You'll be treated to a quintessential Jersey diner meal when you come here. Their menu is basically a novella of food choices, but the super friendly servers give you time to peruse. Since it was my first visit and later in the day, I opted for the chicken salad club and added bacon. I also requested a side salad but ended up swapping with my mom for her chicken pasta soup thanks to a lingering cold. I did try a couple bites of the salad and that was good, but the soup was far superior. My chicken salad club was so huge that the accompanying fries had to be placed on a separate plate. Now. I'm really particular about my chicken salad, especially when it comes from a diner. For many moons, I've solely relied on nearby Westmont Diner for my fix, but this spot is absolutely a close second. My only qualm? The toast was a bit burnt, but I was able to eat around it. Been here 4 times in the last few months. First time off hour and food and service were both very good. Next 3 times about 1/2-2/3 full and both service and food were awful. When manager asked how dinner was while I was paying, informed him both the food and service were poor and didn't meet expectations, he shrugged his shoulders took my money and walked away...I WILL ALSO WALK AWAY FROM LEGACY!!! The menu is extensive - so many choices! We've had several different types of food while here and everything we've had so far over the past few years has been very good and consistent. The Legacy is always very, very clean and comfortable. Service is good and friendly as well. Our most recent visit was great as usual. I had an omelet with really good home fries and the hubs had a grilled chicken dinner. We both enjoyed our meals and had no room for dessert, which is a shame because they have beautiful desserts in the front showcase and terrific rice pudding in the fridge! Oh, and by the way, the bathrooms are always immaculate as well. Definitely one of our go-to places and we highly recommend it. read more

I'm not in the Audobon area often. We went with a group of 11. They sat us quickly and service was fast and efficient. We were here for breakfast and it was pretty solid. I'm not a fan of cubed potatoes and that's what my skillet was served with. Other than that, it was a nice selection of menus. Oh and plus 10 points for the massive bottle of tabisco sauce. As a Jersey girl, diners are my jam. Breakfast, lunch, late night eats with the gang: diners are a staple of NJ culture. In all honesty, Legacy disappoints. I've been here several times over the years & just can't seem to fall in love with this diner. The one dish that is always delightful is their Turkey Reuben: what a delicious sandwich! But each time I try something new, it's a total let-down. This morning we went for a late breakfast. I decided to try their new Bonito Burrito because I was tempted by the promise of chorizo; instead I got a fairly flavorless breakfast wrap that tasted like eggs with a hint of chicken. Seriously? Chorizo is packed with flavor & with all the salsa & such the lack thereof astounded me. My boyfriend ordered a classic eggs benedict. It was, in his words, "not bad, but not good". The Canadian bacon was sliced super thick & tasted like hotdogs. I didn't try the bacon, but I did try the hollandaise (I'm a sucker for good hollandaise) & it was thick, but also flavorless. I will say that I have never had bad service at this diner; staff is always friendly & accommodating. Audubon & the surrounding communities could really use a good, classic diner. I'm just still waiting for Legacy to deliver. read more

I've been to Legacy a handful of times for breakfast and brunch. Great skillets, omelettes, and even gyros. Maybe add a pinch more salt, but you'll walk away stuffed and happy. Standard diner service. Can get crowded, but I've fortunately haven't had a problem getting a table. Their pastry case always catches my eye! If I'm in the area and need a cake picked up, this is a great location to do just that. read more

Let me start by saying that I would not have given this racist place any stars at all. From the moment I walked in with my family, people were staring at us. Apparently they've never served people of color. The food was horrible & extremely pricey. Very bland & no flavor what so ever. In addition the racist owner or manager or whatever he was, went to every table to ask how everything was except for our table. That being said, if you are a person of color or a biracial family, and you want to have a pleasant time with your loved ones, DO NOT go to this crappy place! read more

