So my actual drink was good but my experience ordering wasn't good :/ I ordered ahead of time so that when I got there I could just go in and grab my Honeydew Slush but after 15 mins, my order wasn't ready yet. I started to wonder if there was only one person making all the drinks? There's one kiosk where you can order and every now and then someone will come out from the curtains to bring out orders. Just a weird set up and very slow service. The place is busy with CSUN students which is cool but almost 30 mins for 1 drink is way too long! Especially when I ordered ahead of time. People who were ordering from the Kiosk inside were getting their orders before me? haha I'm sure it's a good place and I just had a bad experience today!

The Ice Bar got a February promo on all matcha drinks! Just an fyi. This time I ordered a Viet coffee however with sea salt foam and 50% sweetness. I tried using the self serve kiosk. You choose a percentage for tip though, instead of entering it manually. Not a fan of that. Unless I may have missed something? Aside from that the drink was good!

The Ice Bar is my perfect escape from the business & chaos of Northridge. Located in a strip mall with lots of parking, The Ice Bar is the best place to go hang with friends, grab a refreshing drink or bunker down to study for hours on end. I've done all 3 of the aforementioned things on many occasions. I keep it simple & always order the Plain Fresh Green tea, it always comes out ice cold & consistently tastes great. There's a self serve kiosk if you don't feel like ordering with an employee but the employees always seem happy to help & answer any questions I have. They offer a handful of snacks & a pro tip: their ranch is DELICIOUS! I truly love The Ice Bar & I'm so so so happy to have it here in Northridge.

I had the best experience here, heather was so helpful and nice. The ambiance is very cool, lots of seating and I love that there is a touchscreen order screen for fast and easy ordering. I tried the strawberry milk tea which was amazing! If you like how milk tea tastes you'll love this as much as I did. It's a true milk tea flavor with a hint of strawberry. 10/10! I also had the chicken popcorn which was perfectly cooked, perfectly crispy, crunchy, and golden. I had it with ranch on the side. 10/10! Lastly, I had the strawberry dalgona with the matcha foam. The BEST drink I've ever had, truly. The whipped dalgona with strawberry flavoring was so good alone but with the thick matcha foam on top, it was even better. It tasted like true rich matcha flavoring and it's delicious. I will be coming back for this drink alone. I'm exited to try more drinks on the menu and to try the other food items as well. Came here with a friend after having sushi in town. I had the jasmine milk and it was really good. This Boba place was a minute or two from another really busy Boba place that my husband and I have been to before and their drinks were OK. At this Boba place, we were able to talk as it wasn't super loud and they had plenty of space to sit. you can order on the screen, and ready in a few minutes. I would definitely return to this place again.

On August 14th at 11:30 PM, we were hoping to enjoy some boba and decided to visit Ice Bar, as they were open until midnight. We ordered an oolong milk tea, a sea salt jasmine tea, and a taro milk tea. Unfortunately, the oolong milk tea seemed rather diluted, and the sea salt jasmine tea was over beyond salty. We didn't get the chance to try the taro the same day because we assumed it is going to be horrible. When we got the chance it was diluted as well. So, I called to complain and talked to the manager. She said the sea salt is supposed to be salty. Since we didn't drink the taro that night, we can't get a refund or exchange because tea sets?????? I never had this issue at Ice Bar. Sadly it did!

On September 1st, I had an extremely troubling experience at this location with the manager on duty, Carl. When I arrived, no staff were at the front counter, and because the restroom requires a code, I went through an unlocked side door to ask for assistance. As soon as I politely asked for the restroom code, Carl immediately became hostile, yelling and telling me to "get the fu#k out", effectively kicking me out without any valid reason. I explained that I had already placed an order and asked about my refund. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, he again said, "Don't come at me like that, bro," in a rude and threatening tone. He refused to provide a receipt and only said that my refund would be credited back to my card in three days. Carl's conduct was aggressive, vulgar, and completely unacceptable, especially for someone in a managerial position. His behavior created a hostile and intimidating environment for me as a customer, for no legitimate reason. Being kicked out for politely asking for assistance is not only unprofessional but also reflects very poorly on the business. I strongly urge Ice Bar management to take immediate action and seriously consider terminating Carl's employment. Staff who behave in this way are damaging the reputation of your business and putting customers at risk of being treated aggressively or unfairly. For reference, I have included a picture of Carl at the bottom.

