Been here several times. It was always been an excellent experience. This restaurant has excellent food, service, and atmosphere, but it's not stuffy. Don't let the white jackets on the servers fool you, they are relaxed and personable. It's a supper club. They may not have the most extensive menu, but I don't know of anyone who has ever had a issue with what they ordered. Normally, I'm the person who goes out to try something different. JG's is an exception that this rule. I love lamb, especially lamb chops when they are prepared properly. I have always been satisfied with the lamb chops. Simply the best. Tonight we came with another couple, who were celebrating a birthday. They are members of JGs loyalty club. At our table, they had left a handwritten card with birthday greeting. They were also entitled to a discount. We have had this server before, and have always impressed with the professionalism, and helpfulness. After ordering a round of drinks, with a couple of excellent old fashioned, we were ready to place our food order. Of course I got the Lamb Chops, and the others ordered, Chicken Piccata, Steak Diane, and Bacon Wrapped Scallops. While we waited, there was bread and small tray of crackers and spreads (I do wish they served an actual relish tray). Didn't take that long for the food. It was all hot, flavorful and good portions. My Lamb Chops were a perfect medium rare. The sides were also sufficiently hot, which was an improvement over our last visit. All the other entrees were excellent. And everyone had some leftovers to take home. For dessert the birthday boy got a free Schaum Torte. We added to that with a Brandy Alexander, which was hand mixed and not overblended. And a Creme Brulee, freshly torted so that caramel with dry and brittle, not soft and tacky. A great way to end a superb meal. Definitely a place that we look forward to returning too! read more

So we had a couple gift cards to use at a Bartolotta restaurant and decided to give Joey Gerard's a try as I have always loved the Northwoods Super Club vibe Joey's definitely has that going for it,but in a slightly upscale way.The waitstaff wears White jackets and tie, pretty spiffy.Our waitress was Michelle,she was very friendly,and very attentive in making sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal.She started us off with cocktails and a simple tray of cheese and crackers and warm bread which were very nice.We decided to go simple and just ordered their burger and fries,which were excellent.Both burgers were done to perfection and thick and juicy to boot.The menu has a good selection of different steaks, seafood options,and chicken dishes,so there should be something to appeal to most.Joey Gerard's would save you a trip up north since it's right in our own backyard! Joey Gerard's in the Greendale village is an absolute gem. I've been here numerous times but only recently discovered their happy hours and I'm not sure there is a better value in the area. They have some wine and cocktail specials but I look forward to the food. Steak bites with onion strings, relish tray, charcuterie and prime rib slices are just some of the items you can enjoy. I personally love the steak bites and prime rib sliders. The meat is always tender and has great flavor, in part, due to their famous Josper oven. The portions are large, so you could make a dinner out of splitting a few with your friends or family. One tip is to order your hot items a few minutes a part if you don't want them to all show up at the same time. Otherwise you may feel rushed enjoying everything while it's warm. read more

What a great experience from beginning to end! Relaxing atmosphere and pace of the awesome dining experience and team. Love how they change tablecloth for each dining! The bread basket with port cheese is super fresh and tasty but one piece per person was too small of a serving when it's so good! I guess I could have asked for more but did not. The rack of ribs were enough for 1/2 to take home and had the perfect amount of sauce. I didn't want the fries so asked for baked potato and was charged $6 which I guess I should have asked to wrap the fries. Noticed the split grasshoppers at another table which is a great size but can only get it as a split unfortunately. Charred Brussel sprouts hit the spot as another great accompaniment for the ribs and not the coleslaw included in my opinion. The Schaum Torte is like no other! A supper club atmosphere with low lighting and a choice of a table or cozy booth. Frank Sinatra and other music from that era playing. Our server, Michelle was very friendly and on top of everything from taking our orders, refilling our water and just checking in to see how we were doing. Since my husband and I are not big steak or seafood people and we had gift cards to use we both ordered burgers with fries. The meal started with bread sticks, crackers, port wine cheese and butter and we also received 2 warm buns. All very delicious. Our burgers were just how we asked, mine well done and my husband's medium rare. The burger had tomato, lettuce, onion, cheese and a garlic aoili sauce which I had on the side. A good size burger and plenty of fries. The fries were crispy and delicious and the burger was also. I was only able to eat half the burger and a few fries before I was full so loved bringing leftovers home. All in all a good meal and experience. read more

