We had the butternut tacos, the bianimal burger & a special of ribs, fries & salad. Meats were moist & flavorful. Salads with a nice variety of greens & a tasty house vinaigrette. Great beer options (Belgian ale was amazing) and friendly people, but food was just okay. This is one of the best spots in Grants Pass.

Staff is really sweet and friendly. It's always refreshing when beards are part of the uniform. Food was tasty and interesting. I learned that putting wine in your whiskey is next level. Thanks for the great time! read more

Clean place that did not have enough seating when we went. The service is good and the atmosphere was good too, except for a couple jerks who decided to smoke five feet from the front doors of the restaurant. They were like "Hey, we're cool hipsters who act like we don't care about how we look but only decided to grow beard out after it had been cool for four years. Let's blow foul smelling chemicals on all these people around us who are trying to enjoy their food." Guys like that should have their brown penny-loafers taken off and get smacked in the head with them. The burgers and tacos were mediocre. The pizza was great. The churros were heaven, rolled and dipped in pure bliss, dipped in Nirvana. If you even consider going to this place without getting the churros you should not be allowed to vote. read more

Long time customer, first time reviewer! I give 3 stars for ownerships decision making regarding upstairs, but would gladly give 5 STARS for what it could be!!!! My friends and I were so happy to be upstairs enjoying perfectly made cocktails from GP's resident drink magician, Blake. What was especially nice was the ability to actually hold a conversation with him; usually the random and haphazard genres of way-too-loud music prevent us from enjoying what The Haul Upstairs so clearly is- GP's go-to destination for good vibes, pleasant conversation, and excellent libations. If only there was a consistent vibe upstairs based on what it actually feels like as opposed to what it's trying to be. I own a music festival, I get the need for live music, but maybe turn the volume down below 11 and have the tunes fit the vibe... open a second location if ya wanna take over the music scene, but don't do it at the expense of such an amazing mixologist. Dissapointing...Visiting from out of town and relying on Yelp for a recommendation. Tried the Laughing Clam, but a very long wait. Came here as our second choice, no wait at all. That should have been our first clue. Wait staff was friendly, cafeteria style ordering at the counter. Good beer selection and recommendation, but that's all the positive I have to say. I ordered a brick oven pizza...terrible. Soggy crust, no nice char, tasted like canned sauce. Mozerrala cheese was chalk like and broke off in chunks. My wife had the chicken pesto sandwich. Dry chicken breast with no flavor, she couldn't finish it. The handcut fries were the star of her meal. Avoid the dirty self-serve water station. I am sure there are better choices in Grants Pass. read more

Excellent beer. I had the lunch lasagna special. It was magnificent! Unfortunately it took forever to come out and was slightly warm in the middle. I like my lasagna hot. Codos to whoever did the receipe, hats off to them. I just wish I waited until after the meal to tip. Very disappointed. read more

Great place! We hade the smoked pork chop, everybody loved it, the pickled plate, fantastic selection of fermented veggies, and curry potatoes, all great. Atmosphere is super hip/ casual. Great addition to the valley. We will be back. read more

Wow, great place! The pork chop is to die for! It is literally 1 inch thick and rivals any steak out there! With veggies and potatoes, the entree is only $17! The Cubanos' and the dry rubbed rib special were also great! The pork is from the owner's own Hogs, as is the beer! The prices are very reasonable and the setting is very fun! I would highly recommend this restaurant! read more

We were waiting to order for more than 15 minutes. They didn't have what I wanted, so I made an alternate order. The bartender , Blake, obviously didn't understand what I wanted. OK .... obviously I am too old for this place. I ordered the three types of tacos and tried their handmade soda. The tacos had lots of meat but little else. The veggie taco was enjoyable. The soda - the menu warns you about a vinegar taste. But good God. I had to get a coke to enjoy the rest of the meal. I guess I am just not cool/hip or whatever enough to understand. read more

Awesome people, food, and music....something GP has needed for years! I had watched their building go through so many changes over the decades, and this is the exact end that I hoped it would have. I've met some amazing people, had some amazing drinks, ate the dankest food made from the freshest ingredients, and you can buy organic seasonal produce here! Can't wait to go back! read more

The Haul is pretty good. Get their Cuban! It is absolutely delicious. The pulled pork sandwich wasn't worth it. Not much flavor or meat on it. Their fries are tasty. We don't drink alcohol so we tried their homemade soda which has shrubs in it. It was our first time trying soda with shrubs in it and we weren't fans of it. It tasted like drinking apple cider vinegar. I don't recommend it. But they have a huge alcoholic drink menu if that's your thing. The staff was friendly. Excellent food and service. The portions aren't huge, so don't expect to leave with much. Everything we tried was very good. There isn't a large selection for younger kids, but they made grilled cheese without a problem. The special dessert was a peanut butter bar. Been looking for a new place with great food with no luck until now! Wow! What an experience. Everything was stellar from the food to the beer to the staff. We even got a taste of the house butchered smoked pork fresh out of the smoker. We didn't even ask, one of the owners just brought it to our table and it was incredible.
