Let's talk about why we walked out of this restaurant. Poorly marked entrance. You'll find that you have to walk 3/4 of the way around the building before you find the correct entrance. If you think that you found the entrance, you're probably wrong. After we found the entrance, we put our name on the waitlist, but quickly realized that the bar was completely open. So we decided to avoid the wait and eat at the bar instead. The first thing we noticed at the bar was how bitterly cold it was. There's constant air blowing down on you almost no matter where you sit. The next thing you'll notice is that they have that annoying QR code to scan to see the menu. Joe Biden declared Covid was finished 9 months ago-- it's now 2023, and I view the QR code as being sheer laziness on the part of restaurants. After sitting there for a few minutes, at an empty bar, we were finally greeted by the bartender who placed coasters in front of us, but did not take an order. When I asked if he had a printed menu, he begrudgingly offered two tattered pieces of paper with an inkjet printed menu. When we noticed how sticky and dirty, the Granite bar was, we decided that we had had enough. This restaurant and bar already has pretty high reviews, and we suspect that it is quite good. But coming out of the bone chilling cold into a restaurant we expected would be warm and inviting, we were instantly disappointed. Maybe you'll have better luck. read more

Beautiful venue and great food. Less expensive than I imagined - very good value given the quality. Family friendly on the western side of the restaurant. Can't wait for the patios to open! 24 beer taps curated well - plenty of local options. Decent selection of bottles and cans too. Wine, of course. Full bar also with *great* cocktails. The spirits are listed on the back of the beer list to make things easy. Instead of asking "What kind of ___ do you have?", they already thought it out for me. The cocktail and wine I had were both delicious. Had the artichoke dip appetizer and thin crust pizza. Both super tasty. Looking forward to going back to try the shishito peppers (why don't more places have them??) and the artisan pizza (sounded like a Neopolitan crust). All of the staff was bright and friendly without being cloying - a perfect balance. The restaurant is beautiful, really nice design. Big windows out front really let in the light on an overcast day. Great environment in the restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Great place for a casual date or dinner with friends. I got the Rigatoni Chicken, but was a little underwhelmed by it given how much it gets hyped up. It was pretty good, but I expected it to be more flavorful--I added salt and red pepper to it. Pretty dang decent spot. Went here with an old buddy of mine, loved the decor and layout. Our server did a wonderful job, great service. I got the steak sandwich, it was hot and tasty. The an jus was great, went well with the sandwich. The fries were not very good but that was my only complaint. Decent parking, as well. read more

TLDR; Wow. Go there now. This place was great! Such a fun atmosphere and great food to boot! I got the Rigatoni Chicken Pasta and it was great, the sauce that it was in was perfect. Just delicious. My partner got the Tequila Lime Pizza. This is by far and away the best thing I've tasted in awhile. It has the perfect amount of cheese, lime, and onion to really pack in the flavor. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly, too. I will be back. So good! read more

Service and the Lauber burger I got was amazing. Like I don't even "like" burgers. The Lauber is your basic American style burger -- and IMO, perfected. Also loved that they're inclusive with a listed mocktail menu for people who practice sobriety. However wasn't into the tomato jam and arugula pizza. Too sweet, needs more counterpoint either salt and/or acid, and I didn't like the crust. Kind of reminds me of Chinese buffet pizza crust. Or maybe the crust was "sweet" when the pizza was already too sweet... I wonder if places think about changing the crust to complement toppings. This should be a thing. Would come here again for the 20 year old server with the soul of a 50 year old breakfast place waitress, the drinks, and non-pizza menu items. Heck, all the other aspects of this restaurant were great, so I still trust them and would try another 'zza. Plus your dog can clean up your food messes out on the patio. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch which consisted of the soup of the day (Mushroom and Brie), Paratha wrap, and Bison burger. Our meal was delicious and the soup was oh-so-good! The ambiance is casual and fun. I look forward to returning when in the area. The only advice I would give the servers is to check on the patrons a bit more frequently. We've been here several times now. Love it. This time we ordered the Cauliflower and Curds, the Reuben and the Green Goat pizza. I'd skip the cauliflower and go for the nachos or the Dippity Do Da. The Reuben was fantastic and the Green Goat was also very good. We just prefer the Butcher Town pizza. Looking forward to trying brunch sometime. If you stick with the "favorites" I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

My cousins & I have lunch at different restaurants every month. Our little gab session. We had a terrible experience the 1st time & complained to the Mgr & FB. The Mgr asked that we give them another chance as our 1st host had been reprimanded for his rude behavior to us senior citizens. So we did. We sat indoors but the acoustics in the former factory is terrible. Could hardly hear each other over the music, other patrons talking & the high ceilings caused our voices to be lost. Our food took forever to come out!! One of the orders was wrong. They did offer to remake a pizza that had the wrong toppings but since it took so long to get it in the 1st place my cousins opted to just eat what they gave her. In an attempt to smooth our previously ruffled feathers, we were offered a comped dessert which we said yes. But instead of each of us getting a dessert, we got one with 5 spoons!! In this time of Covid...5 spoons?!!! Really?!! We had to ask for 5 plates to put our couple of bites on! Sorry Lauber, you are a no go for 5 ladies who love our luncheons & would have come back many more times if we were treated right. Food is delicious but service was terrible. Bye bye! read more

This place is WEIRD! Ordered drinks. Everything was normal. Ordered food. This is where it all went wrong. One member of the party ordered squash soup and pot roast sliders. Another member of the party ordered chicken dumpling soup and pulled pork sliders. A bowl of broccoli cheddar soup arrived. No one ordered that. Turns out they were out of squash soup, but the waitress didn't communicate. We sent back the unwanted soup. Then two bowls of chicken dumpling soup arrived. we gave up and ate the still unwanted soup. Then two plates of pot roast sliders arrived. Having given up on everything and, figuring pulled pork sliders were also off the menu with no communication from the waitress, both plates of pot roast sliders were eaten. About halfway through the meal, a plate of pulled pork sliders arrived. What's happening in this place? No apology from the waitress. We were just told that the pulled pork sliders were on her because of the soup mix up. You mean the pulled pork sliders that were originally ordered were suddenly on you? Uh? Thanks? The food here is good, but you have to expect anything but what you ordered to show up at your table. read more

So when you get there order the Old Fashioned, the Brown Butter Cake, and THEN your entree.. oh and take your pup with you! I am SO disappointed with our service this time around! My family frequents The Lauber and we always love the food, drinks and atmosphere. The servers are usually amazing but this time it was very upsetting. This time we came in and had Grace as our server. She took what felt like 10 minutes to even greet us, she then took our drink order right away. We had told her we needed a minute with the menu and she never came back. I had to ask another worker to find her for us. She was very dismissive and inattentive towards us. We tried to be understanding knowing it was getting close to the dinner rush but we would see her at the bar or front of restaurant talking to coworkers and laughing, completely ignoring us. I even had to ask someone else for ketchup and a refill because she never came back with them after we got our food (that was brought out by a different server, the same one that got our condiments). Very upsetting, hopping she is new to this industry and if not I hope she gets a little re-training in customer service. read more

I like both the harvest bowl and power salad--both are good with chicken, salmon, and shrimp. They also have an impressive drink menu with high quality wine, cocktails, and beer.
