If you value your time and your sanity, do not go here. I came in to resolve a simple issue with a DoorDash return, and instead of helping, the management acted as a complete instigator. They trapped me in a "blame loop" with DoorDash and refused to provide a receipt or even basic answers. They insisted I take it up with DoorDash, even after I sincerely explained that DoorDash had already denied the refund without a reason and I needed the store's help to figure out the issue. ​When I naturally got frustrated by their incompetence, the main manager didn't try to solve the problem; instead, she tried to escalate it. She started tone-policing me, telling me to "lower my voice" just to make it look like I was the aggressor, when they were the ones mistreating me. They even called people from the back to "gang up" on me, creating an incredibly awkward and hostile atmosphere. ​Between the gaslighting, the untrained cashiers, and the broken pickup boxes, this store is a total mess. Management is the biggest problem here; they would rather pick a fight with a customer than do their jobs. Save yourself the headache and go to a different location. ​However, I would like to thank, from the bottom of my heart, the employees who go the extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service. Very impressive gents, and hoping management will acknowledge your job well done. You made my son's construction idea, which scares me considerably, far more relaxing. I own a large contracting company and have spent decades shopping at Home Depot. Last week, one of my technicians purchased about $100 worth of plumbing items that we didn't end up using. I returned to the store just one week later to return them -- unopened and in perfect condition. To my shock, the front-end manager told me the return value would be one cent for the entire order. I honestly thought it was a joke. When I asked for clarification, she raised her voice and bluntly said, "Take it or leave it." No explanation, no professionalism, no respect. I then asked to speak with the store manager. After explaining the situation, he claimed the items were on clearance. So I walked him to the exact aisle where those same items are still fully stocked -- at the original price -- not marked as clearance. Still, he refused to budge. Neither the front-end manager nor the store manager made the slightest effort to explain their decision, offer a reasonable solution, or even express a hint of courtesy. Just a cold, dismissive attitude like my business didn't matter at all. Let me be clear -- this was hands down the worst customer service experience I've had at Home Depot in over 30 years. I have came to this locations so many times and each time it has been a great experience! The last time I went was on Black Friday to check out their sale on appliances. I needed a new refrigerator and Tony was able to help me and answer any questions I had. He was super nice and friendly and very knowledgeable. The next day I decided that I did want the refrigerator and went back to Home Depot. Tony was there and processed my order. We also bonded over our matching Brooks tennis shoes! Once everything was completed, I was using my Home Depot credit card but it kept declining. I called customer service and found out that my credit limit had to be increased. Customer service was able to increase my limit and resolve it while I was in the store. The earliest delivery date was set for Jan. 30, 2021 and it was worth the wait! The 2 delivery men were gentle with the refrigerator. At one point I thought it wasn't going to fit through my door but they were able to remove the bottom drawers and were able to fit it through the door. They removed my previous refrigerator and install the new one so quickly! Shout out to Mahlet who was able to locate Tony's name for me. Mahlet went over and beyond to help me and I appreciate that! I always have a positive experience in person and over the phone. This is located across the street from the Springfield Mall. This location is super busy so be prepared to sit in a traffic jam! I came to this location to buy some indoor house plants, which they had a pretty good selection. I went to the self-checkout with eight of the $5.98 plants and one other medium size plant. At the time, there was only one other person in this area and the store member. I walked up to the self-check machine to start scanning my items when I noticed the store member walked close to where I was and took a couple steps forward to me close to my cart. In this moment, I felt like the store member was making sure I was stealing - house plants of all things! I became very uncomfortable with his behavior towards myself but not the other customers who had more things than I did. After scanning all my items, I went to pay, but the card reader had an error, which resolved after I followed the directions on the reader. When I finishing up, I looked up to notice that the store member was right behind me, which really made me even more uncomfortable and startled me. I have never experienced anything like this at any of the Home Depot's that I have been to over the years. After this experience, I will not be returning to one, and I would recommend that folks don't visit this location either. read more

Do not get your appliances at Home Depot. They send out appliances that have been packed damaged and do not want to exchange them or help you out. I received a dishwasher that had no damage to the outside box or the packaging and the door and inside were bent and they insisted I had to go through GE the manufacturer. GE service inspected it and found it had been damaged inside and the whole unit needs to be replaced. I'll never shop at Home Depot again. You pay good money and they don't want to do the right thing. read more

