I've never had a bad meal here BUT the service is way below par. Everything takes forever. Our drink glasses are constantly empty. It shouldn't take over an hour to order and receive breakfast items. I would've understood the wait if the place was busy, but it wasn't. There was no one waiting to be seated and it was quiet enough to hear the other diners' conversations. We all enjoyed our meals. We didn't end up having soups this time but they are always a crowd pleaser so I recommend them! Their pancakes and home fries are delicious, but I disagree with getting charged extra just to have them well done instead of soggy. I know we'll be back, I just wish we served better. read more

Every year after summer camp, my I would stop in the jukebox cafe. I would always order a bowl of the incredible crab bisque. This stuff always blew my mind. Being from jersey, we have crabs aplenty. Crab bakes, crab boils, crab cakes... But for some reason, the Jukebox cafes crab bisque is a completely BETTER way to experience the delicious, rich flavor of our small crustacean friend. The rest of the menu is always good. It's solid diner food. I was never left hungry, nor unsatisfied with the tastes of any of their sandwiches, wraps, or entrees. I would, however, say that after my meal, I'm always still left wanting more crab bisque and often ask for a container of it to go. If you're takin a nice road trip through scenic pennsy, take a stop here. It will be worth it. read more

Best Coconut Creme Pie! Have been here a handful of times and have always had a great meal. The wait staff is always friendly and quick. I appreciate that they have multiple vegetarian options other than a salad. They have a large selection of smoothies, too. They also have a small fridge up front for takeout sliced desserts and their tasty soups. Just one complaint....after raving about how awesome the crab bisque is I picked up a quart to go so my boyfriend could try it. As soon as I opened the container I could tell something was different. The texture was off, there was barely and crab and it was a stark white color. It had virtually no smell. I heated it up and tasted it....tasted like nothing. Like warm milk....soooo disappointing. I'm guessing that the soup had been simmering for a while, got too thick and milk was added to thin it out??? I served it anyway, with the nice loaf of sour dough bread I got just for the soup and we couldn't even eat it. :( read more

I used to go here 2-3 times/month, simply because it was different than the other "dutch style" restaurants in the area. Fresh fruit, pumpkin pancakes, and other seasonal fare make them stand out from the local competitors. Food is on the higher side for breakfast. HOWEVER, when you arrive at a restaurant, and are not served or greeted properly, that weighs heavily on a restaurant's overall representation. While sitting at the counter, literally feet from the coffee pot, I was never asked by my feuding waitress(there were 3 quarreling) if I would like more coffee, had to ask for silverware and creamer(bowl was empty). Next week, same scenario, had to ask for silverware and for a second cup of coffee, which I actually received this week, all in the midst of them being visibly irritable and scowling. This made a few of us feel uncomfortable, ignored, and we all took note. These waitresses are literally known for their querulous attitudes and unsocial behavior, yet customers return for the food. I however, like to be acknowledged, asked how my food is, and not have to witness waitresses quarrel in front of customers. If I would decide to return, it would be for a seasonal menu item......via take-out. read more

This place is so great! The staff is friendly and attentive. I am a regular here, coming in at least once a week for the past two years. In my opinion breakfast is way better than lunch and you get more for your money (which isn't too expensive considering the size/quality of the food). My all-time favorite is the traditional eggs benny. It's the best benny I've ever had (I get eggs benedict almost everytime I go out to breakfast somewhere). They use sandwich-size Thomas' English muffin, delicious/thin Canadian bacon, eggs poached to perfection and the tastiest hollandaise ever! The holly is not overwhelmingly lemony like most. We went to breakfast yesterday. We both ordered the same thing. My husband asked for well done bacon and home fries. We didn't ask for anything else that wasn't in the description. Just well done! The items were listed as 4.99 each. When we got the bill we were charged 5.00 and 5.25! When we asked why the prices were changed, we were told that they had to charge extra for well done. This is ridiculous! She said that she was going to mention it when we asked for well done bacon and home fries but didn't! We were reading reviews and see where this isn't an isolated incident and they have had wait staff quit because of the crazy rules. I wonder if we were up charged here before? I would pay attention to my bill here! I'm not going back. There are too many places to go that have wonderful food. read more

