I don't usually write reviews but this place was actually so good. I got the salmon croissant and it was perfect. Buttery, flaky, and the salmon tasted really fresh. Not heavy, just really well made. The owner is such a sweet lady, super welcoming and kind. You can tell she really cares. The food was very fresh, and not greasy at all. I had the Pesto Chicken Wrap, and it was delicious. I could eat that every day. My sensitive stomach even liked it. Went to Cela Cafe last night for the first time very since my husband and I love Mediterranean food and are also trying to eat a bit more healthy. This place was absolutely phenomenal. Let's start with the service shall we. The two people working were incredibly helpful at helping us navigate the menu as well as providing some great suggestions. This is counter service but since we ate there on their patio they brought our food and even set real silverware and our plates down for us. Next let's talk about the ambiance. Not trying to be mean, but not worth $87. They need to fire the cook. Lule chicken dry & cold. The beef shawarma tacos came out dry & cold , no flavor. The chicken salad salty & the chicken breast dry . The only thing that was a 9/10 was the fries & the hummus. The main protein should be the high light not the sauces to cover up the dry meat. Stopped in after the Holiday in the Park event and it was the perfect place to wind down with good food. All of the team members are friendly and make sure you're comfortable and feel welcome. They recommended the chicken kebab plate and it was a good portion to share for two. We opted to sit in the patio section in the back and it was really nice to get away from all the busy-ness in the streets and have a secluded spot to eat. Strong and just a small bit of sweetness (a no-sweet option is available). I had the Shakshuka eggs Very reminiscent of a Huevos Rancheros and honestly, this was so much better than any huevos rancheros I've had at any Mexican restaurant. Spicy (as requested) and very savory with the perfect easy/medium egg in a cast iron. I'd eat this every morning!! Love Cela! My go-to is the Falafel Wrap which is full of falafel, tahini, lemon dressing, cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce. The pickled veggies on the side are *chefs kiss*. Service is fast, so it's the perfect place to grab a bite quickly to go or on a quick work break. They have lovely seating indoors or a gorgeous courtyard outside in the back. This is for a delivery order, so i can only speak to the food quality, packaging and value. Food taste & quality: 5/5 Cost vs Value: 3/5 Packaging: 4/5 First the good, we all enjoyed our food. The gyro was very tasty with a nice amount of tatziki, and my request asking for no parsley was honored. Shwarma was difficult to unwrap, paper was stuck on the inside and looked as though it was grilled/pressed with the paper on it which jammed pieces of the paper into the folds of the shwarma. Once unwrapped, it was delicious. Chicken luleh kabob plate was good. Kids chicken was good. The only real issue I have is that an $18+(menu price not delivery) gyro or shwarma should be bigger or come with fries. And the paper issue with the shwarma was just odd. read more

I'm a fan of Mediterranean food, but this plate was unfortunately nothing to write home about. The falafel was rather dry and the portions were small for the $20+ I spent on the plate. I wish there was a larger amount of salad instead of rice and lavash to balance out the dryness. This is an order at the counter restaurant with no service and a self-serve water station. Service was mediocre as I my order took forever to be ready and no one was overly friendly for a fairly new establishment. Food was not worth the wait. As I was a bit disappointed with portion and quality of food. As instead of a skewer of chicken, it came with 2 chunks of chicken and some beef that taste dry, reheated and a bit old (see my pic). My food look nothing like what the Asian guy on IG was eating. Street parking, although I found a couple empty spaces at the bank next door. Few tables and chairs to dine in with nice decor. An adorable locally-owned shop that offers your typical selection of Mediterranean food. I went with the gyro wrap because I can never resist pita wraps. This one came with extra tzatziki spread on the spice along with pickled veggies which are my favorite. The pita bread they used here was soft, fluffy, and addicting with the hummus. The hummus I mentioned came with the combo plate. For my protein, I ordered the chicken shawarma and beef shawarma that came on a bed of basmati rice. I found it interesting though that the pita bread they provided here was very different from the wrap. It was much more thin and dry so it definitely needed to be dipped to enjoy it. I also got the Mediterranean Chicken Salad, minus the olives, as recommended by the worker which was a fun twist on the usual since it was layered on top of hummus spread and topped with lemon vinaigrette dressing. They have both indoor and outdoor dining but I recommend sitting on the outdoor patio in the back since it's decorated to be like a backyard. It also has a TV if you're interested in watching while you eat. The food came out quickly and it's a good place for a quick bite or a place to hang out with friends. read more
