Sometimes I want to have a sandwich like the one's I make at home, but I don't want to buy everything to make it, or I'm on the go working. I don't really like the big sandwich chains all that much because the quality seems to be lacking. We found this place, saw the reviews, & decided to give it a shot! My husband got a turkey sandwich, and I had the Willy B.L.A.T. ( I thinkkkk that was the name) The Willy is so good ( hey! Mind outta the gutter!) Seriously though. Simple. Delicious. Fast.

Excellent sandwiches, super friendly staff. Found this place while golfing in Temecula and loved everything about it. It was super clean, the sandwiches were huge and the owner Ronny is a great guy and made us feel at home which is great especially during these crazy times. I pay attention to how restaurants treat people and handle business and food preparation and Happy Belly Deli and their staff was outstanding! I highly recommend it.

I saw a sign for this place at the Saturday farmers market and decided to try something new. The service here is excellent! When I walked in and mentioned it was my first time in I was given a nice run down of the menu and the place overall. I got the simple sammie as a wrap and it was delicious. On our way back from the farmers market, we stumbled upon The Happy Belly Deli (a mom and pop sandwich shop). Friendly owners, great customer service rapport and the sandwich was one of the best we've had in a very long time. We chose to split the Happy Italian sandwich (salami, pepperoni, hot capicola, mortadella, black olives, provolone, dijonaise, happy sauce, arugula, pickle chips, roasted red peppers, and pepperocini on a hoagie bun) with a side of homemade potato salad. Saw the sign on the corner in Old Town, checked out their website and decided to give them a try. Who doesn't like a good sandwich? This sandwich was really good! Typical meats for an 'Italian' sandwich (I love mortadella), but not your typical veggies, which I liked for a change. No lettuce and tomato, but arugula and roasted red peppers instead. That was/is a nice switch! When trying a new place I will typically get something on the menu with no alterations so I can judge how the food is, as prepared, as I can always tweak it later. Although I did add onion to this. I found this sandwich to be excellent with a nice amount of meat and perfect blend of veggies and sauce. Will definitely go there again! read more

In August of 2021 my fiancé in I stopped in this establishment for lunch after touring wedding venues. My fiancé and I both ordered turkey sandwiches. The female owner of the deli recommended my fiancé not order turkey because of some ingredient. After being puzzled and inquiring why the female owner stated "because you are pregnant." Both of our jaws dropped to the floor. My fiancé is not pregnant. She is a very fit 25 year old. This has never happened to us and is completely inappropriate. The owner then, to our amazement, followed up her train of thought with "well it's because you are glowing and I thought I saw a bump." I do not recommend anyone eating at this establishment owned by someone who could act so rude. She didn't offer an apology or anything. read more

So happy to have found this spot. I love being able to order online and have the option to pay in person when I pick up too, no surprise online fees and easy to add something when we arrive. The shop is in old town, easy parking, outdoor tables, and the friendliness I love in a mom and pop shop. We ordered gluten free bread for our sandwiches and the staff was excited to tell us about the process of finding the perfect gluten free bread. So many sandwich shops have a mediocre gf option but having a shop understand the value of finding that quality is special too. Our sandwiches were tasty and exactly what we were craving. Absolutely always go above and beyond! Everyone is always so friendly and ready to have an awesome engaging conversation with costumers. I've been here a few times now, getting a different sandwich each time and they are all DELICIOUS! I'm impressed with everything I've eaten so far. Today I asked for 2 sandwiches but asked if they could be cut into tiny triangles like tea sandwiches, I brought them to a girls mani/pedi day and it was PERFECT! I'm so happy they could cut them that small for me. And the sandwiches were so delicious! My favorite so far is the curry chicken salad, but I can't wait to try even more items from the menu! read more

I recently moved to Temecula and have been looking for "my sandwich shop". I've tried a few of what Yelp lists as the best and haven't been very impressed. Today, I was walking around the old town farmers market and got hungry but noticed a standing banner on the corner of the road that read "sandwiches". I figured I may as well give it a shot. I walked up to the store front and noticed the sign read "a mom and pop sandwich shop"- that couldn't have been more true. As I entered the store the owners children are in there playing on their iPads in the corner while mom and dad and running their store. I loved this aspect! It truly made me feel that I was at a local, family owned and operated shop. The best part? The sandwiches were great too! I got one of their hot sandwiches and have now found "my sandwich shop". The employees, owners, and children were so nice and welcoming. Not only were they great, but the food was too. This is my first review ever but knew they deserved it. You guys rock! read more

