Love love loved my dining experience here. A local recommended it, so another friend and I ate here for lunch before a concert. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the quality. Service was good too. The hostess even offered to take our pic when we were heading out. We chose to sit outside on the beautiful patio because the weather was nice, but the inside, wow, it is just gorgeous. This is a boutique type hotel with a restaurant that's very unique. One of our favorite dining experiences in Nee Orleans. The hotel and restaurant are beautiful, the service was personal and attentive, the food was amazing. We had an easy late lunch indoors at The Chloe and I was so charmed by the well-maintained grandeur of this lovely mansion. We ordered the seafood salad, focaccia with goat cheese, chicken nuggets and twin stack burger. It was the perfect amount to share among three people and there wasn't a dud among them. I am so impressed with the thoughtful recipes and preparation, and everything was served at the appropriate temperature. I don't think I've ever ordered chicken nuggets from a real restaurant but these are fried to a crispy finish in a heavy, seasoned batter and served with honey saffron sauce that we utilized for fry dipping when nuggets quickly vanished. I would order a pint of this sauce if possible. For a cocktail I recommend the Faded Polaroid, it was lovely rye whiskey with orange notes but not too sweet. read more

Hosts greeted me when I walked in led me the very short distance to inside bar. The bar wasn't busy but still took me awhile to be greeted by the bartenders. Which is off putting for a slow bar. Enjoyed the cocktail I ordered. It was the seasonal coquito. Snacks were enjoyable. Ordered food from happy hour menu it was brought out they were finger foods but I wasn't offered napkins or utensils had to go in search of them. This is a newer hotel/restaurant in a renovated St Charles Ave mansion. It is just down the street from The Columns, a similar edifice now called merely Columns. There's a nice front courtyard area for warmer days as well as a back area pool area. The interior is a series of fun, eclectic Victorian style spaces with lots of antiquated charm and places to sit, lounge and have drinks, plus the more formal restaurant area toward the back. The stairs have a wonderful carpet with alligators embedded in it. So fun. Service was very relaxed and professional. We were accommodated well the entire time. I had a Sazarac for a cocktail and it was quite good. For my main course I selected the duck which was on a bed of shredded cabbage. The meal was quite good although the duck did have a lot of fat, tasty nonetheless. This is a fun place to come and hang out, have a drink or a meal, and the hotel rooms must be fun too. read more

We had great drinks at the bar. They have frozen drink options. I had an espresso martini the bartender was a very accommodating and made the drink for me and I loved it, my friend and I spent a great part of the day there and it was peaceful and lovely. The bathrooms are large enough to be changing rooms very clean very accommodating. This is a very groovy and very hip hotel, restaurant and bar which my experience was just sitting next to the pool enjoying some cocktails with friends at a table during happy hour. The hotel looks like what it is a converted home made into a hotel which they have done as nice a job as you can with a project like that. The back patio and pool area is nice enough although the pool is far smaller and MUCH more narrow than I expected. To summarize the experience I can just say "expensive" and to me at least I didn't find the cocktails any more amazing or special than a cocktail at any of the many dive bars we have around the city. I do hear they have a nice burger here and it is around $20 which also includes fries. The burger is two thin patties which is a bit of a turn off for me as I prefer a traditional NOLA style burger with a single large thick meat patty instead of this new hipster smash burger craze going on. At some point I will get around to trying out the burger and it does have quite a reputation as being great but so do a LOT of other smash style burgers that I've found not to my old school taste. read more

I booked a "Staycation" here for my 50th birthday...I am a NOLA native and live on Magazine about a mile away...We drove over in the golf cart (Yep, we're one of those people). The stay was *beyond my expectations* (we had been there before for drinks but not to the hotel part). Every single person we encountered on staff was SO kind and fun from the moment we walked in. Started the evening at the bar, which had a great mix of neighbors/regulars (with cute dogs) and tourists. The liquor selection and cured cocktails are magical. We checked into Room #4, which was perfect. Every room at the hotel has a record player, a Marshall external mini amp/speaker and the best mini bar selection...just knowing it was there was awesome (we did eventually cave in and enjoy some flavored pretzel twists). Dinner was SO yummy. Our waiter, Jasper, was a rock star...He arranged for a nice surprise birthday beverage. We had the gumbo (a meal in itself that was so good we saved half of it to take home and ended up devouring it cold from the mini fridge before we left the next morning...it was *that good*), the goat cheese app (the bread and the honey poured on top was divine), the stuffed redfish (once I was done with my meal, the empty plate almost looked like it was licked clean...Although tempted, I was actually able to keep my composure and not do that...) and the double stack burger (also saved to bring home and perfect for a snack this evening). The room was the ideal hideaway (located at the back of the second floor) for our little staycation. We jammed out to Muddy Waters on the turntable while getting ready (next time, we are going to borrow one of their themed record stacks...It was a work night...Monday...so we had to keep things low key). It was super easy to sign into streaming apps on the room TV...After dinner, we watched the end of the NFL Playoff game and then Netflixed and Chilled. Even though there was a large-ish reception going on downstairs, we heard nothing from our room. The breakfast (included with the room) was the perfect way to start my work day the next day. It arrived right at the selected time. Delicious coffee, eggs, breakfast potatoes and crispy bacon. The hotel wifi was great. I worked for a few hours from the room (they have a generous 1:00 pm check-out time) before we headed back home. I love the jewel toned decor, repurposed furniture and quirky ambiance (artwork, photographs, hidden/not so hidden alligator motif). They give you a *real key* for the room, which is a nice retro touch. The shower was delightful, the bedding clean, crisp and comfy. I could not think of a better way to spend the first day of the 50th year of my life. We will be planning another staycation soon when it's a little warmer and we can also enjoy the pool :) Thank you, folks at The Chloe! read more

