WOW! We have been wanting to come here for years and finally made it happen, and I'm already planning my next trip. Overview: great spot with supper club atmosphere but a steakhouse menu that delivers exceptional quality. Details to follow: This experience start to finish was outstanding. A true supper club vibe: you arrive and are offered a seat at the bar to enjoy a cocktail while they get your table ready. When you are ready to sit down you are escorted to the cozy dining room where the friendly staff gives recommendations and takes your order. I do not say this lightly: this is absolutely, in my humble opinion, the BEST STEAK in Milwaukee. We had the ribeye and oh my goodness it was incredible. I am actually not a big steak fan because I often find them to be under or overcooked from what I ordered and almost always spit a lot of the meat out because I find it to be tough and chewy. I ate this entire steak- which was a perfect medium, as ordered. I even said to my husband while we were eating "this might be the first time ever I've gotten a true MEDIUM steak when I ordered medium". Also Bud Selig was eating there when we got there which was pretty cool. And don't sleep on the cocktails! My aviation with Hendricks was wonderful. Thanks Kevin and the rest of the staff for a wonderful experience!

Went here on a Saturday night after seeing the place next to Gerber Collision. Old school vibes. Great Braves/Brewers memorabilia. Started at the bar and had a cocktail. Moved seamlessly to the table and had the shrimp appetizer followed by solid red meat. Wine list is not pretentious with multiple good California options. Meredith was attentive and answered our endless stream of questions. Crème brûlée was as I like it - light, straightforward and unembellished by other stuff. Overall - menu has limited options but everything we had was done well. Certainly plan to return.

Had a lovely dinner at The Jackson Grill last night. The amazing vibe in that place! Love sitting at the bar to eat always because Kevin, the bartender is a show too. We had dirty martinis and some cosmos. Appetizer was a shrimp scampi. For entrees, we ordered: Tournedos Three peppercorn crusted Medallions a la portabella e crème bordelaise Filet with portabella Seared scallops with risotto Chef knocked it out of the park with all of these proteins. Love that nothing has changed! The salads we had were very fresh with housemade dressings. This supper club has such old school energy that I'm in love with. Food and cocktails are perfect.

a true supper club experience - and I think this will really give friends who come to visit the *wisconsin* experience. the interior is unassuming, you absolutely aren't coming here for the vibes. minimal aesthetics. but the food was surprisingly good - which I expected given that I came here a week after my friend recommended it to me. I wanted to try the wagyu which was a special and it was very yummy. Got to be too chewy and full of fat towards the end though. And the crab bisque soup was soooo warm and delicious, perfect for dipping the bread in! One of my faves for sure. I think the garlic noodles had a lot of potential if they didn't use farfalle. a twirly noodle was what I had in mind instead. The airline chicken was such a miss. They had run out of 3 things on the menu (that I had been eyeing up before) so I was initially super disappointed. And shockingly they even had a plant based meat on the menu too. The vanilla bean creme brulee was a must have, perfect way to end dinner

Amazing choices. Elegant made easy. Love this!

Diamond in the rough. Service personable, knowledgeable and professional! The ambience is date approved. The service is great. They greet you and assist you soon after entering the door. The drinks are made perfectly. I don't get martinis or sidecars anywhere but I do here! The bar and seating area are beautiful. The food is just amazing I have not yet had anything I didn't like. Steak dishes are grilled to perfection. I would suggest the mushrooms and butter. Scallops perfect not sandy and tender. The pork chops are a good portion and tender with garlic confit a la portabella! The airline chicken is so much more but love the name. Brown butter, golden, tender, juicy with garlic mash and asparagus! Yes! I'm looking forward to the medallions with creme bordelaise! Stay tuned. I'll let you know. Need I say dessert? I've had the lava cake and creme brule. Both are great. I'll try bananas foster next! Recommended!

1000% can't wait to go back. This cute little restaurant on the south side had a supper club like menu and everything was delicious. The Cajun bbq shrimp may have been the best thing I have ever had. The sea bass was a perfect portion and cooked to perfection! And our server Mal was the best.

I was looking for a good steak and we found this listing with great rating but minimal number as they had just reopened under new management. Nice little supper club nestled in a neighborhood. Friendly bartenders and great house cocktails. Try black manhattan! I had the grilled 16 oz ribeye, medium. It was thick, slightly blackened and delicious, with crab bisque and broccoli with pepper sauce all were awesome. My wife had salmon with crab hash and Asparagus, it was also awesome. Our servers were friendly and attentive. I love ribeye and this was of the best I've had. Definitely going back!

