I went in to make a return. It was less than 180 days and they would not return it! I had a receipt and my return was denied! I asked if I could speak to somebody and they said no that they would not be able to help me with anything and I asked if there was a customer service line I could call and they said no I could only go on their website. Really? I have supported this company for years and a simple return could not be made. Now that I'm on my rant, their customer service is terrible! I'm always searching for someone to help me!!! So I came into the store not knowing anything about what I was going to do to my yard. I had some ideas but not exactly sure what I needed. I just knew I wanted the weeds to go away and a nice front yard. A nice employee named Andrew approached me because I looked lost and I described what I wanted in my front yard. He immediately showed me what I needed he told me how to put the weed barrier down and put it into the ground first then to lay my bricks out in the middle as I wanted them and then to put the beautiful red mulch I wanted in my yard on top on the rest evenly and rake it out. My yard now looks gorgeous the weed barrier stopped the weeds from returning and my yard looks just how I pictured it. Thank you so much Andrew. read more

I'm a Handyman with lots of work here in the Temecula Valley and Murrieta - Menifee And Perris or whatever the clients are I know my HD stores and there's a reason to shop there and not the silver & blue store which is always short staffed and pretty downright rude I'm at a HD two to three times a day for material or tools (or both) My favorite store is on the 79 Temecula Parkway That store has some of the friendliest workers, from the parking lot helpers to the Managers. I usually need to check out at the Pro Desk Where you can find Lisa or Ari working hard Also, is Dan, who is awesome and always has helpful ideas and positive uplifting conversation Dan's son also works at the front line at the store and he is always eager to help with whatever is needed (following his dads footsteps to be the best) These people create a wonderful work environment and shopping experience Thank you all ! read more

After asking customer service for help in the plumbing dept, Thomas in Electrical department helped us out because no one else ever showed up. He walked over with a smile and said "what can I do to help you with" it's been a few years since I've heard that from any associate at Home Depot. My husband and I came across an associate named Glen and when we asked for help, he just kept walking away from us and told us he can't help. Then an awkward silence happened and then he offered to call someone else to help, but he looked so annoyed! I was just blown away by how awful he acted. Lol! More places like this Home Depot store in Temecula I see less sales associates but more kiosks which means less customer service. I go in to spend several hundred dollars to get no assistance or worse unenthusiastic service from someone who later I see taking to another associate assisting no one. Same experience at Lowe's today too. Companies are wondering why there is more and more online shopping and less foot traffic? On 6/3/23 I had some fencing delivered (Murrieta store). The product delivered looked like it had been sitting in the desert for about 10-years. There was no way it was remotely going to match what was already ordered and put up. I contacted the online customer service and explained the problem. They said they would credit the full amount and send out a new order (Lake Elsinore store) at a discounted price on 6/6/23. The order came out on that date and the product was acceptable. That's when the problems started. I looked at my credit card account and there were two charges of $561.98. I ended up contacting the online customer service and explained the problem. They said it could take 10 days for everything to get corrected. Well it did not. I ended up contacting the online customer service back on 6/19/23. They spent about 15-20 minutes trying to get it corrected and when done they said if not corrected in a couple of days to contact the Murrieta store manager. On 6/24/23 the issue still had not been corrected so I contacted the Assistant Store Manager at the Murrieta store. After about 10 minutes explaining the problem, she said it was fixed and I would be credited back 561.98 less the delivery charge (WOW). I hope after a few days I will finally get my credit due, or I will have to go through this again. By the way, I never did get that discounted price on the second order. I was not even credited back for the delivery charge when I dealt with the Assistant Store Manager at the Murrieta store. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE (NOT). read more

Customer service is horrible. Every time I call to inquire about a product, they put me on hold for 30 minutes and forgot about me. Last time they had me on hold for over ONE hour when I wanted to be transferred to doors and windows department regarding my window order. Then, the Department put me on hold for an additional 45 minutes and forgot about me. The person in the department finally came to the phone and overcharged me $1500 on my order status because they made a mistake and wrote the measurements wrong. They returned the money but it delayed my order and I ended up waiting six months for a window to be installed. I no longer do business at this location. These people are incompetent. read more

I've used drain-o in the past to no avail so decided to opt for something stronger this go around. Normally I don't write reviews often but I needed to write this!!!! Today I was at Home Depot Temecula store #1028. I was buying some pvc pipes and a young man named Chris was super helpful. He helped me find the correct size pipe and helped me cut it. 5 min later, I realized I needed another cut and he caught me at the end of the aisle and asked me if I need any more help even tho he was out of his uniform and on his 15 min break!!! Will be going to a different Home Depot when possible. Staff are rude and not willing to help. On 5/19 around 4pm My mom needed 8 bags of bark, 6 bags of soil, 4 bags of 50lb sand and 4 2x4's and when asked for a staff member to help her load it on the cart she was told by a female employee in the garden department "your order isn't big enough, help is only provided for bigger orders." Unfortunately, this order was big and for a customer who has a serious BACK injury! A man and his wife overheard the staff member and asked my mom if they were refusing to help her and my mom said yes she said my order is not big enough (mind you my mom ended up loading everything onto her cart ALONE and was just asking for help loading it into her truck bed) and the man said "it shouldn't matter how big your order is, if you