Very much a college area location. They offer different discounts with specific criteria periodically, but offers can't be combined. If you're a student or have a student, take advantage of that discount. I had their Taro Milk Tea and it was quite good, perfectly sweet. I also enjoyed their Popcorn Chicken, seasoned well, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Portions are pretty good too. There are several booths to eat at but they can get taken up pretty quickly depending on the time of day. The service was helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, at the time that we went, they were playing very loud heavy metal music and it was driving me crazy. I know I'm getting up there in age, but I feel like any normal person would just want moderate volume and maybe more a neutral sounding music? LOL! Anyway, enjoyed the food, but that part sticks out in my mind.

They have a kiosk to order now. no employees come out to even help the line or take orders on the side. They call out a drink order and run back into the kitchen. I recommend to order your drink half sweet, they make it super sweet here!!

my friend loves this place so we went after dinner. I had it once and didn't think much of it but thought I should give it another chance since she was saying good things about it it's located next to a baskin robbins and the parking lot is a bit small, but I don't think people stay there too long so finding a parking spot was easy we ordered on a self-serve kiosk inside and there were lots of options to choose from! I ended up getting the milk foam jasmine green tea and it was actually really good! the foam made the drink creamier and it had a nice balance. the tea flavor wasnt too strong but it was still a good drink overall! we didn't interact with the worker too much aside from picking up our drinks but I think that happens when you order by yourself. overall, pretty solid boba spot in the area and I'm glad my friend suggested this place!

Came here around 7PM on a Friday night and ordered the classic milk tea. Drink flavor was ok and I liked that there wasn't a long wait but would not go back again. I had boba in my drink and the boba was super soggy, soft, and gross. I wanted to go back in to have the boba removed from my drink but was in a hurry so just left the store. If you're looking for a good chewy boba, I would not recommend this place. read more

Definitely one of the best boba milk tea I've had in a long time. I grew up in Hawaii and we had boba there long before it got popular in the states, so many people from Hawaii tend to be a little picky about their boba drinks. The gentleman at the counter was polite and helpful when I inquired about his recommendation. I don't live in Northridge, but if I did I may come here A LOT which could be deadly lol read more

I've been ordering drinks thru DoorDash for the last month and it's been good until today. I actually went in the store and ordered 7 drinks and food. I told my family about how good this place was but after today, I won't be coming back. 4 Thai teas were bland. No taste at all. I went back to the store with two drinks, the other two I already dropped off at my relatives house and informed the girl working. My drink was corrected but the other drink was even worse when my niece took a sip once I got back my sisters house. She said it went from bland to bitter according to her. LOVE THIS PLACE! Their drinks are delicious and their ingredients taste like great quality! They have another location in West Covina and I was so happy when I found out they opened one closer to me in Northridge! I drive the 40 minute drive from Torrance just to get boba here! Their drinks are the best!!! Their boba is also not overcooked like other places but is cooked perfectly chewy! Their drinks are also not too sweet, which I love! I definitely recommend! read more

Such refreshing drinks.. you can customize the sweetness of the drinks to your own preference. They provided hand sanitizers, the staff were wearing masks. The service was fast as well. read more

Got the honey dew smoothie, it is delicious. There are long lines, luckily we came here before everyone else came. They are very clean. They cleaned the table twice and added extra fruits. They also gave us extra chicken wings because they were nice. Everyone is friendly. Happy they keep everything so clean. You also have the try the fries. If you like cheese, you need to try it. We love this boba shop. It's local and doesn't have crazy long lines. They're really efficient in how they take orders and serve the drinks. My only complaint is that they don't take phone or online orders. My personal favorite is the mango slush. read more

