It all worked out at the end, but being ableist to communicate with the delivery driver would be nice. I appreciate the selection between new, out of box new, pre-owned and reconditioned. I come in with a budget and an idea of what appliance needs I have and it's easy to find what fits within your constraints. I've never received an appliance that hasn't worked and their delivery has always been within the estimated windows. I've shopped around at other national, local and independent retailers and B&B has always had the best prices for the same or similar item at competing stores with delivery and takeaway of the old. I won't say that I shop at B&B exclusively because I always do my research and shop around, but I've yet to NOT to purchase from B&B after comparing four or five appliance retailers. Take that for what it is, a ringing endorsement for you to not waste time waiting for a deal on Black Friday, Memorial Day or Fourth of july and make your way to B&B for your next appliance purchase.

I wanted a quality install and was pretty particular about details like transitions to tile, baseboards, that I wanted to pull out old carpet, I was ordering the materials, etc. Paul and Daniel knew exactly what I was referring to regarding smooth transitions and immediately said "no problem" after others gave me a whole song and dance. They also provided a professional, accurate, and detailed estimate while clearly telling me what might cost more once they get in there (e.g. leveling the floor). Other companies either gave me really rough verbal estimates or overly specific (& wrong) estimates. Communication with the guys is fantastic. The work was done with the kind of craftsmanship I expected from my meticulous grandpa (that is.. they know what they're doing and do it properly!) This is a copy of my email to Home Depot Customer Service: I purchased a gas stove, a refrigerator, a washer & dryer, and a dishwasher from Home Depot in 2012. All of the appliances were priced in the upper level of the applicable appliance category. I paid $90 for an extended warranty for the refrigerator, a Whirlpool Gold, for which the total cost at that time was about $2,600.. The refrigerator is, according to the third party repairman from Authorized Appliance Repair of Peoria AZ, "not repairable." However, Home Depot's third party warranty administrator, Asurion LLC, has decided that it is repairable and sent replacement parts to the appliance repair company which said it was not repairable. I have been without a refrigerator for about 6 weeks. I am obviously not a happy camper. This prompted me to research appliance warranties. I do not like what I have found. Once you understand the relationship of a "Third Party Administrator" to Home Depot, you realize that the Third Party Administrator, Asurion LLC in this case, is in fact incentivized to keep the cost of repairs or replacements as low as possible. Asurion LLC has no reason to care about customer satisfaction. They could care less. Asurion LLC's net profit is their number one concern, as it should be. That's just good business. I get it. But Home Depot's reputation, their moral & ethical obligations, and Home Depot's future appliance sales, are the victims of Asurion LLC's natural business obsession with their own bottom line. Eventually this will cause irreparable harm to Home Depot's reputation and Home Depot's appliance sales in the future. I am just one dissatisfied Home Depot customer. Basically like a grain of sand on a beach. But if you google Home Depot appliance warranties....you will probably not see more than one star from all respondents. That is only because there is no selection for zero stars. Please understand that I am a long-time, loyal Home Depot customer. But that ends now. I am sure that I will purchase other products from Home Depot in the future. However, none of those purchases will be an appliance as long as they shuffle off their legal, moral, and ethical obligations to a third party that could care less about me. Not that Home Depot cares about my future appliance purchases because, obviously, they do not. But this is to inform Home Depot Corporate decision makers that, as long as Home Depot relies on Third Party Administrators to relieve Home Depot of their moral, ethical, and legal obligations to stand behind their products, that I will never purchase another appliance, or any other product relying on third party warranty administrators, from Home Depot. Ever. Why? Here's Why. The basics of my research, which I hope Home Depot Customer Services forwards to a decision maker in the Home Depot corporate hierarchy. I expect that will not happen, but rest assured that I will do my best to make sure that high level corporate officers do see this information. What they do with it is up to them. This is a corporate level decision that could ultimately seriously harm Home Depot's future appliance sales. Before today, I have posted my opinion to multiple social media sites and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I have not included the following information in those opinions and complaints but plan to do so ASAP. In the information cut/pasted & edited below, Home Depot falls under #2 "Third Party Administration" and this is the root cause of my frustrations. Home Depot effectively washes it's hands of any problems with the appliances it sells. Once the appliance is sold..It's "Too Bad So Sad It's Not Our Problem Call the Warranty Company You are Basically Out of Luck & Thanks for Calling." All inquiries are met with the same reply that Home Depot Customer Service gave me, i.e., (paraphrased) "it's not our problem...talk to the warranty company." Legally, Home Depot is correct. However, morally & ethically they could not be more incorrect. By taking this approach, Home Depot thereby loses all credibility & trust from all every day consumers such as myself and many others. What could possibly be more important than that? Home Depot does not care about my problem. I have been without a refrigerator for over a month. Home Depot sold me multiple appliances and now Home Depot pretends that they have no legal, ethical, or moral responsibility to back up the products they sold to me. Home Depot has successfully legally separated themselves from any obligation to back the products they sell. However, it is not possible to ethically or morally separate Home Depot from the obligation to support every product they sell. Ever watch the movie "The Rain Makers?" My bet is that the same cost/benefit actuarial analysis that you see in the movie is going on here with the Home Depot warranty situation. At the very least, Home Depot lacks "good faith" in dealing with consumers such as myself. The only diff read more

