Our table sampled quite a few different martinis, and it was a nice surprise that even some of the fruitier options were well balanced and not tooooo sweet. (The pear and cucumber martinis were some of our favorites). They had a ton of specials for the night in addition to the regular menu, which made picking just a few appetizers and one entree each a challenge for most of us. Even the complimentary bread basket here deserves a shoutout: the housemade cornbread and focaccia were both 10/10. A few of the favorites from our table's selections were the escargot and calamari appetizers, both the eggplant and chicken parms, and the lobster and shrimp ravioli. Lobster ravioli is one of my favorite dishes of all time, and it's all over the greater Boston area. I have to say Basil's rivals any I've had before---the lobster cream sauce is to die for, I haven't stopped thinking about it since!!