need help they should offer to help you especially if you have an injury." Rightfully so! So another staff member just says she will talk to the staff member that said that and she would get someone to help. SO as my mom is at the truck and the staff member was helping her load she was letting him know how she wanted it (i.e. heaviest stuff towards the tail gate and heaviest stuff on the bottom) so no bags would rip when we were unloading it, the staff member begins to say "bags only tear if pulled in a tearing motion!" Very rudely, and newsflash soil bags tear so freaking easy especially when they already have holes genius!! He continues to just throw the bags in the truck so my mom had to stop him and say "look I'm the customer and if I'm asking you to help me you should be helping me do it the way I am asking and not be rude about it." He reluctantly finished helping her and walked away with not even saying thank you. Home Depot, your staff needs a refreshed course in being kind to customers as that's why you are in business. This was my first rude experience at this Home Depot. Linda was my cashier and I felt super attacked . I was buying spray paint and she asked me for my ID. I gave her my passport because i recently cracked my drivers license and she said she would not accept it. She then proceeded to ask me for my broken ID and said that it had my birthdate . Which was confusing because a broken ID is an invalid source of identity and my passport also had my birthdate ... She proceeded to be very passive aggressive during my checkout . Consider yourselves lucky I have to select ANY star for your store. Ordered an AC unit on line , paid and requested curbside pickup. Sat at your UNATTENDED curbside section for about 30 minutes, (along with many other people who apparently been waiting a Loooooooooong time as they were napping in their vehicles) so I decided to go in the store. After searching for someone to help with my on line purchase, I was informed that even though it stated on the website the TEMECULA, CA store had it available, no one could find it, and doing such business on the website was a 50/50 shot as to if any item purchased thru the website would actually be available at the store. It's pretty pathetic to think you can't trust a system within a company your size to actually have an item listed on your website as available, then drive over an hour to pick it up to be told, "sorry, we can't find it?". I want to like you HD, but when I can drive down the street, walk into Lowe's, find an available associate within 30 seconds of walking thru the door, and find the exact item on their shelf, and walk out with assistance loading it, I'm pretty sure I'm a loyal Lowe's customer from now on. I offered to pay for it or leave our name but he says not necessary. We came back to cluster f*ck no paint ready and no idea what i was talking about. Then the new guy says he can have ready in 5 minutes if I show him the color. 20 min later and he hadn't even started it so we got in line to pay for outlet covers and shower curtain rings but left without what we came for 2x. I have my go to aisles where I am familiar with products that I buy regularly. However, there are many times I'm looking for that one item that I need help and an associate (used to be called Homers) always comes across friendly and helpful. I have been a big shopper of Home Depot as long as I can remember. I've bought st least 8-10 major appliances and have always seemed to live near one. I buy a significant amount of goods for my home. I recently purchased a new Samsung side by side refrigerator. It was defective out of the box on delivery, and leaking water. It wasn't the installation. It was broken up inside. They would NOT exchange it. They made ME call Samsung and schedule a repair. I spent at the least 5 hours, countless calls, getting disconnected, ( I'm always very kind) to no avail. I waited 2 weeks before my new refrigerator was repaired. I will never again buy a major appliance from them. My friend told me the same thing happened to her back east. If there was a negative star I would highlight that. I'm not giving a horrible ranking for the Home Depot products . This ranking is completely for the customer service from the store level all the way to the corporate office customer service. I had an absolutely horrible service with my install of wood floors. I started this process early this year approx March. The service just finish about 90% October . If I go back and list all the detail that were completely wrong, unprofessional, rude but most of all just didn't care . First start was going into the store to set up service and a follow up to my inquiry. No call back ! I waited a week, them I called left a message . Them got another person and said the measure team would be calling to set up a time . Two weeks went by then a set up call. Measure company came out did what they needed and said I would hear back in 48-72 hours . I didn't ! In fact a week went by. I actually had to call the store and and speak to the very first person I meet . That person said " hmmmm something is wrong , we don't have the measurements " . Let me get back with you . Did she ? No ! Why I said to myself ! Doesn't anyone want my money ? Well now another week has gone by and I called someone at the front desk or customer service department . She said let's check ? Well apparently the measure people lost the measurements . So a week later another person came out. The man that cam out was very nice . When he was finished he handed me his tablet to sign . I said,"oh this is different I didn't sign anything last time ". He then says to me , "Are you sure it was Home Depot" ? So as we move on a week later I receive a call from the offices of Home Depot back east I want to say Virginia , honestly I don't remember . She called to give me pricing on the flooring that I had already picked out . I'm fact the flooring was the same that I had installed in late 2020. With great success ! The person on the phone said you can't use that same color because it can't be used on the stairs ! Major surprise to me ! As well as very upsetting ! So I said well I have to now go back and look. The next day I received another call from the same office however a different person. Now the service started to get better. This lovely lady was calling to give me a quote! As we spoke I told her about having to change the color from downstairs. Well she was lovely she got me a color for the stairs and also for the remaining floors upstairs in which she said they would be very close in color . So we moved forward . Two weeks went by before JW flooring was able to give me a date for install . Well during the wait the product was delivered in boxes as well as clear wrapping . When the molding came it was broken . I called the temecula office