Well I gave this place another chance after about a year or so and I can honestly say this is the worst I've had it. Pizza was atleast cooked all the way on the bottom but it was greasier than crap. Got thin crust looked regular lol. Sat and waited for a little so I thought I'd have a Bloody Mary, bad idea was the worst Bloody Mary I've ever had and it was $10 lol. Anyway i ordered 3 salads, all were wilted and tasted watery. And last, me and my wife got a chicken fettuccine Alfredo to share that was absolutely the worst I've ever had in my life! Small but mighty! The Italian Kitchen did not disappoint! The servers were extremely friendly and attentive and explained everything perfectly. The homemade Italian dressing is super flavorful and delicious, my husband said that the minestrone was a 10/10 (coming from a very picky Italian).. the spaghetti carbonara was out of this world. Not impressed at all Food came out with items not listed and items that I'm ALLERGIC too. I asked the waitress why this item was in the entrée when it is not listed as an item in the entrée I ordered. She didn't have an answer for me. She never offered to take my plate back or remove it from the bill or offer another option, so I ended up having it sit at the edge of the table and she never came around again to ask us if we needed drink refills etc. because she knew my plate was sitting at the edge of the table. We still tipped her more than appropriately, however I definitely will not be returning due to the lack of service and the lack of items listed on the menu that really don't come in your entrée they come with some thing else I don't want to spend the money and take a chance. And from other people I've talked to this has happened more than once so I'm not sure what the rave about this place is . Definitely go to Mama Carpinos in Apple Valley , I've now been there twice and definitely exceeded my Italian expectation and my service expectation . read more

Ummm I really don't understand the hype of the food here. My husband and I came in for dinner tonight and the food was very bland and mediocre. The prices are a little bit ridiculous also and they only accept cash. I ordered the baked ziti which had hardly any sauce and just tasted like cooked noodles and cheese. My husband ordered the fettuccine alfredo and the sauce had a weird grainy texture it was kinda gross honestly. The "hot fresh garlic bread" they give you is cold and hard. Also the service is sooooo beyond slow. I'm pretty sure there was one waitress for the entire restaurant which isn't her fault, she was sweet and attentive when she happened to be around. Overall I would say we will not be returning due to lack in flavor, high prices, cold bread, and slow service. I'm sure there are better Italian places in the HD. read more

Ove this quaint little Italian restaurant. Mike the owner has been here for over 30 years making great homemade Italian dishes. His staff is always nice and efficient. Service was horrible. Totally creepy feeling. We were sat in the back & forgotten about. There was a couple that sat down behind us, they had a different server. They got their drinks before us, got to order before us, and received their food before us. My husband & daughter got their drinks, but I didn't get mine till we got our salad & bread. Been here a few times and I will unequivocally claim this to gave the best Italian food in the High Desert. The menu boasts chicken dishes, seafood, pasta, antipasto, and even pizza. And the best thing is- it's all delicious. I've had something different every time I've been here (and nibbled off of a few other plates), and have always been impressed. Not only is the food good, the portions are generous as well. You're not leaving this place hungry. The restaurant itself is pretty small, which can make for cramped seating and tough parking. You'll probably be okay as long as you don't come as a large group. One thing to note- this restaurant is cash only. I don't understand how they can mess up spaghetti so badly, but they do. Love their salad but not going to pay the price for salad alone. Really too bad . First of all, I'm 100% Italian and it's hard to emulate Italian food. I mean real Italian food. My uncle who is a chef always told me he bases Italian restaurants off of their linguini and clams. Well, I did that several years ago and it got my attention. I can't seem to let it go! I've had other meals here before and they were all great, but nothing like the linguini and clams.
