Something they think is a smash burger.

Hands down, the worst burger I have ever had. A smash burger should still be juicy. This burger was the width of a slice of bologna and beyond over cooked. The truffle cheese covered maybe an inch in the burger. Tasteless doesn't even begin to describe it. They topped it off with burnt bacon. Did they not look at it before they served it. The service was good and it had a cool ambiance. That could not make up for the food. A crappy burger, a chicken sandwich a less than stellar pork belly bowl, one iced tea and a draft beer all for $93. This place is no where near worth what they charge. They should be happy that the customer base doesn't seem to care about taste or quality.

We tried the Hideout while in Crested Butte and were not disappointed! We were immediately seated in the bar area - for larger parties keep in mind that this is a smaller restaurant so they may not have room. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant, low lighting, cute bar area & cool location. We had the crab cake as an appetizer (highly recommend), a chicken salad wrap with fried and the lettuce wraps - everything we had was amazing but our favorite was the lettuce wrap!

Small upstairs bar and restaurant in CB. The inside is small and cozy but a little cramped. The service was attentive and the food was good. Here's what we had: Waygu Cheeseburger- Pretty good burger. I felt like I was eating a healthier hamburger. The flavor was good but could have been seasoned a bit more. 3.5 of 5 stars Pork belly bahn mi: Man this was good! Definitely a 5 star bhan mi! Service - good service, they had several servers check on us. 5 of 5 stars.

My S.O. and I were in Crested Butte for a weekend getaway. We walked into The Hideout not knowing what kind of food they had. And we were delighted with our dinner. First, we ordered two appetizers. the Deviled eggs and dry rub wings. Both were delicious! My S.O. ordered the 2 buns with bulgogi pork and lettuce wraps, which he really enjoyed. I ordered a banh mi sandwich with bulgogi pork and Kim chi as my side. then we ordered grilled broccolini as a side to share. Everything was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend this menu with Asian style food along with the American food. Our waiter was friendly and quick to bring out food and drinks. We sat indoors as it looked like rain, but they also have an outdoor patio, which looked nice.

arrived at 5pm for early dinner and we were seated outside right away. Patio is really lovely. We tired the nachos w pork belly and rice noodle salad with bulgolgi - both really yummy and a perfect post hike meal!

We enjoyed the bao buns and lettuce wrap combo. It was good portions. The proteins (fried chicken and pork belly) and toppings were all really nice. Husband really enjoyed his tacos too.

Cute little restaurant that quite literally felt like you were in a hideout. We were seated with a party of 6 and our table and seats were a little cramped but that was alright. Service was attentive and our food was good for the price. I really enjoyed their bao and Wagyu burger.

Dined here yesterday even for dinner with friends. Had a delicious burger! I decided on the Pow Hound Burger. It had pork belly on it which I'm a sucker for. It also had a chili crunch ranch on it which worked so well with the flavor it the burger. I also ordered a side of ranch for the fries since I love me some condiments. The ranch was definitely homemade and heavy on the dill. But a little dill never bothered me hehe. We also tried an order of the Dank Os which were some fancy loaded onion rings. They had an Asian flair to them and man did the flavors just sing! Great creation! Overall a great spot to hit when in town visiting.

As soon as we heard the owners of secret stash opened another restaurant in town, we knew we had to try it, and I'm so glad we did! This will now be another frequented spot any time we're in Crested Butte. Our server, Choyjng, was phenomenal and probably one of the most attentive and genuinely friendly servers I've had in a while, I will say, none us enjoyed the cocktails we ordered (strawberry zen, uzuloma, & toki toki) and thus if we were to go back, we'd probably skip alcoholic drinks or just order a basic well cocktail. We got the dank o's as an appetizer which were bomb! These were way better than the normal onion rings you get out. For entrees we got the shrimp po boy, bao bundle (fried chicken and birria), and the fried chicken sandwich. Everyone was really satisfied and pleased with their meal! The birria bao was less flavorful than expected and thus I probably wouldn't order that one again, but the fried chicken one was delicious! Personally, I would have given the restaurant 4/5 just because of the drinks and one of my bao's being under seasoned/flavored, but the tables ruling was 5/5.