I love this place. It is our go to for breakfast and enjoy lunch at times too. The soups and salads are great and I like that you can place half orders. I have read reviews about the service, I myself have never experienced bad service here. Sometimes the food is slower at coming out but when it does it's always piping hot and fresh. Recently the menu has changed and I like it. My belief is, a smaller menu means better quality. The only reason I gave a 4 star instead of a 5 star is the coffee. I love the food here and have never had a bad experience until now maybe it was an off day. We sat at the counter and it took them almost 15 minutes to acknowledge us. There were 5 people behind the counter who just refused to look at us during this 15 minutes. Then A women named Becky told one of the young ladies that there are drinks at the counter. She continued to ignore us for 3 more minutes went into the back without a word to us and then came out and asked us what drinks we wanted. The only light in this place was Becky who was the only person who smiled in this whole place. We are sitting here still and not one of these girls behind the counter have even spoken to us. But the guys who fixed the AC are getting a ton of attention. They are sitting next to us. Oh well we won't be back here for a while. Oh so if you called and ordered food while we were here the girl on the other end of the phone rolled her eyes at you and complained to the AC guys at the counter about you after she hung up the phone. I don't believe she understands that without people ordering food that they would be out of business and out of a job! The same girl told the AC guys that they actually don't want anymore business that's it's too busy. Well her wish is granted. They won't get my business. I have been here many times before and always enjoyed it, but this time i needed to write about my experience because i could not believe it. I am a retired teacher who took one of her former students to breakfast. I ordered a 2-egg veggie omelette...No toast No potatoes and an ice tea. My student decided to order the same. It was served totally by itself on a large plate...just this little 3x4 omelette in the center of a huge plate. Odd....but we ate it and it was fine. Unfortunately our server never asked us if we even wanted a refill on our tea. But...when I got the bill ......with tax $23....for two tiny "omelette" and 2 teas. With tip...$27. Trust me...there was nothing about this breakfast worth $27. I am not sure I will ever return. People have asked why I did not question this...with a former student, i never would have made a scene. Enjoyed this Cafe the first time I ate there with a friend, so talked my husband into going for lunch. He ordered soup and a salad. I ordered a sandwich - no mayo...the waitress repeated 'no mayo'. His soup was brought out immediately. He ate it slowly, but 50 minutes passed before the rest of our order was delivered. I watched as three other tables, that were seated after us, received their food. His salad and my sandwich were finally delivered, and the dreaded mayo was on the sandwich. It took me 10 minutes to get the waitress back over. At that point, we had to go, so that was an hour of my life that I will never get back, and all I had was a 1/2 glass of water. I have been a regular customer of the Jukebox for years. The food is great, although I always get the same thing- the baked potato soup and the chicken salad club. The service however, is absolutely unacceptable- the most unfriendly and unprofessional servers- that leave you amazed they are employed and that the owners allow this kind of customer service. A week ago I came in and proceeded to order what I always do. A new server (I wish I remembered her name) responded by saying it wasn't an option on the menu and I must have meant the chicken salad sandwich. I responded by explaining the club is on the menu and I've been ordering it for years and just had the week prior from another server and got exactly what I asked for. Long story short she came out with the wrong item, I sent it back and insisted on what I had ordered, she never apologized and was annoyed that I wanted what I had asked for? Then had the audacity to tell me I placed the wrong order and kept lecturing me every time she returned to the table to make sure I order the right thing next time. I've been a server at multiple respected establishments and probably would have been fired for this. Server lesson #1: the customer is always right. And even if they're wrong, they're right anyway. And in my case I knew I was right and she was wrong so it made it so much more frustrating. Because of this experience they just lost a longtime customer. By the way, this server is not the only problem. They have a reputation for all being unfriendly and snobby. What a shame because the foods really good- I suggest getting the food to go to avoid the attitude problems of servers here because they definitely don't deserve your tip money. read more

Only negatives are that My server was a bit gossipy and inappropriate and they don't let you tip on your credit card which can't be good for the employees.
