Ordered a new dishwasher for my elderly parents. Home Depot delivered it and installed it. It didn't come in a box, nor did it have paperwork... and it didn't work. They tried to pass off a returned unit as new. Called for return/replace and got a text with a date/time for that to happen and they didn't show up. Three conversations with customer service... first one promised the delivery people were just running behind and they'd call me when 30 min out. Never happened. 2nd conversation they said not sure what happened- offered to reschedule delivery (omg) 3rd conversation they admitted nobody had even picked up the new unit from the warehouse. THEN who sent me the text with delivery date/time? They said, "The system" and I said... "your SYSTEM is a failure". Nobody will take responsibility. Meanwhile... STILL NO DISHWASHER.... And I am paying their caregivers extra to do dishes! Drove to Home Depot and they said "This is terrible! You need to call our boss "GREG" in the morning and he will fix this. So... this morning I called and Greg said, "Oh, this was an online order. I can't help you with that. Here's another phone number..." Um... Home Depot needs to learn how to actually give customer service. All I experienced was person after person not actually giving customer service and handing responsibility to someone else. Nobody would take responsibility. Not one single person said, "Wow this is bad. Let me fix it" Instead.... Shrugged and walked away. When a store will not step in to help with ANY order, especially online orders, there is no recourse?! That's not customer service. That's disrespectful and unethical. This is the biggest Home Depot I've ever been to! Yes, it's most people's hardware store destination, but I'm usually drawn to their house plants and garden centers. Compared to other locations, this Home Depot has a very large indoor house plant section. This particular visit I was excited to find a smallish tray of African Violets. Total score, because they don't seem to be as common/readily available as in times past. They also have an exceptional selection of pots, both ceramic and plastic. Prices seem to be comparable to other garden centers. As so many other retailers have done instituted, checkout now has the option of self checkout both inside and outside and there's always a someone nearby to help answer any questions. read more

When it comes to appliances, this Home Depot only cares about money in your wallet. Once they manage to take your money, pray that you don't have any issues with your appliances. They will not help you at all. I tried calling the store's customer service line (in regards to a damaged appliance upon delivery), and their response over the phone was "I cannot help you" and didn't bother listening nor helping. It wasn't until I physically went to the store and requested assistance in regards to new appliance. Also, the contractors they are using to deliver appliances are terrible. They will damage and scratch your appliance because all they care about is getting appliances in and out quick as possible. Matt helped her during that visit and spent a few hours attending to her and was incredibly kind and patient and helped her find a new toilet that she hoped her landlord would pay for. Today, I came with her to try again, and that's when we met Bryan and Louie. They were both so kind, respectful, and helpful. They took the time to understand the issue from my last visit with Matt. We decided that she just wanted a cushy seat cover to help the height issue and comfort to our surprise they gave it to her for free. Their generosity and kindness truly made her day (and mine). Here at Home Depot. Today is September 26th. After receiving a phone call today from the COS Greg to pick up my order. I arrived to the Order Pickup area around 5:00pm. I was told the order wasn't ready. The Home Depot associate asked me for my order number which I provided. He then commented with a smirk that there were "72 notes" written on my order alone which was unusual. He then pretends to look around for my order for 20 seconds. Then he says " I'm sorry to tell you this but your order is not ready". I then tell him that I had just spoke to Greg the COS 15 minutes ago stating that the order was ready. He then goes through the antics when I say let me call Greg again. He walks over Greg's desk and answers his phone and laughs. I don't see what's funny. I then asked to speak to a manager. While he calls, I walked behind his register and lo and behold I find my entire order!!!! The incompetence is ridiculous! I had to go behind the register myself and find my own order!!! I can't make this up. The manager of Pick Up department Denise then comes and pretends like she's there to save the day. It was utterly ridiculous. She then sent the worker away and completed the checkout of my order. She then helped me load the items in my car. No real apology. To tell you the truth, I think the whole entire stunt was planned. If I hadn't gone behind the register and found my own order, they would've pretended like it wasn't there. Greg was mysteriously "gone for the day" after speaking to me 15 minutes earlier. The way I was treated by this Home Depot is a shame. I have done many home improvement projects with Home Depot and I never had a problem and for some reason this flooring project has had one problem after another. I get the extra security on the shopping carts to eliminate homeless people stealing them, but it is extremely annoying as a shopper. Try taking a shopping cart from the parking lot to take inside? Worst experience ever. I shop at this location three times a week. Brian, the store manager has the worst customer service skills I have ever experienced. Using profanity which makes him super unprofessional and also ignoring to help and just walking away mumbling insults under his breath. Not the first time ive seen him do this. But never did i think it would happen to me. I asked the employees about him and not one person had anything positive to say about him. By the sounds