A hidden gem in Burbank! It's a small café, but their food portions are huge! The lamb chops were massive and so tender, and I also loved the kabob. The servings were very generous! The service was great--staff were attentive and friendly. The ambiance was nice and quiet, perfect for just relaxing and savoring your meal. They also serve pizzas, which we haven't tried yet--but we definitely will when we come back! Ps: Their homemade white sauce is the perfect pairing with the meat! It's seriously the best!! ‍

I ordered dinner for my family from Rafo's Cafe last week because we wanted to try a different spot for Middle Eastern food. I ordered for takeout through their website, and I was concerned because it was around 7:10pm and they close at 8pm. Luckily, I was able to place an order and select a pickup time within half an hour. I chose the Chicken Lule Kabob Plate and Beef Lule Kabob Plate. Both plates came with two dense skewers of meat. I thought the beef lule was juicier and more flavorful than the chicken lule. Both plates had fluffy white basmati rice; they put so much rice that it made the takeout trays quite heavy. For one of the plates, I selected sides of hummus and yogurt spinach, which was my fave side from the whole meal as it was tangy and paired well with the chicken and beef lule. The hummus was alright and similar to what I've tried at other restaurants. On the other plate, I selected sides of shirazi salad and tomato & green pepper, which added some freshness to the meal, but overall, they were just fine. Also, each plate came with a piece of pita bread, which tasted better when warmed up. As for ambiance and service, I can't write much since I had a family member go pick-up the food. However, they reported that it was easy to find parking in the small plaza and received the food on-time. For the price, I think you get quite a lot of food if you order the plates. Two plates fed my family of 4 people. The online ordering system was convenient, too! I'm glad that I gave Rafo's Cafe a try, and maybe I'll visit in the future when I've exhausted my usual places.

Came to this spot for lunch a few weeks ago between appointments. It was a good decision. He was friendly the place was small but very nice. The guy there asked if my husband and I wanted a side plate or we wanted he can split the plate for us. I was very surprised not a lot of places i've been to offer that I appreciated that. Everything tasted very good, meat was juicy. Next time I'm in the area I would like to try their pizzas.

Wow - this was an exceptional plate. I got the lamb chop plate with peppers/tomato & picked turnip. Let's just say this was charred perfectly! The lamb chops were succulent and tender and the char was so perfect! I love a good char on my veggies and meat. The hummus and Shirazi salad is also a must. The reviews did not disappoint and i am here to testify! lol I will definitely be returning. read more

Love the Middle Eastern food here and the Chicken and Beef Kebab plates. You should also try the Armenian Pizza. Its really good and different from Italian pizzas. So we stopped here with my lunch crew after a meeting in the Burbank hotels. Great place to go for lunch. We ordered a medium Armenian Pizza and some Kebab Middles Eastern plates, and it was delicious. We got full fast, and needed a doggy bag when going home lol. Not surprising the portions are huge. Food is moderate in prices, and the people that work here are nice. I d come back again. read more

A saw this place while sitting at the light at Olive & Victory and thought "that looks like my kind of place" and thank goodness for my intuition! Rafo's is a good blend of pizza and Mediterranean food. On my first visit I got a small pizza and a beef lule kabob sandwich - a lot of food for 1 person, but both were kind of back-ups in case one wasn't good. Well, they were both great: the pizza has excellent crust with good flavor on the sauce. The beef lule kabob sandwich was sensational - I'd never had a sandwich like this, and what a great idea! A kebob plate on the go, in essence, and everything from the meat to the bread was excellent. I really recommend this sandwich! My second visit I had a chicken thigh kabob plate, and I enjoyed the chicken and the rice. Only issues: there's maybe 3 tables inside, so you could dine in there, but it doesn't take much to get busy (one visit when I was picking up food, all tables were taken). Other issue being the hummus, which myself and the other diners found pretty bland. Those things aside, give this place a try for a meal - you too will be pleasantly surprised! read more

Haven't had this good of a pizza in a while! If you're tired of the regular old pepperoni pizza, and you want to try something a little more adventurous, I recommend this Doner pizza! Meat, cheese, red onions, with tzatziki on the side...you just can't go wrong here. I greatly enjoyed the smokey flavors of this pie. The Margarita pizza was a safe pick on our part, a good pizza still, but underwhelming when paired with the Doner. More of a palate cleanser, if you will. The workers here were super welcoming and made sure that we were enjoying our food. Just for their friendly demeanor, I want to visit this spot again. The inside of the store is not too big and there are few spots to sit, so I'd recommend ordering to go if you don't feel comfortable dining in more intimate spaces like this. read more

I barely give 5Star For me one of the most important reasons to keep going to a place apart from their food is the way the way their hospitality is , So glad to find this place , we were passing by and saw the sign of Pizz-kebab n we were like... waaaaht ? let's go check out , how it is? But well , then we understand they don't actually have the pizza kebab. It's separate pizza from kebab , but guess what? They might not have it inside the menu but the cook said if you want they will make it for u as special order, these guys were super kind and caring. Of course, the food is consistently delicious, but what really keeps us coming back is the amazing team. Nikki, Helen, and Lauren make every visit feel special. They always greet us with genuine warmth and kindness, making us feel more like family than customers. Their hospitality and the care they put into every interaction never go unnoticed, and it's one of the biggest reasons this place means so much to us. And if you're a coffee lover, be sure to ask Nikki or Helen to make it. They make the best coffee, and you can tell they put the same care and attention into every cup as they do with every guest they serve. The food at Mini Kabob is extremely solid. My favorite cuts are the steak shish and chicken thighs. I dont really care for chicken but they do a really good job here. Even their lamb is amazing and I dont not like lamb at all. The toum is fantastic and the rice is so buttery and fluffy. The ambience is quaint as the shop is small. I remember it used to be a single unit until the neighbors on their right moved out and they took over the space. There is a few outdoor seats but im going to preface and highlight the word "few". Otherwise you can eat in your car or take it to a nearby park. Armen is running the show and is a stand up human being. Always tried his best to remember every customer, gets to know them and greets everyone with a happy smile despite how slammed they can get. My favorite kebab Place!!! The chicken kebabs are amazing! They give you nice big pieces of chicken chunks with a nice sized portion of white rice. It also comes with a salad and the homemade salad dressing is to die for literally obsessed. Literally should consider selling the salad dressing in grocery stores. I also Love the tzatziki as well it has a nice little spice ad goes perfect with the chicken and pita. & to finally top it off the service is wonderful. Tried Rafo's for the first time the other day and was quite impressed. In the area, there's a ton of Armenian/Arabic/Persian restaurants, so the choices can be overwhelming. I ordered the chicken kabobs and it came with some salad and rice. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. I would definitely come back here again as it's a great lunch spot.
