Every time we go we are always happy with our experience but tonight our sever Brianna genuinely blew it out of the park. Her service was INCREDIBLE. I will not return to this restaurant after the way management handled its own mistake. On 09/08/2026 At the Univesirty Locatiion in Charlotte, my friend and I ordered the Hungry Feast with different sauces. I added broccoli, while he ordered rice. The restaurant mixed up our bags and placed my broccoli in his seafood bag. Once we realized what happened, we switched the bags and informed our server, expecting them to simply replace my broccoli. Instead, the manager came to our table and made my friend dig through his food and remove every piece of broccoli while she stood over him watching. She even pointed out that he had missed one, as if we were trying to steal a few pieces of broccoli. This went on for several uncomfortable minutes. It was humiliating, unsanitary, and completely unnecessary, especially since the restaurant made the mistake. A simple apology and replacement side would have resolved everything. I ultimately told them to remove the broccoli from the bill because I no longer wanted it. The issue was never the broccoli. It was the manager's tacky, classless, and disrespectful treatment of paying customers. That experience ruined our meal, and I will never patronize this location again. read more

I've seen advertisements for quite a few restaurants lately that offer seafood boils and fried seafood. All of those spots look appetizing, but I decided to try the Juicy Crab first. The restaurant is very spacious, laidback, but not overly casual. It's a good size for solo or group dining. Jhalen was my server and not only was he attentive and friendly, he was also very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the restaurant's events. He even suggested for me to try the Juicy Rum Punch since I like fruity cocktails, which turned out to be one of the best drinks I've had this year. I also had the Peachy Sunrise, which was enjoyable. I tried several menu items like the fried calamari, which was both crispy and chewy. I definitely loved the taste, which was even better when I dipped it in the restaurant's Boom Boom sauce. The sauce is like Bang Bang sauce, but slightly spicier with a kick of sweetness. The steamed oysters were packed with flavor, but were a bit too salty for me. I definitely would get the oysters again as it may not be as salty on another visit cause the flavor was there. Catfish is my favorite fish so if I ever see it on a menu, I'm going to get it, which is why I tried the fried catfish basket. I loved the crispiness, the seasoning and the size of the fillets as well as the Cajun fries I paired it with. However, the entrée with the best seasoning was the Combo 10 seafood boil. I got the Juicy Special seasoning which is a combination of Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper, and garlic butter. The flavor profile was immaculate. We came here yesterday for New Year Eve! I felt fortunate that I found parking right in the front of the restaurant. We entered and was seated quickly. The atmosphere was very joyous, with the loud music playing from the external speakers. Drinks were flowing very freely. This was really a good choice to come to for New Year's Eve. On 2/24/2026 we decided to dine in at this location. The customer service was great from the time we entered the building. But them restrooms have a horrible smell. It smells like the sewer is backed up. After speaking with a manager, he did apologize for the horrible odor and stated that they trying to fix the issue. Went here on lunch break with full intention of trying seafood, but I love me some chicken wings so when I saw that you can get the wings in their signature juicy sauce I couldn't pass it up. They came out crispy and fried to perfection, but the sauce is soooooo salty! The flavor has potential but I just couldn't get pass the massive sodium intake, didn't take long for me to end up having a headache later on. Next time I think I'll stick with a regular flavored wing, because they were cooked to perfection can't deny that. I recently tried The Juicy Crab and everything was wonderful. I dined in with a group of friends and felt very safe. We had very attentive service, the restaurant was clean, observed COVID safety precautions, and the food was delicious. I had the Hungry Feast and it's a lot of food! You get a well-seasoned cluster of snow crab legs, 1/2 lb of sausage, 1/2 lb of shrimp, 3 eggs, 1 corn and 1 potato. I'm tempted to go back as I type this! You're likely to have some food to take home and they'd make great leftovers heated in the oven, of course. I am new to the area and I am trying out all seafood places. I'll put out my dislikes. I'm regards to the facility and the CDC guidelines for Covid - 19 the line for take out could be better managed/organized. We have to be six feet apart and it is not a six foot distance from the bar, so I feel that they shouldn't have people sitting at the bar especially with not everyone being masked in the restaurant. Not all employees are wearing masks and masks aren't heavily enforced. The line for to go orders is not strict on the six ft apart rule (it's the customers who isn't following it but the staff should enforce it). As far as food goes. It's delicious!! The sauce is bomb and I always order (I've been twice) extra spicy and I love it. Only down part about the sauce is it's extremely oily for my liking. Good seafood. It's one of my favorite spots so far. Prices are expensive I've never paid $20 for a pound of shrimp without heads before. The wait was long on the weekends so I do suggest trying it out on a weekday & they are allowing people to dine in! read more