This place is Awesome with the capital A. Out of nowhere it has become part of my Friday night ritual. The potato soup is so good that I've had dreams about it! Seriously! If you come in late on Friday (we tend to close the place) you'll find us eating all kinds of diner fare, with a side of potato soup. Bacon cheeseburger? and a side of soup. Deep fried chicken fingers......and a side of soup, I digress. Aside from the soup of the gods, this place meets a lot of my personal checklist: Huge menu: Check Friendly Staff: Lisa and Brittney have been great, Check Quality Food: Check Cost: Check Engaged and personable owner: Check! My only SLIGHT complaint, and it effects only people like me, is that they close earlier than I'd like. I recommend this place, and if you come in on Friday night come sit with us! The place is spotless with very efficient servers. Prices are a little pricey but you get what you pay which a quality product here. Scoping out various on tables I saw beautifully prepared club sandwiches, lox platters, and various egg dishes. The coffee is very good a the Cobb salad that my lovely and I ordered were very nicely prepared and delicious. Our other dining companions classic Eggs Benedict , French toast with sausage, and a cheese omelet were delicious and left everyone more than satisfied with our dining experience at The Legacy. I was reading another reviewer's comments and she mentioned how she feels Yelp has made her a food snob. I admit, I do tend to lean away from diners and strip mall restaurants. And how sad, as the Jersey Diner experience is something as ingrained to us Jersey Boys and Girls as Cheesesteaks to the Philly set. So I had been to this place a few years back with my Mom, and subsequently ir burned down and was then rebuilt. It's always crowded, so this past Sunny Saturday we popped in for lunch. It's Greek owned, so you have the typical stuffed grape leaves, and oregano-ed everything. They do have a great menu selection though, with classics like chicken croquettes and calves liver, and more updated offerings such as cheesesteak spring rolls. The place was clean, pleasant, and well lit. TV's in the dining rooms were a bit distracting, but times are a changing and the majority of the crowd didn't see to care (or notice, for that matter). Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, keeping drinks full. We started with an order of 'disco fries' - steak cut fries covered with mozzarella cheese and gravy. No pic of these as they were pretty much gone by the time the food came. My son had ordered the sausage with peppers and onions, and the healthy portion didn't stand a chance. I ordered the calves liver with Bacon and onions, a side of mixed veg and candied sweets. The liver was tender, but the tomato based brown gravy was really greasy. I mean yes, it was tasty, but I could feel my cholesterol rising with each bite. Two nice slices were served, but for the price there should have been three. The accompanying salad was crisp and fresh. Luckily, to counteract the rising cholesterol one of the vegetables in the 'mixed vegetables' was apparently garlic. I am not kidding you one bit about that either, it was pretty much inedible. The candied sweets were baked sweet potatoes covered with pie topping. Bleah. The meatloaf was very good, and three big pieces were served, providing for sandwiches later in the day. So, in short, the food was good. Some clunkers on the sides, but the main courses were very nice. I look forward to trying the pumpkin pancakes for breakfast next time! read more

We've enjoyed eating here many times. Unfortunately, yesterday we went here for dinner and the gentleman that serves as the Host/Manager (85% of our dinner time) had his mask covering his chin. At one point, he started to walk around and ask people how everything was. Before he said a word to us, I asked him to pull his mask up. With my request, he did put his mask where it belongs but never spoke to us. I can't patronize a business that is not willing to do their part in protecting their patrons. read more

It was fairly crowded on a Sunday morning, but I thought it was worth the wait. The woman seating everyone was extremely nice and chatted with me while I waited. The food was good and our waitress was polite. The breakfast potatoes needed a little bit of salt and pepper, but other than that I couldn't complain. I'm glad that it's so close to my apartment. The only thing that annoyed me a bit was that they wouldn't seat us until everyone was inside. I was ready to order for both my boyfriend and I, but they said we both had to be there. read more

Been here a handful of times throughout the years. I even remember when this used to be Weber's Colonial Diner many moons ago. I can't recall the food from then but I can certainly recall it from a couple of weeks back. Typical diner fare - large menu, reasonable prices, oldies being pumped through the speakers and waitresses with that diner sass. My lentil soup and turkey dinner mini meal wasn't bad. I could've done without the raisins in the stuffing (still don't get how this is a thing), but I can't fault them alone as this is common at many diners that I've been to. My girlfriend didn't have quite the same experience. Her baked ziti was underwhelming. No bite to the cheese and no flavor to the sauce. Sure, Italian may not be a diner's strongpoint. Still, I've had some decent pasta dishes in other Jersey diners. I can't say I can highly recommend the Legacy due to the huge number of diners in this state and in the general vicinity; however, if it's late, you're starving (like we were) and you want a lot of food for a low price tag, it's not all that bad of an option. read more

Been here 2x, once for lunch, once for dinner. Both times, food has been great. Lunch: wife had ham and cheese omlette and I had soup and salad. Omlette felt it was sitting there a while, but taste wise, was good. I had soup and salad. Salad was basic ceasar salad. Dressing was tasty. Soup was seafood bisque. I would be happy with a gallon of this stuff. It was delicious. Dinner: wife got chicken parm. Delicious. I got chicken croquettes. Best I ever had. Cup of cream of mushroom soup. Again. Best soup ever. I will say both times it took forever ever to get our food. Not sure if it's the kitchen or waitress. This won't keep us from continuing to come here. read more

