The hotel itself is beautiful but I would not recommend "the kitchen". The breakfast buffet is not worth the price. On our second day there we decided to leave the hotel and get breakfast elsewhere. We ate at the Denny's on I drive and had ZERO complaints which is insane. The kitchen should blow Denny's out the water! Needless to say we expected much better food for the price and location.

Delicious food! We had a late dinner after spending all day at the universal park. It was super delicious! Our kids had the buffalo chicken wings and split the short rib ragout and a Caesar salad. They loved the wings and thoroughly enjoyed the ragout. The Caesar salad was very crispy and fresh. They said it was very tasty!! My wife and I had the pumpkin and sweet potato bisque and shared a fall market Salad. The soup is a must try and the fall market salad is a must try as well! Fresh greens with candied nuts and a sweet vinegar dressing. Both were super yummy! For dessert we had the Oktoberfest cookie skillet which was a soft baked cookie. With pretzel inside served with a caramel sauce and topped with ice cream. It is to die for!! My kids and wife said we didn't need dessert so I ordered it. As soon as it arrived we all tried a little bit. I expected them to put their spoons down since they did not want dessert. I was looking forward to having it all to myself. I have never seen three spoons move so fast as they attacked the dessert! It was incredible! The service was wonderful! Our server was Chris and he was spot on! Very attentive! The ambiance was very comfortable and pleasant to be in. We all said this was one of our better meals to have on our 10 day trip. We hope to be back soon!

Stayed at the Hard rock this past weekend so we definitely had to check out the onsite dining. The kitchen was delicious!!! Their calamari was hands down the best I've ever had. Light and crispy. Just perfect. The short rib ragout was amazing and cooked perfectly. Very savory. Our server Bryan was very friendly and took great care of us. Everyone loved their dish. I definitely recommend eating here if you're staying at the Hard Rock

Located in the Hard Rock Hotel is The Kitchen. My parents and I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in December 2024, and dined here several times for both dinner and for breakfast. We dined here mainly out of convenience as the food wasn't anything standout in our opinion; though they do make a decent dirty vodka martini. Very solid service no matter the day part and the restaurant was comfortable and clean. If you are staying on property, it's worth visiting but I couldn't see coming here if not staying at this property.

If this place was about half the price I would probably rate it 5 stars. It's resort pricing, so I guess it shouldn't be surprising, but I would expect the food to reflect the pricing. I actually really like the mac and cheese entree--the cheese is delicious and I like the crunchiness of the bread crumbs. But it's a pretty straightforward comfort food meal for $21 dollars. My wife got the margherita flatbread and I didn't try it because it looked extremely unappetizing. The Velvet Bar upstairs actually has better quality food options, if it's after 5pm. The good news is the staff here are great, and you can get parking validated if you eat here (which they also do at the Velvet Bar when you spend over $40). It's a cool spot with a lot of potential and located at a great hotel.

My friend and I came in for magical dining as we were trying to get another restaurant down our list. We had reservations for 730 but I ran late. They told her they couldn't hold the reservation but when I got there around 9 the place was a little empty. We sat down and went through the menu. I started with a cocktail. Did the fun times in babylon. It was good in the beginning but I think with various flavors at dinner it became tart to me. For the apps we did the rockin rolls and orzo soup. Entrees we did the 5 oz filet and the airline chicken. Dessert was the crème brûlée and the pistachio crème. Both of the apps were delicious. I loved the cheesy rolls, they remind me of Brazilian cheese bread. Loved dipping it in tomato sauce, the orzo soup was comforting. The chicken and filet were both good. The pistachio crème tasted more like a keylime crème to me. I thought the crème brulee was a better dessert. Our waitress Lori was pretty awesome. Parking was validated with dinner.

I have never been to one of the Universal hotels and this was very nice! I want to come back already. The drink was made by the bartender and because they had a full bar it was easy to just say what I liked and have something from the menu put together. The rock n rolls were not something I would order again. They were super stretchy and greasy and I wasnt a fan. I got to try some of my friends Brocolini and it was well seasoned and cooked well. I would immediately go back for the braised short rib pasta. It was on the more affordable side and very filling. I was super pleased with how the entire dish was cooked. The beignets were a smidge doughy for my liking and the bourbon caramel wasn't good I liked just plain caramel sauce. Overall I would be back and try another appetizer/dessert, but I would definitely eat the pasta again and again.

The Kitchen was phenomenal! Service, food portion, quality and value were on point! Everyone went out of their way to ensure the dining experience was memorable! And, on Wednesdays and Fridays they have a magic sideshow! If you're lucky enough to get Craig then you're in good hands... so be ready for a nice magic show with a delicious dining experience! The portions were large; come with an appetite or be ready to share! The bar is set in a nice purple neon glow with giant copper kitchen lights overhead. There was a shirt wait for 25 minutes but we were called after only fifteen! The flatbread can be prepared GF, the skirt steak was a generous two portion cut of both sides set atop several duck fat fingerling potatoes and broccolini. While the lobster Mac N cheese can be prepared GF, they were unfortunately out of GF pasta this evening. However, that did prompt me adding a side of scallops to compliment my steak and these were cooked perfectly! The desserts were both large & divine!