Dinners here are always amazing but the happy hour is hands down the best in the city! Every time I've come to Joey Gerard's for happy hour they end up packed so many others are also taking advantage of the great value. The staff here is also very friendly and still checks in just enough, even with a full bar area! To start, the happy hour appetizer options will satisfy every craving, from cheese curds to charcuterie or relish trays to the best prime rib sandwiches and onion strings! The prices are very reasonable and a 2-3 choices paired with a happy hour beverage (today it was a great $7 glass of wine), you have a truly phenomenal dinner (at least for my appetite). An extra nice touch is the bread basket which includes breadsticks and spread cheese for some of the supper club experience. I always leave Joey Gerard's feeling very satisfied, full and like every bite was perfectly prepared, whether it's dinner or happy hour. Went on a quieter Friday night and had a great time! We usually come here to celebrate special occasions, but a regular date night was just as lovely! We had 2 servers, a young man and a woman named Kim and they were both great! We tried some new dishes this time: clam chowder, crab artichoke dip, and shrimp pasta. All were amazing. One tiny suggestion. I really love the cheese spread. The bread was perfect but the packaged breadsticks were stale. No big deal, but this place is so good that I know tiny details matter to them. Tonight my wife and I had a wonderful experience at Joey Gerard's. We were celebrating my birthday and everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until we walked out the door. Upon entering we were confronted with a classic steak house bar staffed by two really good bartenders. The hostess was gracious and accommodating and showed us to our booth after a drink at the bar. Our waitress Kim could not have been better. Efficient, friendly and genuinely excited about the selections on the menu, she was great. Lovely Bartolotta Supper Club located in the heart of Greendale. As with all of their establishments, service is top notch. Complimentary bread, crackers, & cheese spread was a nice start. I've been going to Joey Gerard's for years, like the ambience, the service is usually good and the food has typically been above average. Unfortunately, last night I got the ribs (as I usually do) and they were bland and tough! Seems as though the price has gone up significantly and the quality has gone down:( I realize at a Bartolotta restaurant you'll pay more for a decent entree, but $35 for bland, tough ribs is asking a lot. Not to mention $14 for a Jack n Coke, $20 for artichoke dip and $14 for a piece of cheesecake! Sorry JG's, I may have to find a different place for ribs! read more

Good experience at JG, but recommend a few changes French onion soup was pure onion and barely any broth. Would recommend less onion and more broth. Steak was fine. The cheese curds were light and flavorful, but was a very small portion. The bacon wrapped scallops were salty, and the brussels sprouts were underseasoned, but the red potatoes were delicious. Let me preface this review with the fact that we came with a party of 10 people for a birthday celebration. Upon arrival, we immediately got drinks at the bar. I really enjoyed their brut rose. ($9 / glass ) when we were sat at our table, our waitress came over about 5 minutes later to get more drink orders. She didn't come back for about a half an hour and when she came back she asked about appetizers. She never asked if we were ready to order and walked away. She finally came back 15 minutes later and took our order. One hour and 20 minutes later our food finally arrived. I'm sorry, but I should not have to wait that long for a steak at a fancy supper club. Then when we got our food every single persons order was cold. Our food must have been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. The mashed potatoes were able to be picked up in their entirety as a big clump. We complained to the waitress and she went and got people new sides. I asked for her to heat up my steak, I'm not going to eat a cold steak. The general manager then tried to give us dessert to make up for the horrible experience, but we all declined since we had been there going on 3 hours and just wanted to go home. read more

