My wife and I were in the neighborhood and popped in for a slice, buffalo wings, and added an improptu churro. Wife got the combo slice--it's a thin sliced pizza, lots of ingredients, including red bell pepper. Looked really good. I got the pepperoni slice--more of a thicker, doughy slice. Good, but I think I'll try the thin-sliced combo next time. Next, the buffalo wings. The bomb. Was truly exceptional. Sauce was as expected--tangy, spicy, going to get some heartburn tonight, I'm sure, but all very flavorful. But what made this over the top was the chicken. Inside, very juicy, not dry, perfectly cooked. Outside, had a real nice crust to the chicken, almost double-fried like Korean chicken wings (but not quite--still your American buffalo wings). So a bit of al dente crunch and then juicy chicken inside. I would just say it was skillfully prepared. Because we thought so highly of the buffalo wings, we looked to see what else we could try. Saw churros for $1.99, so bought two. Dang, I didn't know churros could taste so good! These weren't fat and bland Costco/Taco Bell churros, these were thin and crispy on the outside, but filled with piping-hot custard in the middle! That hot custard was such a surprise and even if you've never thought of yourself as a churros-person, try these--they're awesome! The two cooks in the back definitely know what they're doing and if they can do a slices, buffalo wings, and churros to that high level, I'd trust them with making me some of the more expensive items next time like the calzones. The inside ambience seems more catered to the afternoon school kids crowd (lots of snacks offered there to buy on the side), but that's ok with us because they've all mostly gone home by dinner time. read more

Good neighborhood joint, as the name implies. Pizza had plenty of toppings. The sausage was good Italian sausage. Ready for pickup within 20 minutes. That being said, they are inconsistent with the pizza- too much sauce, not enough sauce, crust well done or not done enough.. our order tonight was disappointing for other reasons. We always get salad with our pizza and for the price of $14 for a salad you expect it to be at least fresh and the container full. This is not a Two Star to say the place was outright bad. In fact, I thought the slice of pizza I got on my last visit was just fine. I've lived in the neighborhood for years and that I've come here as of writing this (November 2022) only 3 or 4 times... Should tell you what you need. The price is exorbitant. I think it ended up being $8 for a combo slice. I get inflation, but come on. This is about a block away from Washington High School so I guess the kids are getting gouged given the lack of options. I guess there is Donairo's on Geary. Either way it's a sad slice scene in what is supposed to be Food Mecca. I feel like if you had fresh cheese slices people would drop in and grab a slice more. That said, their location isn't great given they are well up from all of the Outer Balboa shops. Very expensive for very average at best. Nothing to set it apart on the menu. Perhaps other people have had better experiences - I don't want to be negative. I just won't be back for another slice of $8 pizza. read more

There is a seating inside which is kinda roomy, yet it's usually empty. The pizza is delicious! The crust is the main performer in this show. It's light and fluffy on the inside, and crunchy on the outside. BUT what I have noticed is that the crust is waaaay better on a hot day! The cheese is solid. Stringy when warm and a bit salty. The sauce is also pleasant lol. I also enjoy how the pepperoni has a light crispy too. The pesto had great flavor. *Slice of Cheese pizza ($3.50), add Baby clams ($0.50), Fresh garlic ($0.50) This was good because of the garlic. The clams really are small, so you don't get the same texture and flavor as with normal sized clams. *Slice of Cheese pizza ($3.50), add Fresh basil ($0.50) Don't add basil. This was definitely a waste of $0.50. There was barely any basil on the slice. *Slice of Pepperoni pizza ($4), add Sausage ($0.50), Mushrooms ($0.50) I typically love meat pizzas with mushrooms. But this wasn't very good. The meats didn't have much flavor. The crust here is thick, so be prepared. I didn't care for the thickness since I prefer thinner crust pizzas. I threw away about 1/3 of the whole crust per slice because it was so bready! Delivery was quick, but I live two blocks down, so that was expected. There is a $20 minimum which is why I ended up with four slices instead of three. In the end, this satisfied my pizza craving, but I've had better.