    Pow Hound Burger

The Hideout with a 4.5 Yelp score? Sadly, you have lost touch with reality if you rate this anything less than a 5! The Pow Hound Burger, a Wagyu beef patty, reminded me what living tastes like. If you're the kind of person who thinks a burger is just a burger, get ready to have your entire world flipped upside down. This isn't just a meal, it's a spiritual experience. Topped with crispy pork belly, cheddar, and crispy chili crunch, my taste buds ascended to another plane of existence before I even took my second bite of this impeccable Asian fusion take on a burger. But wait, let me tell you about the fries that will make you never want to go to In-N-Out ever again. These aren't your average potato sticks. These are crunchy, golden warriors of flavor, and when dipped in the gochujang aioli, you become armed with a katana to kill your hunger. They may just be the fries of the gods. Not to be outdone, the Local Gem salad with fried chicken was a sneaky superstar. Now, I know what you're thinking, "How could a salad stand up next to the Pow Hound Burger?" Oh, but it does. It's like ordering a refreshing sidekick that secretly trains harder than the hero. Crisp greens, spiced nuts, and house pickles--this salad made me rethink every bad thing I ever said about healthy eating. Add the fried chicken, and you're basically eating gourmet while pretending to be healthy. Genius. I considered never leaving this place--like, ever. Just me, my Pow Hound, the salad, and a lifetime supply of fries. Maybe I could start a new life here, show up to work meetings via Zoom from the patio with a burger in hand. Forget all your attachments to the material world and transcend to the new plane of existence at The Hideout. TL;DR: The Pow Hound Burger might just change your life. The Local Gem salad is deceptively amazing. I have no complaints, except that I can't eat here every day because the commute from Denver would be too much... but so worth it.

Great food! The bao, burger, and banh mi were all tasty. Nice outdoor seating, not crowded for our post-bike ride late lunch.

First, the restaurant is beautiful, nestled in the heart of Buena Vista on Main St near all the excitement! The decor was perfectly placed with an elegant feel of a jazzy night in a forest. The ambiance was nice, very clean, and the service was top notch! Chris and Goff (sorry if it's spelled wrong) helped us last night and today when we went back to try the lunch specials. They remembered us and were always kind to check on us if we needed anything. Our plates were always quickly cleaned off our table and the waitresses were very kind and polite. The food was impeccable! The miso soup was refreshing with a strong dashi broth to warm you up on a cold night. The I Love Salmon came with 5 pieces of sashimi, 3 nigiri and their JB Roll (salmon and cream cheese). It was beautifully plated on a playful and colorful plate. The pieces of fish were thick and the rice was warm with a perfect amount of flavor. This is honestly my favorite sushi spot after trying many sushi places across California from LA to Humboldt and in Las Vegas from Tao to All You Can Eat options of every tier. The dragon roll was another plate of perfection with thick pieces of shrimp tempura with a good crunch to it! Today we came back and tried their lunch menu. I was surprised to see it not as busy as the lunch menu has great options and prices! I got the pad Thai box which came with chicken or tofu pad Thai (I got chicken), 4 pieces of California Roll, 3 pieces of nigiri and 3 pieces of sashimi for only $22. Honestly that's such a steal! My husband got the curry box which came with a bowl of chicken curry, steamed rice, 4 pieces of California rolls, 3 nigiri pieces and 3 sashimi pieces for the same price of $22. Perfect if you'd like to try a sample of different things they have. We also tried their Seafood Sampler which came with Calamari, Fried Shrimp and Fried Crab. It was a great appetizer and the sauces complimented the seafood so well. On a side note the little slices of oranges that came with it were also really sweet! I wish I had the whole orange. Lastly we shared the mango strawberry float which is a refreshing sweet drink. The mango on top reminded me of sherbet which was very light and the drink had a good sweetness to it from the strawberries. This is definitely a must go to if you're in or driving through Buena Vista, Colorado. Perfect place for any occasion with a calm dimly lit restaurant. Thank you again for the meal and the hospitality! We can't wait to go back!

Didn't try the sushi, figured it's a largely Thai influenced fusion. The Basil fried rice wasn't too impressive, it was on the wet side. Portion is large though. Tonkatsu ramen was just ok too. The marinaded eggs were not soft cooked, but we were craving for Asian so that's what we got! Again portion was generous so the three of us shared these 2 entrees and got pretty full. The Thai iced tea tiramisu sounded really yummy and looked super good from the picture on the menu. Reality? Not so much. Still any sweet treat at the end of a meal is better than no treat at all.

The ambience is very nice. It is open and bright and clean and Asian. They also had a case of desserts (like tiramisu) and ice cream. I've been going to Fairplay for years. I never stopped here because I didn't know what it would be like. Well let me tell you, the service could not have been better. Welcoming, efficient, readily able to make requested adjustments to dishes. There are many items on the menu to choose from. We had tofu and vegetables sesame chicken. Both were just so amazingly delicious. I actually find myself thinking of finding an excuse to go back to FairPlay so I can get such wonderful food again because in my area it's hard to find such good Asian food. I cannot recommend this place enough. It checked all of the boxes and then some. The only downside is there are no lunch specials but I felt like the food was worth every penny we paid.