I think this store is in need of a big overhaul when it comes to staffing concerns. I was here the other afternoon and most of the people here just flat out ignored me. Like I didn't even exist as a customer. I asked someone who worked there who did greet me eventually and why the service was so lousy and he said flat-out well they are all related to one another (family, church, etc) and the only reason they work there is because someone in the family, church, biz, got them the job. That explains enough to me! please don't shop here! Take my word for it. It is seriously time to let some of these miserable people go and hire some new people to take over running the place because it is so run-down and beat-up and honestly I could go to any other home depot or lowes and be impressed by that. When every single people has a sad billygoat face that works there, and ever single person does the least amount of work possible to help you as a customer, and doesn't care... It is time to go take your money elsewhere. Trust me. Don't shop here. There is a store on Cactus and Cavecreek Rd that is way better than this dump. read more

Today, an employee approached my elderly mother in an aisle and asked her to take a survey about water treatment. However, when she explained that she was actually in need of assistance in finding a faucet piece, the gentleman assured her that he would fetch someone to help her. Unfortunately, he left her waiting for fifteen minutes without any assistance. As a result of this poor experience, my mother made the decision to leave and seek help at another store that prioritizes customer service over surveys. It's disheartening considering that I am a regular customer at this store, spending around $1,000 every month on plants and other items. However, due to the lack of care my mother received, I am now inclined to take my business elsewhere. While I understand that my contribution may seem insignificant to Home Depot, it is still my hard-earned money, and I believe it would be better spent at a store that values and respects its customers. read more

Not a great place for paint or wood stain. Tried to get a stain for a table matched. They tried a few Minwax colors, but nothing worked. They don't match colors for oil based stains aside from what they have on their shelves, apparently. Went back a few days later to get a 5 gallon pail of paint matched to the stucco on our house. Luckily we had a brick with the old paint color on it, so I figured it would be pretty easy for them to get the color right. Nope, not even close. Way to dark, and they couldn't salvage the pail. We walked away with nothing but wasted time. Despite this, the staff at the paint desk is pretty friendly. Just wish they were able to match colors accurately. Ended up going to a Sherwin Williams up on Bell and got the color matched very closely, no problems. read more