This place has been very good to me and my family. It's been a few months since my last visit, but I remember all the good times we had when I was a young kid. I'm 14 now and have been there a lot before the lockdown. Waiters are very considerate for me and my brother. They always come back to our table to check on us at least once during our eating time. The reason why I gave this place 4 stars is because once in awhile, we have to wait almost an half hour for our meals. So grateful our favorite breakfast place is still open ! Always great service and great food. They installed plexiglass dividers between all of the booths, so you feel like you're in your own little cubicle. The booths are so large, that if you scoot to the back end, you can keep your server six feet from you while you have your mask off, and keep you both safe ! Simply put: my mother and I love this place. We come every Sunday morning because we love supporting local businesses! The food is always delicious and the waitresses are always nice and professional too. I highly recommend the sizzling skillets! What I really like is watching staff (hosts, owners, waitresses) interact with regular customers; everyone is so happy and cheerful! Sometimes when my mother and I arrive and are recognized by the hosts who say hello and ask how we're doing.. it's just a nice way to start the day :) read more

Not a nice place, waitress was VERY rude. Ordered nachos with onion, tomato, lettuce, pico, nacho cheese and sour cream.. what I got was tortilla chips with dark dark brown chili on top ...period!! Sour cream and pico was on the side. I asked about onions, lettuce etc and waitress said.."oh that's in the pico". WHAT??!! Regardless it sucked. I tell the waitress Im not happy with my meal and she picks up my plate and walks away. She does NOT ask me if I'd like anything else. We get the check and she tells us the guy up front has to take the nachos off the bill. No apology or anything. I tell the little guy up front that I wasn't happy and he says nothing and I mean nothing. He just puts his hand out for payment so I ask what I owe him and he says $18. He did take some money off but not all of it. I paid him then I just looked at him and said " I can see why you don't have many customers " and left. We went there one other time and sat there for 20 minutes and no one ever even took our drink order. NEVER AGAIN!! The food sucks anyway. Not nice people either read more

Went to the Legacy Diner last night with the family. There were 8 of us and we were seated as soon as we arrived in a large table. We were quickly brought out menus. Let me say how large their menu is with plenty of variety. We all had different things from breakfast to sandwiches. I ordered the very berry waffles and they were very good. It was a large Belgian waffle with strawberries and blueberries and whipped cream. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating and all our meals were brought out together which is always nice. Will definitely go back to try some different items. read more

We are in the Audubon area a lot now to visit some of our new favs such as Smoke BBQ and the treehouse coffee shop. We always pass the Legacy and always say we are going to try it but just forget. We finally had a chance and I am thrilled to say its a solid diner choice in the area. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. However, I doubt I'll be going back because one of the waitresses was wearing some type of vanilla perfume I am highly allergic to and I can't expose myself to those toxic chemicals. This is a typical Greek dinner. The exception is just like the bar on Cheers, everyone here does know your name. Food is good but seasoning could be a little improved, service excellent wait staff always remembers what I drink and what my favorite meal is. Jersey is known for their having diners everywhere, and I have eaten at probably 20% of all the diners in the state (yeah, thats alotta diners) and this place is definaitely in my top 5. Their food is made fresh, cooked perfectly, and seasoned to near perfection. I can attribute the seasoning flavor disagreement over my pallete wanting more flavor than the average person, hence why I deduct no stars. Great service, they are always packed but always find a seat for me and my party. I moved to south jersey 2 years ago (was from central, right near NYC) and I checked out 4 other diners in the area until I settled on this one being MY diner. What was I talking about? Legacy is awesome. Thus far I've had so many breakfast options I cannot remember them all, yummy burgers, a monte cristo, some tasty paninis... Man, I love Legacy. The best waitress I've ever had works here. She is the sweetest person who comes back to the table just enough at just the right times. Legacy has a lot of options, and they're almost all actually good! Not to mention, I am a fan that they still don't charge for mints at the register. Some diners have taken to doing this, but Legacy remains lovely and untouched by the downturn it seems. On weekends, the place is packed. The people viewing is great. The seats are comfy. The staff is becoming accustomed to us, and the prices aren't bad at all especially considering I almost always have leftovers for another meal at home. read more

A real disappointment, this was my second time there and boy has things changed. I really could not believe I was eating at the same place. To think I took my family there for a Sunday afternoon lunch. Service was fair at best (45 minutes to get our food) even had to send the soup back because it was cold. The meatloaf was dry and the Alfredo Fetuccini was tasteless not to mention the chicken being dry and way over cooked. Finally what diner within a 50 miles radius of Phila doesn't know how to make a "Cheesesteak", I think there was actually ground beef mixed in with the steak meat. All and all not a good lunch. I was so disappointed that I will never go back again. BTW way over priced too. Hopefully the desserts my grand kids took home will make up for the food. read more
