First time here, and I was impressed. The sourdough crust made with organic flour is a standout--thin, flavorful, and a nice step up from your typical pizza crust. We split a large pizza half Meat Supreme and half Veggie Supreme and enjoyed a couple of happy hour cocktails. The atmosphere is great too. I love the boxing-themed concept, there are plenty of TVs, a solid beer selection, and a nice outdoor patio. Everyone was friendly, and it feels like the kind of neighborhood spot that helps build community in the growing East Village area. The pizza does take a while to come out, so don't expect a super quick meal. What really stood out was the service. We requested no olives on the entire pizza. While they got the Meat Supreme side right, they put them on the Veggie side. As I was picking them off (and there were a lot), the staff insisted on giving us a pizza made correctly. Street parking can potentially be difficult since it's located on the corner of Santa Clara and 8th St near SJSU. We visited on the weekends so we haven't had trouble with this at all. There are plenty of tables inside and outside. Service has always been great. Caleb was there both times we went and helped us with a great attitude. The meatball was tender and sauce was rich. We ordered the Cubano Pie and The Three Piece Pie. These were some of the best pizzas that I've had in a long time! The Cubano had plenty of goodies on it. There was a good contrast of taste with the pepperoncini along with the ham, salami, and pulled pork. The Three Piece pizza was simply delicious. Perfect amounts of ricotta, pesto, and mushrooms. Although it's not the most convenient for me, I'll definitely be back. One thing I should mention is some debris from the air conditioner (fabric from the vent above us) flew down into our table. The pork on the cubano was bland, and the Arthur Ave crust was really limp under the cheese and toppings. I expected more flavor and higher quality especially for the price so it was a little disappointing but okay overall. Now let's get to the star of the show, the pizza where do I even begin with this, this pizza was as crispy and thin as they come. You don't find this kind of pizza in California. My girlfriend does not eat meat so we ordered her a margarita pizza and I got a pepperoni pizza. I can't say enough good things, from the sauce to the amount of cheese they used to the stretch of the dough. Everything was so perfect. Big kudos to these guys they're doing amazing creating an amazing ambience and vibe to where you can bring the family go watch a boxing match watch a sports game or even just hang out with friends. This was my first time in and it definitely will not be my last this pizza competes with any good pizza in New York or Chicago. We tried the Hog & Bird, and the crispy thin sourdough crust was unbelievably delicious. Add onto that chunks of tasty turkey and bacon, and a nice balance of tomato and onion smothered in melted cheese and pesto sauce... wow, the texture and flavors were amazing, the two of us finished a whole medium pie in no time, every last square-cut slice. For drinks, we got the del cielo (from the beer board) and lemon drop, which were good, nothing special about these. The place is small and inviting, with boxing photos/posters decorating the walls. It was also loud, full of chatty visitors on a Sunday evening, so we had to raise our voices a bit to talk to each other, simply adding to the echoing noise. In better weather, I'd opt to sit outside next time. But on this winter Sunday evening, we were fortunate to find seating in the crowded space, the staff cleaning up a table for us when we arrived. And they were friendly and helpful during our entire visit.
