This place has great vibes. Let me start there! I love the ambiance and the energy here. The staff was very friendly, especially the bartender Evan. There is a slide upstairs that takes you into the gift shop! It's really fun and I highly recommend. There are designated male and female bathrooms but there is also an option for Family bathrooms which I think is nice. The outside area is enormous! A huge stage, great lawn and lots of seating. There are games throughout the building and overall a really fun place to go and HANGOUT! We did attend on a random weekday during off season and didn't have any food but we would definitely return. Throughout the week there's things like trivia and bingo as well. BIG FULL SCALE REVIEW HERE - So this place is an experience which is why it probably gets the 5 stars from most reviewers. HOWEVER, It could easily get four stars based on a ton of preferences, for instance: The building itself is enormous and two story. There are two bars with daiquiri flavors along with other specialty cocktails. There are a lot of family style tables so when it's crowded you may sit with some strangers since it is a party atmosphere (preference). A MC / Host welcomed everyone like a DJ and made like a cruise director for the meal. It was a nice touch and made it fun and interactive. There is live music in the dead center of the dining area and they were pretty good but it was very loud and made it hard to hold a conversation if they were playing (preference). In addition to the live music there are two GIANT video walls that had basketball and other sports on. Outside there are lawn games and a big Live stage for hat plays host to bands in the summer I'm sure. Our waitress was Alexa and she was outstanding! Bass drums can jack my head up due to health reasons and she was quick to accommodate us moving and checked in on me through the meal. She was also helpful with questions and quick to refill drinks! The food is where there was a discrepancy. It was pub grub and tasted fine. Nothing ground breaking there. However, my shrimp and grits were really good and I probably enjoyed my meal the most out of a burger, tenders, and Po Boy respectively. First, so glad we made reservations- our wait was 10 minutes compared to 55 - 60 mins for those who didn't have reservations. Food and service were good. We had a reservation for 8:00 but didn't get seated until 8:50. While we had a large group, the wait was excessive. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were average and served lukewarm. The live entertainment was repetitive; we heard the same "Happy Birthday" song three times. They need to mix it up and improve their timing for seating. On the positive side, the servers were great and did a wonderful job. Overall, it just wasn't worth the money. If you're in town with a large group, I recommend looking for another place. My family and I ate her for lunch. It is locTed at Broadway at the beach. We were greeted by friendly employees and seated right away. This place is big. We went on a Monday around lunch time so it was not that busy. This place is obviously a place to go for sports, music, a DJ, etc. they also have an outdoor stage for live music and events. We all had cheeseburgers. They were average and mine was cooked unevenly. That probably happened though because you could tell that they were frozen patties. The fries kind of had a carnival taste to them and were well salted. I would eat here again. 3 stars because it was average compared to other places in my opinion. read more

Fun atmosphere. Food was good. Reasonably priced. Everything we ordered was good. My family had the Waygu burger, lifeguard burger, hang 10 burger, snapper platter, salmon ceasar, kids popcorn shrimp. Queso and chicken nachos. We asked for more chips for the dip and were charged $4 without being told. I thought the extra charge was tacky. I mean, we've already spent over $200, give us a few more chips for our dips. Our visit was a mixed bag. Service was awful, we sat for up to 15 minutes without refills; despite cups being empty when food arrived. Our waitress was so soft spoken we couldn't hear her half the time. Our burgers were delicious, the chicken was overcooked and we sent it back. We made a reservation for Monday evening at the hangout at 5 PM for 10 people. The reason we chose Monday is we were told there were free arcade play for Sunday and Monday evenings. I had also read on Facebook that there was live entertainment on Monday evenings. When we sat down, we were immediately greeted by our server. He was amazing and did a fabulous job keeping our drinks filled and food coming. Other than that, everything else was a bust. The arcade consisted of three games total. One game was a four person shooting game with one gun being broken. The other game was a two person driving game on the third a punching game. The live entertainment consisted at an employee commentating on a Mario kart game being played on a large screen on the wall by four patrons. They do a whole spiel at the beginning that was kind of fun if you have someone that has recently had a birthday. Once we were done eating and had been there a little over an hour, we realized the spiel just starts over and is on repeat. I had hoped that this would be an entertainment for the evening for my entire family so that we would not have to go out and spend more money. After an hour of listening to Mario kart commentating and not being able to have table conversation, we were definitely ready to get out of there. The food was just OK. After spending time at Broadway at the Beach trying to get out of the sun, we were all getting hangry. Well dinner time is not an easy time to just walk into a place with a group of 6. We stumbled upon the hangout and decided to give it a try. We were seated within 30 min and sat upstairs overlooking the downstairs seating. Live music from outside was pumped in. Service was a bit slow but these days I can't really blame any places due to staff shortages. Food was just ok. Kind of bland, lots of fried stuff on menu. We decided to try The Hangout for dinner on Thursday (7/27/2023) night after we attempted to get into Paula Deen and was told there was a 2 hour wait there. After waiting in line at The Hangout for about 10 minutes, we were told a 45-60 minute wait. In actuality, we were seated in about a half an hour which was nice. As we were waiting, we browsed the cool/extensive gift shop and made a few purchases. THE BAND OUTSIDE ON THE STAGE WAS SO LOUD. Like if it wasn't for our children being starving, tired towards the end of the day and having parked near Paula Deen and walked all the way over here, we definitely wouldn't have gone here. We requested to be seated inside (in an attempt to avoid some of the sound, but of course we were seated at the table closest to the outside (and the windows were all open). On top of it, they have indoor speakers pumping the music from outside which was completely unnecessary and overpowering. Our waitress couldn't hear us and we couldn't hear her unless she was literally in our faces or waiting until there was a break in the lyrics/song to speak. It was really annoying. Our experience here would have been so much more enjoyable if it wasn't so unbearably loud. We got the chips with salsa and queso, it was good. I had a Shark Attack cocktail which was great. My husband's burger was huge and he really liked it and my shrimp and grits was seriously delicious. The show they put on was fun. Too bad we heard it all during our prior gift shop browsing (through the un-needed gift shop speakers) so when it was put on again (almost scripted word for word) during our dinner, we knew exactly what to expect. No effort to make things right on the final bill and the person who brought it out from the kitchen could not have been any more apathetic to the situation. The auctioning off of food by food runners is just piss poor service that is easily trained for a better experience. Perhaps less focus on throwing napkins and using them instead to document who ordered what on the tray when food is brought out.