Horrible experience renting tools at this Home Depot. The manager in the tool rental department there seems like she's just sooooo unhappy working there or seems like she was forced to go work. It isn't from just going there once but twice I've experience bad customer service. The first time was renting some tools and the second while returning them. I'm sure never coming here. Its sad to see that she was giving this client a real bad time because of the color of his skin! Ignorance!!! I felt terribly bad that I suggested the client to go to enterprise or another place to rent a truck. This manager will remember me by the personal who rented the "pool pump". This is my second home because things are always breaking and needing repair on my house. It is a satisfying feeling when you can do it yourself. I would give them 3.1/2 however they don't allow that. They have almost anything you need. Finding an associate that is available to answer questions is no problem. Finding an associate that knows what they are talking about is hit and miss. Some are literally experts in the field, others are just guessing. Good selection on everything. All lights and fans and most of the store is made in china that breaks after 1 year. I would venture a guess that if Home Depot and walmart closed, china would go bankrupt. Service is good and friendly, sometimes it's easy other times it's difficult to find an associate for help. However when Michael returned he claims he told us our water heater needed replacing, which he DID NOT And I told him so. Then he proceeded to quote us $300 to a replace a valve to our water heater . The interesting thing Is the valve isn't even there now. We've decided to go another route with the repair but upon Michael leaving we went from a minor leak to a major leak. I have been a home owner for 10 years and have never experienced this. we feel taken advantage of and all he cancelling our membership and no longer using their services.

This is for FLOOR AND DECOR BUSINESS ONLY NOT THIS STORE SPECIFICALLY…read more I purchased Luxe Dune tile based partly on Floor & Decor's official online photos, which showed it as a light cream-beige. The actual tile is significantly darker and much more taupe. Because of that difference, the grout color I selected looked completely wrong once installed, and I now have to spend an additional $1,200 to have the grout professionally stained. I contacted Floor & Decor and provided comparison photos, receipts, and documentation. Instead of offering any meaningful resolution, they repeatedly focused on manufacturing tolerances, batch variation, and the fact that the tile was installed. My complaint was never that the tile was defective. It was that their own product photography did not reasonably represent the color of the product. They eventually acknowledged that they understood the issue was the online images, but still denied any assistance and said their decision was final. No reimbursement, store credit, or goodwill adjustment was offered. I understand that screens and lighting can affect color slightly, but this was not a subtle difference. Customers should not assume the product photos on their website are an accurate representation of the actual color.

For being a smaller hardware store, I am always amazed that they end up having exactly what I am…read morelooking for. More times than not, I will travel valleywide and lose hope with the thought of "I'll swing by Ace and see if they have it" and every time, this far they have it. The staff are always incredibly helpful and generally assist even when I throw a "it's okay, I appreciate it" out there. For instance, on this trip, the gentleman directed me, I mentioned I took a peek and didn't see if and it was okay that I would cut my loss. He headed over and verified and found what I must have passed several times over. As far as the product? It was would have been offered elsewhere had they had it and at about the same price. In the past, I have been very fortunate to be looking for items that are on superduper clearance. Perhaps one of these days, I'll make this my first stop and spare days wasted with travel and unnecessary purchases that I am unlikely to ever return just based on the distance alone. Fortunately, Paul's is just a few mins walking distance up the street for me. Now, it's time to lock my number in, since I'll be bisiting more often.

When I first walked in, it was about 5 seconds (tops) before Jonathan said hello and asked if I…read moreneeded help. Although this was my first time here and I wanted to explore, I was picking up something for work so no time to lollygag. So I rambled off the two items I needed, gave him the two SKUs that Brian had given me over the phone, and voila. Easy peasy. I guess I should've mentioned that I called on the phone to check stock on the items I wanted. Brian answered. He physically checked the shelves because the numbers in the system showed quantities really close to the amount I needed. He wanted to put eyes on the product in case any had sold since system updated. He confirmed everything was in stock, but said he was leaving in less than 10 mins. That's how I got to deal with Jonathan in person. As I got rung up at the counter, Drew (he was at the neighboring cash register) asked about one of my co-workers. Aww, isn't it great when workers remember their customers? All in all, great customer service from Brian & Jonathan. Bonus for Drew remembering my co-worker. Store is clean and well-stocked. Although their online inventory shows certain items as "in stock", I would call the store if the quantities are pretty close to what you need.