Still consistently going to The Chloe and it's always so good! Went for dinner recently and let me tell you -- I ate some of the best dishes of the year here and it's only February! You have to get the risotto and chocolate cake!!!! The mushroom risotto was actually the best risotto I've ever eaten! The cashews and fried garlic was to die for. I am still thinking about it! The chocolate cake is also a must order! It comes with a fantastic chocolate ganache and melted chocolates poured over the top. It's also very big so we took home the leftovers! Went here for brunch on a Saturday in late March. Easy to get a reservation. The restaurant is in a historic mansion on St Charles in the Garden district. We took the free Street Car there. Couldn't be easier. The server was very nice and recognized it took 10+ minutes to greet us. After that it was great. We got the fried chicken biscuit sandwich which was seriously amazing. Finally a new (to me) restaurant that deserves a rave review. Our server was Nelson and he did a wonderful job making our visit memorable. We were seated in a smaller alcove that was very quiet versus the larger dining room which was quite loud......win for us! We started with a couple Bottles of wine and a few appetizers. The cracklings were fresh cooked and were still popping when delivered. We all agreed they needed to have some pork belly left on them. Lightly seasoned and needed Crystals. I had the pineapple gazpacho and was hit with a twang and sweetness that I didn't except. It was good but I wasn't able to finish the bowl of sweet and sour. The pork and shrimp dumplings were very delightful four of us split two orders of three. By far the best out of the appetizers. Our main course consist of the chicken katsu sandwich, burger, shrimp lobster roll and the mushroom melt. The chicken nasty was delish. I finished the remainder of the large sandwich my wife ordered. The vegetarian shroom dish was flavorful enjoyed by all. The burger wasn't wowing but it had a nice flavored patty. The shrimp lobster roll was good but 1/2 of our group thought it was too heavy in celery. The ice cream sandwich was heavenly and scarfed down quickly. The chocolate dish was dense and not terribly sweet. We will be back to try their dinner menu out. read more

Met a friend here for drinks only a couple of days after Christmas and had a great time. It's such a beautiful space, inside and out. It was around 6pm and although mostly empty, the bar service was pretty backed up. I had the Office Party which was the best cocktail I have had in a long time. My friend had the Five Families because she likes mezcal. For our second round, they were out of one of the cocktails, I forget which. I had the Chloe Dancer which was also great. The bar seems understaffed - while there are plenty of servers and hosts floating around, the bartenders are cranking out drinks as fast as they can with no end in sight. I've written a review here before when my experience wasn't great, and I really wanted to give The Chloe another chance because I love this place and want it to succeed. Unfortunately, some of the front-of-house issues I mentioned last time were still very noticeable. The host this time was a dark-haired, high-school-aged girl who was sitting at a table with her boyfriend, eating, and doing homework while guests were arriving, completely ignoring her job. I do not understand how someone this young and unprepared is allowed to be the first person customers see. It made everything awkward and frustrating right from the start. That said, the food was absolutely fantastic. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and delicious, which is exactly why I keep coming back despite these issues. Grace, the redhead at the front desk who I remember from my last visit, was amazing. She actually knows how to run the floor, is attentive, and should absolutely be the host instead. The dark-haired girl really needs more training or a role better suited to her level of experience. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the bartender Michael. He was friendly, professional, and truly made the evening enjoyable. I really hope management takes a serious look at the front-of-house setup. The Chloe has everything it needs to be incredible, but guests deserve competent staff at the door to match the amazing food and wonderful service from people like Grace and Michael. read more
