Saturday afternoon and my husband and I are at Home Depot for spray paint & building supplies. One would think that they would bring in more employees on a Saturday but there's only one guy worker the paint counter so I have to wait forever to get into the spray paint cage. Also there are only 2 cashiers available aside from self check out!! There's lines everywhere and to make matters worse, right before it was finally our turn, an employee jumps in with her snacks she's purchasing for her break. This is the worst. Not to mention that when we buy heavy building materials from other Home Depot locations, the staff steps in to help load the vehicle. No one in sight here! read more

I came in to get a new key made only to find out the key doesn't work. So I come back the following day to get a key made only for me to wait 30 mins for help and walk out with no key and no way to get inside my house. I was told to bring back the original key and I'd have to pay for an additional key because I didnt keep my reciept for a $6 key that is supposed to work. Definitely not impressed read more

My best experience by far in the lumber department robert has only been there a few months from the Gardena store.he help me even though he had to help other customer's he always came back to me help me pick out lumber load number and bandit for me. He made me feel like I can get the job done , there's not enough employees like him. And I noticed how he acted towards his employees that were a little slow, he treated them with respect and kindness and patience. Richard in the Tool Rental department was a tool himself! So rude & worse customer service ever! I rented a detailed cleaner that was leaking and took it back. Richard asked me in an accusatory tone if I connected all the parts right like it was MY fault. I told him yes and when he tested it out it was leaking! I said I wasted my solution and want to know if I can get another bottle.. he said he doesn't know the return policy and didn't even attempt to find out if I could.. he was just going to leave it at that.. I had to tell him to find out what the policy is if he doesn't know.. he had a stank attitude and called someone to find out. Look Richard, if you don't want to work at Home Depot don't take it out on the customers. I definitely do not recommend this establishment if you want to redo your kitchen. One of the worst experiences that we have had. To begin with, we went in with a budget and was told by the "designer" , Leticia, that she could do it within our budget. We had to pay $50 before getting started so she could have someone come out to get measurements. They did and she told us that it would cost $3,000 more. We agreed because she told us that everything was included. (Later she asked for more money, but her manager took care of it.) We told her that we needed as much cabinet space and that we were going to install an over the stove microwave. Once the cabinets were installed, we noticed that she ordered one cabinet to store trash cans. We told her that we needed storage cabinets. Nothing was done to rectify this. So now we have wasted space. Also, the cabinet above the microwave is too short and we have to use a step stool to reach the microwave. read more

Same lumber in the same spot (all junk) for 3 damn days. I've came back 3 separate times and its the same damn junk. They need to restock and seem to not give a shit. As a contractor I'm appalled at the way the pro desk is ran. They do not acknowledge or attempt to bring an obvious contractor to their desk and proceed to check them out when all they're doing is just standing around bullshiting with product reps and that's plain out unprofessional secondly they have carts all over the contractors side of the parking lot and no one can ever park so your forced to load your truck 4 rows over next to homeowner and do it yourself peoples cars which is a potential disaster in itself. Terrible costumer service. My horror story goes like this: I purchased a piece of hardware to install a new stove but it wasn't the correct size (pipe fitting) and when I went back I didn't know that you need to tag anything you bring back to the store. So, once in the store I pulled the fitting out of my pocket to compare the size with the other fittings. Next thing I know, there are a couple of managers/security guards taking the fittings and escorting me out of the store with no explanation at all. I don't care about a $5 dollar piece of hardware, but the humiliation and the feeling of being discriminated will never be forgotten. I am an American citizen, a good person, but that day I was treated like a criminal for no reason. I'm a peaceful person and did not try to argue with them but at least I would like to make it known that they discriminate based on how you look (at least that's the impression I received). Needless to say, I don't shop at Home Depot anymore. There is a huge difference in how Lowe's treat their customers. Customer service we have been receiving at our last three checkouts within a month have been horrible. The cashiers made my wife and I feel like we are thieves by pulling open factory sealed items we were purchasing and telling us its policy to make sure its the correct item in the box and laughing about it in a sarcastic, rude way and not even seal the box back properly. Then another worker had brought us two containers we wanted to purchase stacked in each other and they were trying to pull it apart saying that they have to make sure its the same container but didnt compare the two, rather they just looked to see if anything was in it. We were very offended. My wife and I refuse to give them any more business after being treated that way. No apology just sheer rudeness and laughter from them!!! I liked this Home Depot but on my last two occasions I've had to go to Member Services to make a payment and on both of those occasions I had Emily assist me. In case anyone needs to know a description in case there is another Emily working there, she is the Emily with a huge ugly birth mark on half of her face making her look so ugly outside and then when she opens her mouth you find out she's ugly inside too! Both times she has been rude and unprofessional. My first visit I asked her for help on an issue and she never said "hi, how can I help you". She just stared at me and rolled her eyes just to turn around and ask her coworker to help me with my issue because she has never done it before. She never had the courtesy to say, "excuse me ma'am I'll be right back". She just turns around and ignores you not giving you the status of what she's doing or that she needs to get help. Today I came in again and low and behold she's the one at member services who is available. I walk up and let her know I need to make a payment. Again she doesn't greet me and huffs as if she is annoyed with the fact that her job requires assisting customers. Again she has to ask for help. If Emily is not trained to provide customer service by now and seems to ask for help both times I've been there, maybe Emily is not right for this position. To top it off she and another coworker named Michael and two other females there were just carrying on with their personal conversation about their personal lives as I waited for her to get the help she needed to help her help me. If I go back I know if I need member services again and she's the only available one I will just go elsewhere. read more

