Came here for dinner, did try the one in Chandler but didn't feel like driving that far south. Clean and friendly staff, came around 5pm and it was not too busy. Ordered the 1/2 snow and 1/2 shrimp combo and 1 lbs of crawfish. Ordered the Cajun edamame, dozen raw oysfer, shrimp taco, and fish and chips. Edamame was pretty good drenchdd in Cajun seasoning. I don't know if it was worth almost $9. Oysters were pretty good. Pretty good price for the size. My bag of seafood came and I was reminded why I don't like crawfish as much now. Lots of work for tiny piece of meat. Crab legs were pretty good, and shrimp was OK. I got spicy level but seemed little weak for being spicy level. Fish taco was not too nad, three tacos and no side dishes or nothing. Just 3 tacos. Didn't try the fish and chips but I was told they were pretty good. Over all food was pretty good but now I remember why I don't come here often. Bit pricey after all said and done for what you get. read more

Second time here! I forgot how goood their kicking style sauce is - so so flavorful and garlicy! I love it. I always get their shrimps with kicking style sauce because I am too lazy to crack open the crabs. I noticed that prices have slightly increased from last time I went. It was so delicious though. I always have to get it with a side of rice because it tastes even better with the sauce. Love how they gave us a bunch of lemons today. This was my first time at a seafood boil and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this experience. I don't love eating with my hands but they supplied gloves and bibs which helped you stay clean! I got the crab and shrimp special which honestly is a pretty good deal considering how much you get + a potato and corn as well. The all of the above sauce with a slight hint of mild made the perfect combination. The staff is very friendly and were attentive especially with it being a seafood boil casual restaurant. There were sinks outside of the bathrooms which was a good touch especially with it being so messing- prevented you from having to touch the bathroom door! I would definitely be back, but would probably just get shrimp. I wouldn't get crab again because although it's very tasty it's hard to take a part + even more messy not super ideal! read more

It comes with 2 corn, 2 potatoes and 4 sausages for $58.99. Sometimes we add on more corn and potatoes. The corn is so good dipped in the sauce!! We always get the Kickin style sauce, spice level hot and it's perfect! The sauce also comes with a lot of chopped up garlic. Sometimes it's really busy when we come and sometimes not as busy. This location was busier, which left us waiting a little at times but still an overall good experience. This location has the same decor and slightly different layout. Same great flavor, specials, and menu selection. My bestie met us for this lunch, and we all enjoyed the food. They went with shrimp with Cajun fries for the table. I went for Spicy Spicy with Kicking flavor for the Snow Crab Special (no sausage, sub more corn). It was good, but definitely think they could have another level of spice. We came to the Kickin' Crab for my birthday we were greeted right away, and they were very pleasant asked us where we'd want to sit and was very accommodating. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. The service was spectacular. We had probably every server in the place check on us at least once even though we weren't their table. We ordered one of the bags with the lobster in it and extra shrimp with heads on with the combo seasonings. It came out hot and delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better meal except more lobster... we also ordered seafood Alfredo, which was delicious as well. I love The Kickin' Crab location in Chandler so much I wanted to try the Mesa location. The restaurant was empty on a Wednesday around 5pm. I ordered the Kickin' crab combo deal #2 with Kickin' style mild sauce and the a side of steak rice. The sauce wasn't as flavorful as the sauce in Chandler. The food was overall okay, I would prefer my sauce a little bit more flavorful instead of so oily. The restaurant didn't seemed like they had a lot of customers, my guess is maybe many people don't know that they are open and that it has changed from the previous cajun boil restaurant. read more

Coming from Houston Texas, I love garlic smothered crawfish. A craving hit me so hard I went by myself on a Tuesday to get my fix haha Kickin Crab has been on my list for a while with its great reviews and multiple locations. Not to mention it seemed to thrive where the great Crawfish Cafe has failed. It was packed for a Tuesday! TLDR: I left disappointed. First off - they didn't have any fresh crawfish. March is peak crawfish season...if they didn't have fresh crawfish now I don't know when they possibly would. So I begrudgingly got the frozen. Since it's frozen, you inevitably get the bad crawfish here and there but overall not bad for frozen. Unfortunately things kept going downhill Maybe I'm mistaken, but crawfish is usually mixed for a little bit in the garlic sauce before serving. At least that's how I've always been served and always seen it prepared. Here, they literally scooped sauce in a bag and dumped crawfish on top. They didnt even have the courtesy to mix the bag contents! So the top crawfish were bone dry, as if they were left under a heat lamp, and I had to carve out access to the sauce to dip the crawfish. I also ordered some fried oysters. These were objectively terrible. Insanely battered, I would venture to say each piece was 30% oyster. At one point I got so tired of the breading I started to peel it to just eat the oyster. To my surprise, the oyster was super tiny. They are using some sort of low quality or jarred oyster or something. After tip, I left with a $100 bill for 3lbs frozen crawfish and a basket of oysters. That, arguably, left a worst taste in my mouth than the oysters. Save your money, for $100 there are endless options in Phoenix that are far superior read more

We went towards about an hour before closing time and the food was still delicious We got the crab combo which was suppose to come with potatoes, corn and sausage but that was missed in our order. We did try a new seasoning of the spicy Cajun and we both agreed that the spicy lousiana is better. We dont get the kicking crab seasoning as we just prefer the others from just previous seafood boils we've tried. But we do get a side of the kickin sauce to dip into. Ate here a couple of times and they were all good up until now. I usually always order crawfish and had never had any trouble. Recently ordered to go and over half the crawfish were inedible as they were discolored, mushy and shrunken in. Crawfish should be white, not gray. I put a normal crawfish next to the nasty gray ones. I get that they're frozen and not fresh but they shouldn't mostly be bad like this. It's not usually busy so you get a table pretty fast but once you sit down and get your drinks and order your food you can watch the shows that are on the tv the staff are very nice and understanding.