Wanted to love this spot. I love brunch spots. Have no problem paying $50+ for a good brunch, do it often. However this spot at $62 was really barely better than a Golden Corral. - Omelette Bat was only real "made to order" spot. Was decent, but limited toppings, only 3 cheese options, and just barely above average. From there it all went down hill. - Biscuits were terrible. Nothing special like you'd expect at this price point. Something southern flaky, with layers and butter or unique twist. These were run of the mill grocery pop in oven frozen tasting. - Gravy was blah. As uninteresting as the biscuits. Only one. Would've been nice to see options like other brunches buffets at this price point. Brown gravy, sausage white gravy, and a pepper white maybe. Just boring and difficult to get to (no place to put lid while scooping) - Bacon was the biggest disappointment. It was holiday inn continental breakfast quality. Thin, greasy as all heck. Absolutely the worst low quality bacon ever. - Sausage, catalog food quality. Maybe Sisco or Ben E Kieth. Trash links. Would've loved higher quality, maybe options kielbasa, Portuguese even. - Salad, 2 bowls of to side (not a salad bar) one with Spring greens, the other an antipasto salad . No croutons, no toppings (I stole some cucumbers from the charcuterie board). Had to go to Omelette bar for a smidge of shredded cheese and 3 dressing options. Sizzler had them beat. SIZZLER. No other toppings. - Charcuterie, some cheese, crackers in a basket (mid st best) - Carving station, if you could call it that was a joke. Nothing but a rind of a ham. Sad joke. - Breads, pancakes. They had pancakes. At this price point I'd expect a Belgian Waffle station, with way more toppings than some jelly donut filling and whip cream. They had an assortment of toast breads and bagels. - Cereal and Oatmeal, it was there. - Fruit station, it was worse than a McDonald's parfait (I've never actually had one. But imagine it's better) - desert table(no opinion didn't waste my time at this point). - Drinks, I tried the unlimited Bloody Mary (also Mimosa available) The bloody was terrible. No traditional pepper flavor or very little, watered down, and garnished with lemon and lime? No Spanish olive, no celery stock. Just garbage jar pre mixed Bloody. At $50+ I'd hope for at least effort. Service. Omelette chef kind and helpful. Server was more or less ok. But had horrible breath. Imagine how bad it was that I'd comment. Servers don't get that close, yes it was that bad. Overall, Wont return most likely unless was family in town who wanted it. Hard pass. Hell go to Cheese Cake factory for a far better brunch for this price point or slightly more to the Grand Floridian at Disney World.

I came here for a reservation with the Universal Orlando Run Club and I was absolutely thrilled with the service and quality of food. We came for an early seating and the employees were welcoming, the area was very clean. I absolutely loved the touch of printing "Welcome Run Club", it made me feel even more special as a consumer. The buffet options were fresh and I loved the omelette station. I hope we book another reservation as a group because I would love to come back, I highly recommend this location!

Similar to the mountain stage classifications in the major cycling races like the Tour de France or Giro d'Italia, this place is "beyond category' meaning, it is in a class of its own. The Kitchen at The Hard Rock Hotel is not just an eating establishment, it is a landmark. Starting with impeccable service, you will find a warm and very helpful staff that will strive to ensure that your experience is unique. Recently renovated, the space is decorated with legitimate rock memorabilia that makes it a pseudo-rock museum. A complete menu that offers something for everyone, they will accommodate your food allergies and preferences to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable meal. Whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, The Kitchen is no doubt the place to see and be seen.

It reminded me of a New Orleans-style paella, loaded with perfectly seasoned dirty rice, andouille sausage, shrimp, and an incredible depth of flavor in every bite. My husband began with the French Vegetable Soup, which he described as magnificent, followed by the Short Rib Sliders, which were tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. For dessert, we indulged in the Peach Cobbler à la Mode, topped with vanilla bean ice cream. It was decadent, comforting, and the perfect ending to the meal. To top it all off, we enjoyed a frothy cappuccino served with a rock candy sugar stick--a beautiful finishing touch. The food, presentation, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. We can't say enough good things about our experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended!

