This building was previously the Crown and Anchor pub. It was recently purchased by a new owner and renovated fully to become the Irish Spot. After seeing some great Instagram reviews and pictures of giant fish and chips, we decided to give this place a try on Friday night. We arrived after 9 PM and just missed not only the dinner rush, but the hockey game crowd as well. Apparently it gets very crowded for the hockey games. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the sausage rolls, which were fantastic. For my meal I had the fish and chips. You can choose between cod or haddock for your fish. The piece was gigantic and I could not finish it. I did love the homemade fries that came with it. My spouse had the bangers and mash. He was in heaven. The new owner came by and spoke to our table. He was very friendly and gave us a lot of information about what he is creating. The renovations are fantastic and really gave the place a new life.
What a great place! We were in Vegas from Boston and were looking for a Patriots bar to watch the game. Not only did we find the game but we found THE Patriots spot in Vegas. Kerry, Mags and Scott were amazing hosts. The food and drinks were on point! If you like wings, they do them right! So much great food coming out of that kitchen! TVs everywhere to watch the game! They made it feel like home! 5 stars out of 5!! You won't be disappointed!
Definitely first rate. Their Fish and Chips is pretty good. Nice, large, very crispy fish and larger-than-typical chips, more like small steak fries. The chips had a pleasant flavor all their own. The fish came with a heavy batter (like I enjoy), piping hot and tasty. Everything had a good flavor and was very filling. I topped it all off with a Guinness, something I haven't had in a while. We went Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't busy at all. Four tables were in use, with a handful of people around the U-shaped bar, a large group focused on a football game (not the one playing on every other TV. The one waitress was kept hopping, but checked with us several times. I left a rounded 20% tip ($10 instead of the suggested $9.52). The food was prompt. I'd definitely go back. [This was actually my second visit]
Everything you've seen online about this places true. Stop thinking about it and just come, the food's exactly what you're expecting and even better it's exactly what you're hoping for. Crispy on the outside buttery soft fish on the inside with just a kiss of salt as you're chewing it at the end. The size of the fish is exactly what you've seen and what you think it's going to be if you want the big monster whale, it's a different order but this was a perfect lunch that probably will carry me over into dinner. The other thing is that people seem to completely forget to mention the French fries, sorry about that, chips! The chips are freaking fantastic. You can tell that they are fresh to order not frozen skin on the tips. Perfectly fried. This place is everything it's advertised to be
This new vision for this place has a very chill vibe which I appreciated. The decor is sparkly and very pub like. The service was super friendly. I recommend sitting at a lower table versus one of the bar high ones as I found them to be more comfortable. The beer was served cold and stayed that throughout my drinking it. For the food, I got the Shepard fries. The flavor on the meat was super tasty and you could tell they made their own chips. However, I found them to not be crispy enough when extra crispy was requested and under seasoned.

Really disappointed with our meal. We ordered the chicken tenders and fish and chips, and unfortunately, neither was good. The food had very little flavor, the fish was burnt, and the chicken was tough and overcooked. Definitely would not recommend. If you're looking for good fish and chips, I'd recommend Cod Father instead!
I group a five of us met for lunch there yesterday cause we were all craving fish and chips. We decided on ordering the Waterford whaler... this is a two pound piece of fish and a pile of chips both cooked perfectly. There was so much food way more than enough to feed five of us. The fish was fried crunchy, delicious. The potatoes were handcut. It must have been double fried, but they were so so good. I cannot stress how much you guys need to come visit this place
We tried them out on a Monday evening. There were some other guests there, but it wasn't too busy. We were seated quickly by a friendly waitress. The interior has been very nicely cleaned up. All of the structure is the same, but they definitely gave everything a scrub and coat of new paint. It's nice and comfortable. The menu feels a little limited at the moment, but the food we had was good. The Guinness was excellent. Which is, I feel like, fairly important for an Irish pub. Overall it feels like a nice place to go for a bite and a drink. Cozy and reasonable.
Place was clean, food was good, service was not up to par. Asked for water twice and never got it, the servers friend arrived she took them beers to the patio and then a horrible oder of sewage entered the dining room. My husband ordered a Blacksmith and she did not know what it was. The beer glass was cracked. Then when we asked for the check wehad to ask multiple times.
1st/2nd time was GREAT, good size Cod, good chips, great tartar. Went last Sunday and the fish was good but considerably smaller and only gave me 6-7 fries (very small portion) for $20+. Went today, showed the bartender and the owner pic from my last meal which was seriously lacking in fries. The cook/owner must have been offended or something because I got a good portion of fries, but the fish was even smaller then the last time and the cook/owner dumped an extreme amount of salt on my fries and fish, making both not edible for anyone. Tossed the entire meal to the Pigeons and so far they wont even eat it either. SORRY but The Irish Spot is inconsistent, and the immaturity of the BOH staff (over salting the food on purpos) will be a hard pass for me from now on. I would stay away from this place if I were you. I'm going back to The Cod Father which has been consistently good for many years (even though it is farther from my house). The Irish Spot doesn't hit the spot for me. When the tartar sauce is the only thing to brag about, you got problems. Doesn't matter the quality of the product if it can't be executed consistently and properly.