I recently visited with family and friends from out of town and decided to try this place since it's part of the Bartolotta's family - I hadn't realized there was a location in this area! The atmosphere was pleasant, and our waitress was friendly. The food quality was similar to their other restaurants, consistently good. We started with the crab artichoke dip, and I got to try a piece of my cousin's steak, which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I opted for the Pork Schnitzel Sandwich, which was tasty - paired with a bit of Tabasco, it made for a perfect sandwich. We also tried the crème brûlée, which was excellent. When you read the yelp reviews, it's sort of wild how inconsistent some of these are. They swing from one to the next and everything in between. After going there so often, it is that way. I really enjoy the place because when you find some incredible staff, stick with them as much as possible because they'll provide you with the best possible experience. I love that they go above and beyond to provide excellent experiences, and I feel they deserve the tips they earn, no doubt. The food has been hit or miss, and I don't know why it's like that, but it is. I've had stuff that has been stellar, only to come another time and find it to be completely opposite. The prices charged make it a real problem, given that it's not a "drop in the bucket" when it comes to paying the bill and then not walking away with 100% satisfaction. Even if a bill is corrected, it sort of defeats the purpose of going to a nice supper club. I was surprised a few times ago when I asked for extra ketchup and tartar sauce and was charged extra for it. C'mon, you guys, seriously. You bring out the sauces in a barely half-filled container - then I ask for extra and am charged for it. I find stuff like that to be eye-rolling. We're talkin' ketchup and tartar sauce here... Coming back from COVID stopped the happy hour menu for quite some time. Okay, it's back, but certainly not as happy. There are fewer options, and you guys could stand to make some changes to it, for certain. The ambiance is quite nice, well-kept with the seasons, and always tidy and neat. The noise levels are always acceptable and energetic. It's great looking around the room and seeing people having a great time and having great conversations. Rarely do I observe people sitting in silence. I'm going with four stars here because, cumulatively, it's what it would amount to with the experiences, but it's quite close to being three. The feedback has been given to employees, so this isn't anything new. I would hope that the owners start looking at making some long-overdue changes and listening to feedback from customers as well as their employees. This was our second time back to Joey Gerard's because the first time we went it was so excellent, and this time did not disappoint! His steak and my scallops and salmon were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The scallops come with a fried risotto, which is incredible. The sweet potatoes were a special side for the night. I am shocked to see only a 3.5 rating for this place! I visited recently for the 2nd time to celebrate my husband's new promotion. Honestly I feel like this is one of the only spots you can trust the service is going to be good, which is why I selected it for our celebration. Our last visit here really impressed us with the level of service and the second visit was the same. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive and made the night feel special. Lately with the decline in service at other restaurants it's refreshing to have somewhere you know you can trust, especially for occasions. The food also doesn't disappoint. My husband went for the lamb and I opted for the salmon - both delicious. We came here for a birthday dinner. We had a lovely time but probably won't be back. The Josper oven lends too different of a taste that all of our party disliked. We ordered a few apps and soup but we didn't have enough time to eat them before our dinners came out. The table space was limited so it was a little cramped. However, our servers helped clear away the unnecessary items as much as they could. A few members in our party upgraded for the butternut squash as their vegetable side, but no one mentioned that it was served with nuts. Someone at our table has a nut allergy so they weren't able to eat their side. Most didn't finish their steaks due to that flavor from the oven. It's definitely an acquired taste. The servers and atmosphere are great, but we just aren't jazzed with the food at this price point. I would rather try another Bartolotta or other supper club in the area. read more

I went here on 01/03/2026 for a birthday celebration (two of us had a birthday) From the moment we walked in the door the service/staff were so accommodating and welcoming. Our server, Michelle was patient with us as we had questions about some items on the menu. I'm not a huge steak eater, so Michelle recommended the double lamb chops. I had a Cabernet wine sauce with the lamb chops, a bowl of French onion soup, a baked potato and roasted cauliflower. The other birthday girl had a New York strip steak, French onion soup, garlic mashed potatoes and the roasted cauliflower. Her husband had the double lamb chops and French fries. My husband had the French onion soup, ribeye steak, baked potato and roasted button mushrooms. I didn't get to try the complimentary cheese, cracker and breadstick platter that Michelle brought to the table because the others gobbled most of it up! Needless to say, we all enjoyed the meal and have absolutely no complaints about the food, service or atmosphere!! I had an Old fashioned that was made to perfection and my daughter had a lemon drop martini that was so good (I had to take a sip) The guys do not drink so they had water. For an extremely busy restaurant, it was quiet and the staff works as a team. We will definitely return to Joey Gerard's in the future. The food, the cocktails, the service, and the atmosphere. Exquisite! I appreciate that Bartolotta's continues following safety guidelines. I was glad to see that my server had her face mask on the entire time. And to see her name on it just makes it such a nice touch! That's attention to detail at its best. I dined with my partner and two friends this evening. Joey Gerard's always shows up on OpenTable and we wanted to try something new. This was my second experience at a Bartolotta restaurant, the first being Mr. B's in Mequon. That experience wasn't any better, which is disappointing because you would think they are "gods gift of creation" in Milwaukee. We met our friends 30 minutes before our reservation for a drink in the bar area. It took almost 20 minutes to be acknowledged, but eventually got drinks- and tried to promptly close the tab to be ready for our reservation. Let me tell you two positives of our experience: Brittany was our server. She was awesome, super efficient, knowledgeable, prompt, etc. Everything you would want in a server. The hostesses were also super friendly, courteous, etc. Our drinks were tasty! My steak was awful, as was my partners. I could make better at home- and an Outback chain restaurant is 300% better. I had a strip, ordered medium, that was served well done- and had 0% flavor- pretty sad for a $62 steak. My partner had a filet, that needed to be doused in the bernais sauce. Our friends had the scallops and the tenderloin sandwich. Those were excellent, but aren't you a steakhouse? After dinner, we elected to close our tab and go back to the bar area for an ice cream drink. No dice. Three of four people on our party hit the bathroom, and in this time- no server. My friend even said hi to the bartender, got side eye, and never offered a drink. We left. We went to the wine bar across the street. Overall, for a $400 meal- it was a ripoff. I wouldn't recommend and that's sad. I hate to be this critical, but it was as if nobody cared at all. Lackluster leadership? Maybe the brand name has let the Bartolotta name get to their head and has lost focus. In any event, for the cost- 5'O Clock steakhouse is your best bet. For 66% less cost, you'll be happier at a Outback or Texas Roadhouse. read more