and spoke to the customer service manager via text . She said it would be resent in a few days . A few days went by and it was delivered , broken again! I texted again and said it's broken and marked up . The customer service manager wrote me a text back and said, " just to let you know the molding comes in to be painted , but I'll send it again". Somehow the blame was on me ! A few days later the install started ! There were two men and they were fast and worked very hard . On the second day of the install the lead gentleman said to me two steps are the wrong color ! In fact those steps were the exact color of the floor that the original person said I couldn't get! So he called the office and asked them to resend another two steps . So after three days the work was done with two steps different colors . The two new steps were delivered to temecula HD for me to pick up . I went and they were the same wrong color and I actually got to meet in person the customer service manager that I had been texting . She explained that she would order it again but because it's on a large slab it's might come out the same and if it does we might have to rip it all up! At this point I'm so worn out , upset and really just wanted it all to stop! Well the two came in that did matched the current color which remember is different than the floor because they told me that color was not available ! We hired Home Depot on Jan 11th for a closet build for an entire room. They did the design and said it'll take 2 weeks for custom product to come in then they'll schedule to start. They had someone measure, color match, everything you need to do the build. The install was scheduled for 2/26/2024. When the installers arrived they got everything off the truck and called their boss after coming in and said they were not able to do the project due to the wood panel being on wall. The panel on the wall was there the 3 times the design employee came to create the design, she even took pictures of it. We color matched the color of that wall to the closet color because it'll be showing in parts. They were fully aware of the wall panel. I talked to the installers boss and she asked do I want to recreate the design with out using that wall. I told he no that's not what I paid I paid for an entire room to be built into a closet and not was what I wanted. They told me to wait for a manager to reach out on what to do next and about a refund. I was told by another employee that it would be a 35% restocking fee because the pieces were custom and they can't send them back. I let them know that they refused service and not me so by the contract I'm not responsible. A manger reached out 2 days later and said how sorry he was and he found out they can do the wall they just have to find the studs in the wall. He sent someone out 2weeks later to find the studs. He then had to send someone for a second time to do measurements all over again. They still did not have them right. I told him to just give me a refund this is unprofessional and I have no product. The manager escalated it to the supervisor he sends some one out an week later and says he sorry he guarantees I'll be satisfied with the finished product and he'll have them do it all within one day. The day came which was 03/13/2024 and the workers he sent did not have the tools needed, they had to leave multiple times during the job to get things from Home Depot. They did less than half the work and left. I told the manager what's going on it was suppose to be finished he kept making promises and how he's sorry he's trying to get it all done and they'll be back the next day. I told him multiples times before they came and when they didn't finish if they do not have everything do not start the job. The next day 03/14/2024 they come and spend hours putting up more things and then the installer says the pieces needed to complete doesn't fit because it was measured wrong and the supervisor told him prior about the pieces that don't fit but he doesn't know why he did not relay the message to us. We've called him multiple times since, he hasn't answered. They went over the due date of installing, they did not give a finished product, we're missing multiple things,they were unprofessional. They literally tried to give us anything to hold us off months until they reorder what they messed up on when the closet was a custom build so all there measurements should've been accurate to begin with if it had to be shipped and made for my specific closet but it wasn't. It's been over 2 months since hiring them and they exceeded the date. They've been to my home over 5 times about the closet and still haven't installed it fully. When checking out I informed the clerk that I am Navy Vet and have a discount card she states that she cannot give me the discount without the app on my phone. I did not have my phone with me and she gave me a hard time. She was totally disrespectful and could not care less. Those of us who served our country have earned respect without having to be treated badly when we ask for the discount we are owed. DO NOT BUY Assurion Extended Insurance or LG REFRIGERATOR FROM HOME DEPOT We purchased an LG refrigerator in December, 2017 which died in July, 2020 under warranty. We also bought the extended service from Home Depot which is from Assurrion. Assurion and LG cannot get a repairman to my home for 10 days before their 1st visit. Multiple calls to Home Depot and Assurion fail to improve the situation. I asked for a supervisor from Assurion multiple times and after sitting on hold for extended periods of time I spoke with multiple supervisors who could do nothing. I asked if I could arrange for service and reimbursed, and this reasonable request continued to be denied, thus leaving us without a refrigerator for at least 10 days from the time I placed an order for repair. I greatly appreciate our local Home Depot. The floor staff and cashiers are friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. I had a less than stellar experience ordering a custom screen door for my house. The door was ordered in May 2023, final install was January 2024. I was originally given an 8 week turnaround time from order to install. The first time my door showed up damaged, I was undermined by the Customer Order Specialist as she squinted at the door to find the imperfection and try to convince me it could not be easily seen so we could accept the order.. I expressed that I could see plainly with both eyes open there was a crease in the mesh tech screen in which we paid over 2k for. Aside from that situation and other delays, I am happy with our door. The management staff ensured I was kept in constant communication with updates and our installer was also courteous and professional. We receive compliments on our door, I am satisfied with our purchase. read more
