Right when you walk in they take your order quickly and efficiently. I appreciate that they have pictures of the food it was nice. Lowk overwhelmed when I first walked in I cant lie. The service is so quick i felt pressured to order faster but thats just a me issue LOL. The food was good I got the honey chicken plate. the portion is hugeee and definitely filling. I like how they have a sauce station, I enjoyed the yogurt dill. I ordered the greek salad as one of the bases and it honestly wasnt what I expected, still good though. I also took a bite of my boyfriends lamb plate and wasn't too much of a fan of it. It lacked a little bit of flavor and just tasted like plain meat. Luckily I got the chicken and it was very yummy. I had a very disappointing experience with Josh. He was rude and unprofessional when I stopped by the last time I went there and his attitude alone made me not want to return. I was also personally one of the people he gave free food to, and I witnessed him give free food to a total of five people who were not members of his household. From my experience, this did not seem appropriate and raises concerns about how the restaurant's food and policies are being handled. I love Mediterranean food, and The Kebab Shop is no exception. I like to order the chicken Doner Kebab, char-grilled with seasoning after being marinated for hours. This food taste is reminiscent of Italy or some place else, where peeps eat healthy Med Diets. The Lamb is also of interest, cuts of meats, formed and grilled together on a spit. First time enjoying lunch at The Kabob Shop (TKS) in Mira Mesa and I will be back! I selected the Greens Bowl with Fire Honey Chicken and (why not) fries. The food was quickly served hot and tasty with fresh greens. The Fire Honey Chicken has a nice little kick without being overly spicy. I highly recommend the San Diego wrap which adds a little crunch factor from the fries and always opt for the grilled chicken tenderloin. Add just a bit, or a lot of the OG yogurt sauce and you're in business. Ordering is speedy and food also comes out pretty quickly. The staff is very helpful as well. There are self serve sauce stations and a beverage area and plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. Even though this is not a fancy spot, it's relatively clean. The trash bins however, next to the sauce station were overfilled. Overall you can't complain for solid food and reasonably priced. read more

Had lunch at Kabob Shop yesterday. Easy to order and only took about 7-8 minutes to get my order. It was hot and fresh. The chicken and veggies were very good. The saffron rice lacked a little flavor, kinda bland overall. The chicken was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor though. The veggies were cooked well and still had some snap upon first bite. It's a fast food style joint so don't expect much from the sitting area. It was clean but nothing spectacular to look at. Parking was crowded when I left, about 11:45 but, since I arrived early, getting a spot near the restaurant wasn't tough. Guessing it gets tougher the later you arrive though cuz it was very busy when I left. read more
