Unfortunately the diner has no contact us email or a manager at the time we were there. I took my parents here since they traveled far to visit us and didn't want to make me have to cook. We were seated immediately but that's as good as it was. We ordered a salad, roast, and two steak wraps along with dessert. For $72.56 I felt that I was being robbed for the quality and service received. Our waitress left us for long periods including after she brought us dessert with no fork to eat it. The meat was very dry, the salad was full of ends of lettuce that no one eats and the salad dressing was not mixed well. When my mother asked for additional silverware the waitress said yes sir. It wasn't until my mother said excuse me she corrected herself. I understand the place is open 24-7 but you should have the same quality service and food during that time. We not only wasted our time and money, but we left feeling sick to our stomachs. I will avoid this place immediately and share my experience after the horrible experience we received. read more

Came here at about 10:30pm Monday night and the only waiter at the time was really rude, very quick to get our order and get us out the door, never checked up on us to refill our drinks after he gave us our food and set our check on our table while quickly passing us by and still did not check if everything was ok. The limerick diner is easily the best diner in the area. Excellent omelette as well as excellent service from a very friend staff. Wanted to visit an old favorite. It was just old. No favorite. Lack of door greeting, say at table where they rolled up a dirty bus cart behind booth. Begged for refills. The icing was cold chopped beef which was mostly no chipped beef, pancakes cold, husbands eggs cold. Went to JC 3 square down road next day. That was fully enjoyable. Not good. I gave up on this place years ago, then decided I would give it another shot. Needless to say it did not do well. There is evidence that the place is in need of a deep cleaning, like dust in the display cases. What does the kitchen look like? The food is unremarkable, and I really can not find much positive to write about given that I am less than a mile away for 25 years and have avoided this place with the exception of the recent attempt to see if there has been any improvement. I don't know who owns this, but if you give a damn then change the way you are doing things. Serving sub par food in a dirty atmosphere with an attitude is not the way to win over customers. You could have the diner demographic locked up, but the only reason you are still around is that there is very little competition in the 24/7 diner niche locally. I will no longer be going there, as you have joined the list of places that gross me out and send me to the bathroom in a hurry after eating. This is why so many people prepare their own food. We stopped for lunch and since the weather was decent, we wanted to sit on the deck. We waited about 10 minutes for a server to come out during which time the young man who seated us had seated two other tables out there. The server finally came out and said no one told her people were out there. She then proceeded to walk past us and wait on another table. With that, we got up and left. Went after lunch time and was seated in the back and told to pick any table. There was only one table open and that wasn't fully cleaned. Service was super slow and they weren't that busy at all. The ice tea machine was broke. Had to wait until our food was done before we got the soda that replaced the ice tea. The french fries were clumped together and cold. During our wait for the food I killed off a few small flies but they kept coming around. The booth behind was doing the same thing. We didn't finish. The floors were also dirty. We've only eaten there maybe once before. I don't remember this kind of problems but I do know that we will not go back there again. read more

I came here yesterday and needed a quick bit before I had to hit the road. It was late at night and right away I was able to get a small booth for myself. The waiter I had was friendly and made sure all my needs were met. The food was decent but I wasn't crazy over it. They were out of a lot of food last time we went, almost everything we initially wanted they were out of, though the waiter last minute decided that they did have matzo ball soup and gave my girlfriend a weirdly dry lump of bread in a soup bowl. I decided to go to the diner with two of my best pals. We usually love this diner more than Collegeville diner. However, tonight we did not have a good experience. My friend and I got chocolate chip pancakes and I got 3 pancakes while my friend only got 2. In addition, my pancake was under cooked in the middle! I also got a side of pork roll-- only 1 piece for almost $4?!!!! We also were never given syrup for our pancakes. Seriously disappointed. I have always wanted to stop here on my way home from the outlets. Finally we did on 12/14. It looked nice from the outside so we went in as a party of four. The inside is dated but it's a diner so what do you expect. There were perhaps four - six tables with three servers on. The female server passed us 3 times saying she would be with us but never did come to the table and finally another female server came to greet us. We asked about the ingredients of the Tex Mex burger and she told us and we all ordered our entrees. The rolls were sweet and delicious and the soup was also very good. I was excited that it was going to be a great meal. Our entrees came and the Tex Mex burger had a thick piece of Canadian bacon or ham on it with bbq sauce but none of the other items that the server mentioned. I ordered a Reuben and it came with corn beef and coleslaw on rye bread. No swiss cheese or russian dressing and the side of potato salad was bigger than the sandwich. My husband got a broiled seafood combo that was overcooked and my daughter got an omelette that was very well done. The server did not come back to check on us so I asked a bus girl for russian dressing and she heard me commenting that the food was awful and she said it was not the normal cook. The server came over to offer boxes because none of us ate more than a few bites...we declined. She should have seen that we were unhappy and asked what was wrong but instead put the bill down and never came back. In addition, they were showing a horror movie on the tv where a man was raping a woman. There were children in the place. Bottom line is the food was not good and the employees do not care about the customers or bringing them back. We will never go there again. It is unfortunate. read more

There are few times in life when a meal is going well and comes to a thuddering halt. The French onion soup was okay, not the best nor the worst I've ever had. Then the salad arrived.....I had taken great pains to choose a simple salad, as there are many ingredients I will not eat. Smoked salmon and asparagus on a bed of greens sounds perfect. Until it arrived....loaded with eggs, olives, greek peppers, tomatoes and all other manner of disgusting things they describe as garnish. I could not eat it.....they refused, yes REFUSED, to remove the cost from the menu. Way to go, Limerick Diner. You ruined my meal and we will never be back here again. read more