2nd time I've ordered a Wintermelon Milk Tea to have it delivered as a regular Wintermleon Tea. Not sure why there is so much confusion when it clearly says Milk Tea in the order. Best boba place in the valley. This is my friends and I go to spot! The cheese cream Jasmine drink with egg pudding is our go to. They are pricey, wish they didn't raise the prices so much. It's a dollar for any topping, but worth it sometimes! My drink comes out to 7-8 dollars. I definitely recommend. Also great how they are always open late! read more

When it comes to the taste of the drinks, it is really bomb and good. Customer service sucks. I've been here in person and no issues with orders. Then we tried to do DoorDash today. It's just frustrating because we were so excited with the drinks to come and it's been a long day for us. We ordered 5 drinks and apparently only 3 drinks came. According to the DoorDash driver, those were the only drinks given to him. So we called and we spoke to this lady who gave this excuse that they still need to get the other 2 drinks at the back. Okay don't get me wrong. It's understandable that they may not carry 5 drinks at the same time, HOWEVER, they could have gathered all 5 drinks first on the counter BEFORE handing over to the DoorDash guy. Because most DoorDash people don't know the quantity of food they're getting. Then this lady even mentioned "we can't do anything about it unless you pick it up or DoorDash again" then I mentioned that it's gonna make us pay another delivery fees which will just make 2 extra drinks even more expensive. Then the call ended with us left nothing. This store could have been the one who shouldered that DoorDash delivery because it was their fault. However, this lady just put the burden on us on figuring it out. What a service. Hope the owner gets to read this. read more

My sister and I decided to try this spot because it was one of the only boba spots that closed at 12am and since I'm a night shift worker that wakes up in the late afternoon on my days off, it fit perfectly for me. I've tried their that tea and matcha milk tea and it was great. Their teas don't have that artificial taste to them. The sweetness doesn't feel artificial as well. The Thai tea is very nice and creamy and sweetness complements the tea well. Their drinks feel very high quality and food tastes great too. I've had their calamari and chicken and both were great. Also, if you are a frontline worker, you get a 30% discount if you check in as well. Highly recommend. read more

Saw this place on sponsored on my FB feed so I decided to try it. It was ok at best. We got the Calamari(Mushed and wasn't crispy), Popcorn chicken(kinda on the bland side) and Sweet Potato Fries(same as the popcorn chicken, on the bland side). Also got the Viet coffee and Milk Tea. Both were just ok. Would I come back? Not to sure as there are better options nearby. Hopefully they step up their game read more

I ordered a boba milk tea and a matcha milk tea, ended up getting the popcorn chicken too. Chicken was crisp and juicy. I thought the spice was good enough to have some burn but not to an extreme point. The drinks well, I wish I could have tried them. The to go drink tray I received fell apart 3 minutes into my 15 minute walk back home. Turned around and went to Bon Bon Tea House that was close by. read more

Alright soooo.. I don't really write too many reviews unless it's either really good or really horrible LOL. && in this case, I wanted to write you guys a 5 freakin star review because I literally have been ordering this particular drink (their sea salt foam roasted oolong brown sugar tea) every day or every other day through DoorDash. Yes, that's super unhealthy but it's super addicting. Its perfectly balanced; the foam isn't too heavy or overpowering the drink itself. The boba is soft and chewy and actually sweet and enjoyable to eat while drinking. They don't bombard you with boba either. I just love this drink so god damn much. Also, thank you so much for being one of the only boba places open until 12am. But a word for customers; try to order by 11:30pm! Workers need time to clean up and go home on time too ;) At this point I'm sure the people that work here know who I am because I order so much I have this one in my hand as I write this teehee. You guys definitely deserve more recognition and y'all have sooo many things to choose from! Keep up the great work~ read more

