Never order online! if you order online, from my experience your order will be incomplete, incorrect, damaged or delayed. The online "store" has different pricing, different discounts, different sales and if the order is delayed their tracking is flat out wrong. Today's fiasco had Home Depot telling me the package had not been picked up, but the service rep explained you need to click on the UPS tracking within Home Depot tracking to get the correct information. Five minutes after Home Depot send me an email telling me the package is delayed and sends me their tracking information, and it is wrong! if you can't get what you want from the store, go to Lowes. read more

I come here a lot, and I spend a lot of money here, but I've never been this frustrated before. Everyone knows Home Depot has trash warped lumber, but this just is the cherry on top. If you have to get lumber here, please, for the sake of God only get pressure-treated, because this place has freaking termites and they don't give a shit. They seriously don't they don't care one bit. They said to me oh, you can come bring it back and exchange it. Exchange it with what more termite Wood? I'm good! Also returning this lumber isn't worth the gas and time I'm gonna spend to get here, what a waste of my time! How can you be a box store that sells large appliances and not remove the old appliance after you deliver the new appliance? I bought a 10.5 cubic refrigerator and they said we can deliver it for $99 but we can't remove your old one...HUH??? I won't be buying anymore appliances from there ever again. We had new windows put in our entire home December 26. A screen was ripped and the window to the front room was cracked. They still haven't replaced it. It looks terrible on the front of the house. "Terrible Service at Home Depot: Wasted Time, Lies, Price Manipulation, and Indifference" Recently, I placed an order through Home Depot's online store and financed it through Affirm. The process seemed straightforward: select items, pay, and pick them up. But in reality, it turned into a complete mess filled with incompetence and deceit. First, the system inexplicably split my order between two different stores instead of sending everything to the store closest to my home. One part of the order was assigned to the store at 7900 N Fm 620, Austin, TX 78726, which is 13 miles (about 30 minutes) from my home, even though there's a much closer Home Depot nearby. This was incredibly inconvenient and made no sense. Second, when I arrived at the Four Points Store, I spent three hours--from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM--trying to figure out what was going on with my order. Four employees stood around, clueless about how to resolve the issue. Finally, a manager showed up, but instead of helping, he made things worse. He outright lied, telling me that the items I ordered were unavailable. But minutes later, the same items were brought out by another employee--only for me to be told I needed to pay for them again at the register! I had already paid in full for my order through Affirm, yet the store decided to cancel my purchase without my authorization. To make matters worse, I discovered that the prices of the items on Home Depot's website had been increased since I placed my order, and the discounts I originally received were no longer available. The discounted items I ordered were canceled, and I was told they couldn't be reinstated. This feels like a deliberate scheme to manipulate prices and make customers pay more. Throughout this ordeal, I experienced lies, indifference, and a complete lack of customer service. What was supposed to be a quick and easy pickup turned into a nightmare that wasted my time, energy, and patience. This is hands down the worst retail experience I've ever had. If Home Depot continues to trust its business to such unprofessional staff and flawed systems, even a retailer of this size could face serious consequences. Incidents like this destroy customer trust, and without drastic changes, it's hard to imagine the company maintaining its reputation. Home Depot urgently needs to fix its internal processes--from logistics and online order management to employee and manager training. I've been coming to this location for years and there have been times I got what I came for and other times they don't carry what I need. At least if I don't find it here I can always go across the highway to Lowe's. One draw for me is their outdoor garden area for plants and garden stuff. I have purchased a fair amount of lumber from this location, and they usually cut it for you for free. On this particular visit, I was looking for a backflow preventer for my outdoor hose faucet. I almost gave up looking for it on the garden hose aisle until one of the employees directed me to the correct aisle for it. At least today I got the one thing I was looking for. read more

This store Is a joke. Came in looking for something that was listed as in stock. To be fair it was a clearance item, but it showed as in stock. Checked where it should be along with where they put clearance items. Couldn't find it. Spent the next half hour looking for an associate that either wasn't already with a customer or wasn't looking at their cell phone or avoiding eye contact entirely. Finally gave up and went to the service desk, where they check online to tell me they have it in stock and it should be the two places I already looked. When I asked if they could check to see where in the store it might be, they said no. This is false. Wow!!! What a day to come to a Home Depot! This locations was decked out! Lots of beautiful color on the front sidewalk, completely inviting, clean and eye catching! This is how you display plants!! Looked like they are doing some kind of set in the inside garden area... maybe for Christmas trees? They are getting ready... there was a Christmas tree cutting station, a stump wall (an area where after they cut your tree you can sign it and they put it up!), an area for families to take pictures and all... very interesting! The sections of plant product was awesome though... especially in cactus and succulents. Really a great selection! Lots of people walking around in orange aprons for help too. Very friendly... I was greeted at least 5 times in the first 10 mins. Really a great experience at this store today! read more

