As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a smile! It's rare to receive great service nowadays-- so definitely refreshing to see that this establishment has a positive and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant was very clean and I loved all of the space in between the seats. The kebab fries came with a good amount of meat. We ordered the lamb beef for our protein and the lamb wasn't too gamey! The meat was tender and well seasoned. The fries were crunchy and the sauces they had sealed the deal. Everything blended well together and was packed with flavor. We also got the steak chimichurri bowl. It had hummus, saffron rice, cucumbers, super greens and pickled onions. The steak was tender and the bowl was also packed with flavor. Their sauces also pair very nicely with the bowl. Every time I visit SoCal, I try to hit up The Kebab Shop because they're one of the few places that can accommodate my celiac disease. I came here on Sunday, April 19, 2026 around 4:30 PM and noticed that the tables were not bussed, there was no soap in the restroom and the sauce bar was a mess. There were at least 3 people working and there's just no excuse for there to be a mess. If there's no soap in the bathroom, which I informed the staff about, how many aren't washing their hands before going back to the kitchen? Staff was also slow when more people came in to order and were just standing alone at the register because all the staff was in the back kitchen. The food didn't even come with pickled onions on it and we had to ask. The staff used a gloved hand to reach into the pickled onions which cross contaminates the whole container of pickled onions with whatever was on her gloves. Stopped by Kabob Shop and had a great experience. I ordered the bowl with saffron chicken and saffron rice, topped with cucumber salad, feta cheese, two different kinds of hummus, and pickled onions. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The service was quick, the staff at the counter were friendly and welcoming, and the whole restaurant was very clean. It's very good here. I enjoyed my fire wrap. I like the sauce bar. The wrap was big. Good value. I did notice a comment about the sauce tasting like mayo. That would be the dill yogurt sauce. It does not taste like a yogurt sauce. All the other sauces delicious. What I would change is that in my wrap, all the pickled onions were in one spot. The spicy cilantro hummus is fantastic. I found this place as a catering option for my non-profit book club meetings and they have not disappointed. They give generous portions for a very reasonable price, have a great rewards system, discounts all the time, and Rubio, who I think is the manager, is very personable and a great representative of the restaurant.
