We love Lean Machine! My boyfriend has been eating with them for years and just recently got me hooked. Here are my thoughts. Anthony has a great system in place. From the online ordering being fast and simple, to the delivery's coming in a cooler to ensure your food stays contained, to the reliability of the food and flavor, it could not be better for prepped meals. You also have the option to adjust your portion size to ensure you're meeting your desired protein intake. The quality of the food is also something I consider to be very important with meal prepped services and is where Lean Machine excels. You feel good inside/out when you eat your meals and what separates them is that you actually look forward to them! I was collapsing under the weight of doing all the things AND cooking for the meal plan I've been following the last few months. I started looking at an alternative to get me through at least one of my daily weekday meals while feeding my family so it would free up some time to actually spend with them, but was having a hard time finding something substantial enough to hit my caloric goals as well as my macros. Finally, I stumbled upon The Lean Machine. Many of the large Signature meals were close to my desired caloric intake, and while not perfectly aligned to my macros for a meal, they were close enough. My priority is protein, and these fit the bill. I also can't eat gluten, and I was extremely happy that the whole menu is gluten free, ready to eat, fresh and wholesome. So with all of those markers hit, I wasn't going to nitpick the taste, because that was probably asking too much. I was just glad I didn't have to sign up for a subscription if I didn't want to, and they delivered, AND they were local. Hell, I would season my own food if need be, just keep me off the stove for dinner or lunch...I'd be happy. I ordered a few meals and got them within a couple days so I could start integrating them into dinner time. Everything arrived fresh, intact and looked fantastic. Heating them up in the microwave was the most I had to do, and when we all sat down and took those first bites...well, damn. Damn. The textures, the flavors, the sauces...the quality of their fish and meats...wow. Was not expecting that at all. I just placed my third order, and I have to say that I've been satisfied with every meal I've tried. My husband is both kind of picky and a high metabolism eating machine, and my toddler is also in a picky phase. I give him half a small meal and add the other half to my husband's large meal. Everyone wins. It tastes good, I feel good after eating it, I'm not starving and I can salt everything to taste. They offer the proteins, carbs, veggies and sauces in bulk, too. Someday when I'm feeling like doing math, I'll probably go that route, but for now, I'm so happy this company exists. Aside from tasting far better than anything I have ever prepped for myself, the meals leave me feeling fueled and energized. It's amazing how much time and money I am saving by just ordering 5 small meals a week. The weeks that I have skipped an order have been noticeably more stressful and I spend silly amounts on low quality food if I don't cook myself. The variety of sauces that come with every dish are insanely delicious. So good that I may have licked the dish of the purple sauce more than once... Amazing! The customer service is beyond what I am used to. My husband works and goes to school full time and I'm a medical student. So cooking everyday can get hard. I'm so glad we found them. The owners get back to you right away and they really listen to any food intolerances you might have. My husband has been getting the large meal sample plan and we have found that it works great with his muscle gain and fat loss goals. I have been doing their small meals which has already helped me drop a few pounds. It helps me to not overeat, while getting my nutrients in every meal. I looked into a few of the options for meal delivery and decided to check this company out. I am so happy I did. I have gotten meal delivery a few times before from other companies because I like the idea of not having to think about what to eat in the middle of the week. But there were things that I didn't like about the other companies so stopped ordering. I went to Yelp to see what was out there for locally made, good food delivered on a day that works best for my needs (Sundays!). The Lean Machine hit all the boxes so I decided to do a trial run. I LOVE everything I have gotten from them! Very fresh and great flavor! I like being able to customize everything without having to choose from a rotating menu of meals that are already mixed together. I am usually someone who salts everything and I have never needed to salt anything (which is way healthier for me!) So far I have ordered 3 weeks in a row. Each time has gone so smoothly. Just got my first batch of meals from Lean Machine yesterday, have already tried 2 meals and I must say I'm so happy I decided to order from them! For the past 2 months I've been ordering meals from different companies weekly in search for one that will suit my taste and needs. I've always had problems with the food from meal prep companies; bland taste, plain vegetables w/ no seasoning and some doesn't really taste freshly cooked at all. Now I'm not competing or trying to lose weight, just plain busy with my schedule and love having healthier meals ready, but the past companies just felt way "too clean" if you know what I mean? Just felt like they were throwing in a piece of meat and washed vegetables in a container. As soon as I opened the meals from Lean Machine I SMELLED the flavor! Emphasize on smell because other places wasn't seasoned enough to even have a smell lol. The taste matched the smell and I couldn't be any happier! A little about me to set the tone: I'm a busy girl. I don't enjoy cooking. I don't enjoy meal planning or prepping. I workout hard. I like to stay in decent shape. I also love a burrito after work on my Friday. In comes the Lean Machine prepping me a variety of 10 different meals to eat throughout the week, all perfectly portioned out, all tasty, and so EASY. I LOVE... I mean... LOVE not having to think about what I'm going to eat. Gone are the days of not being excited about some mediocre dish I made that I have to eat over and over for 3 or 4 nights in a row. Ugh, that is the WORST. I also love going to the grocery store for just some eggs and veggies for my usual scramble, and a couple healthy snacks to eat in between. The Lean Machine I think has already saved me some money cause when I'm not working, I go out to eat often cause as I mention before, I hate cooking! This has just been a huge win for me. This is probably the best meal prepping in SD, and Anthony is amazing at accommodating special diets and meal planning. I'm a very active person, doing both cross training, and marathons throughout the year. This is the only place that accommodates me. From set pre-made meals, or just bulk ounces of proteins, carbs and vegetables for me to separate on my own for my own varying daily running... this place is pretty awesome. Not to mention very affordable. Anthony texts you to remind you when to preorder and pick up each week, which helps me keep on track. I'm back to clean eating and I've lost 18lbs. I'm a single mom, work and study full time. As much as I would love to prep my own meals TLM has helped me keep my sanity with the 7 day healthy eating plans. I enjoyed the variety of food I received. The 7 or 5 day healthy eating plans are simple because Anthony & Dana chose the meals for you. I appreciate that they divide pick up days so that you don't have to receive all of the meals you order in one day. It helps with freshness and everything I've had is delicious. The customer service is AWESOME. They have reminder texts and emails to order meals if you register. (Extremely helpful for me because I almost always forget to order on time.) You can either pick up your food or they can deliver it to you.
