Oh man, unfortunately, after reading great reviews from fellow Yelpers, I was very let down. My husband and I came here for the first time today because I specifically heard they have great omelets and he is doing a low-carb diet. I ordered the loaded biscuits and gravy and he ordered the "which came first" omelet. Starting with the omelet review, very disappointing. There was almost no cheese in it and it was completely flavorless. My husband let me try it and I was amazed at the lack of flavor. It tasted like plain eggs. The chicken in it was so processed that it didn't stand out at all and had no flavor. The fruit was good that came with it though and the toast was okay. They don't have any of their own jams, just pre-packaged stuff. The biscuits and gravy came out with American singles on it (ewww). The sausage on it was also low quality. The gravy was okay, nothing special. The biscuits themselves were tasty, if they had better jams I might come just for biscuits and jam. If service had been good that might have turned the situation around for us. No one was friendly and our server never checked on us and it took forever to get our checks after we asked for them and there were not a lot of other tables. We did see other patrons with different orders that looked better than what we got. However, how hard is it to make an omelet tasty? There are way too many amazing brunch places in the area for us to give this one another shot unfortunately. read more

This place has been just around the corner and we've been meaning to head here for awhile now - glad we did! We got the small breakfast bites that consisted of one pancake, eggs, and a meat of your choice. And we also got another order of chicken and waffles! With the small breakfast bites plate, we were pretty satisfied actually! The pancakes were delightful, and the bacon was cooked just right. Eggs weren't seasoned, but they do give you salt and pepper so not a big deal at all. All and all, not too bad for the price point. Their chicken and waffles now, loved the breading of the chicken, but it needed just a little bit more seasoning for me. The hot honey was a good touch, and their waffles were perfectly fluffy and crispy on the edges. Pretty good for the most part! Price wise is about on par with other diners. Definitely should try if you're looking for a quick hearty breakfast in Edmond. read more

Frozen potatoes, boxed gravy. The biscuit was good I thought, but my husband didn't like it. I got the Campfire plate. I did not like it. My husband got the hamburger breakfast. The hamburger was big, and tasted pretty good. Coffee was good, tea (not the bottled one) was not. Service was prompt. Ambiance was ok. We aren't planning on coming back. read more

This breakfast spot was mediocre at best when I dined in but after ordering takeout, it was less than that. Dining in, the food wasn't awful but the breakfast sandwiches are soggy and the service was slow even though there was only 2 other tables. I recently ordered a week ago and they had messed up 2 simple breakfast sandwiches. I had the person who took my order repeat himself. But after taking my order home, once again sloppy, soggy sandwich with missing items. It appears that this place is run by disinterested college kids who don't care about customer service or quality. These are absolutely lovely people. They don't have a lot that's vegan, but they do have Impossible Sausage, Impossible Burger and Chik'n Nuggets. I asked them to go check their bread food me to see what was vegan and they have sourdough and a cauliflower bread (which is also gluten free). Ever since this place opened, it caught my eye but even more so when I saw chicken and waffles on the menu. I've been searching for the best c&w and the Hive bumped their c&w to number two spot! The waffle it's self was nice, fluffy, but yet still help up well with the friend chicken on top and the liquid which is big for me. The fried chicken....omw...super light and flaky, moist, flavorful, and just perfect. However, "the icing on top" was the hot honey! The spicy with the sweet and salty...perfection! They also have a great military discount. You've got to check this place out. read more

Everything is a big YES! I tried the Hive while meeting a friend in Edmond. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and despite many restaurants struggling with staff shortages, our server was helpful, present, and on top of everything. I had an Eggs Benedict that was so good, I ate all of it in front of my friend . It was clean-the-plate fantastic. It is the sort of restaurant you could visit with a friend for a long life catch-up session, or with a peer to discuss work. It has that good generic breakfast feel, with not a lot of muss or fuss. This is both good and terrible news, as I don't live in Edmond, but I will need to make the commute to enjoy this meal again. read more

Not too bad for breakfast. I expected the food to be AMAZING since someone said they felt they had the "best chicken and waffles". I didn't realize the chicken was a chicken breast and coated. I always picture "chicken and waffles" w/ either chicken tenders or chicken on the bone. The waffle was very light and not dense. Service was great, service was friendly, and food came out promptly. This place teeters on being a 4 star, but the inconsistency just makes it impossible to go above a 3 for now. We've been here roughly 10 times, though mostly to go, and their service has always been great, so that right now is the best thing about Hive. Their chicken biscuit is my go to. When it's good, it is great and leaves me wanting more. When it's not good, I can't even finish it. The chicken has never been undercooked, but a few times it's been tough/chewy like the chicken had been thawed and refrozen ordered something. When ordering to go, they have forgotten the hot honey or syrup for pancakes around half of the time. Our last order also included a combo plate and I think they misread the order because everything was half of what we usually get which was disappointing since we paid the what we always do. This place is usually packed, so I understand things can happen, but since they're only hitting at around a 50% consistency mark, there's certainly room for improvement. If you decide to come here, make sure to dine in for the best experience. read more

Small place, metal tables and chairs, and when you walk in you don't know if you should just sit somewhere or if you'll be seated, one waitress working on a Sunday, wasn't busy at all, usually a red flag when a brunch spot isn't busy on a Sunday. Ordered my kids apple juice and it's a Tropicana bottle. No cup to pour it in, and $3.25 each, yikes. They don't have a kids menu, their "small bites" menu is what we had to choose from and it's $7.25 for one chicken tender and fries. Wow. She asked if we wanted the toast it comes with? I said yeah she said "well a lot of times the kids don't eat it and we don't want to waste it." At these prices, give me what comes with the meal. Guess what, no toast was given. I ordered chicken and waffle. Chicken tastes like pickles, the breading falls off every time you cut it. The waffle tastes like what you make in a hotel. The menu said the chicken is drizzled with hot honey, it wasn't. I asked for ranch for my chicken and she forgot it. I was almost done with my meal when it finally came. The chicken tender wasn't really a tender, it was like a chicken breast, not something a child can easily pick up and eat. I tried cutting it up for my kids and the breading kept falling off so they didn't care to eat much of it. My husband enjoyed his smoked salmon avocado toast and their potatoes were good but our meal definitely wasn't worth $53. Don't care to return. read more

This is a very nice breakfast location. I went on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. I ordered French toast with a side of diced potatoes. My partner ordered blueberry pancakes and we shared an order of biscuits and gravy. The French toast was good but the pancakes tasted better.