Regrettably, these positive moments were overshadowed by the lackluster quality of our main courses. The steaks failed to live up to expectations, lacking flavor and proper preparation. My medium-ordered strip arrived well done, an egregious misstep for a $62 steak. Overall, the steak was poorly (if at all) seasoned and was rather boring. The best item on my plate was the potatoes, which were perfectly fluffy and seasoned to taste. It was disheartening to realize that a mainstream chain could outshine the culinary offering at a well known restaurant. In contrast, our friends' choices--the scallops and pork chop sandwich--stood out with their excellence. However, it raised eyebrows that non-steak options outperformed the restaurant's supposed specialty. (Did I mention it was underwhelming?) Opting to extend the evening with a sweet touch, we decided to close our tab and return to the bar area for an ice cream drink. Unfortunately, this plan hit a snag. As three out of four of us visited the restroom, not a single server attended to our needs. A friendly greeting to the bartender went unnoticed, leaving us with no choice but to abandon the idea and head to a wine bar across the street. The final blow came when reflecting on the substantial $400 bill for our meal, leaving us with a sense of having been shortchanged. It's disheartening to be this critical, but the lack of care in the service and overall experience was palpable. The Bartolotta name in MKE was know for excellence, a place you wanted to bring visitors, and a delicious experience. If so, it's fallen far from where it once stood as a renowned restaurant group of the area. For those seeking a more gratifying dining experience at a fraction of the cost, my recommendation veers towards 5'O Clock Steakhouse or Carnivore. Both have much better selections of steak, better seasoned meat, and equally as good (if not better) dining experiences. I've always wanted to try Bacchus...but after another let down experience, I will spend my money on much more memorable dining experiences in the city. read more

Hands down the best Restaurant in Greendale, the Franklin and Hales Corners area. We go here often when we want an incredible meal. The food is amazing every time. It Truly lives up to the bartolotta restaurant name. The twin lobster tails were perfect. So perfectly sweet and delicious, you almost don't even need butter. So sweet. The scallops are also an incredible way to complement a steak that is 10 out of 10! I love the NY strip every time. The Jospeh grill puts an incredible crust on any steak. I highly recommend going to Joeys for a great steak and when you are celebrating a special occasion. Scott is the best bar tender anywhere. An incredible 10/10 experience. read more

We came here for our Anniversary. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. She explained the menu clearly. My husband ordered the ribeye (60.00) and I ordered the Chicken Madeira (29.95) My husbands steak was charred to the point of being bitter. He did not care for it. My chicken was tasty but the Grilled Gulf Shrimp (12.95) I ordered on the side was also charred and did not taste good at all. I had my husband try one and he thought they tasted awful. We were disappointed that we would have to pay a separate charge (10.50^) for a salad with dinner. The waitress did bring us a Schaum Torte with a candle for our Anniversary.
