This Home Depot is very helpful and full of workers with a lot of knowledge. MARVIN IS THE MAN!! He's very helpful every time I go in there I look for him. Tells me exactly what I need for my projects and why, very wise man and very willing to help and go beyond his job duties. With him advise I was able to install my water softeners with easy.

Paint counter, wood slat replacements, wood filler, screws, sealer and paint being color matched now!

The pieces anchoring my mail box to the post had rotted so I was able to take the old pieces in and staff helped me find the right size lumber, they cut it for me, as well as paint matched so I can repaint the post which has been several years and needs some help (so wood filler as well as sealer was recommended). I am not a diy person so having such great staff made this a really great hardware store experience.

11 days ago spent $1000 on new grill products along with approximately 5 dozen new perennial plants for my mom's yard. Planted all 5 dozen plants. 8 days later, 9 of the 5 dozen plants died...all the same variety, all from the same carton of plants. So less than 10 plants out of the 60. The rest of the plants are fine. Took a picture of the dead plants to the store - store manager insisted that the picture AND receipt was not enough - I had to bring in the dead plants. I asked him if he was sure - YES was the answer. I returned to the store an hour later after digging up the dead plants just to have the customer service rep tell me that I was right and a different manager said I did not have to bring the dead flowers back to receive the refund. I also helped the clerk throw the dead flowers (that I brought back) straight in the trash can - store manager didn't even examine what I returned. I did receive a refund. TOTAL WASTE of my time and energy. Complete slap in the face.

Decided Anna whim to repaint our dining room. Went and got about 2 dozen paint chips to figure out what color will go with the existing wallpaper. Went back today to get paint. Staff behind the paint counter was helpful and made sure I got what I needed. Behr has new weird cans and they had to explain how the spout worked. So this weekend it is panting time.

Knowledgeable, helpful staff. Good selection in the plant, tree and flower area. Love the military discount.

Russell was very helpful. I was looking at gardening boots, but they didn't have my size. Russell called their other store and was able to offer some options. He was engaging and friendly. The store offers an array of grills, power tools, paints and general hardware supplies. The shelves are remarkably well organized and neat. Many shelves were empty as I assume they are preparing for spring inventory. Many items were on clearance including Yetis so there are some great deals. In the entry alcove is a fascinating history of the hardware store's evolution. The history dates back to at least 1889 when the store was located at 110 West Main Street in Carmel. The store has been owned by four families start with O. W. Nutt prior to 1889. Steve White bought the store in 1984 and built the current location on Rangeline Road in 1989. I love that someone took the time to capture the history. There's plenty of parking in their private lot. You can only enter or exit going north in Rangeline, but the roundabouts make going in the right direction easy.

I recently did so, expecting to save time and gain convenience, but was sorely disappointed. I placed an order online for a 5-gallon, food-grade pail, lid and lid opener. The instructions that accompanied my order confirmation were to enter the store and follow the signs for in-store pick-up. I did so, and was led from the front door, straight-through to the back of the store, and then to the furthest corner of the store from where I had entered. Surely, I had passed all of the items ordered during this trek. The store is massive, and if you are not familiar with the layout, online ordering would seem like a good, time-saving option, but that turned out to not be the case. Not to mention (as I mention), the "convenience fee" that I was charged to do so. This might be a good option for larger orders, but for the 3 item order that I placed, I would not suggest this.

The best value is always on their clearance items or sale items because all of their other prices are just ok. They have a rebate program that you can get money back on your purchases and they advertise the after rebate prices everywhere so when you buy your item mentally you're thinking about the lower price. The rough part is being disciplined enough to follow through with the rebate process.

I never thought I'd buy a Weber grill, as I didn't understand why they seemed so expensive. After an Ace salesman showed me some differences and how they stocked all of the parts I may need down the road, I purchased one. That was a bit over a year ago, and I haven't had even the slightest "buyers remorse". Sure, it was a lot more than one of the other brands at a big box store, but wow does it do a great job. The heat is so even, and all of the controls just feel sturdy. On top of that most of the internals are made from stainless steel and should last a LONG time. Ace is a great asset to western Noblesville. As this town has grown, we've gotten all of the big box stores, but with those comes traffic and customer service that is mediocre at best. It's definitely nice to have a locally owned store where I can go pick up the things I need without having to drive across town.

Alyson and Norinder - I may have spelled that wrong - were wonderful. The other Home Depots I have been to said that they didn't carry the type of French doors that I wanted. Clearly that wasn't the case. Also, we were looking for a screen door that had a certain kind of screen. Castleton didn't have it, but Alyson called another Home Depot - they had it and she had to put it behind the desk, so we could go pick it up. I had been to two other Home Depots whose employees didn't offer to do that, so I was especially impressed with that level of customer service. Also, the phone tree is very short and you can actually talk to a person very quickly. The people working at the front customer service desk are always very helpful too. Employees also seem to like to be there. That generally starts at the top, so it must be a well-managed location.
