    1/2 Shrimp (No Head)
    Alex L.

Positive: food was ready quickly Con: shrimp was unclean (not deveined) and food was cold. I called to report this soon as I opened food at home, was told I had to contact door dash for refund. I completed the questionnaire but no call back or refund. I called again today and was told to google the DoorDash number and call them to resolve the matter. I placed the order through their website, not through DoorDash as I went to pick the order up. Either way both times that I have called trying to peacefully resolve this matter, I have not been given a resolution nor any true assistance with this.

The service was okay. There was only one server for a Tuesday dinner. So she did okay but was not tremendously attentive. The food was good and flavorful however, the server shell fish with only plastic forks. You have to request a cracker for your crabs and they do not have metal utensils even if you ask. So half of your meal is left in the shell. The offered tasty dessert choices. The hip hop music was loud so a challenge to have a conversation. The tables we clean and comfortable.

When we arrived at 12 PM the restaurant had a line with about six people. The floors were still being cleaned. I was kinda annoyed but happy to know that the restaurant is keeping everything clean and sanitized. Once we were seated the waitress came by to take our order. I ordered a seafood boil with crab legs, black muscles and shrimp and my daughter ordered a seafood boil with shrimp and crawfish with a side of white rice. The food came out in a decent amount of time and it was delicious. I hadn't eaten at this Juicy Crab before just the ones down in Atlanta. Although, we started off Rough everything went well. Our waitress name is Imani. She was attentive. We received 20% off and I didn't mention that I am a Yelpie! The server mentioned that they have karaoke on Thursday night, so I will try to make it back on Thursday.

The service is always good. The food comes out fast and is always hot. It's a typical crab boil place but the food is superb! $$$/$$$$$

We came here yesterday for New Year Eve! I felt fortunate that I found parking right in the front of the restaurant. We entered and was seated quickly. The atmosphere was very joyous, with the loud music playing from the external speakers. Drinks were flowing very freely. This was really a good choice to come to for New Year's Eve. We ordered two clusters of crab legs and was very glad when they came. It was good and juicy as we expected. He had a wonderful time and plan to come back later for 2025.

Never realized there was a seafood restaurant in this plaza til tonight and I'm glad I gave it a try. It wasn't crowded so that was a plus but as we were leaving more people were coming in. I ordered #8 which was dungeon crab, headless shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausages and eggs in medium juicy special sauce and it was delicious. Also had the green tea shot and it was delicious. The ambience was cute, looks like the inside of a fisherman's boat, I definitely would recommend and will be back again. Also they have Karaoke on certain days

On 4/17/2025 me and my daughter came to patronize this location. The server Hennessy treat us less than poorly!!! We were not checked on and when we asked for things there was a more than extended wait. My daughter asked for a Togo cup and Hennessy asked what's the purpose of a Togo cup because we asked for it, as the customer do we need to give a reason. She never came back to check on us and when I asked for Togo bags for the leftover food she proceeded to tell me she would bring them when my daughter came back from the bathroom but the check was on the table already. We have been patronizing Juciy crab at other locations in different states before they came to Charlotte North Carolina. This behavior is off putting, hurtful and super disappointing. We left and when I thought about it the treatment was horrible so I wanted to let corporate know. I went back inside and asked for corporate's number and the hostess with the natural fire red hair told me there was no corporate number. I asked for the owner and I was met with disrespect. The same server Hennessy walked past me almost shoulder bumping smiling. She then proceeded to ask my daughter did she have something to say to her. The owner also said that my daughter was my son which was not true at all!!! He did not take anything that I said seriously. I stead he threatened to make a complaint against me. This is not how a business should be run EVER!!! This location is a threat to the juicy crab name. No one spends their money to be treated poorly.I have videos to post the owner and his responses to my complaints but google does not allow videos. I will be sending to the juicy crab corporate which does exist besides what the staff and owner said. And I gave 1 star because if the service which he did t care about because he continued to ask me about how my food was outside of the service as if service does not matter.

Went here on lunch break with full intention of trying seafood, but I love me some chicken wings so when I saw that you can get the wings in their signature juicy sauce I couldn't pass it up. They came out crispy and fried to perfection, but the sauce is soooooo salty! The flavor has potential but I just couldn't get pass the massive sodium intake, didn't take long for me to end up having a headache later on. Next time I think I'll stick with a regular flavored wing, because they were cooked to perfection can't deny that. Service was great as well, I didn't catch my waitress name, she was running the bar but she was so friendly, a complete joy.