I recently bought a dishwasher, including installation from Home Depot (Springfield #4617 on Frontier Drive). The service we received was abysmal, and if 0 stars was an option, I would've picked that instead. My Recommendation, if you need an appliance and installation, go to a more professional organization like LOWES or ACE HARDWARE. So we waited more than 2 weeks for the delivery to come (1 week later than written on the appliance at the store). When they arrived last week, we were the 14th stop and pretty obvious the crew didn't' want to do it. After several excuses, including the hoses Home Depot selected (but I paid for) were too short; I was surprised the didn't have other hoses already on the truck. When I called Home Depot, I was told I had to come to and get the "right" hoses (which I never selected in the first place). After dealing with the rude customer service representative and paying an additional $53, I had hoses in hand to give the plumber Home Depot sent to complete the installation. The plumbers did a decent job but did try to get me to pay an additional $400 for a pipe/value that "could leak" in the future. They also refused to haul away the "trash" (packaging) from the new appliance leaving it beyond for me despite purchasing "haul away" option. I will never buy an appliance or installation from Home Depot again; suggest you do the same if you want to avoid stress and frustration after paying ~ them $1000 (with additional charges along the way). I went to Home Depot in January 2024 looking for wood for closet shelves. The ready-made shelves did not come in the size we wanted, so I headed to the lumber department. After spending quite a bit of time finding boards in plain wood that could be cut to the size we wanted, an Associate asked if I needed help. I told him what we wanted and what I had selected. He explained I would need to find an Associate who was wearing an apron to cut the wood for me. But first, he told me the wood I selected would not be the best choice. Although he was getting off work he took the time to lead me to the end of that aisle to wood that was the correct width, could be cut to the desired length, was a sturdier wood, and was painted white. Looked much better, a better quality, and the cost was quite a bit lower. I wish I had gotten his name because I would like to thank him. He then asked Quami (not sure if the spelling is correct), who was wearing an apron, to help me complete the order. Quami was outstanding, very patient, as he cut several pieces to the sizes we want. When I asked for a ticket to take to checkout he had me take a photo of the barcode on the shelves, said to just show that, and give the number of each board I was purchasing to the checkout clerk. Both men from the lumber department, and the checkout clerk were courteous, patient, and the help provided was very much appreciated. read more

They used two 2x4 pine wood pieces to cover the joints and explained this to me as this is "frame support" Door (inside the house) has three different materials: fiberglass, vinyl plastic and pine wood - how to stain this door? Three different surface will have different color! Terrible! When I placed the order, I asked the door skin to match my oak hardwood in the house, so the salesman put "pro-oak design" with no explanation. See the picture is that fiberglass has oak wood texture? It's light yellow color stripped surface, not even close looks like a oak wood texture. Terrible! Aluminum threshold goes inside! Door was ordered to be stained - it comes with multiple dirty places. For that I was recommended by Home Depot to clean up with alcohol. Terrible! I'm speechless to describe my fillings about this door! See yourself. See the pictures. All Home Depot cares - " you signed the agreement...., manufacture followed the specification...." I did not accept this door but Home Depot refused to take it back because they do not accept custom order returns. This is not about return! This is about the product. Their manufacturer made a shit and Home Depot sold it to me for almost $4,000 of course charged 100% upfront and still trying to insist that I signed the agreement. This Home Depot is excellent, it's not as big as some of the other Home Depot's, I grew up next to the one in Aspen Hill and that's probably the biggest one around, however this one has everything you need. The customer service here is pretty good, not everybody their has the answer you may be looking for, but if they don't have the answer, they look for another employee who does. The garden department here is really good too, again it's a smaller Home Depot, but they have plenty of beautiful flowers and it is Christmas Tree season, and they have plenty of great Christmas Trees. read more

Beware- The Home Depot's contractor damaged my hardwood floor when they delivered a refrigerator. This happened nearly four months ago and Home Depot has done nothing to make their contractor resolve my family's claim for damage. The Home Depot claims to care about their customers, but when something goes wrong they refuse to take action. I won't make the mistake of trusting them to do the right thing again. You would think the Home Depot would require their contractors to treat their customers with dignity and respect, but this is simply not the case. Never in a million years would I have thought that the Home Depot would allow my family to be treated this way, but sadly, it's true. I'm disappointed in you Home Depot. Your Customer Carr lone says they will engage on my family's behalf, then they fail to do so - time and time again. This Home Depot has completely disappointed me. I spent over 10k getting a bathroom renovated with them. I used parts from their store and also used them for labor. They may contract the labor to USA plumbing but I still hold them equally responsible. While the bathroom was being renovated, it was delayed two times and we never saw the project manager. In fact we had to ask him to come out because we never met him. While the bathroom looks amazing it was irritating having the project delayed. Fast forward a couple of weeks and the bathtub side glue edging is coming off and now I haven't been able to use the same bathroom which I spent over 10k on for over a week. Incredibly frustrated with Home Depot and USA plumbing and will NOT be going through with them to repair my future bathrooms. read more

But the problem is with their delivery contractor and whoever manages their warehouse. They claimed that their driver arrived at my home to make a delivery but he never actually showed up. I prepaid for delivery, install, and hauling away the old appliances. None of that got done. When you call the customer service phone line, they agents on the line take forever to answer simple questions, and they are rude. Overall this is a standard Home Depot with wide selection, helpful staff, reasonable return policies and a large gardening section. This Home Depot is very conveniently located, so it can be crazy on the weekends and parking can be difficult However, I have never had any long lines - even to make a return Staff is helpful for finding items as well as advice The store is large with lots of options for different products. Home Depot would net provide the missing parts and required me to return the set, and re-order. I returned the set and it was picked up on 30 May. Mr. Terry Ground (millwork department) & Mr. Patrick Mushi (lumber department), helped us to construct our 7 shelves in the store 1 hour before to close. Mr. Jeff & Mr. Russell helped us to secure everything (including hammering extra wire brads) even after store closed in the parking lot.
