I've only made it a couple of times since they opened. But their food is amazing. Always good to eat some favourites from back home. The service has always been first class. I want to be fair and honest. This place had horrible service, only one waitress... although her attitude was good, she was extremely slow. The appetizers were cold although wayyyy overcooked and small I. Portions. Some in our party were happy and some very disappointed like me. Arriving on a Wednesday before the dinner rush, I walked in and thought the interior was nice from the footballer jerseys on the wall to phone booth and all of the other interesting tidbits of history strewn about. My server was friendly and greeted me with a smile and menus. I ordered the Guinness wings and the vegetarian poutine, specifically asking for the fries to be cooked extra crisp well done. I sat there waiting for my food, but the audio system playing the music had such a pronounced bass that it was nauseating. I asked one of the staff if they could turn the bass down and she held up the remote and said she couldn't do it, but could lower the volume. I tried to find another place to sit, but the bass continued. Certainly, there must've been some type of audio control through the settings, but that was probably "above her pay grade." I got my food, and was shocked to see the meager portions of the poutine especially for the $12 price. The server thought I was asking for an extra order of fries when asking them to be extra crispy. The wings were nothing special, and tasted more like a honey barbecue, and they probably put a splash of Guinness in there to earn the name. The bass kept thumping! So much so that I asked for a box and a check to leave. I'm not sure what caused confusion, but it took 3 employees to deliver my check and box. Although a little confused, my server's attitude and demeanor was the only saving grace to this review. Highly unlikely that I would recommend or return. read more

Service is very slow! Bigger tables fit 8 and if your party only has 4 except to sit with strangers if they sit you at a bigger table. We got our food and never once got checked on to see if we needed anything only when the food was dropped off. Needed napkins and silverware. Burger was ordered and asked no bleu cheese but never got checked up on to see if food was good, which it was not. Bleu cheese on burger and no avocado like menu stated. My husband got the stew and the portion is pretty small for $17, didn't come with bread either. Had to check on that when they dropped food off. Didn't get refills or anything on beers. Definitely need to look into hiring more servers as 2 waitresses are not enough for the volume they receive and not being able to keep up on tables. We visited the Irish Cowboy for dinner-desperately in need of a break from commercial food establishments and we are so glad we did!! It's the most charming Irish pub themed eatery and the food was amazing. We started off with the fried pickles-beer battered to perfection and the portion was generous-enough for my husband I to share. My husband ordered the Belfast Badboy-a man sized burger with corned beef which was super tasty. I ordered the Irish Reuben which included Swiss cheese and sauerkraut-which was a melt in your mouth delight. Have eaten at the Irish Cowboy several times. They apparently char their burgers on open flame; great char taste. Blue cheese burger is mighty tasty. Also had the fish & chips once, good flavor, tasted like cod fish, breading was good. Service was good, very attentive. Have enjoyed our visits. read more

We were so excited to try this place and it was our 3rd attempt because of wait times. So disappointed. You seat yourself at community tables which each seat 10. Took the server 15 minutes to recognize there were new people at the table. Ordered a martini and a beer. Beer was warm and martini served in a lowball glass over ice. Ordered bangers for an appetizer and were very good. Had the Irish stew and Rueben and were disappointed in both. Stew had few carrots and few potatoes and the meat was mushy. More like soup than stew. The Rueben was minimal at best. Toasted only one side of the sandwich. Atmosphere is loud. Poor server had to squeeze between tables to get to people against the walls. From the moment you walk in, you feel very welcomed by the staff. I wasn't sure what to expect but this Irish restaurant was so fun. First, the menu was extensive. If you wanted Irish food all of the traditional foods were there. I had cottage pie, my husband had the Belfast bad boy burger, another member of our party had bangers and mash, another wings, and salad, and our daughter a burger. Everything was good. Only complaint was the fries were a little cold but they still tasted great. We ended the meal with the baileys cheesecake and Guinness cake. They were both fantastic but the cake was the winner. We got an order of corned beef and cabbage and another chocolate cake to go. It was Friday so they had karaoke but nobody was singing yet when we were there. That was a bummer. Looks like they have other fun nights too like bingo and trivia night. Florence is lucky to have this place so let's keep them in business. Really enjoyed my family night out. We will be back! Just happened to come across this bar and we were pleased. They have all the Irish tap options available, Guinness, Harp, Kilkinny's , Magners. The bartender was friendly and engaging even demonstrated her mothering instincts providing a band aid for my husband's scraped arm. While we only had a beer, the food looked and smelled delicious. So, we decided to try this place after seeing it on social media. We stopped in on a Saturday night. We ordered drinks which arrived fairly quick and cold. We ordered fish & chips and a Reuben sandwich. The food arrived quickly. Arrived hot and everything tasted great. Server was super friendly and was attentive. There was live music the night we were there, I like the music, but a little loud for dinner music. But, overall, we will definitely be back for a second visit.