Ordered The Whale and a Shepherds Pie. The fish was fried perfectly! Not oily at all! Probably the best fish and chip I've ever had! The shepherds pie was also delicious. This was the coolest little bar with amazing food. It wasn't busy at all. This place is a gem. read more

The Irish Spot is a fabulous place in Las Vegas. They're at the former location of Crown & Anchor British Pub. You'll find them on Tropicana and Maryland, next to Sherwin-Williams Paints with plenty of parking. Soft opening was on April 1, 2026. Grand opening is yet to be announced, you can check their social media for the exact date. Inside is dimly lit, spacious, and clean with ample seating for a table, by the bar, and patio. There's fantastic music playing in the background. In the back, they have an area where you can throw darts, there's no charge. But if you want to play pool, it's on the second floor and the price is $5 per hour. Happy Hour is Monday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm, and during Vegas Golden Knights Games Menu offers a nice selection of tasty items such as shepherds pie, battered sausage, wings, chicken burger, beef smash burger, ham & cheese toastie, fish & chips, and chicken caesar salad. I ordered Sausage Roll (3 pieces, $14), it's pork sausage baked in soft and crispy puff pastry served with a side of mustard. The sausage roll is premade and imported from Ireland. Each roll is baked, cut in bite-sized portion, delivered hot, and shareable too! It's a generous serving for an appetizer, and I could eat just one. The meat is moist and tender, but doesn't have any distinct seasoning. It's nice there's a side of salt and pepper, so I added a little bit to season the meat, and it's good! The mustard is great too, I asked for an extra side of spicy mustard (+$0.50) to go with the remaining sausage rolls. The sausage rolls are pretty tasty and only need a little seasoning, but I understand everyone's palate is different. For sweets, they have Sticky Toffee Cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream ($9). I'll have to try dessert next time! Service from Monica is very kind, welcoming, courteous, attentive, helpful, and friendly! I noticed the bar got busy after 9pm, it's a fun crowd with an atmosphere that's relaxing, not too loud, very chill and laid back. read more

I just tried this spot for the first time and I got the fish and fries. The fish was huge, crunchy and delicious. The restaurant itself is a whole vibe. The staff was very friendly and tentative. They had tons of TV screens watching sports everyone around the bar and eating. We're having a great time. read more

We had family in town and wanted to have fish and chips. We thought we would give the Irish Spot a try. Normally we would go to the Crown and Anchor but the Irish Spot is very close to home. Both the haddock and cod were over battered with no flavor. The chips were not chips but a bad version of a steak fry. The curry sauce tasted more like ash than curry. Even what they said was coke came to the table looking like iced tea and flat. None of the food was acceptable. The service was mediocre at best. The interior of the place is nice and clean but nothing special. Overall very disappointed. read more

We went to watch the US World Cup game with a few friends here and had a great time. It was a fun environment. People cheering and high-fiving. The staff worked their tails off keeping up with the demand of food and drinks. The drink specials during the game were great. We got a bucket of beers and brought them to our area which was convenient. After the US victory, I snapped these pictures from the second level of the whole bar. Can't wait to return next Friday for the next US World Cup match. read more

Cooked in 100% beef tallow and no seed oils? Yes please! The food was SO good and so fresh (could definitely tell it wasn't cooked in vegetable oils.) our server Anna was amazing and was really holding it down in there! We ordered the salt and pepper wings, Caesar salad and smash burger. The beef tallow fries were INCREDIBLE. My husband and I split the smash burger and it was so good I wish I would have ordered my own! We are from out of town and if we lived here we would make this place our new fave spot read more

So excited to have a new Spot! Big fan of The Spot and their new place looks great! The fish and chips are amazing! The best I've had in Vegas! Sausage rolls are a must try. Came here on a whim. Staff friendly. Food comforting. Only caveat about tonight...it was USA vs Paraguay in World Cup game. Let's just say it was super lively! Even with ALL the commotion the server was awesome and attentive. Staff was proud of the renovation. We were regulars at the old place in the fall with our bulldogges. Can't wait to frequent the patio again (neither can Leela) when it cools off. read more

My wife and I wanted to try this place. The staff is friendly. Decor is more modern sports pub than an old style Irish pub. Very limited menu. Ordered shepherd's pie. The ground beef had a strange spice that made me think it is typically used for their 'loaded nachos'....nachos at an Irish pub . The wife got fish and chips, which was tasteless and the tartar was even more tasteless.The chips were unique and tasted like real potatoes. We asked for ketchup and were give a cup of ketchup, not a bottle. Good place if you don't set a high bar. read more