Covid-era review* They have plastic partitions at each check-out station. The associates wear masks and you're asked to do the same. They have curbside pick up. I was returning a tankless water heater that cost over $1000. Since I was by myself, the task of unloading that heavy box from my compact sedan at the curb, parking my car, but somehow not have it stolen while unattended was a daunting task. I pulled up to the curb, put up my hazard lights, found a cart and unloaded it fairly easily. I then had to figure out how to park my car since I was at a "no park" curb at that moment. Thankfully, Pete, a store associate (and possibly the greeter?) was coming out and began telling me I needed to move my car. He said he'd watch my cart while parked. Phew! As I was walking back to the store entrance, he started pushing my cart for me and asked me if it's a return. He pushed it to a cashier at the return section and and got someone to help me. I was so appreciative of that! Everyone who helped me that day was pleasant and helpful. A woman walked me over to show me where tomato cages were tucked away and the guy who processed my return was friendly and quick. I was already in a good mood because of Pete helping me, so everything after was the icing on top. read more

Home Depot installed a self-checkout kiosk in the garden center... except it won't work without cashier assistance for most things sold on the garden center including - get this - dirt. Yep, if you want to self check bags of dirt, you can't. I'm not quite sure which manager thought putting a useless self serve kiosk in would serve, but I'm sure it met some corporate goal about self service everywhere, even though it requires a cashier to actually use. I bought another jug and that nozzle stopped spraying in a week and half which is why I was going to exchange the stuff for a different style of nozzle. These containers of Ortho cost almost $19. Well stocked store, honestly usually never have any issues with things being out of stock. In that regard I give them 5/5 stars. However, usually the staff isn't very good. Which I feel like just being a basic nice and courtesy sales person isn't too hard to ask. For customer service I give them 2/5 stars. Tonight was no different . Girl (Faith) ringing my husband up answered her phone in the middle of the transaction and then got distracted and started messing with her cash register. Opened her register which then voided the entire transaction which had to be re-rung up. While he was being rung up inside I was dealing with our online ordering outside. A guy (Jessie) helped bring the order out and I said my husband would be back out shortly. He helped me load one thing into the bed of truck. Then got bored and put his gloves on and walked inside without a word to me.‍ But the saving grace tonight was a male associate named Kevin, who came outside to see if I needed help after Jessie went inside. He was very nice and I explained that my husband would be out shortly and he didn't have to wait. I told him I was pregnant and not allowed to lift things that are too heavy and that my husband would definitely appreciate the help if he stayed. He stood outside with me for about 7 mins and made small talk until my husband came out. He helped my hubby load everything in the truck before proceeding to clear the entire pro side awning of all the lumber carts and flat carts. And waved goodbye! He saved our visit tonight. Please give Kevin some recognition for being polite, courtesy, and an overall good employee. read more

