Reaaaaallly liked this place. Awesome atmosphere inside. I wish there were more restaurants like this in Gp. I ordered the Cuban. It was very good. Not a traditional Cuban but still a great sandwich. Something I'd order again. The guy I was with ordered one of each type of taco. One was a pork belly, the other a veggie, and I don't remember what the third was. He said the pork belly and the veggie taco were on point. And that he'd give the win to the veggie taco. I also had one of their homemade sodas. I think it was berry basil? It was berry good. (I'm sorry, I had to) Will definitely be back. My wife and I have tried to come by a bunch of different times but it has always been on a Friday or Saturday night and they always have live music. They have great options for vegans! My boyfriend Nd I both tried their vegan tacos and got a side (more like pile!) of vegan garlic fries SO YUM for about 13$! They put bright delicious cactus in their tacos and my tummy had never felt happier ! read more

The first thing we noticed was the almost totally opened front of the shirt one of the female bartenders was wearing. It was a creamy-colored shear shirt and she had long necklaces on with it. Very pretty, actually. The only problem was the first button was at her waist and when she bent over, even slightly, you pretty much had no choice but to see the little she had up top. Wasn't so awkward when we ordered from her at the bar but later she came to clear our table and leaned into my husband to pick up his plate and gave him a show. We both got a good laugh out of it but Wow! Really? Lunch with a girl friend and we decided here based off yelp reviews. Grilled chicken burger was delicious along with the garlic fries! The ceased salad was a little spicy for my white girl taste, I think Cajun spice was in it and I wasn't expected that but I still managed to eat half of it. My pineapple strawberry margarita helped keep my mouth cool. It was beautiful outside and had a great atmosphere. Will definitely keep eating here. read more

The great atmosphere, wide selection of micro brews, and delicious food make The Haul a must go stop in Grants Pass. Most people I've spoken to find this little gem to be very reminiscent of something that would be found in Portland and I agree. Keep your expectations within reason and you should be walking out of here a fan. My recommendations would be The Cuban, one of the top five sandwiches I've ever had. Quite possibly the worst pizza I have ever had. Although the beer was good. The owners need to find someone that knows how to make good pizza like the Kaleidoscope pizza place in Medford. If they would do that their business would be overflowing out the door. If you go there eat something other than the pizza. read more

Casual atmosphere good for small groups. Menu has good variety. The wood fire pizzas are especially good. Falafel sandwich and salmon burger are nice lighter options. Good service and good pricing. I would come back to try more items. read more

Good Lord, where do I start. The food poisoning...the fact none of our food was hot...the 50 minute wait for our food... anyways. We get there, wait 20 minutes in line, pay for our food (chicken feta pizza, burger, fries and 2 orders of tacos) and get shorted on my change, didn't worry about it and Sit down, I get my pizza 25 minutes after ordering, I finish it and get a to-go box. 10 minutes LATER everyone else food comes. Literally cold fries, cold dry chicken tacos, and a burger my friend wasn't impressed with either. My pizza tasted like someone dumped an entire container of salt on it, and the chicken tasted funny...but gave them the benefit of the doubt and finished it. I jokingly said to my friends "here comes the food poisoning!" as they sent ALL their food back to the kitchen, thinking it couldn't get worse. It could. I'm 99% sure they brought out the SAME exact fries but poured hot grease on them. Because the little hole in the fries where the dip was, was still there. The tacos, were exactly the same temperature as the first time...and after sitting their for almost an hour AFTER I finished my pizza waiting for them to finish, I start to get a light stomach ache. We leave, and within 10 minutes of being home I threw up over 15 times until it was pure water. (Out the other end, too) the guy who ordered the burger had a light stomach ache as well, but not as bad as me. I told myself the last 2 times I went there, that I'd never go there again. Because the first 2 times were just like this, minus the food poisoning. This tipped it over the top. I can't believe that place can pass health inspection. I don't know how this place has stayed in business. Never again, and I hope I saved someone the trouble of almost going to the ER. UPDATE. Just gave it another shot, figured it might have just been a bad day...literally got food poisoning AGAIN from something totally different. DO NOT EAT HERE, THEY ARE NOT SANITARY!!! read more

