    Hawaiian Freso 16" Large Pizza
    Disney S.

The Last Slice was suggested on my Yelp app over a year ago. I noticed it wasn't too far from my house, so I bookmarked it. I never got around to actually visiting. Earlier in the day, I saw them featured on TV on "Texas Eats". I figured it was a reminder to stop by there. On arrival, the parking lot is fairly small. There are two tables outside and a dining area inside. It was fairly busy at the time I arrived. I ordered a large Hawaiian Fresno pizza. It took over 45 minutes from the time I paid until the pizza arrived to the table. The pizza was hot and fresh from out of the oven and smelled great. There was a good amount of toppings on it as well. The dough had a nice crunch and chewiness to it. I'd give the pizza three out of five stars. I'd give two stars for the overall experience, so I'm averaging my rating to three stars.

We picked up pizza. It wasn't as hot as I thought it would be. The white delight was good but could be more hot as in temperature. The pepperoni was lacking flavor. It didn't have any cheese pull to it and tasted like it was already pre-made and under a heat lamp. Maybe this was an off day or something but I was expecting ny style but this was not. Nothing special.

The place looks like a classic pizza spot you'd see in a tv show or something, it draws your curiosity. The pizza wasn't anything to be crazy about, it could've used more pepperonis for sure. The Philly was the best part of the meal surprisingly and holds a majority of the rating.

I don't know if the ranch is made in house but it is the most flavorful ranch I've had thus far in San Antonio. Pizza is absolutely delish as are the wings and mozzarella sticks. Only complaint, it was so cold in the restaurant. I won't dock them point for that though because it was cold outside and I understand they may be trying to conserve energy. Employee was super helpful and patient while we figured out what to order.

Pizza is delicious, wings are even better, but the service is top notch. Seriously it doesn't look like much from outside but it's amazing. Try it!

We really wanted to try Dough Pizzeria while we were in San Antonio, but then we looked at their prices and changed our minds. The Last Slice delivers serious bang for your buck, and doesn't skimp on toppings or flavor. We had a large white delight, and a second large with pepperoni and sausage. Both pizzas were outstanding. Our pizzas were ready when we arrived, and the cashier was nice enough to provide us with a couple empty smaller boxes so we could fit our leftovers into our hotel fridge. We would definitely return if ever in the area.

Time to update this review. We went for lunch today and what a pleasant surprise. We could dine in. They have expanded their business into the next space over to offer a dining room and bathrooms. Same great pizza, service and price.

Ask the Community - The Last Slice

Does anyone know if they bake their chicken wings? My family isn't fans of fried wings

Is the cheesesteak baked or grilled ?are the wings fried or baked ? Thanks

What is the name of this place?

    The Last Slice

    Do they deliver?

Yes, within a 5 mile radius. Awesome, pizza!

Where can we see the menu? Thanks!

Unfortunately they do not have a website, yet. You can stop and see the menu or call and they can tell you over the phone. Everything they make is from scratch, even the wings.

The first night I was greeted by a friendly host and sat at the bar, where Billy took great care of me. He recommended the Cotto e Salsiccia, and I'm so glad he did. It was easily one of the best pizzas I've had. While I was there, the cheesemaker let me try a bite of the fresh mozzarella they were making in-house. It was still warm and absolutely delicious. The next night I was feeling a little homesick after being away for work, and all I could think about was that pizza. I walked back in and the host greeted me by name. I sat at the bar again, where another bartender remembered me from the night before, and Billy came over just to say hi. It seems like such a small thing, but when you're traveling alone, being welcomed back like that can completely change your evening. What really impressed me was seeing that it wasn't just me. The guy next to me ordered two pizzas to go, and when the chef brought them out he smiled and said, "Oh, Jose! I thought this order looked familiar!" You can tell they actually know their regulars and genuinely enjoy what they do. The second night I ordered the Fontina e Salsiccia, and somehow it was just as good as the first pizza. Everything is cooked in the wood-fired oven--even the wings--and you can taste the difference. The crust has that perfect char, the ingredients are fresh, and it's the kind of authentic Neapolitan pizza that keeps you thinking about it long after you've left. I've eaten at a lot of good restaurants while traveling, but very few have made me feel as welcome as Dough did. Great food is one thing. Great people are what made me come back the very next day. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

When I asked why they have a hot plate shelf next to the entrance and that I burned my arm on it, the manager and greeter state? There is a sign! I can see a child burning their hand terribly on this! What did the restaurant do? Nothing... several times we suggested something be done and not until the manager realized that yes, this is a problem did he do something remotely responsible. I couldn't enjoy the food! I was upset? Hurting and taken back by the terrible way they handled the situation. For reference, I'll show you the picture with the barrier.

Every dish feels thoughtfully curated with tried-and-true recipes rooted in Chef Luca and his family's Northern Italian traditions. This is the kind of place where quality takes priority over quantity. Our server, Gary, was fantastic. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about Italian food and wine. His recommendations were spot-on and his enthusiasm felt so genuine. We started with a bread basket accompanied by a little sampling of tapenade, which was savory, briny, and a perfect complement to the warm bread. Came in with a group of four, we kicked things off with the burrata starter--a surprisingly fun and shareable adventure of baked burrata, fresh crostini, roasted cauliflower, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, and basil cream. There was a lot happening on the plate, but it all worked beautifully together. For our entrées, we ordered the Tartufo, Cinghiale, Bolognese, and Carbonara. And let me just say, the Tartufo was a full-on dinner performance. Gary brought out steaming hot tagliatelle pasta and tossed it tableside inside a giant wheel of Parmesan. He then topped it with crab meat in brown butter before finishing it with a generous shaving of truffle. Every bite was like a perfectly timed symphony of flavors--rich, savory, buttery, and earthy, with nothing outshining the other. I'd put this dish up against anyone's nonna. I sampled the other three entrées as well, and every one was delicious. The gnocchi in the Cinghiale is an absolute must-try--pillowy, texturally delightful, and packed with flavor. Thank you, Nonna Osteria, for such an epic culinary experience. And a special shoutout to Gary for guiding us through the menu and making an already great dinner even better.