I ordered from this location while thinking I was ordering from another location. In any case, the food was ready upon arrival. By the time I returned home, it was not as hot as I would have preferred but it tasted as good as I expected. My go-to favorite is The seafood boil with mussels, heads-off shrimp, and sausage. The mussels were larger that usual and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I must remember to order extra corn on the cob as it delights my senses. I ordered dessert, red velvet cake, that was the perfect end to a great meal. We were in and out for the takeout order with no issues. I'm honestly surprised I didn't catch COVID-19 while visiting this location over the weekend. Of course, The Juicy Crab is well known and extremely popular in the Atlanta area. While visiting Charlotte over the weekend, I decided to visit with a few family members. The wait was about an hour and a half. Cons Face masks/coverings were not mandatory for patrons - I noticed a few adults without masks or the coverings were taken off after entering, but not while eating or drinking. The reservation.check-in process should have been coordinated in a manner that supported social distancing guidelines. There was an excessive amount of patrons in the lobby and door areas. The hostess did not take numbers and skipped those who decided to wait outside or in their cars. I noticed several employees, including my waitress, had facemasks that were not worn properly. For example, my waitress took my order with her mask over her chin, exposing her nose and mouth. She greeted other customers and managed other tables in such a manner. Within this year, Charlotte has seen an influx of crab broil restaurants. My first experience at these type of restaurants was in Jacksonville, FL at The Juicy Crab. It was phenomenal. When I heard one was being built in Clt, I HAD to try it. Sadly, it does not meet the same taste and price expectations as their JAX counterpart restaurant. First, I want to emphasize the phenomenal customer service. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm welcome and our waitress did an excellent job of serving us. Great job there. I ordered the steam oysters (juicy special, mild). They were surprisingly plump and seasoned very well! I definitely recommend ordering these! I am not one to shy away from expensive priced foods, but I was taken back by how they priced by the cluster and not by the weight like their competitors (& JAX location). I ordered two clusters, shrimp (no head), and sausage. The seasoning did not stick on the seafood at all. Seemed as though they didn't let the seasoning/sauce broil/marinate long enough. My waitress's name was Briana (I think she was also the bartender) and she was extremely helpful with her recommendations on the menu. I got the rum punch to drink and I got 1 pound of crab legs that came with corn on the cob and potatoes. I got the mild juicy special sauce on the crab legs. First of all, that sauce is amazing and they need to sell it in stores! The food was fresh and made to order. The drink was okay but too sweet. They give you a bib and plastic gloves so you won't get messy eating. Overall, If you're looking for a good seafood boil I would definitely recommend Juicy Crab. Someone recently recommended The Juicy Crab to me because they knew I love the classic Hot and Juicy chain. I've been looking for something similar to Hot and Juicy since I moved to Charlotte. It looks like I might have found it! The restaurant was basically empty for a late weekday afternoon. I waited for 15 minutes at my table before a server finally came and took my drink order. He said I wasn't in his section but he would take care of me because no one else was. (I thought it was a little weird but hey I was happy to finally have some service.) He ended up being a wonderful server and really made my experience pleasant. His name was Paul H and I highly recommend him. I ordered the half pound of headless shrimp in the Juicy Special medium because he warned that their levels are kind of spicy. It is spicy and tasted more like a hot but that's what I wanted so I was ok with it. I definitely think the servers should be warning people how spicy their food is and I thank Paul H for doing that for me. I don't think I would have been able to tolerate the spice level of hot. The shrimp came out fast. It included two small potatoes and small piece of corn. The corn soaked in the hot sauce is my favorite. It's so juicy when you bite into it it gets all over your face. My corn had soaked up so much hot sauce it made my eyes water after biting into it. (That's the way I like it!) It was delicious. I ordered the Cajun fries so I would have something to cool my palette off with and to dip in the extra hot sauce. I really enjoyed my visit here except for the rocky start. My friends & I went to this exact location! It has an amazing atmosphere. Music is played the entire time you're eating. Anyone celebrating a birthday will receive a "happy birthday" song as well as a sweet treat as dessert if anyone requests! Our waiter Paul-Michael(yes you read it write) was very professional. He took our orders and delivered in total satisfactory. We had no issues Aaron all and he constantly came over to check on us. The food was very fresh and hot.
