Just got done paying. We went to Jimmy (older Asian guy) he is a store associate (as stated in name tag). He was rude. No hello or friendly acknowledgment. We asked him a question about how we can pay for a form of payment -- he ignored us. We gave him the form of payment. We wanted to pay with quarters , we wanted to get rid of our quarters. The item we bought was $6.42 cents. We count and handed him the change. But he was rude. Didn't say thank you or anything. We said thank you to him for helping us. He ignored us. Then I said thank you again nicely and he said "okay" and slammed his register. Very rude. Will be speaking with manager on duty. read more

I needed a 34 in square cuts on some plywood that I needed for a project and had them cut 36 in for me so I could cut down for maybe a better finish at 34. But the cuts the guy made for me were perfect at 36 in square that it turned out to be better length anyways. They were exactly 36 square and fit double on top of each other seamlessly. Great job! I've been a customer here since the 90's and a lot has changed. But the one thing that hasn't is their large assortment of decorative seasonal items, whether it's the large Skelton's and life size ugly witches on Halloween, lilies and flowers in Easter, but this time about the Christmas items. Am always searching for lights on the tree or the roof, to the ornaments, and life size balloon statues. But my favorite thing to shop for is the Christmas tree. My parents are gone now; but being a kid in that household with the pine smell was my favorite part of that holiday, even more than hearing the sappy Christmas songs like the Barking Dogs doing Jingle Bells and Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer (j/K). They had at least three types of pine trees including Noble Fir but I prefer the bushier stronger smelling Douglas Fir. There is one other type of tree that I once bought - forgot the name. It rarely dropped needles but the smell was weak. They are priced by height, and I always choose with one unbundled with string because they are usually fresher. I shake it, and pick one as symmetrical as possible and drop the tree to see how much needles drop. There are low long carts to haul your tree to the register and offer to cut the bottom to size and also allow for better absorption of water. Going on a week day afternoon 10 days before Christmas is my usual strategy. Borrowing a friends truck, we hauled it into the living room and decorated immediately adding lots of water daily and placed away from any heater vents. Check out was easy. 4 days after Christmas and tree still looks and smells great. I am conscious about sustainability issues, but a fresh Christmas tree is one time I will violate that over a fake tree. But I always look for a recycler to return my tree after the holidays. read more

Really great experience here. Very well organized with a good selection, but what really stood out was the service. I had a pretty difficult problem to solve and I'm not very knowledgeable whatsoever about tools or home repair, I ended up talking to three different employees before one of them (Paris) spent a good 20 minutes or more coming up with different solutions to my problem. He was so patient and knowledgeable and ran through different ways I could solve my problem and was very pleasant and confident. I will definitely come back to this location. This review is for Mike P! This past weekend, I went to Home Depot because I was in need of replacing my front door. I had no idea what to do or where to begin so I headed to the door section. Mike P helps answer all my questions and explain everything to me. I had no idea there were different types of doors - example a door could be left or right inswing or outswing. He explained it all to me and helped me pick out the right door I needed. He also let me know I needed to get paint for the door and even recommended different types of locks for the door. Who knew you had to paint a door I thought it came painted! For someone like me who is not well verse in home improvement projects this really meant the world to me. He helped me put in an order for all the items I needed to make sure that when the Handyman I hired came to do the work he could just come in easily pick up the door from Customer Service. Never had too bad of an experience at this location. Associates are friendly and although they might not always know where things are, they really do put in the effort to help out in whatever way they can. Extra points to the staff member who helped grab a decorative balloon to let my kid play with, since my toddler had been eyeing a nearby red balloon near the returns section. Most recently, I bought some mulch and paving gravel and found that the pricing was very affordable. However, I found out the hard way that the pricing is affordable since it requires multiple bags of mulch and gravel in order to cover a yard, but all in all I was satisfied that there was stock of what I needed and was certainly glad that none of the bags of material broke when loading into my car. The selection is decent, the online ordering has made it much easier to pick up items, and the return process is very smooth (I returned an online order without any hiccups to this store). Would certainly recommend for any DIY-er or someone looking for home project supplies. read more

Wow if I knew having a boyfriend would be so handy, I might have gotten one sooner. I came to Home Depot with my boyfriend since there were some updates he suggested and volunteered to do around my place. Just for the record, I did not force him to do the work, he insisted. Home Depot has all the major appliances and variations for home upgrades. I feel like compared to Lowes, Home Depot is more affordable, but Lowes is nicer. We just went to each section and he would ask me what I liked or wanted... and I would just look at it like, they all look the same. I might have a few parameters to narrow it down and he would help me pick. Nice experiment of our joint decision making process. What surprised me upon check out is that they just had self check out. I actually wanted to ring up with a cashier to ask them something, but staff here was not as engaging as other Home Depots I have been to. One Pro Tip I learned from the boyfriend is that Home Depot has recycling areas. For instance it was handy that we took out my old light bulbs to go find replacements, and then recycle the old ones while we were already there. The recycling area for this location is a bit hidden but it's behind the customer service area. In general I find that I prefer to go to Lowes. It's cleaner, friendlier service and my allergies don't activate as badly. It's just a nicer customer experience for me. But I guess if I need to save money I can send my boyfriend to Home Depot for me. Just kidding. read more