If you're looking for great customer service, staff with an upbeat attitude, or even just decent human beings, then this place isn't where you needa be at. 90% of the staff either hate their job, hate their life, or hate everyone. There was only a handful of people that were actually helpful. Some of the most memorable encounters I've had was with the old racist white lady that worked at the register, the dude who helped me out but looked like he hated every second of it, the female manager who tried finessing me off almost a hundred dollars because i wanted to buy something in bulk since there was a deal online but she decided to split my transaction so i'd pay more, or just about the rest of the staff who don't know what they're doing, have a horrible attitude, or just don't care about the customers. Don't get me wrong some of the people here were nice, but i kid you not it was literally a hand full. As in both hands full. This company either needs to get some new staff and managers. We rented a power washer from this home depot. We took it home and it worked for about an hour and then broke down. We would start it up and it would work for about 20 minutes and then die. After a few hours of trying to keep the thing started we took the washer back. Unfortunately, the guy that rented the washer to us was no longer around. The guy that was there at the time we returned the power washer must have previously been a hermit because he barely said a word. When he wanted us to sign for the exchanged power washer he just grunted and pointed. Very bizarre! Not sure how he even got hired since his vocabulary only consisted of a handful of words. There are plenty of people looking for work, why not hire someone who wants to be there. Needless to say, we will not be going to this Home Depot again! read more

She was unwilling to help and initially stated that she was the only who could help me a washer and dryer which she never did when I came back from cs front desk Michael was helping my mom only because they paged her to help us and he was acting like I didn't exist when my mom told him I was the one paying. Anyways I explained the whole story to Luis and he made me feel better after I spent 1,400 and felt upset about the whole situation. Messed up 2 of my orders. Promised me that I'll get my carpet in a few days but then I get a call from a girl who can't speak English-actually I think it was the phone, breaking up, I just said ok and decided to go in. Found out she was trying to tell me the carpet I ordered is in back order for a month. She got defensive and told me I said ok. My carpet at home was already ripped out. I can't imagine living on concrete floors for a month. So whether I said ok on the phone I need to cancel or order something else. No one could help me at the time. So I cancelled the carpet but I kept the wood floor order because that was in stock. So on Monday I waited all day and no one showed up. I called but no one knew anything about the wood floor. I tried again and I ordered 2 rug pieces. Bad mistake. Received only 1 and it was terrible. It shed all over the house and it smelled horrible. I went to the customer service counter. Returned the stinky rug and asked them to cancel the 2nd one that never showed up. After waiting for 15 minutes they told me that if I don't receive the 2nd one in 3 days to come back. A week later when I returned to say I did not receive the rug they couldn't refund me because I ordered them online even if they never sent the second one. They assured me that I will be refunded on my next billing cycle. I waited 2 months and no refund. So I went back to the store asked them for the phone number so I can handle it myself but they wouldn't give me the number telling me that I can't have that department's phone number. I can only handle it through them, where I am supposed to pick up. After 6 months later customer service gave me a store gift card. read more

Went in just now as the store was closing and my dad asked if we could please go find a part because it was an emergency and the manager responded rudely with "I don't know man!" My father told him once again it was an emergency and the manager's reply was "Hurry up man!" My dad and I proceeded to rush through the aisles. As we left the manager suddenly changed his tone and asked if we needed help. I could've laughed in his face. I completely understand the store was closing however you'd think as MANAGER he could've still provided quality customer service. I understand he'd probably rather be home at that time but I'm sure my dad would rather be home as well instead of driving around from store to store to find the right toilet flange but my dad was called late at night to fix a toilet because it's his job just like it is the manager's job to help a customer. read more