I recently tried The Juicy Crab and everything was wonderful. I dined in with a group of friends and felt very safe. We had very attentive service, the restaurant was clean, observed COVID safety precautions, and the food was delicious. I had the Hungry Feast and it's a lot of food! You get a well-seasoned cluster of snow crab legs, 1/2 lb of sausage, 1/2 lb of shrimp, 3 eggs, 1 corn and 1 potato. I'm tempted to go back as I type this! You're likely to have some food to take home and they'd make great leftovers heated in the oven, of course. They also have great sauces, sides (I recommend the Cajun fries) drinks (get a Juicy margarita) and appetizers (definitely get the crispy, yummy calamari). I can't wait to go back!

Two pounds of shrimp extra spicy. It comes with a corn and potato each pound

I am new to the area and I am trying out all seafood places. I'll put out my dislikes. I'm regards to the facility and the CDC guidelines for Covid - 19 the line for take out could be better managed/organized. We have to be six feet apart and it is not a six foot distance from the bar, so I feel that they shouldn't have people sitting at the bar especially with not everyone being masked in the restaurant. Not all employees are wearing masks and masks aren't heavily enforced. The line for to go orders is not strict on the six ft apart rule (it's the customers who isn't following it but the staff should enforce it). As far as food goes. It's delicious!! The sauce is bomb and I always order (I've been twice) extra spicy and I love it. Only down part about the sauce is it's extremely oily for my liking. Good seafood. It's one of my favorite spots so far. Prices are expensive I've never paid $20 for a pound of shrimp without heads before. The wait was long on the weekends so I do suggest trying it out on a weekday & they are allowing people to dine in!

Superb Drinks !!! Menu is straightforward

I stopped in here on a Friday afternoon to grab a quick bite. Upon entrance, I really liked the paintings and other decorations spread throughout the dining room. The kitchen is visible as well which makes for a more immersive dining experience. The menu seemed to have plenty of seafood but I figured I'd opt for their special, a Blackened Red Snapper with Bacon Jalapeño Cream Sauce. It came with two sides so I decided to try out their okra and collard greens, after a recommendation from my waiter. I typically don't order collard greens but he said they have pork and are delicious. The place wasn't too busy so food came out quickly, about 10 minutes after I ordered. The food looked decent upon first glance, but I wasn't sold just yet. After my first bite of fish, I was taken aback by the delicious flavor of their cream sauce paired with the blackened fish. It was a solid portion of fish and tasted of good quality, so it didn't stand much a chance. The sides were also just as delicious. It's hard to mess up fried okra so my expectations were met to a tee. The collard greens were actually so incredible as well. I don't really know what they're made of but I definitely will be trying it more in the future, if other places prepare it as good. They also had a house hot sauce with was more flavor than heat, but paired wonderfully with everything. The whole meal was so good so I understand why they seem to a have solid amount of regulars at this place. The staff were very kind and attentive throughout the entire meal. If you want a taste of Louisiana, this place is a solid option in Charlotte.

That said, Yard Dog is not a dog at all, but a superb little restaurant with a great menu and mouth-watering foods. Oh boy! Wife and I entered and were surprised at just how small their dining area was. Couple that with a not-so-pleasant noise level, you will have difficulty seating more than four and conversation will be tough, but not impossible. You came to eat. It is a very cozy, busy and fun place. In addition to the super menu there is a chalk board with specials. Check those out first. I spotted catch of the day, which was Red Snapper, a favorite of mine, which came with two sides ($26). When served, it was three fillets, so the whole eatable parts of the fish, topped with a Cajun spice mixture and a horseradish sauce. This is a to-die-for or last meal item. The fish was perfectly cooked and my side of collards were as mammy has done for eons: flavorful with pork and a perfect complement to my catch of the day. And the fried okra was great and I paid the $.50 for ranch dressing, as fried okra SHOULD be so complemented. Wife does not eat sea food, so she was, initially, confronted with the challenge of finding a dish without seafood in it. She did. There were a number of options, like pasta with Andouille sausage ($21) which is listed as with shrimp, but they omitted the shrimp for her. She also spied blackened meatloaf and some other items for the next visit. The place is busy and the wait staff is hustling as fast as the kitchen can get orders out. The kitchen looks so small, but they are a blur of motion cooking and plating. Kudos to the kitchen and servers. Our server was Sophie and she was excellent. There are beverages on a separate menu, mostly wine, beer and hard cider, with some non-alcohol items also available. We both had hard cider at $6 a can. Draft beer was available at $7 a glass. We will definitely return, even give lunch a try. I will most likely answer the siren call for five stars, which is certainly in the cards. See for yourselves.
