    44 Farms Bistro Filet

Overall Rating: 9.5 out of 10 We went here on a Friday evening, made a reservation beforehand for 7 pm, for a family dinner. Let's just say the first 15 minutes was a bit frustrating, not due to any fault of the restaurant; finding parking was very difficult!!! Pro tip 1: make a reservation, this place gets full! Pro tip 2: go here early, finding parking is pretty difficult and requires patience Now that the only negative is out of the way, let's focus on the many positives! Atmosphere: since we had a reservation, we got seated almost immediately. The restaurant was packed and buzzing! Lots of smiles could be seen and laughters could be heard around the restaurant. Cosy and warm atmosphere. We absolutely loved it! Rating: 9.5 out of 10 Food: everything we tried here was easily a 9 or a 10 out of 10! What we tried: - Bread Basket with Honey Butter & Cherry Jam - breads were soft, warm and freshly baked. Butter was creamy and perfectly sweet. The Cherry Jam was amazing and was the perfect pair for the Honey Butter. 10 out of 10. - 44 Farms Bistro Filet - tallow seared steak, Comeback sweet potato mash, lemon garlic sautéed broccolini, crispy onions. The steak was perfectly cooked; you could taste the pure beefyness of the steak; no additional, unnecessary sauces or marinade. The crispy onion was the perfect contrast to the sweet potato mash. Simply loved it! 9 out of 10. - The Whole Beast - my nephew ordered this and seemed very satisfied with his decision. The portion size was huge. 9 out of 10. - Texas Striped Bass - pan seared filet, Texas Fungus mushrooms, spiced buckwheat, Comeback Red Hubbard squash sauce, crispy garden sage, pickled turnip. The Striped Bass was cooked perfectly with a crispy skin and a soft melt in our mouth fish flesh. The veggies were tasty and flavorful, portion was a bit small. 8 out of 10. Rating: 9 out of 10 Customer Service: customer service was immaculate. They constantly checked up on us and ensured that we were comfortable. Gave us an extra bread basket for free simply because they saw how much we enjoyed our bread baskets. Service was efficient, fast and simply perfect Rating: 10 out of 10

We had a lovely dinner here! Our waitress was so friendly and helped us pick out what to order. We started with the rolls which were delicious, and I absolutely loved the chicken & spaetzle. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. It was a nice spin on chicken piccata. My husband had the pork chop and also really enjoyed it. Our waitress brought out complimentary dessert and the silk pie was so rich and yummy. The restaurant is also in a very cozy home. Highly recommend!

What an amazing place!! I have had the Heritage Table on my list to try for over a year and finally had the chance to visit last night. I had read it was one of Collin County's best restaurants and it did not disappoint. I am a huge fan of farm-to-table style restaurants and love the Frisco history associated with the building itself as well. We were able to find parking in one of the accompanying lots and were promptly seated for our 6:45pm reservation. We had a choice between the main dining room and screened-in porch. We went with the main dining room because it was raining, but the screened-in porch was actually completely covered and looked nice as well. Our waitress was incredibly kind and accommodating, she also visited with us the right amount of times, not too many or too little. Another waiter also came by to chat a couple of times about our experience and the historical art on the wall. We were specifically sitting underneath an old map of Collin county and he showed us where we live and where the restaurant was located, which was very cool. To begin the night, we ordered both of the house breads. This included the Sourdough with beef tallow butter and the Milk & Honey Rolls with fried-green tomato jam, bourbon jam and butter. Both of these were amazing!! The sourdough rolls were one of my favorite items of the night and actually one of the best pieces of bread I have ever had! I am a huge bread person so it was love at first bite! We also ordered the Grilled Peach Salad, which included Jubilant greens, romaine, sweet tea vinegarette, grilled Texas peaches, lemon, praline pecans, peach ricotta, fresh radish, and basil. It was a tasty salad and I particularly enjoyed the peach ricotta on the side. For our entrees, we ordered the Range Hand Short Rib and Country-Fried Chicken & Spaetzle. The short rib was pan-seared, boneless and served with sweet potato mash, accompanied by grilled broccolini and pickled red onion. This steak was amazing, it was perfectly cooked with a crispy outside and paired perfectly with the provided sides. It was one of the better steaks I have tried this year! The country-fried chicken was served with lemon butter sauce, capers and was on top of sourdough spaetzle with dressed Jubilant greens and farm pickles. This was a tasty, refreshing dish and the sourdough spaetzle was delightful! It was not too heavy and the chicken was fried perfectly, as it easily cut and tasted delicious. For dessert, we finished the night with the Golden Milk Bread Pudding. It had sorghum marshmallow on top and was paired with vanilla ice cream to the side. This bread pudding was also absolutely amazing! It was not too sweet or bitter, and the marshmallow and cinnamon on top was a perfect touch! Overall, we had a fantastic experience, the staff was kind, the food was amazing and our expectations were exceeded! It is worth navigating through the busy Main Street construction! This was one of the best meals I have had this year and Heritage Table is one of our new favorite restaurants! We plan to come back to try different seasonal dishes and are interested in Chef's Tasting Menu and HT Provisions Club. Thank you so much for a great night!

Heritage Table lives inside an old house with so much Southern charm it should come with a rocking chair and unsolicited life advice. The floors creaked like they were whispering secrets from 1892, and I loved every noisy second of it. The cuisine was Southern, technically. But I turned it into tapas, per usual, because commitment is hard. I ordered the fried green tomatoes (crispy little legends), pickled shrimp (zesty overachievers), and the fish filet with bok choy (because protein) Everything was fresh and flavorful! Will return.