I went to this store about 4 times in the last week for a project and i swear 80% of the staff are useless! I was in the painting section and there was 2 girls and 2 guys behind the counter only one person noticed me standing at the counter and offered help, the other 3 were drawing something in the back laughing and having the time of their life, i heard a guy repeatedly ask for them to open up the spray paints and finally this young loud blond goes to open it for him. I just went back again today to get more paint and there was 3 guys hanging out in the painting area bumping trap music, not even the radio edit so it played all the N words and F words and they were laughing as it played and of course lagged it to help me and there was no other customers besides me! Anyway, I am now remodeling my kitchen and needed counter tops, The have poor selection so I went so Lowes, At lowes, I was blown away by the customer service and assistance I received, I bought my counter tops there, I needed a piece that measures 6 ft. and they did not have it as they ran out, guess what, the manager, gave me a 10 ft. piece at the price of the 6 ft one. He ended up giving us the wrong hose for the power washer and we got home and couldn't even use it! We took it back and the same employee was there and didn't even apologize. I called this Home Depot to see if they had some items I needed because I was remodeling some rooms in my home. Other home depots near me were out of stock of what I needed, but upon calling this location, they had everything. I needed a little more help and notcied a worker and proceeded to ask for help. This man was beyond rude and kept telling me some of the items I needed weren't in stock. I HAD JUST CALLED TWO HOURS PRIOR AND THEY HAD IT! He then began to attempt to change the subject and comment about how he admired my dress. I felt very uncomfortable and asked for a manager. He pressed on asking IF I WAS MARRIED! HAD CHILDREN AND IF FREQUENT THIS LOCATION! I felt so uneasy and extremely uncomfortable and demanded a manger. This angered him and he said, 'Their are other Home Depots other than this one! Call and check them if you don't want my help.' I left BOTH FULL CARTS in that aisle and walked away as he muffled disrespectfully to me, 'you're just going to leave this sht here?' As I was walking out, a cashier, who'd previously seen me wandering about with two carts asked if I found what I haad needed..I pointed at the male worker who had just given me the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAD EVER RECIEVED and she didn't need to ask any further questions..she immediately apologized saying, 'i am sorry if he didn't help you,' as if she too knew what a piece of scum he is! I overheard her conversation with another cashier and i think the mans name was Kizo..I demanded a number for the corporate office and I am still waiting for a call back. I don't go to this location often, even though it's the closest to my home, but every time i go there, there service and store is not good. I can never find the lumber carts that i need and they seem to have a very limited stock of any type of cart that are just spread out in the parking lot. There is never an area for the carts and you have to spend 10 min finding a cart. But the worse is my last experience when we asked a lady for help who was sitting at her desk in the door department. She came to the isle with us to answer our questions but after we asked the second question, she stops mid sentence and says "hold on, let me call (insert name of another employee) because I am off soon" and just walks off at a fast pace. She was only with us for less than a minute then says this. We waited in the isle for 15 min to see if anyone would come but no one came or was paged. It's not like we had made a special request to get something from a top shelf or from the back. We just had a few easy questions of what doors they had available for us to look at. read more

We came to this home depot to buy 4 Christmas trees. When we 1st got there picked one right off the bat, a full medium size noble tree. We had three more to go! All there trees were thrown all over the place had to literally dig in the piles to look for trees ugh was a task...this worker Cristian did help us out. He actually took the best tree we found wen we 1st got there to the front where these other two workers were to cut and net up. We found one more tree out of the piles then decided to leave due to no more good ones to choose frm. Wen we got to the front to grab our trees the 1st tree was gone. The 2 workers that were working that part gave our tree away! THEY DID NOT CHECK THE TAGS to verify that others picking up there trees had the right tree! Cristian that was still helping us came bac to us and said did u guys see ur tree right here?? We were like really we were with u. He asks the two unprofessional coworkers of his and they were like naw we didn't see no tree! Shrugging there shoulders like duh who cares...we asked them and told them it was there fault they didn't check the tags! The Hispanic guy with a huge attitude said well I didn't do it...sometimes that happens! Really?? U kidding me?? U R Not doing ur job jerk! We didn't have time for all the Bull we got a refund and as we were leaving him and the other coworker a black guy were standing there giggling like lil girls...anyways DO NOT COME HERE 4 CHRISTMAS TREES!!