Made a reservation for 2 on NYE- 8:30pm Arrived solo and decided to just order at the bar ~ accommodated politely. Very cozy establishment, loved the original blonde intact back bar, gave a historic time stamp of its Era... however the lighting choices, a big box 1980s flair, with continuity of a dry brown paint throughout, was drab. Not complementary of the character this establishment still holds after decades. 38capacity and 3floor staff, type 'quaint' and welcoming. My old fashioned cocktail made by Kevin was perfect~ the warm bread, salad and wine pairing, perfect start. I ordered a medium rare steak with scallops and garlic mash. The scallops were buttery perfect texture and delicious, steak nearly WELL done, and a firm portabella, bit too much for my taste.. albeit I was taken care of right away and it was agreed~ steak overcooked. I went outside came back in to a fresh, hot, perfectly delicious med rare steak I enjoyed greatly. I learned the owners are the kitchen staff, it was the end of night and it's so easy for select meats to cook quickly. Round two was perfect, I will be back with friends and will do my 'interior designers' best, not to salivate over the brown blank canvas this place presents itself to my brain. (What I do to these walls, could be delicious too)

Definitely a quirky location. Love the supper club atmosphere. Didn't sit at bar as I was with me daughter but cool. The were great answering questions via messenger. Menu is not huge but we knew that. Filet was spot on and rare lol Iike ordered. My daughter lives it too. Service was great. Will definitely be back.

Still, I believe that service should be quicker than it was. We had to wait quite a while to even get our drinks. Our server was friendly, but I just would've liked service to be quicker as we were getting something to eat after a long day skiing. I got the jalapeno cheddar brat, which came with your choice of potato and another side. I got the baked potato and pickled cabbage. Both were nothing special but good. The brat was great! I wish they had a meal with two brats, because even just the meal with one was pretty pricey. My drink was some peach cocktail and I didn't realize it was be so large!! But it was really good. Brat Stop is a local establishment that's close to the highway and looked like something I could easily eat in the car, so I called in and ordered to go of a two brat plate with fries. I asked for a smoked garlic brat and a cheddarwurst, but I believe they gave me a Cajun brat instead of the cheddarwurst based on the flavor of the second one. I still ate it because I didn't dislike it and I didn't feel like going back to have them replace it, but if it was Cajun it wasn't spicy enough for how I like Cajun food. The smoked garlic brat was great and worth the $1 upcharge. I appreciate that the fries were battered and had plenty of crispy pieces in the box. Yes, I would stop again because the smoked garlic brat and fries were excellent, but I'm knocking off a star from this review for them screwing up my order.

We reviewed the menu while we waiting for seating, which took far longer than we wanted, more than 30 minutes standing in the cramped lobby area with a bunch of other people. Hats off to their host for being friendly and even a little entertaining and I like that you can order coffee at the register area and drink it while you wait. Too bad you can't get a cocktail out there. The menu sounded great and we were ravenous so we were excited to order. By the time we were seated we were limited to about 40 minutes to get to a ticketed event, all in. I told that to our waitress so she could pace the meal accordingly. While I understand that she can't control the kitchen time, I don't think she showed any expediency or attention to my statement. Spoiler alert - we were late. Two of us ordered the biscuits to start with jam. I was happy to try them and they were good. My coffee based martini hit the spot, but it was spilled a little when it hit the table and our server didn't say anything or wipe it off. My mom liked her bloody Mary and it was decent. When our food came I was immediately disappointed by the appearance. My chilaquiles looked like they had sat under a heat lamp for ages - the egg was dried and over firm. My chips were spicy, but 100% soggy and nasty. My black beans were - meh. Not a good dish overall. My mom actually didn't find fault with her Honeypie Benedict. I tried the hollandaise and it was fine. My cousin did not enjoy her Hopple Popple skillet at all. (Potatoes, bacon, caramelized onion, mushroom, bell pepper, cheddar, two scrambled farm eggs) She found it difficult to find any egg, as it was apparently shrunk into tiny bits. The potatoes were like fries and it was overall bland. Not a winner. We certainly won't be back. The dishes don't live up to the interesting descriptions of them and the hype seems to be from an earlier, better time for this restaurant.
