They are so irresponsible . You can't find anybody to help or answer you. They don't know anything about the store when you ask them they say we will find someone to help you and nobody else comes. You have to help yourself and find what you need. And store not clean at all. Truly a disaster, if I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

People seem friendly and helpful Missing stars since two times we had things held at front desk for pickup there were errors or things were missing (which we only discovered when we got home) If you're having anything held, I would recommend checking it in store and avoid a hassle read more

This is the worst Home Depot I have ever been to. I own a business by Yankee stadium and we are renovating our store. We have been in and out of Home Depot daily picking up materials. Yesterday, my manager and I walked there to pick up plywood and a saw. We get there, and there is one saw left on the shelf, so immediately we grab it. Then, we have to take a taxi back to my store (which is literally a block and a half away from Home Depot) and they charge us 30$. On top of the 300 I just spent on plywood for my store. THEN, we get back to the store and get ready to use the saw, and it's used!!! It's missing a blade and there is sawdust all over it. So immediately we call them to see if there is anything that they can do being that it was the last one on the shelf and this nasty nasty woman in customer service says "just return it" and hangs up. Are you f*ing kidding me?!?!?! So after walking there and then taking a 30'dollar cab back, my manager had to walk all the way back again to deal with this issue. He gets there, and look at that!! A whole new shelf of saws. THEY WERE TRYING TO GET RID OF THE USED ONE. You've got to be kidding me!! Oh that was just day one. Now TODAY, we go BACK to this horrid place to pick up MORE plywood that we had ordered online, that was poorly listed I must add. We get there and it takes the guy at least 10 minutes to go find it in the back room. When he finally comes out, you won't believe this! It's the wrong plywood!!!!! So now we have to return the plywood and spend another almost 200$ on the correct one (which they did not have the right amount of). Not to mention they didn't even apologize for the mistake. The staff here is just very nasty and dumb at that!! You would think they would say sorry or at least offer a discount being that we were there for over an hour dealing with their pure stupidity! Went to rent a pick-up truck. Spencer (I think is his name) from Tool Rental is an awesome supervisor. He was working hard in the morning, dealing with other employees he was clearly supervising as they either had trouble dealing with customers or phones or with returns that were not well cleaned, etc. But he still had awareness and courtesy to notice and acknowledge me. Then, he got me on the road fast and with clear directions...ie, he actually took the time to look me in the eye and make sure I understood everything. Communication that is often lacking in large stores. It was an effortless rental. But, as this was a day rental, the next day I released I was going to be late, and I called and got Spencer....no problem. When i go there in the late evening, he was still working. "Don't you ever get to go home," I ventured. "Getting there," he said. I admired his energy to handle various tasks simultaneously still, just as he had fresh yesterday morning. Anyway, it occurred to me that it's people like this that the politicians are referring to when they say that America has moved to and shall continue to be a service industry economy. I hope the management of Home Depot sufficiently recognizes this; because, frankly, it's people like this man who make make patrons like me want to be a returning costumer, more than any deal, or the darn convoluted parking the architects dreamed up for the Exterior Street mall. read more

This is the second time I've been to Home Depot at this location and found that either their inventory system is incorrect or someone isn't stocking the aisles with the products that are supposed to be there. Either way I should not be able to visit Home Depot's store website, check for in stock items at said store, see that there are 35 products in stock and when I get to the store store find out that there are 0 products in stock. It's frustrating, a waste of money commuting there, a waste of time and now a person has to figure out an option B. Should option B be Lowe's? I was in the store with my phone looking at the 35 items in stock and all the associate could say was that the product was here? Is their system not in real time? I'm thinking online purchases should be done from now on and maybe the common everyday item I will go directly to the store. Other than that, I can't be bothered! read more

Do not order from them! We placed an order on a Monday and were told we'd receive a call Tuesday to schedule delivery for Wednesday. We asked if we needed to be home for delivery and they said no. On Wednesday, when I had not received a call, I called to check in, and was on hold for about 30-45 minutes. I was told they had attempted delivery on Tuesday, but could not leave the items since we were not home. (They also did not inform us of the issue until I called them.) We rescheduled delivery for Saturday and were told we would receive a call that morning with a specific window, (they deliver between 6am-8pm). I called on Saturday to check in and, after another 45 minutes on hold, was told they could not give me a more specific time than that 14 hour window, but that they would call an hour before their arrival so we could be home, as they only deliver curbside. We ordered some pretty heavy items, which is why we choose to pay for delivery. We said we would rather cancel the order. They said we couldn't, because the items were already en route, and just to refuse delivery and call later to cancel the items. I called today, and had been on hold for 50 minutes when someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up. I called back. This time, someone answered pretty quickly, within five minutes. I told her I needed to return some items I had ordered. She put me on hold and I have now been on hold for another 40 minutes, and am still waiting for her to pick up the call again. So much time wasted to end up having to return items they wouldn't deliver to our apartment. read more

Worst ever. Nothing in stock. Employees have the worst attitude of any employees in any retail environment I've ever been in. And this is the Bronx, which is really setting the bar low to begin with. No pride in their work, no one seems to know anything, but a board that was literally cut the wrong size was sold to me and of course I didn't find out until I got home that it was the wrong size. And they have the audacity to market it as one size without even measuring it before slapping a sales sticker on it. Hello? This is a lumber store! You don't sell a 12 inch wide board that's actually 11 inches wide! Everyone here seems to be on drugs and/or have anger management issues. And then people complain that they can't find a job in this neighborhood and they are underserved! Hello? You wonder why? This is the reason. I also got hit on once by an extremely creepy male manager who I think was of Indian origin- had some kind of accent that I can only assume was Indian (didn't get his name, I can only go by physical description). He seems to think that this was a "sexual favors in exchange for light bulbs" routine! I think someone didn't give him the memo that he doesn't live in a Third World country anymore or that women in Western countries don't like to be treated like that. Please fire the managers and staff at once and replace them with knowledgeable people who actually know what they're doing and who don't hit on you and make you feel unsafe and preyed upon in a retail environment. Oh, and could you actually stock the store with products for once? Just a tiny little request. Everything is always out of stock unless you need weed eater, which they seem to have no shortage of - never mind that this is the Bronx and that most people who live in this neighborhood don't even have a yard to begin with. Or it's stocked with things that you don't need at all like two months out of date Christmas ornaments. They always seem to have tons of stuff that no one needs! But the basic stuff? Hello, do you even sell wood screws? Once I asked them if I could look at their drawer pulls beyond the basics that are provided that only seem to be used by maintenance crews in the projects, and they acted like I was asking for some exotic rare spice and it was the middle ages or something. So I requested that they stock other styles of drawer pulls just like the ones at 23rd St. and they did some La-dee-dah, "She think she's the queen of England" routine like I was asking for some really out there thing. They told me I had to go to 23rd St. to get better drawer pulls. This place is run like a hardware store-- for people who are incarcerated. For some reason they have limited stock and they don't have the same stock as the 23rd St. Or 59th street ones, which are much better? Why is that? Hello, Home Depot? I know you seem to think this neighborhood consists of nothing but broke families of 12 that carry their whole family around in a minivan to buy the cheapest big box surplus stuff they can and all they want is greige adhesive linoleum tile? (I've never seen so much of the color greige in my entire life) But some of us are people who actually like to purchase drawer pulls in more variety than just one or two styles. we should get the exact same products the 23rd St. store gets.
