We stopped at the Limerick Diner for lunch after going to the outlets. To be honest, I was underwhelmed by the service, the food and the prices. To get the prices out of the way, lunch for two ended up being $35 (with tip), which is pretty expensive for a diner lunch. The service was extremely slow. I think our waitress was new, but it took almost 10 minutes to get our drinks and at least another 20-25 minutes to get our food (the place was NOT crowded). The food was barely warm when it arrived. I think it sat back there for awhile. The waitress could never be found - she was back in the kitchen more than she was on the floor. Plus, even when she was on the floor, she seemed to try not to make eye contact with her tables, so it was difficult to get her attention. Servers need to be visible and attentive. The food was uninspired. I had the reuben, which was hot at some point in time, but not when it arrived. It was not bad, which is to say I have had a lot better, especially for the price. The fries were good. My son had a cheesburger and onion rings. Both were cold. The onion rings were mushy. They seemed like the kind that you buy frozen in a bag. He said that it didn't taste like fresh meat. All in all, The Limerick Diner did not impress me. I will not be going back and I can't recommend it. read more

Friend and I stopped in for a piece of pie and cup of tea one afternoon several weeks ago. Big mistake. Out of every pie we asked for except one large piece of cherry. The waitress was apologetic (and embarrassed). We told her to just cut the pie in half. Should have left it, it was old, cold and rubbery. And to top that off, the tea was lukewarm. Food has been Great Every time we have come hear to eat. Amazingly even their Italian Food is Great. Sauce is Very Good. Which my husband had their special. Great Choice I had a Cheese Steak Hoagie, which came with French fries, but also came with soup. New England Clam Chowder, which was the best I ever had. I thought the food was good (omelet) and our server was great. Bloody mary was very tasty, too. Did not have to wait long for our food and it came out hot. We were there during brunch time on a saturday, so based on the reviews, I expected waits and cold food. Not the case for us. My only complaint is the prices. Very high compared to other diners just a bit north. In all, though, I'd go back if in the area again. read more

Huge menu, breakfast all day. Had the pecan waffle, which was PACKED with pecans. Very yummy. The desserts in the front case looked awesome too - we took home 2 mousse mice which were wonderful! We'll visit again next time we're in town. read more

The hotel recommended this as I inquired for a good brunch place. No. don't order your Bloody Mary spicy, unless you like drinking straight chalupa with a straw(gross) I ordered pumpkin pancakes and home fries. No. I didn't taste anything on the spectrum of pumpkin and the potatoes were so dry and gross. Literally drowning them in ketchup was my only hope and that didn't help at all. Today is May 23rd and I met my girlfriend at the Limerick Diner for a little breakfast. I hadn't been there in about a year. We decided to meet there because it was close for both of us. We arrived at 10am and it was not busy. The person who seated us never smiled or welcomed us to the diner. She just asked us to come this way. She didn't even ask if someone else was joining us. Just assumed it was us two. Anyway, she seated us at a table that was dirty. When the waitress came over I asked if we could move and she motioned that we could move anywhere. So, we moved to the next table. The waitress ended up not being much better. She didn't know how to make a cappucino for my friend. She asked another waitress who was sitting at a table (guess she was on break) to fix it. Then I asked if I could substitue home fries for something else. My only choice was tomatos. I asked if it could be a slice of bacon and she said NO. That was meat and she could be fired if she gave that to me. I then said that Bob Evans allows you to substitute and she said "oh well". So, I just got eggs and toast. Also, the waitress never came back and offered me more coffee. Needless to say, we will not go back and I will not give it a good review. Ate here a couple times when it was late and nothing else was open. Eggs benedict was gross mainly due to the weird tasting sauce. Never tasted a hollandaise sauce quite like it... not sure it was hollandaise sauce. Then had a piece of banana cream pie... it looked good, but tasted like lemon. A lot of lemon. I assume that they used lemon juice to keep the bananas from browning, but wow, a lot of lemon was used. Really could not taste the banana. I did not eat more than 2 bites of it. Big miss. Wouldn't go out of the way to eat here. Service isn't the best and neither is the food. Says it is a child friendly restaurant, but has no changing tables or space to change a child in the bathrooms. There are plenty of other diners in the area I'd rather try than to come back here. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Wait staff was pleasant and on the mark. When it comes to the food it is the most bland flavorless breakfast I have ever had. My husband had a omelette with tomatoes and cheese and potatoes. I had a short stack of French toast and pork roll. French toast had no flavor at all and pork roll was over cooked and dry. I went here years ago and was inundated with religious nonsense. Never went back. Tried again since its apparently under new ownership. We left before the waitress arrived. The prices are ridiculously high for a diner. An omelet should not cost $10 at a diner in Montgomery county. We left and went to the diner in Pottstown and got 2 eggs. 2 bacon, 2sausage, 2 huge pancakes with hash browns and toast. Coffee. My husband and I both had the same thing. Since my wife lived and grew up about 4-5 miles away and we visited her parents there for almost 40 yrs.....I'm certain I've eaten here more than any other place in Pa. Nice place friendly service , not quick but steady service...many of the people have been there for yrs. I've never had breakfast there but lots of dinners. Stopped in for breakfast after a fun night visiting with friends. This place was exactly what we needed to recharge. I had a two egg breakfast with bacon, sausage, and pancakes, and nice cup of strong hot coffee. Everything tasted great, but I particularly enjoyed the pancakes and sausage. The service was also friendly and fast. We had a large party with two babies, but were seated comfortably right away. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, too. The only complaint I have is that the home fries were not the best, a little dry and mushy. Nevertheless, this is a great spot for good breakfast food. read more

We came here at 3 pm on a Saturday, this was our second time at this diner. I had the Yankee pot roast with potato pancake, and a carrot spiced beet dish. You do get a lot of food for $17. I also received a salad and seafood soup. The carrot spiced beet dish was good. The service is good. If you are looking for a place that serves lots of food at a good price, then this is it. Do not order the eggs Benedict. By the time I got it the Hollandaise sauce had congealed and it tasted strange. Since new management, this place is awesome. The food is so much better and the menu is updated. They even renovated the place. Great service now and I love the outside deck part! Please believe me when I say. Do not go!! You will regret handing over you're hard earned money. If I could put negative 5 stars I would. This place has been going down hill for years & it's finally hit rock bottom. We went several weeks ago on a Sunday, the place was empty (should have been my first clue) but the waitress, Nancy I think was her name, sorry she was terrible. She did not write our order down (there were 5 of us) which always makes me nervous, we gave our order, she repeated one item back incorrectly, we corrected her & she said ok. When order came it was wrong. She actually argued with me in front of a table ful if people who all heard the correction. Clearly. I'm not a coffee snob at all, but it was honestly the worst cup if coffee I've had - Ever! How the hell do you screw up coffee that badly?? The meal, was not good. Everyone left more than 1/2 a plate of food. It was Certainly not worth the money. The real kick in the ass was When I went to pay, I stood there for a full minute or two waiting for the wait staff to stop their bitch session with the cashier so I could pay for this terrible meal. The cashier barely acknowledged me, no eye contact & literally did not speak a word. I was waiting for him to ask how everything was so I could tell him is I felt but - he never asked.
