What a great experience from beginning to end! Relaxing atmosphere and pace of the awesome dining experience and team. Love how they change tablecloth for each dining! The bread basket with port cheese is super fresh and tasty but one piece per person was too small of a serving when it's so good! I guess I could have asked for more but did not. The rack of ribs were enough for 1/2 to take home and had the perfect amount of sauce. I didn't want the fries so asked for baked potato and was charged $6 which I guess I should have asked to wrap the fries. Noticed the split grasshoppers at another table which is a great size but can only get it as a split unfortunately. Charred Brussel sprouts hit the spot as another great accompaniment for the ribs and not the coleslaw included in my opinion. The Schaum Torte is like no other! Perfectly stacked meringue with lovely berry sauce and strawberries with ice cream stuffed and whipped cream topped!

I have been coming here for several years now. We truly enjoy the ambiance of this restaurant as well as the great team of folks that work there. Had several great experiences there and have always had a great meal with superior service. Attached are some pictures of the items we have ordered and always so good. This place is great for business meals as well as just a good night out meal experience. We are going there tonight and I am sure I will not be disappointed ! High recommendations to try or make this a great go to location.

A supper club atmosphere with low lighting and a choice of a table or cozy booth. Frank Sinatra and other music from that era playing. Our server, Michelle was very friendly and on top of everything from taking our orders, refilling our water and just checking in to see how we were doing. Since my husband and I are not big steak or seafood people and we had gift cards to use we both ordered burgers with fries. The meal started with bread sticks, crackers, port wine cheese and butter and we also received 2 warm buns. All very delicious. Our burgers were just how we asked, mine well done and my husband's medium rare. The burger had tomato, lettuce, onion, cheese and a garlic aoili sauce which I had on the side. A good size burger and plenty of fries. The fries were crispy and delicious and the burger was also. I was only able to eat half the burger and a few fries before I was full so loved bringing leftovers home. All in all a good meal and experience.

Dinners here are always amazing but the happy hour is hands down the best in the city! Every time I've come to Joey Gerard's for happy hour they end up packed so many others are also taking advantage of the great value. The staff here is also very friendly and still checks in just enough, even with a full bar area! To start, the happy hour appetizer options will satisfy every craving, from cheese curds to charcuterie or relish trays to the best prime rib sandwiches and onion strings! The prices are very reasonable and a 2-3 choices paired with a happy hour beverage (today it was a great $7 glass of wine), you have a truly phenomenal dinner (at least for my appetite). An extra nice touch is the bread basket which includes breadsticks and spread cheese for some of the supper club experience. I always leave Joey Gerard's feeling very satisfied, full and like every bite was perfectly prepared, whether it's dinner or happy hour. It's not every day you can consistently find great food, great service and great prices so check out Joey Gerard's - you won't regret it!

Went on a quieter Friday night and had a great time! We usually come here to celebrate special occasions, but a regular date night was just as lovely! We had 2 servers, a young man and a woman named Kim and they were both great! We tried some new dishes this time: clam chowder, crab artichoke dip, and shrimp pasta. All were amazing. One tiny suggestion. I really love the cheese spread. The bread was perfect but the packaged breadsticks were stale. No big deal, but this place is so good that I know tiny details matter to them. Please support this awesome place in Greendale!

Exploring all the halal restaurant week options I can this week and I kicked it off with my first Wisconsin Supper Club experience. Located in Historic Greendale everything was excellent from the bread and butter down to the service and the food. I got the lamb chops and they were fantastic,

Tonight my wife and I had a wonderful experience at Joey Gerard's. We were celebrating my birthday and everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until we walked out the door. Upon entering we were confronted with a classic steak house bar staffed by two really good bartenders. The hostess was gracious and accommodating and showed us to our booth after a drink at the bar. Our waitress Kim could not have been better. Efficient, friendly and genuinely excited about the selections on the menu, she was great. The food was in typical Bartolotta fashion - very high quality and expertly prepared. Crème Brûlée for dessert finished off an unforgettable meal. We will be back!

Service was excellent. Food came out quickly and was al correct. I ordered the seafood platter and I don't know why. I dont love deep fried food like that. But it was definitely a big serving. The filet was fantastic along with the loaded baked potato. Do not skip dessert!

Lovely Bartolotta Supper Club located in the heart of Greendale. As with all of their establishments, service is top notch. Complimentary bread, crackers, & cheese spread was a nice start. We both ordered the French Onion Soup-sweet, savory, & cheesy! I opted for the filet with blue cheese butter, garlic spinach, & baked potato. Also asked for crab & bernaise sauce on the side. Was it the best steak I've ever had? No, however the entire experience will keep us coming back-even just for a drink & app at the bar!

    Jaclyn T.

Good experience at JG, but recommend a few changes French onion soup was pure onion and barely any broth. Would recommend less onion and more broth. Steak was fine. Had some type of pot roast which was good. The veggies were a lil mediocre. Everything else was fine. Waiter was great and fun experience!

We were excited to try Joey Gerard's, hoping (as the name implies) it would be a modern take on a typical Wisconsin supper club. Instead, we got a rather typical steakhouse. The service was attentive in white coats, but the food was just lackluster and...typical. We shared a wedge salad and had the ribeye steak. Mushrooms were lukewarm at best. The potatoes were greasy and lukewarm. The steak was lukewarm. The meal was fine. I guess we just had hoped for more.