I had been meaning to write this Home Depot a 5 star review because I come here often and have always been met with the most helpful, friendly employees. However, today's (Sunday 8/13/2023 in the Returns Department) experience tainted it all. RETURNS DEPARTMENT REVIEW: I was trying to do a return and in the process of explaining to the cashier (Rebeca) that I had the receipt for everything except for two items. However, I didn't get very far when suddenly the returns manager looks at me and says, "someone said they saw you grab those from one of the aisles so we won't be returning anything for you". WHAT. I was so shocked, confused, upset... stunned speechless. I literally walked through their door and into the return line. If you know this store's layout the return line is right by the entrance door. I asked them to look at the camera to prove that I didn't come from any aisle, and he said, "I don't have access to the cameras right now". WTF? You are just going to accuse an innocent customer of something based on another person's word without proof? I even asked the people standing in the return line in front of me, "didn't you see me walk in and stand behind you the whole time?" and they nodded! Also, I was doing several returns. I had receipts for all but two of the items (2 doorknobs). The cashier Rebeca did not even bother to look at the receipts and said, "I can't process any returns for you since someone said they saw you in the aisles". She barely glanced at the receipts and just brushed me off like I was a criminal. Actually her actions and attitude were the worst part of this experience because she made me feel so small and worthless and she never even apologized. First of all, if someone was going to steal something from Home Depot, it sure wasn't going to be two doorknobs. And if I wanted to steal them I would've walked right out the exit door with them. Why would I be standing in a return line with a bunch of other items (with receipts - that you refused to even look at to verify!!) As all this was happening, the manager comes back and says, "I apologize, that person said it was someone else they saw" (?!?!?!?). Then walks away. Doesn't even have the courage to come up to me. You slander someone's character like this and THIS is your apology? An "oops my bad" kind of apology?! I am SO stunned and speechless at this point - I can't believe they accused an innocent person of stealing, then act like it's a harmless mistake. I could barely process what all just happened. Rebeca robotically proceeds with the returns without an ounce of remorse or feeling apologetic. Rebeca, you don't belong in customer service. I cannot believe this is how they treat their customers. They simply took one person's word and didn't even think that that person could possibly be mistaken. If they had even tried to listen to anything I had to say in the beginning maybe they could've stepped back and think "hmm yea something doesn't add up". But no - they are so quick to accuse and jump to conclusions without facts and only through hearsay. read more

I still remember accompanying my grandpa to The Home Depot almost every weekend as a kid. I guess I got my love for tools from him. This chain is huge, affordable, and has the most locations, with at least 2 stores per city, along with the most helpful online site. Both the site, and app will show you what aisle and what section in the aisle, to find everything that you do a search for. And it will be specific to the closest store, if you allow for your location to be used. Or you can ask one of the many helpful employees, who all know where to find everything. In my experience service at Home Depot shouldn't be expected. This Home Depot maybe the exception! Not only were there employees who were visible and present in the isle where I was looking for a part ( plumbing ) but no less than 3 different employees approached me and asked "can I help you". I don't remember the last time I was provided unsolicited service at a Home Depot let alone seen a an employee available to ask a question in the isle I was looking for something...usually I have to flag someone down or wander the warehouse ( for an hour ) until some miraculously appears who then says, "let me get someone to help you". I guess I won the Home Depot lottery that day. I was honestly shocked. My response to the person "I'm good", which was not true but I was mostly shocked. When I finally figured out and could put into words my question...I turned around and one of the people who asked if they could help me...was there to help and answered my question! I got what I need, paid via self service checkout and left! The best Home Depot experience of my lifetime From my experience this is not common! I'm a jack of many trades, except shopping at Home Depot. When I arrived I was ask how I can be helped looking for a small lightbulb for a freezer. I was told isle 14 then was sent on my merry way. Anxiety started to kick in once I arrived and saw so so many bulbs. I thought I found the match, good thing I opened it, it was 3x the size. Thank god I can into the most knowledgeable and friendly man, which he saw me lost, ended a conversation with a colleague and asked if I needed help. I said, I'm so sorry to interrupt your conversation, he said "No worries, I've been talking to her for 25 years" this made me laugh, because I thought I'm he was going to say "minutes". I explained my frustration of never being able to fine anything and immediately his vibe calmed me down because he knew what he was talking about! Won the lottery! He helped me get an even better bulb that's LED and can save my grandparents money on their electricity bill. This review is for Tustin Homedepot Kitchen design. I Had a very chatty kitchen designer who seemed very friendly and knowledgable during my initial intake. I paid for the full kitchen design and took her advice in good faith and tried to focus more on getting the kitchen done quickly by keeping things very simple. I Went with one color for cabinets and one material for counters and backsplash. Once payment was collected I quickly received a large cabinet shipment from American Woodwarks with few damaged items but several wrong parts that my designer had ordered incorrectly. Shortly after that we had a delay in either folks being on vacation, medical leave or just not returning emails. My kitchen was paid for in 10/15/24 and today I recived a very harassing call from Nargus demanding $1900 plus for what she called "a very beautiful kitchen that Vic the installed had txted her a photo of" when I brought up pending issue llike the blower sitting in my garage or the damaged cabinet door that we have tried reordering so many countless times to only have it arrive damaged or incorrect her soft voice calling me "Madame " turned into a very agreesive tone so I basically asked for her manager and she put some lady name Maxine on the phone who the handed the phone to Mario who continued to harrass me by bullying and threatening that if i don't pay him $1900 the project will be in a hault. mind you the cheap ikea kithcen parts and counters for a tiny tiny kitchen were already fully paid for totally almost 35,000 RUN!!! stay away from Home depot doing any kitchen renovation especialy the Tustin location. Many peoople warmed me how cheap their cabinets are and the about the wait period and today the threats.. The only positive thing was I liked some of the vendors. Like Pacific Stone. Ashley and her crew of men kicked ass with the stone install. I enjoyed working with Vic and Rockey and Bella at Rovics (cabinet installers) Really nice hard working people in the mercy of incompetent home depot employees who don't know how to treat paying customers. I have escalated my harassing calls to the store manager ALEXANDER PULA and unfinished kitchen (almost 4 months)in hops he can sit down and in a civil non harassing tone discuss my emails and all the details with the contracts.