Uncle invited the family to this place on a friday night. Only one of us had been there before so it was new to most of us. Usually dont mention the outside of the places I review however the only thing that I will have to say negatively about the place is that due to its popularity and its relatively small parking space it can be a pain to find a parking spot especially on the weekends. My uncle ordered some rolls for the table and they were really good along both the honey butter and cherry jam. I ordered the beast which was a pork loin on seasoned grits. Altogether compared to the steak and fish it was the largest entree on the table for which I was glad. The service was constant and they had me seated almost as soon as I came in through the door and told them about the reservation my uncle had made, so a good deal of attention was always on us customers. Overall and excellent experience besides the limited parking. I could see myself coming to try other items and bring others along to experience it. I hope they keep up the good work for future visits.

It's my first visit to The Heritage Table on a weeknight. Quiet and empty of diners then. When my friend and I were seated out on their enclosed porch, I immediately noticed that our tabletop was not completely wiped clean. When voiced, our server did have someone to clear the matter. Lacking was the flow of the rest of the evening, with our cocktails being served after our appetizers, the slow pacing of courses, and, our water glasses only filled when asked. For dinner, nicely battered was the "Fried Green Tomatoes"; real tasty and heavenly crusted "Chicken Pot Pie"; and, lackluster was their "Chocolate Silk Pie". I so wanted to love and share the whole fine dining with comfort food experience with my friend here as before - but alas we left not totally satisfied! Cheers!

A must-go-to! You will immediately feel welcomed upon entering. This restaurant is delicious, and the food will not disappoint you. The service was great, and the restaurant gives you a warm, southern home feel. I would advise everyone to bookmark this restaurant or make reservations now--you'll want to try it for yourself.

I have to admit, I live in a bit of a bubble. Last night, I left, and i got up to Frisco to try The Heritage Table. Blown away. It was delicious. The street is totally torn up, but it was easy find and easy to park. Lovely little old house. I hovered up the fried green tomatoes, redfish and chocolate pie. Oh and the rolls with cheery bourbon jam!! Hm, it's good. Rolled out stuffed and happy.

    Striped bass with grits.

We started with the rolls and fried green tomatoes. Huge rolls and delicious whipped butter. The tomatoes were a little greasy but delicious. The striped bass and grits were moist and tasty. The filet was tender. Filet is not grilled. Our server, Kristen, was outstanding.

This place is absolutely amazing. I've been in the Denton area for two years and I can't believe I've missed it. The food was outstanding - delicious! And creative and fresh. The staff was top-notch. I wish I could remember the name of my server, I really was blessed by her. And the atmosphere is cozy and special and boutique and intimate and wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Really LOVED it here! I wish we tried it sooner. Everything at The Heritage Table was great - fresh & tasty food, awesome service, and cozy ambiance. Everything here is made from scratch in house and I could tell all the ingredients they used were super fresh. They rotate their menu based on the seasonal ingredients which I also love. My husband and I enjoyed all the food here but the most surprising was the rolls. It could be very plain but the whipped butter and their green tomato jam were great to pair with the rolls. The server was super friendly and gave recommendations and I could tell she loved working there too. Very pleasant first experience and I will definitely go back. Great place to take visitors too in my opinion!

First time here and this place did not disappoint. There are two parking lots for ample parking and the location was easy to find. Everything we got tasted delicious and the drinks were good. We ordered Frisco cosmopolitan and malbec paired with our fried green tomatoes and koftla wraps. For the main entree, we got steak and potatoes and chicken pot pie with side salad. I wanted the keylime pie but I got so full it was time to go. The service was great and I'll definitely be back.

The service was nice, ambiance was comforting, and food was delicious. The Cherry Buzz was a nice mix of strength and sweetness. I had The Beast since it was recommended by the server and it was decent. I'm not a fan of Black Eyed Peas, but I enjoyed all the meats on the plate. The Country-Fried Chicken Spaetzle was the best dish, even better than the Wagyu Steak. We did not care for the Pickled Shrimp. They were tiny and the flavors were off. We couldn't wait to be saved by our main entrees.

We had reservations but there was no major crowd at 5:30. The place is contemporary, white tiles, brass finishes. Fully stocked bar. Nice big windows. We split the SPREADABLE WHIPPED LEMON BASIL GOAT CHEESE. Loved this. But note to the Chef or food prep - the toast crackers had so many holes in the bread, there was NO surface for the spreadable. Pieces of toast were basically outer crust and the inner area of bread had 90% giant holes. It was comical. Whoever plated this should have been more selective. My wife had the Salmon and I had the steak. The steak had a large pad of delicious blue cheese and butter on top of it, that slowly melted over the steak and potatoes. That was special. I am so sick and tired of restaurants getting hyper-commercial frozen garbage and pretending like…read morethey're actually cooking something. 90% of the places around here are just using taking boxes of frozen whatever and passing it off like their actually cooking food. Hadn't been to Didi's in quite a while and was craving a burger. I had had enough of nearly everything within a 3 mile radius and remembered that Didi's used to have good food. Holy, the burger was Exactly what I was looking for. Not some box of patties, but actually a hamburger made like an actual restaurant should make. Made there in the kitchen with a blend of meats (I asked the waitress after I finished). And I can't STAND all the garbage fries served as nothing but cheap calorie fillers so I tried the elote (corn). Ordered the elote corn here and omg, I literally could not have cooked it better myself. And I've tried to nail a taste like this. I'm sure this sounds contrived. But i have no dog in this hunt, just noting that this is how a restaurant is supposed to deliver and it did. Very refreshing, will be back next week.