I told him some lady said she would take my reservation but because I didn't have a name he couldn't believe what I was saying to be true. He said I will try to get you a table in the next half hour while other guests have to wait 1-2 hours making me feel like I was inconveniencing him. An hour later we finally got seated. Mind you the whole first hour standing in a cramped- way too full bar - is not fun. So we were given 2 free apps for the "misunderstanding". Our waitress forgot my friends wine - not the biggest deal. Everyone but me ordered a prime rib and they were all mostly fat. I was willing to overlook the whole reservation thing if the food was worth the wait, but it was not. The best thing I ate was truffle fries. If you want to book a dinner for a special occasion don't waste your time here.

The Steakout - Milwaukee, WI…read more If you're headed to Milwaukee, The Steakout is an absolute must. I eat steak at least once a week, both at home and at restaurants. At home, I know exactly what my family and I like. Ordering steak out is always a bit of a gamble. My husband usually avoids it because 1) we (well I) make great steak at home and 2) every other business meeting seems to happen at a steakhouse. The Steakout is the exception. This place was a solid 10/10 from start to finish. The Atlantic Salmon was an absolute masterpiece. Yes...even in the Midwest. Sushi-grade salmon, perfectly seared on the outside with a buttery medium-rare center. We almost ordered the walleye because, well, Wisconsin. Instead, we took a chance and were rewarded big time. Paired with a bright lemon aioli and served over a rich butter broth, every bite made us look at each other and say, "Okay...this was the right decision." Aside from finding a couple fish bones (because fish are, in fact, made of fish and bones), this dish was outstanding. Now let's talk Prime Rib. Prime rib and I have a complicated relationship. I see it on a menu and immediately think, "this is the one." Then about half the time I spend the rest of dinner wishing I'd ordered something else, like a trusty ribeye or NY Strip. Not here. The Steakout absolutely nailed it. Perfectly medium rare, juicy, flavorful, with a fantastic au jus, beautifully seared asparagus, and just the right thickness. Honestly, I don't know what they could've done better. I couldn't make anything up even if I tried! The French Onion Soup was another winner. Rich, cheesy, and exactly what you hope for when you order French onion soup. And because it's a true Midwest supper club, dinner started with a warm bread basket and a classic relish tray loaded with fresh vegetables, pickles, and olives. Honestly, I wish every restaurant still did this. Bring back relish trays! Of course, no great steak dinner ends without dessert. Even though we were absolutely stuffed, we ordered the tiramisu to go. "To go" lasted approximately five minutes. By the time we waddled to the car looking like Violet after her Willy Wonka blueberry fiasco, that tiramisu didn't stand a chance. Thankfully, we headed straight to Milwaukee's Summerfest afterward to walk off at least a few of the calories. Zero regrets. For the quality of food, the portions, and the overall experience, The Steakout is incredibly reasonably priced. If you're anywhere near Milwaukee, do yourself a favor and put this one at the top of your list.

We made a last minute reservation but am so glad we did because this place got busy quick! We arrived a little earlier than our reservation so we sat at the quaint bar (the layout reminded me of a "Cheers" episode) and enjoyed a glass of wine until we were called to be seated, promptly at exactly when our reservation was for. The bartender was friendly and helpful in suggesting a selection of wine too. I ordered a petite filet but I think it would've been helpful to have the weights of the other two filets listed on the menu as well. My steak was cooked as requested. Clearly this is a local favorite and heavily supported. Reservations are recommended for sure.

I so rarely get to Greendale (honestly, can't say that I had ever been to anywhere in the village besides the mall) and I liked that we could make a reservation, making it a nice change of pace. The decor is lovely, very Art Deco, a nod to Eleanor Roosevelt, the namesake of the restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the interior was given that the exterior is essentially a strip mall. What's that old saying about books and their covers? Service was great, both attentive and timely, and everyone very much enjoyed their food. Monte Cristo is one of my favorites and this one was done very well. My coffee was also good and she kept it coming, which I also appreciated. Really the only sour note in the entire experience was being asked to vacate the table. While it was not handled terribly poorly, I would have recommended they offer us something to shift to the bar to not end the meal on a less than positive note, but that's just me.

We went on a Thursday night and still needed to wait 40 minutes for a table. I didn't expect that since this place is a bit off the main corridor. I had been here several times, but my last visit was probably 8-10 years ago. I always forget about it since, like I said, it's off the Hales Corners corridor of Hwy 100, and a little too far east on Janesville Rd from main Muskego corridor. The place hasn't changed a bit on the inside. Still a semi-formal interior with plenty of seating in both the dining room and bar area. It can be a little loud when full, and having a conversation with my husband was quite difficult. That's a pretty typical experience in these older buildings though. Just something to keep in mind if you're looking for a quiet dinner location. I ordered salmon, my husband ordered a steak. We both had soup as a starter along with a relish tray and bread - both of which seem to be unlimited. I thought my salmon was cooked perfectly, though my mashed potatoes were watery tasting. My husband thought the same of his steak and potatoes. Not the worst thing in the world, but mashed potatoes are not hard to do properly so I was a little disappointed in that. Would I come here again? Probably. Our two dinners were more than $80 before tip, so it was an expensive night out. It's not a place we would add to our normal rotation, but it's a decent special occasion spot.