I work in Old Town and always say we need a good sandwich shop. Good news, its here! I tried Happy Belly for the first time and will definitely be back. Had the caprese sandwich and added the pesto aiolui and OMG the flavor was amazing!!! The bread is seriously so dang soft. And we ordered online and it was ready when we got there, which was convenient. We talked to the owner Ronnie for a few minutes. Really nice guy and good customer service. Fantastic sandwiches!!! Tried 3 so far and can't pick a favorite yet. All were as good as the next. Good size and stuffed with meat. They do have tables set up outside so you can eat there. Most sandwiches are 8.95 to 9.95 and are a great valve. read more

To my surprise, their house-made sandwiches are served on freshly baked bread, made with fresh ingredients, and cost under $10 (Panera could never!!!). Their baked goods were also reasonably priced with generous portions. We picked up the Cinnamon Burst Bread, a cinnamon roll, a honey bran muffin (which completely stole the show for me; it was incredibly moist and I'd come back just for that) and an almond poppy seed scone. The service here was just as impressive. Everyone was so friendly and personable and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed being there. I also loved their "Giving Rack," where anyone in need can take free baked goods. It's such a thoughtful idea and says a lot about the kind of business they are. We politely asked if it would be possible to move to a different table. We completely understood if there wasn't one available and didn't mind waiting longer, but the host's attitude made us feel like our concern wasn't valid. We ended up waiting another hour before being seated elsewhere. If the restaurant knew the odor outside was that bad, they shouldn't have been seating guests in that area. The smell can make it impossible to enjoy a meal, and the way our request was handled left a negative impression. Hopefully, they can improve both the seating arrangements and the customer service in situations like this.

Last time, my fiancée and I came in on our engagement day to celebrate with brunch and were turned away at the door because we had iced coffees from next door. Real classy way to treat customers. Management never responded to that review. Shocker. So against my better judgment, I gave them another shot this morning. Here's what happened: I have a gluten allergy. I told my waitress. I specifically asked her to check whether one of the menu items was gluten-free -- which she did -- and I clearly asked for my toast on a separate plate so my wife could have it. Simple request. Clear communication. Done. Food came out with bread sitting directly on top of everything on my plate. When I pointed out the mistake and reminded them of my allergy, the person who delivered the food had the audacity to respond with an irritated "I guess we are going to have to remake the food." You messed up the order. The attitude is completely backwards. Then my waitress came back to tell me she "didn't know" about my allergy. I stated it twice and had her look something up because of it. Either she didn't write it down, or the kitchen ignored it entirely. Either way -- a gluten allergy isn't a preference, it's a health issue. First plate took 15 minutes. Remake took another 15. While sitting outside waiting, we overheard our waitress telling another table their order had also been messed up by the kitchen. So it's not just us. Let's be honest about what The Mill serves: basic breakfast. Eggs, bacon, potatoes. This isn't a Michelin-starred tasting menu. It's breakfast. And you still managed to get it wrong twice in one visit. The "breakfast pizza" I've tried before wasn't good either. And the apple chicken sausage? It tastes like wet dog food -- I don't know what's in that but it should not be on the menu. To their credit, they remade the food and our waitress was pleasant despite everything. The hal-o-penyo sauce was genuinely good. That's it. That's the entire list of positives. The real issue is systemic. The kitchen staff is either disorganized or resentful about their own mistakes. Communication between the floor and the kitchen is nonexistent. Management clearly doesn't care -- they didn't respond to my last review, and nothing has changed. A restaurant that can't handle allergy requests for a scrambled eggs order is not a restaurant that takes its customers seriously. I gave you two chances. You burned both. I won't be back, and I'll be making sure my friends and family know exactly what to expect here.

The portions were giant, but the quality was very high. We were given all the sauces to try -- garlic, tzatziki, spicy -- and I enjoyed all of them. I had beef shawarma and at my wife's chicken and both were juicy and flavorful. Sadly, we don't live nearby, but if you're reading this, I expect you pay them a visit!