We were so happy we found this place. Great selection of beers...not the usuals. I had Yerba Matay (sp diff in Spanish) that was made with really hot water to bring out all the benefits and flavors. One night we had delicious pizza - simple, but each flavor stood out. Not heavy with too much cheese like many pizzas. Another time we had two excellent sandwiches that came with lots of fries covered with an original gently spicy sauce. Not the place for a four course meal, but a light pub meal with food served with a unique touch that made it memorable. read more

As an old employee, and now just a patron I am so disappointed in the way this business has gone down hill. I have witnessed several employee and employer confrontations right outside the doors as I have entered; and even some inside, during business hours. The employees are clearly burnt out, disappointed and not properly trained. Every time I see the owner he looks frazzled and irritated, and really aloof to the goings on in the restaurant. The food varies in appearance and flavor based on who is cooking, as do the drinks. There was a case on the counter that contained house baked items and I enjoyed the new weekly additions, however I came in this week and it was gone. I was told by staff the owner removed it. I feel like every time I come in things are changed, chaotic, food quality varies and the employees are just so confused and running around in a state of panic and frustration. This restaurant has a lot of work to do to ever have me as a patron again, but for now I strongly discourage anyone from going here. read more

First time I ate here the fries and pizza were so good I couldn't wait to go back. I just went again and I ordered a burger special for $13 and the fries were limp and cold. My guest had the pizza and it was burned on top and raw in the middle. She got her $$ back and they refried my fries that were now soggy but hot. Won't be back. read more

Great food, great selection. The Dino kale salad tastes great--a little spicy, with great texture from the kale, and lovely flavors from the candied walnuts and dressing. A little heavy on the dressing for my taste, but light so it wasn't a big deal. And the pizza was lovely. We loved that they use crushed tomatoes rather than sauce. It provides a great lightness and freshness on the pizza. The crust's texture is great, but could be a little more flavorful. In all, a great dinner. read more

Let me start by saying that I have eaten their pizza previously and it was good. *******HOWEVER, tonight we went to sit out on the patio with our puppy to have a simple meal. The waitress greeted our puppy with lots of love and affection. However she did not wipe off our table, she did not offer us a beverage, she did not give us menus, she did not give us silverware. She disappeared. Now here's the AWFUL part .....our puppy was drinking some water and we noticed that his mouth was completely red. We realized that he was bleeding quite a bit from his mouth. When I was tending to him and examining him to see where the blood was coming from, I noticed that there were quite a few pieces of BROKEN GLASS under our table, and unfortunately our puppy grabbed one of them. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I have worked in many restaurants, and accidents do happen, however it is the staffs responsibility to make sure that every last tiny piece of broken plates or broken glass are picked up so that nobody can step on them, so no children can get cut by them, and so that no dogs would grab a piece of glass under a table and cut their mouths open. Obviously, we left immediately to take care of our puppy.....but even if he hadn't gotten hurt, we would have left because we were ignored by our server. There is no excuse for this. read more

We stopped on our way south. The atmosphere was fantastic and I had a hard cider from the tap. Overall our family of 4 was disappointed because the flavors were bland even though we ordered food that is traditionally well spiced. Here were the positives: Cuban sandwich roll, pickled veggies, side of greens, dry hard cider on tap and the atmosphere. Disappointing: chicken tacos, chorizo tacos, Cuban sandwich because the food was bland and a little greasy. Bad: chicken wings because they were soggy and flavorless and garlic fries because there was no garlic. read more

Best place to stop by on the 5 as you are heading up north or back down south to the bay area. We stopped here for lunch on our way back to San Francisco and we were entirely pleased with The Haul. Best tomato gazpacho soup, great portion sizes of their salmon salad and their mushroom pizza. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was their nitro coffee.. it just couldn't quite compete with Stumptown. All in all I am sad that this place isn't located back home as I would most certainly be one of their most loyal patrons if it was! read more

We came here to check out the art show this weekend and were told to come to the haul to have some good eats. Let me just tell you, it was from a 10 to a 0 real quick. We entered and weren't greeted at all. -1 We ordered, sat outside, and slowly began to be served our food. As the bus boy put our pizza on the table he tipped over my bottle of Coca Cola all over me and all he did was apologize and bring me more napkins. -5! I've worked in the restaurant industry before and when you spill something on someone you comp their drink/plate/dessert, what ever it takes to earn their trust back. Not what this guy did. Our food arrived at all different times and the pizza was so thin and mushy the toppings didn't even stick. -3! If I could give this place no stars I would.