Perhaps a lot has changed since Marc M ate at the Limerick Diner (as they are now advertising new ownership and menu), but I found the place to fulfill the desires one might have of a diner.... the paper placemats advertising local businesses, good prompt service, an absolutely MASSIVE menu (probably about 8 legal-pad-sized pages in small font), a huge display case of cakes and pies, and of course the requisite selection of antacids and breath mints at the front register. For my lunch, I chose the spanakopita appetizer and the Pork Souvlaki pita. The waiter was a bit shocked and warned me that it was a lot of food-- which was true, because both large plates were half filled with Greek salad. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, since I have a feta fetish (and that cheese was spread liberally atop the salad), but really it would've been nice to be able to substitute a soup or other side dish for one of the Greek salads. The spanakopita was very very good. A nice buttery flaky phyllo crust, absolutely PACKED with spinach and cheese. It must've been a good two inches thick. Outstanding. The pork souvlaki pita was also quite delicious... though I would've liked the pork to have a bit more seasoning and there was one lone piece of pork that was kind of tough-- I'll give them a mulligan on that as the rest of the pork pieces were tender. Nonetheless it was very pleasurable, especially when doused in their delicious homemade tzatziki sauce. The other people in my party ordered the Classic Brooklyn Reuben, the Cubano sandwich, and the French dip. The Cubano sandwich received a rave review, and the other two were satisfied but both said they had had better versions elsewhere, which is pretty typical of many diners-- tasty and satisfying, but not terribly outstanding, fare. I guess when you order sandwiches with Brooklyn, Cuban, and French in their name at a restaurant in suburban Philadelphia, it could be hit or miss. In summary I'd say that if you are in the mood for a classic diner experience, the Limerick Diner should be able to meet your needs. read more

Stopped with two of my daughters today at lunch time. Seated right away at a booth with two place settings, had to steal a third from a nearby table because no one gave it to us. Waitress service was absurdly slow. Kids ordered mac and cheese; I got a pork roll sandwich. Mac and cheese was soupy, pork roll served on a 4 day old bagel. Kids got ice cream that was freezer burned with their meal. It took an hour and 20 minutes to complete our meal. Much better options. read more

Yuck! This place was terrible. I really don't expect much from diner food, especially if it isn't breakfast, but this was beyond awful. We stopped here for lunch after a morning at the outlets. The parking lot and the restaurant were packed, so I thought maybe we had found a diamond in the rough. Nope. The soup and salad came out first, which were fine, no issues with that, but then our entrees came. I had the chicken parm with pasta and my husband had roast beef with potato salad and applesauce. My chicken was so hard it was almost burnt and I could barely get my knife through it. The tomato sauce was the worst I have ever tasted. The roast beef was a strange, flat cut of beef that was cold and tasteless. And expensive to boot - $30 with tip. The one highlight was our waiter, he was very nice and friendly. read more

Service was horrible. First don't ever order alcohol. Yes, I know...it's a diner, but why not give it a shot once. A double cost $16. I waitressed for 5 years and if I was going to charge someone that much for a drink, I would have warned them. What a rip off! If I had known that, I wouldn't have wasted my money or time. A friend ordered an orange juice and the waitress spilled it all over my phone that was sitting in the middle of the table. She saw that it happened and didn't say anything. Then to top it off, she dropped one of our plates on the floor, picked it up, and brought him a new meal, but never cleaned up the food that was all over the floor and under our feet. We've eaten here occasioanally for breakfast it's what diners are best for. Recently we've had to give it up. The employees and management argue and tell their personnal business in the earshot of customers. There seems to be no management taking charge there. The food is not consistant. I recommend one of the million other places you can get a meal. If you know the management here then you need to tell them they are not running a good shop and are losing us as a customer and I'm sure many behind us. I have been at the Limerick Diner for about 5 times now. I play golf in that area and eat there when I can. I think the food and service (especially food) is some of the best diner food anywhere. One time I ordered a fried egg sandwich and I couldn't believe how good it was. Just an ordinary fried egg on toast but there was something about it that was great. Ate there two days ago and my friend ordered their French Toast breakfast. She got 4 HUGE pieces of it; she couldn't finish it and she said it was really good also. They have alcohol also, which is different for a diner. Huge menu selection and every time I have eaten there it was great. read more

There was a time when the old Limerick Diner was 'the' place but as the owners aged they sold out to people who don't understand that more is not always better - especially if it's overpriced and was, until recently, predominantly flavored with oregano. A little oregano goes a long way and it certainly doesn't belong in shrimp salad! Gone is the familiar 24-hour burger/comfort food place replaced by a menu that doesn't have some of things listed on it after more than a year. A renovation is very badly needed and should have been taken care of before trying to get a liquor license - of course maybe drunks won't realize the decor and with a few exceptions personnel who are not trained and used to serving the public. The old-timers on the staff are still the best and know the business. I do recommend the eggs benedict and French onion soup (though not necessarily at the same meal!). read more

Just may be my best diner experience ever. They had mini meals which were not at all mini. Your reduced portion of main dish (my very tasty London broil had three healthy sprips opposed to 5) salad or soup n 2 side for $9.95. Their bakery is in-house and all looked excellent. I had the straeberry cream puff which was simply delightful. The gentleman who was our server on overnight shift would be at home in a five star restaurant. They also serve alcohol during select hours. This was a very pleasant experience. read more

Our family went to the diner many times when I was younger. Once the management changed, the quality fell off of a cliff. It's never been the same, regardless of the meal (breakfast or lunch/dinner). It's really upsetting; there were times when you would ask to go there because of the amazing breakfast or good meals. My buddy ordered a Texas egg burger that came out cold with the cheese not melted and no egg...we told the waitress it wasn't up to par and she went to the "manager" to voice our displeasure.
