One of the best steaks I've had in MKE, but like I said, somewhat pricey. But they have a lot of wagyu options so it makes sense. Ordered two steaks and 3 sides, husband ordered medium filet and I ordered medium rare ribeye. The steaks were reversed and mine was too done and his was not done enough. For these 72 and 69 dollar steaks, this was very disappointing. The salad was pretty chinsy, only some lettuce and 2 cucumber slices. The service was just OK, not great. Someone other than our server brought the food and quickly left. We did not receive any steak knives for the steaks and had to flag someone down so we could cut them. We also had dessert, a mini lava cake which was a joke, just a bit larger than a half dollar and not very good either. The decor was old and tired, not even a little classy, more like an old tavern and definitely needs a total redo. There are so many superior steak houses we have been to that are much better for a 276 meal. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. read more

WOW! We have been wanting to come here for years and finally made it happen, and I'm already planning my next trip. Overview: great spot with supper club atmosphere but a steakhouse menu that delivers exceptional quality. Details to follow: This experience start to finish was outstanding. A true supper club vibe: you arrive and are offered a seat at the bar to enjoy a cocktail while they get your table ready. When you are ready to sit down you are escorted to the cozy dining room where the friendly staff gives recommendations and takes your order. I do not say this lightly: this is absolutely, in my humble opinion, the BEST STEAK in Milwaukee. We had the ribeye and oh my goodness it was incredible. I am actually not a big steak fan because I often find them to be under or overcooked from what I ordered and almost always spit a lot of the meat out because I find it to be tough and chewy. I ate this entire steak- which was a perfect medium, as ordered. I even said to my husband while we were eating "this might be the first time ever I've gotten a true MEDIUM steak when I ordered medium". Also Bud Selig was eating there when we got there which was pretty cool. And don't sleep on the cocktails! My aviation with Hendricks was wonderful. Went here on a Saturday night after seeing the place next to Gerber Collision. Old school vibes. Great Braves/Brewers memorabilia. Started at the bar and had a cocktail. Moved seamlessly to the table and had the shrimp appetizer followed by solid red meat. Wine list is not pretentious with multiple good California options. Meredith was attentive and answered our endless stream of questions. Crème brûlée was as I like it - light, straightforward and unembellished by other stuff. We had dirty martinis and some cosmos. Appetizer was a shrimp scampi. For entrees, we ordered: Tournedos Three peppercorn crusted Medallions a la portabella e crème bordelaise Filet with portabella Seared scallops with risotto Chef knocked it out of the park with all of these proteins. Love that nothing has changed! The salads we had were very fresh with housemade dressings. This supper club has such old school energy that I'm in love with. a true supper club experience - and I think this will really give friends who come to visit the *wisconsin* experience. the interior is unassuming, you absolutely aren't coming here for the vibes. minimal aesthetics. but the food was surprisingly good - which I expected given that I came here a week after my friend recommended it to me. I wanted to try the wagyu which was a special and it was very yummy. Got to be too chewy and full of fat towards the end though. And the crab bisque soup was soooo warm and delicious, perfect for dipping the bread in! One of my faves for sure. I think the garlic noodles had a lot of potential if they didn't use farfalle. a twirly noodle was what I had in mind instead. The airline chicken was such a miss. They had run out of 3 things on the menu (that I had been eyeing up before) so I was initially super disappointed. And shockingly they even had a plant based meat on the menu too. The drinks are made perfectly. I don't get martinis or sidecars anywhere but I do here! The bar and seating area are beautiful. The food is just amazing I have not yet had anything I didn't like. Made a reservation for 2 on NYE- 8:30pm Arrived solo and decided to just order at the bar ~ accommodated politely. Very cozy establishment, loved the original blonde intact back bar, gave a historic time stamp of its Era... however the lighting choices, a big box 1980s flair, with continuity of a dry brown paint throughout, was drab. Not complementary of the character this establishment still holds after decades. 38capacity and 3floor staff, type 'quaint' and welcoming. My old fashioned cocktail made by Kevin was perfect~ the warm bread, salad and wine pairing, perfect start. I ordered a medium rare steak with scallops and garlic mash. The scallops were buttery perfect texture and delicious, steak nearly WELL done, and a firm portabella, bit too much for my taste.. albeit I was taken care of right away and it was agreed~ steak overcooked. I went outside came back in to a fresh, hot, perfectly delicious med rare steak I enjoyed greatly. I learned the owners are the kitchen staff, it was the end of night and it's so easy for select meats to cook quickly. Round two was perfect, I will be back with friends and will do my 'interior designers' best, not to salivate over the brown blank canvas this place presents itself to my brain. Absolutely great! The only con was the wobbly chairs that needed some tightening. As for the steaks! Well, this is a steakhouse! I mean the steaks were cooked perfectly for my wife and I! Mine medium well and hers well. I mean these steaks were tender and full of delicious beef flavor! We recently visited a place in Bluemound Rd which we will not visit again, ever. We lived this unique little supper club. It was so old school. Set on the corner of a residential area this little gem offers up excellent grilled steaks. The cocktails are awesome. The food fresh and made to order. The garlic mashed potatoes so yummy. The only thing I didn't care for was the bruschetta , which I understand they have their own twist on but I say don't mess with a simple classic bruschetta. I really, really wanted to like this place. Started out quirky when we made reservations for a Saturday eve and were told that we needed to make a 4:30 reservation for a table of three. I thought wow - this place gets slammed and they must book up quickly. I'll get back to that in a bit. We were promptly seated in the empty dining room at 4:30, specials of the eve explained by a professional server. We ordered (Sea bass, fillet medallions and porterhouse) along with 2 crab bisque and a salad. Soup arrived at room temperature and was sent back. It was delicious crab bisque but weirdly being so few people in restaurant that it would not be up to a safe serving temperature. Food came - medallions that were ordered well came medium, porterhouse that was ordered MR came MW and sea bass arrived. Tenderloin portion of porterhouse was good - strip side was quite chewy - definitely not a prime steak for the price. Steak was not broiled, rather appeared to be pan seared which lacked flavor. My wife who never complains ate her medallions but was super disappointed. Sea bass was consumed by the group member originating the reservation. Was overall very disappointed that Supper Club is even mentioned in their website. It's just an old steak joint (no supper club accoutrements like relishes, cheese spread). It has an atmosphere that is ripe to become a real supper club. Back to the only table being available at 4:30 conversation when we made reservations - we left at 6:15 and over 1/2 of the tables remained open. Let me finish by saying the members of our group who made the reservations called to speak to the manager / owner. She explained the evening's disappointment with the reservation process, cold soup, steaks to wrong temperature as well as her bout of food poisoning from the Sea Bass. The manager took notes and promised that an owner would contact her - crickets - yet to occur! If your plans are to have a real nice meal in Milwaukee Area I'd have to honestly say this isn't the place for you. Try the 5 O'Clock Steakhouse in Milwaukee and save the disappointment. read more

Great conversation, a warm personality and someone who loves his job and the restaurant he works for. He set the tone for our entire night and it was lovely.