Arrived for late lunch just before 1 pm-ish. We were seated promptly with a smile at a small booth for 2. I should have asked for a bigger booth as my teen is 6'5" and I'm 5'10" so we were knocking knees the whole time, but otherwise comfortable. The restaurant was not overly busy, perhaps 1/4 full but had a couple larger tables and we weren't in a hurry, but did wait 10 minutes for a server wondering if they knew we were there. I was totally fine waiting as not in a hurry, but a quick "be with you shortly" to acknowledge us would have sufficed. Redemption came when James greeted us and took our order. He was friendly, warm and happy to list options for sides and make sure we ordered exactly as we wanted. Our drinks actually came almost immediately as well, which was great considering mine was a Grand Patron Margarita, no salt and it arrive fast and without salt rim! Our food was typical speed for a chain style restaurant.. didn't really time it but was happy with the pace. Everything was correct and exactly as ordered. James had a trainee server with him.. so sorry, forgot the name but believe it started with an "M", She was bubbly, welcoming and took drink refills and dessert orders that both came out quickly, along with a to-go box as requested. Service was wonderful from both of our servers.. this is what really made the visit shine for us. The food was good, but not really "wow-ed" by anything. My son's burger was ordered Med Well but brown all the way through no sign of slight tinge of pink. He didn't care, he's 16 and eat's anything but mentioned it was a bit drier than the usual burger, but still loved it and ate every bite. I had the Mediterranean Chicken Pita Tacos.. loved the sauce on them and overall soft and fresh, but the chicken was well, just cooked chicken and that itself lacked a bit of flavor. I'm not sure I would order again as the chicken itself lacked flavor while the cucumbers and sauce were the highlight. My margarita was actually really good - LOVED it! I love the little bottle of Grand Marnier. Cute, clever, and not cheated with a "less than" float on top. Also reasonable at $14.99. I've paid more for terrible top shelf margaritas so this was a plus. My son had the Stars and Stripes Pizcookie, and let's be real, he chose BJ's to dine at just so he could have one of these. He was not disappointed and finished it in about 2 min flat.. no joke.. Me.. still sipping on that margarita!! A perfect place to stop after several hours of volleyball tournament games. My last little nit pick was some debris on the floor nearby, a straw and a wrapper that were picked up just before our visit ended, but I did step on the straw on the way to the restroom and it stayed there for quite some time. Fortunately the restrooms were clean and well stocked, but debris on the floor always makes you wonder about cleanliness overall including the kitchen, so would just do a quick run through for tables and floors a bit more often. We would return again should we be nearby again. Thank you to our lovely servers that made the visit for us or my stars would be a bit lower.. hard to get smiles, helpful menu insight, and attentiveness and even 5 star restarants we recently visited, so thank you James and trainee!!

The hummus appetizer was excellent and was easily the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful and served with pita, cucumbers, carrots, and red peppers. The food presentation overall was attractive and showed promise. The most serious issue occurred when my son ordered a refill of his virgin mojito and was served a drink containing alcohol. Serving alcohol in a child's drink is a significant mistake and should never happen. We also ordered the steak frites based on a recommendation and were told it was exceptional. Unfortunately, the steak was extremely tough and chewy, making it difficult to eat and far from what was described. Management apologized and removed the steak from the bill, but the combination of excessive wait times, the alcohol mix-up involving a minor, and the disappointing entrée left a poor overall impression.

The pasta tasted fresh, portions were generous, and everything came out hot. Good service, lively atmosphere, and the kind of place where you can actually leave full. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Orlando and want a proper Italian meal without overthinking it. I'd come back.

Another great evening out and my first time ever at Norman's. I was pleasantly surprised as I've…read moredined at other restaurants in the area and I must say , I left full and happy with the service. The table setting was very romantic and from the beginning to the end, I give my experience a 10. Dinner and dessert was phenomenal and I loved the guava margarita ( keep them coming !) I'd like to come and enjoy the outdoor terrace as well or maybe an after work cocktail at the bar. Even though we did not order from the magical dining menu, If you want to book magical dining reservations, they are on the list this year !

Norman's has one of the best upscale happy-hour experiences in Orlando. The atmosphere is elegant…read moreand sophisticated, yet still comfortable enough for drinks and small bites with friends. The cocktails were delicious, beautifully prepared, and reasonably priced for the quality and setting. Their current happy-hour drink menu includes $10 cocktails such as the Guava Margarita, Chismosa with Prosecco and passion fruit, Norman's Old Fashioned, The Albatross, and Grey Goose Martinis. They also offer $8 sommelier-selected wines and several $5/7 beers. The food was equally impressive--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their happy-hour menu includes Blue Crab Beignets with yuzu aioli, Chilled Beef Tenderloin Tataki, Truffle Fries, Fish and Chips, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Porchetta, oysters on the half shell, and a chef-selected charcuterie board. Everything we tried was tasty, and the happy-hour pricing made it possible to sample several different dishes. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday as a surprise, and overall, we had a wonderful time. However, one part of the experience could have been handled much better. We brought a personal dessert for the celebration, but the manager would not allow us to serve it and came across as unnecessarily rude when explaining the policy. We respect that restaurants may have rules regarding outside food, but no one informed us of this policy when we made the reservation or when we checked in with the dessert. A simple heads-up beforehand--or a kinder, more professional explanation--would have prevented the disappointment. Despite that interaction, the drinks, food, atmosphere, and rest of the experience were very enjoyable. I would still recommend Norman's, especially for its excellent happy-hour menu, but I hope management improves how special-occasion policies are communicated to guests.
