Interesting decor, you literally are dining inside a Quonset hut. Looks modern and trendy, very "city" vibe. Waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. Food didn't disappoint burgers were tasty, I had the ribs.. So so. Beware the happy hour apps though.. TINY 2 bite portion, not for sharing. More like an amuse bouche. However the regular shrimp appetizer with "monster sauce" was addictingly good, and plenty to share with the table. So good. The food was excellent and innovative! Service was excellent and our courses were well timed. I had the bison tenderloin and my husband had venison pho. Both were excellent and so was the coconut lychee panna cotta. We would definitely come back! Not sure why this restaurant has $$$ rating when it was one of the cheaper dinners we had in Jackson. Service was outstanding friendly and quick, for starters we had the sweet and spicy wings, very crunchy and nice with a Fennel sauce and a lime to give it some accent, and as well a salmon tartar. Her main dish we had a steak and the venison pho, both outstanding. read more

Delicious cuisine! And nice atmosphere/ambiance. We went twice to The Kitchen. Once in September and once in February. Both times were excellent culinary experiences. Fresh and well done. A feast for your taste buds. And we really liked that the restaurant closes a little later than most others restaurants in town. That was a terrific find after a late afternoon flight into Jackson. I ate at the kitchen after 3 dinners in Teton Village. I only had one meal in the town of Jackson and wanted to make it a good one - kitchen did not disappoint. This place is off the busy square but still close to downtown. Feel of the restaurant is upscale, yet very cosy. Had the Red Deer signature dish which was incredible. My brother had the goat which was also very tasty. Did some of the sushi apps and fish was very fresh and well prepared. We didn't have a reservation and they welcomed our party of 10 with just little notice. They even kept the kitchen open late. They had a limited menu due to season. Can't wait to visit them again when we head back to Jackson. We ordered the Roasted Brussels sprout and sauteed edamame for starters. They were so good, we ordered a second round. We ordered the Korean breakfast (little to salty but tasty), Hot soba noodles were great for our vegetarian friends, beach & brussels salad was devoured, chicken n dumpling are interesting twist on a classic, and the salmon special was excellent. They do have some kid friendly options if you have younger less adventurous ones. The staff was incredible warm, funny and experienced. Our group had a great dinner full of laughs, delicious old fashion, lots of wine and don't forget to ask for dessert menu here! That potato chip pecan pie was sinful! read more

Arrived here with no reservation on a Saturday night. They were very busy but accommodated us right away. We started with a few small plates that were delicious. Our family ate at The Kitchen while vacationing in the area in August. We were not impressed at all. The ambience was fine, but no one except for me was satisfied with their meal. My daughter ordered some sort of miso soup with a slab of meat in it. It was impossible to eat in a lady-like manner. My son who is 16 and a swimmer gobbled up his wimpy dish in about 3 minutes--still starving afterward. My husband who normally eats very lightly, ordered scallops and there were 5 on the plate with basically nothing else. My fish dish was good and a good amount of food. I think my son and husband were fighting over the few pieces of rice that were still on my plate. Two hundred dollars later, we all left The Kitchen saying "what's for dinner?". We ended up having to eat a bowl of cereal when we got back to the hotel. read more

Just scanned the overview section here on yelp...I was there on Friday nite and it didn't seem loud at all, and there seemed to be some medium-ish groups there. It was great: service is super nice and accommodating; really delicious food; nice atmosphere--doesn't try too hard. All the "crudo" dishes are delicious--maybe it's a scheme, but the small plates ($11/ea during the off-season) always leave you wanting like, three more plates, and preferably all to yourself. REALLY GOOD food---never too salty or too saucy, just fresh and well-prepared. read more

This place is awesome. The architecture is very cool, the staff are laid back but extremely friendly and professional. The drinks are out of this world (the ginger vodka one was excellent). But the food...the food was top notch. We went with a group of people on a Saturday. The very next night my husband and i went again! (we have never gone to the same restaurant twice on a vacation!).
