Im visiting from out of state and we were looking for Vivienne's cafe and came to realize that it is now the Knead Cafe. The place is very warm and cozy. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing. I am so happy we chose to eat here. I had the eggs Benedict and we also ordered the wild berry scone and pumpkin scone both equally delicious! It was absolutely empty for breakfast at 9 am. and not like there were a few people around, like we were it the whole time and it didn't seem like it was running "slow" to the people working there. They serve lunch, so I'm assuming that it gets busier. Its weird because its in a business strip mall. The food is excellent. There is a barber shop that shares the same hallway. This place does not look like much from the outside and as I'm just passing through town not from this state I never would have found it without being a yelper! Thank goodness I am, delicious! I had lunch, a grilled greek sandwich and scones after. Omg. My stomach is still saying thank you! sandwiches are great! I had a turkey special on red pepper bread and a dozen things. husband had a different turkey sandwich equally worth five stars. Ssoups came with and were bad. jambalaya was a sort of tasteless vegetable broth with sausage. Tomato artichoke bisque was inedible. Broken, thick with strings of artichoke and odd seasoning. Curry? I make soup at least once a week, and this was quite bad. Lovely waitress, quick service. Go for sandwiches, just avoid the soups. nice looking breakfast menu. read more

We seated ourselves as the sign told us to do, then watched as the servers did everything but bring us water and menus. When we finally got our menu, i ordered the French dip. Don't make the mistake of assuming that it is a regular French dip like i did. When our order arrived, I bit in to discover it was slathered in horseradish. Unfortunately, I don't like horseradish. When I asked our server about it, she just said that the menu did say it's served that way, apologized that I missed it and left me there with a sandwich that I couldn't eat. My past experiences have been so much better there, but I am not sure I will return...this visit left a real bad taste in my mouth. read more

I live in Kalispell but had never been here before, I've been missing out. It was very clean and the waiter Jack was very friendly and was able to give good recommendations for our diets (vegan and vegetarian). I ordered the Veggie Burrito and it was amazing. Packed full of fresh veggies and delicious spices. My friend ordered the Tree Hugger and said it was amazing as well. When you walk in, you're greeted with a warm welcome from the waiters. Which is one thing I always like looking forward to, don't even get me started on the food, it's absolutely delicious. I ordered the two eggs any style and chose bacon with some whole wheat toast and I gotta tell you, they did not let down at all. It's good breakfast place and they have great scones and coffee. My daughter particularly loves their French toast but I cannot resist their scones. I had the Veghead and my boyfriend had the Albuquerque Turkey and we are both still beyond belief hours later! The sandwiches, salads, and service were all fantastic. Wow!!! The food here was spectacular! I had "Zorba's Veggie Frittata" (minus the Greek Olives). I must have said yum at least 30 times. I could eat that every day! My husband had the Eggs Benedict, which he said was the best he's ever had. That is a massive compliment considering he's eaten it in London! read more

This place is amazing! We stayed a night in Kalispell after backpacking in GNP and decided to go out for breakfast. We'd just been seated and received our hot coffees and glasses of water when the power went out. With the grill out of commission, we ordered a delicious scone to enjoy in the dark with our coffee. The owner and staff kept us informed on the power situation. He shared great family stories, showing us photos by flashlight. Folks who'd ordered and received their food before the outage finished their meals and left. It was romantic and fun. To everyone's surprise, the power came on sooner than expected, so we ordered and enjoyed a fresh and flavorful breakfast. The staff was so friendly and positive before, during and after the outage--just really special hard-working people. read more

This place is seriously amazing!! It's a little hole in the wall type restaurant and I believe it's family operated. The waiter Dan was extremely friendly and the corn beef hash was beyond delicious. This is a nice, hole in the wall cafe. It's the hidden treasure of an aging retail strip that's right between downtown Kalispell and Flathead County Courthouse. The menu has a nice mix of vegan and new American cuisine. It's sit down dining, but the service is good and the wait for food is short enough to accommodate a 1 hour business lunch. Love the Knead Cafe. If I were to recommend one restaurant in the flathead valley it would probably be the knead just because I love that it is a locally owned and locally farm sourced restaurant. Really creative menu and everything is SO fresh. A ton of allergy friendly food options like gluten free options as well as dairy free or vegan altogether. The house red pepper French bread is out of this world. The hash was amazing, some of the best I've ever had. I usually don't like hollandaise sauce but it was very good as well. Small little restaurant. If you blink, you might miss it. The inside has a very homey atmosphere and comfortable seating. The coconut latte was delicious and the baked goods looked good, although I did not try any. I had the Cuban Ruben, which ended up being a strange combination, but the bread was nicely toasted and meat was flavorful. I probably would not eat it again, though due to the flavor of the sauce and sauerkraut clashing. The French dip, was nicely toasted and thinly sliced meat. It was nicely topped with cheese and mushrooms, which enhanced the flavor. Overall, was a decent sandwich. The French onion soup, unfortunately, fell flat. It was lacking salt. Tasted very average and also, did not have any melted cheese on top, which was an absolute bummer! read more

Cozy hole in the wall location, the parking is a bit odd but the food is very good. They are accommodating to food allergies which is very nice. Unfortunately our server was extremely rude to us. It was disappointing watching her talk nicely to the other tables around us while being so curt with us and making comments under her breath while at our table, we did not receive the same service as others in the restaurant. read more