of it no one in the store agrees with his passive aggressiveness and his unproffesional verbal abusive behavior towards employees and customers. Poor customer service in" self checkout" Today 10 am Tried charcoal to buy charcoal but the bag didn't have a bar code. I asked if they could look it up. Short blonde was going to try , tall blonde stated that the come in two packs or singles for $9.98. Said that this one was a single but not yjr right single. The only option given was to void my entire purchase and walk to the back of the store or not buy it. Neither attempted to look up the right single bar code or call customer service to retrieve another bag with a bar code. For the record all the single bags are mixed. The manager, Brian, is scary. His customer relation skills are awful - and that is a compliment. He yelled at my husband in front of our son, who is on the autistic spectrum. We had just gotten done shopping there. Now my whole family is shaking and upset, especially my son. What's wrong with that guy's disgusting behavior? I'm afraid of shopping there now because of Brian. Cannot chance him upsetting my husband (also on the spectrum) or son again. This is unfortunate, as we tend to shop there six or seven times per month, and everyone else there is amazingly helpful and kind. We especially love that there are several people working there who also seem to be on the spectrum or have what we like to call "diffabilities". We bought a refrigerator from HD. We knew that it was a floor model, but the salesman assured us it was sold as new and had a full factory warranty with it. When we got it home, we had several problems with the unit. When we contacted Samsung for warranty issues, we suddenly find that the warranty expired a month ago. My review is actually for the Home Depot Protection Plan and I will adjust my review accordingly if I'm able to get any assistance. I purchased a Maytag washing machine in Feb. 2021 with a 5 year warranty. It's been fixed 3x for the same thing... with the same repair company only to find out this time around they weren't even repairing the correct piece (guy never took it apart to fully inspect). I will separately review the appliance company but here my complaint is in regards to the extended warranty... Over the last 5 weeks that I have had a non operating washing machine, sending me to the laundromat. I have made countless calls and every single time I speak to the same customer service agent who happens to give me a different name but has the same voice... Grace, Cam, Jewel, etc. Today the agent transferred me to her supervisor... But it was still the same person! These calls average 30 minutes to an hour. Make it make sense! Every year this Home Depot is where we get our Christmas tree. We were delighted to see they had a lot of 5-6 foot trees this year. The staff were wearing masks and they had social distancing stickers on the asphalt by the tree cutting station where you can get an inch taken off the bottom of the trunk to help the tree drink more water from the tree stand and stay fresh and green longer. Everyone was friendly and we were in and out this morning with a beautiful tree in under 10 minutes. Usually we come later in the day and it has tended to be busy so we were glad we came in the morning on an overcast day because it was a quick and successful trip. We've also been inside this Home Depot during the pandemic and we were happy that they carefully monitor capacity. When we went inside for home repair items we had to stand in a socially distanced queue but it moved faster than we expected and it actually made our trip faster because it was easier to move around in the store and get assistance finding what we needed. We ended up finding the kitchen faucet that we were looking for to replace our broken faucet and we are very happy with it. We thought we would not use the dish soap dispenser because we've always just had a bottle on the kitchen countertop but it's actually easy to fill and keeps the counter free of clutter. Our old faucet not only was leaking but the sprayer never worked so it's really nice having a faucet that acts as both a steady stream and a sprayer (there is a toggle switch on the back of the faucet head to switch modes). Overall it seems Home Depot is doing a great job during this time to keep our community safe. Thank you! read more

This review is mostly for Nazy who works in the blinds and flooring department. She is kind, courteous, patient, and knowledgeable about her products. We first "met" her because we were at the Home Depot in La Habra and there was no one to help us in flooring. We called the Anaheim Hills Home Depot because that is our "home" store. Nazy answered our questions about the flooring products over the phone! When my husband needed Cap A Thread stair nosing, she helped him. We ordered a house full of blinds and even though we ended up being there past closing, she was very patient. On previous visit, she helped us pick out the window coverings we needed. It is refreshing to see a devoted employee who gives the best customer service. Home Depot is lucky to have her! I have called the customer service desks many times and never received any help. Never have inventory count correct. I go in to purchase various items (closet door rollers, smoke alarm, deep freezer, etc) and it is never the quantity listed on their website. I called the customer service desk in the morning and asked for the availability of floor baseboards that I wanted to purchase. The lady told me"we are out of baseboards" I said really you are out of all baseboards? Before she could give me an answer she said let me direct you to that department. Delivery from this location is unreliable. We had a confirmed delivery date, then a notice that it was out for delivery, then a notice that the delivery failed, with no reason given. Customer service stated the driver already passed our residence and wouldn't be coming back for a detour, even though they never attempted to deliver in the first place (I waited all day for them).