The drink was good but customer service was horrible. The first guy that greeted us was really nice but we weren't ready to order. Then a girl with a necklace that said "Mona" on it came up to us. I misread the menu and asked for an ice matcha milk tea and she responds "where do you see that on the menu?" In a condescending tone. I understand I misread and that wasn't a menu item but she could have recommended something else or been nicer about it. Definitely needs some customer service training. read more

I am so glad that they opened a location in Northridge, especially because of their chamoy slush drinks. The chamoy pineapple is my favorite. It was hard finding a decent chamoy drink in the West SFV, and I used to drive to the East SFV for this type of drink. Now I can have this drink close to home. The staff were friendly, as well, which is a plus for me. Please support this local business with MANY drink options for everyone. read more

Should say that they have boba in it or not. Really disappointed because it just shows to add extra boba. So I assume it already had boba inside. They should really switch the menu. Really was disappointed because I wanted boba. What's the point of mostly being a boba place and putting extra boba like that so anyone wondering. None of the drinks come with boba. You gotta put extra boba. They charge 1$ more for boba. First time I ever had to do. Most of the time it comes with it then says extra charges for extra boba. Never coming again. read more

If I was able I would've put ZERO stars. I ordered multiple drinks through DoorDash. My order came through with missing items, I have different drinks with different sweet levels and nothing was labeled. I had requested boba and that wasn't even added. On top of all this they didn't provide boba straws. I can't drink my drinks since regular size straws don't work with boba. Worse place to place order with. Sat away . There is many boba spots on this street . I for sure will never order from here again! read more

I went here only because Bon Bon had too many people (a business that actually knows how to do their job). 1) The drink that I got, brown sugar milk tea tasted like burnt sugar and 3 gallons of maple syrup. 2) I was #6 when I got my drink and it took them 30 minutes and me constantly asking about the drink for them to bring it out. The first time I asked (20 mins in) they said the drink was getting blended, 10 mins go by and I had to ask again so they actually bring it out instead of just leaving my drink in the back. Overall a total waste of $7, threw away that disgusting drink and wasted 30 mins... Just go to Bon Bon people. read more

If you're looking for a modern take on the classic dessert, you may appreciate it more than I did. Prices are pretty standard for Los Angeles, and they accept Apple Pay, which is always a plus.

Went at around 3:00 pm on the weekend and the plaza was packed. The store was moderately busy. Glad to see the shop still thriving! Would recommend browsing their food options if you're hungry.

A new spot for boba in SFV, walking distance to CSUN. I drove pass by many times but I didn't know this place was a boba tea shop. They offer paper towel to open the entrance door which is very COVID friendly, hand sanitizer provided at cashier, glass divided between customers & cashier. Store hasn't allowed dine in yet per cashier. They have some chairs for customers to sit outside the store. Menu is huge selection of drinks and caught my attention was Horchata with boba. Cashier recommended added coffee to it. It tasted delicious but I may go for lil less sweet next time. Hands down one of the best student spots in the SFV right now. The drinks are easily some of the most affordable in the market--you can actually grab a quality drink without breaking the bank. I love that they have a range of flavors, from their sweet signature milk teas to the spicy kick of their chamoy slushies (definitely recommend trying both!). The seating is mostly booths, which makes it a perfect, comfortable environment for studying or hanging out. Plus, the location is unbeatable if you're at CSUN. Only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because I wish they had better parking as this plaza gets busy, especially during night time, overall it's a solid local go-to. Covid friendly : They have paper towel for customers to open door entrance which is a plus during covid. Masks are required to enter the store, hand sanitizer provided before touching menu. A new boba store in SFV, I love to support new local business, especially during pandemic. I didn't expect much before coming here but Surprisingly this place is good, popcorn chicken is not Taiwanese style but it's very yummy, crunchy outside and the meat tender inside. The organic brown sugar milk tea 50% with boba is my favorite drink here. Love that they have an organic option. I don't know if they use powder but it doesn't taste powdery when I drink it.
