Lively, intimate jazz bar with excellent live music. We've been wanting to visit Jazzy Wishbone for awhile - always passing by it to go to Dija Mara and seeing how much fun everyone was having. We finally stopped in last night. The place is very narrow and continues far into a back patio. In the "middle" of the venue is a small bar where you can order drinks, but there is also table service with a full food and drink menu. (I did not know they served food!) A $5 service charge is added to the bill as a cover for the band, which I thought was reasonable. The live band was extremely talented and it was a blast to be so close to the performers. The service was also quite good. We had a couple servers go out of their way to accommodate us. Overall, a wonderful experience that we hope to have again very soon! read more

Super small, slow service, limited menu. I enjoyed the live singer but really would hate to be in the place when it was crowded. Go here if you love live music and don't mind feeling like a sardine. Wouldn't recommend for a nice dinner. read more

Spotted this bar randomly while on our way to have a date night. We decided to turn back around and go in and we were so glad we did! The bar staff were all so friendly and welcoming. And the live music was the cherry on top! We did order wings that came with a side of Mac n cheese pasta, so good!! Highly recommend. read more

So went to this place on a Friday, very small, very crowded, bar way in the back. If you love live music and don't mind standing, it's a cool place. I'd love to see this relocate to a bigger venue. Not good for kids, or dogs. read more

The ambiance and music is amazing. The service and drinks are concerning. I've come to this bar several times and I'm certain they sell well cocktails while charging for premium. The first time I went here I noticed that the bartender poured my premium gin from a house gin bottle. I didn't say anything but made it a note to pay attention the next time. I went here on another occasion and requested a premium alcohol cocktail. I noticed the bartender turned her back to me to make the drink, and wasn't pouring from the bottle of premium gin as requested. I told her that I had asked for premium gin. She replied that it was indeed the gin I ordered but poured from another bottle with a different brand on it. She said this was the other bartender playing a trick on her. I'm not buying it. Seems really sketch and most likely illegal. Other than being ripped off, the place is great! read more

Fun little place to watch some live music, nothing special about the drinks or food...my chorizo quesadilla was so thin I could not tell if there was anything at all on it. My wife and niece did not like their drinks either...overall had fun with the music but would not go back. read more

Beware if you come here you will pay 5 dollars per person for a "cover charge" even though there was no mention from the waitress nor is there any sign advising of this. The vibe and the band were cool but for the less than mediocre drinks and service, on top of not being informed that 10 extra dollars would be added to the tab, I would definitely not recommend. And last I checked a "cover charge" is charged at the door before entry, they'd be better off renaming this an "after dinner just for s**** and giggles" charge. read more

We didn't even know they had food. We were never offered a menu. We came for the music, which was very nice. (Maybe look for another vocalist? but the music was great.) I was stoked for a new Oceanside bar but was sadly disappointed when I was double charged for a drink after telling the bartender that I didn't care for it. When I brought it up to the manager he continued to say I wasn't charged for it when I had the receipt and he refused to give us the itemized receipt for the second charge. We came for comedy night and dinner. Entrance fee was $10. Comedy was ok. Nothing exciting. There was a lot of "I just wrote this joke this morning so trying it out for the first time now" which is typical of amateur comedians. A lot of it fell flat. The venue is tiny. Definitely cramped with the tables and chairs and the Fire Marshal would not be ok with their set up. Barely any room to walk. Def not room for a wheelchair. I had a drink dropped on me while sitting at dinner by someone who was standing behind me. Not pleased. Their dinner menu is lacking. $14 for a plant based meatball dish that was mostly rice. Very bland. The pasta and shrimp was basically the same. I don't think we will be back. Nothing special about this place. read more

Love this new place in Oceanside! Had some beer and wine and listened to a saxophone and flute player on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Ordered a snack of "deli naan" that was quite tasty too. The owners were super chill and nice folks. Really glad to see this place open up, and now that things are starting to get back to normal, we will be supporting them often when we want some live music and drinks. read more

I hesitate to write a review bc I want to frequent this place and don't want it to get too crowded! Made a reservation by calling the number on the website. Super easy. Glad we made a reservation bc the front room (nearest the music) is small and intimate. Exactly like you want a live jazz venue to be! The music (pocket Sized Buddha) was funk/jazz and was incredible! The place was rocking! No one could sit still. I had a nice glass of wine, hubby ordered a beer. I'm vegan and was delighted that they had several (three I think) vegan dishes available! Not just lettuce I ordered a vegan sausage flatbread and it was very tasty! I was really impressed. Smallish, personal size which was great bc I was able to just finish it and not have to ask for something to take home leftovers. Hubby had the salmon and rice and said it was very good. So overall I was highly impressed with the atmosphere, the food, and the music. If you want a little bit of a quieter area to talk with a friend, you could sit by the bar in the back. The whole place has a small and intimate feel which I loved. I never went out the back to check out the outside patio area. The owner, Tim, who I spoke with on the phone making the reservations, was very nice and helpful. He ran the entire joint and did a great job we were impressed.