I had to go through customer service this morning because my new Home Depot card would not work & Sally at customer service is VERY rude. She didn't acknowledge a Good morning or even a simple hello. She didn't provide any information on how I should go about getting a new card. She just stood there scanned my items, punched in some numbers, I informed her I am a veteran so I could obtain my discount and even though it's a Memorial Day still she DIDNT speak. They will dodge your phone calls and lie to you about when the service will be completed. Let me just say, I've been in about once every other day for the last two to three weeks and I will never go anywhere else again! I just bought a new house and did a remodel on it prior to moving in. So, floors were my first big challenge. JESSE in flooring was beyond phenomenal! He was knowledgeable, helpful, polite, and found me exactly what I needed. It ended up being like 3.5 pallets of tile, ha ha. He found them all within the same time frame so the colors matched well. He also followed up with me for delivery and to make sure everything was taken care of. On top of that, due to an idiot contractor (feel free to read the wonderful Texas Best General Contracting review I wrote) half of the tile couldn't even be used! Jesse immediately stepped up, coordinated it getting returned, etc. There was no questions asked and they promptly refunded for the tile returned - BOOM! Phew, now paint. I'm a pretty straight forward person so I had an idea of what I wanted as far as color goes. However, JAY helped me choose was type of finish I would need and took my gigantic order. I pre-ordered and paid ahead of time and she had me just call the morning I needed to pick everything up (it was like $600 worth of paint, haha) so that it was freshly mixed and ready to go. Everything was perfect, not a single can was incorrect. - BOOM! Now for the fun stuff - toilets! They didn't carry the ones I wanted to ordered three toilets online. The cool thing is that SALLY in the customer service area coordinated the paint pick up, tile delivery, and was awesome enough to throw the toilets on that same delivery so that I didn't have to pay extra. Too cool. Anyway, what I'm saying is that everyone in every department I had to deal with were amazing. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and were not just trying to over charge me. Generally speaking, I am satisfied with The Home Depot. This is due in large part to the great customer service at this particular location. If all that you want to do is make purchases of off the shelf items, I would recommend this Home Depot. I also like the way I am treated as a veteran. However, I do not recommend that anyone use any of the large installation services! Several years ago, we were looking for new flooring for our home. We had cash money, and were willing to give The Home Depot a try. Due to several instances of miscommunication on their part, we did not use their services for this project. A year or so later, we purchased a TUFF SHED from The Home Depot. This project went smoothly, and we are satisfied with the shed. In May of this year we had new windows and a patio door installed. The installation went well, however the screen for the patio did not fit. We were okay with waiting for a new screen. A week of so later, we discovered that one of the window screens had the same problem as the patio. The Home Depot sent someone out to check on this. While he was at our home, we discovered that ALL of the screens did not fit. We were assured that the reordering process would be expedited. This was in JUNE. It is now AUGUST, and still no new screens! This is very disappointing! Everything is ALWAYS great when the salesperson is sitting in your home trying to make the sale! What happens AFTERWARDS is an entirely different matter! Now, on to the next project. We ordered new cabinetry for our house in July. We chose the AMERICAN WOODMARK line of cabinetry. Again, during the SALES part of the process, everything was great. We were told that the cabinets would be ready in about six weeks. We received a phone call about two weeks afterwards telling us that the lower portions were ready to be delivered. We found this odd, especially since the upper portions were still on the six week timeline. During the installation process of the lowers, we discovered several WORKMANSHIP problems! Some of the drawers were no properly aligned, and this was very noticeable. Several pieces that should have been glued or nailed/stapled together were lying loosely in the cabinets. Obviously there was no QUALITY CONTROL CHECK performed prior to these cabinets leaving the factory! We received about ten boxes on the first delivery. We had only opened one box when we discovered the problems. During one of several conversations with a HOME DEPOT representative, it was suggested that we open the remaining boxes to check for problems. So BASICALLY, the customer is being asked to do a QUALITY CONTROL CHECK after it was NOT done at the factory. At this point, we don't have cabinets in our bathrooms, and we don't have the use of our kitchen. It looks like we are at the mercy of THE HOME DEPOT and AMERICAN WOODMARK. We have tried to cancel the entire order, and have been told that there is a 20% restocking fee. This in spite of the fact that we have only received a partial order. I was told by a representative at AMERICAN WOODMARK , that THE HOME DEPOT is the ones who get the 20% restocking fee. I have no problem with a restocking fee if the error is mine. Since this is a WORKMANSHIP and QUALITY CONTROL issue, I should not have to pay for their errors. It looks like THE HOME DEPOT is trying still try to get as much money as possible for an error that doesn't belong to the customer. The total approximate cost for both the windows and cabinets is close to $15,000. With the problems that we have had trying to purchase FLOORING, WINDOWS, and CABINETS. I NOT RECOMMEND the use of any of these, or any other projects that costs thousands of dollars. There is a very strong possibility that you will not get your money's worth. read more

When I called LG they said I would have to wait 48 hours just to get a callback from a service Center just to make an appointment to have them come out and look at it. Would give zero stars if I could. The cashier that rang me up, Karen was straight up rude. After ringing everything up, I asked her if they still do military discount. She gave me a snarky look and said "Not if you're using a business card" I told her just because im in my work uniform dosent mean I'm using my business credit card to purchase my items. I said I was on lunch and using my personal card. I gave her my military ID, and she studied it as if it was fake. And kept comparing the photo on the Id to my face. Asked to see my Texas drivers license. I showed it to her, she asks with an annoyed tone "how come the last names don't match" I told her I recently got my last name changed and have the paperwork in my vehicle to prove that. She then rolls her eyes and says she needs to get a manager. Manager comes over, verifies everything and everything else goes off without a hitch. She was pissed that I even asked. Why offer the discount if you make a big ass deal about it when people ask for it. So thanks to Karen, I will NOT step foot in this Home Depot ever again.
