This would be our forth and last time here, 3 breakfasts and 1 lunch. They don't know what quality control is, serving home fries with black, not burnt, potatoes with breakfast. We had lunch there this past Labor Day Monday. Service was ungodly slow. I ordered a chicken cordon blue panni, it came un an untoasted, stale bun. It was ok but I wanted a pressed panni. She ordered an eggplant wrap, it was mediocre. The dishes came with soup, I had Chicken noddle and she had Yankee bean, both good. The meals also came with pickles and cole slaw, never saw them. When the waitress brought our drinks, no alcohol they lost the license, my straw looked like it had been laying in a toilet. The table was sticky and when I used the restroom, it was a soaking wet disaster and I came out with paper on my shoe. No, not an enjoyable experience. We went to have a drink with our meal and should have left as soon as we knew there were no drinks to had. read more

This past weekend I flew in from out of town to visit family and friends. I retired from the area took a friend to eat Sunday dinner at the Limerick diner. When we entered the store the trailer trash hostess gave my guess an off handed compliment starting that she looked like a particular reality show star. That should've been enough for us to just turn around leave. When we sat at our table I saw that our waitress was behaving like a crack addict. I should know what a crack attic looks like because I'm a retired policeman from area and grew up in the city. I allowed this bad experience to continue and ordered two seafood platters. There must have been a half inch thick crust of breadcrumbs on every piece of seafood. It must have been sitting in the frig for days before being fried in warm oil. This was the worst seafood platter I've had in my life. As the crackhead took the platters away food flew on the floor. It's a good thing I'm a Christian I informed the cashier of my dissatisfaction and left. It's been about ten years prior to this visit since my last visit it must not be the same ownership. read more

Dined on 10/31. There was almost no one in the place, so we were seated right away. Had to wait about 10 minutes for the hostess to give us menus. The waiter was cool. The food was awful. I had pancakes. They were dry, crumbly, and tasteless. Do not waste your money here! It's horrible. read more

A friend raved about how good the food was since the new management took over. We were not impressed at all. The food was luke warm, the waitress rarely visited us to see how the meal was going, one cup of coffee was all we were afforded, and the food prices were out of this world for the quality of food we were given. How Many of us remember leaving the Hi-Way Bar at 2:00 AM and traveling to the 'old' Limerick Diner.... distinctly remember the pie listing more that several times. On a recent return to Pottstown areas, we decided to stop in the 'New" Limerick Diner and give it a try. The only good thing about this place is the wonderful dj Friday night. The food is never fresh. It is skimpy and over priced. Bathrooms: ALWAYS dirty. The silverware is disgusting. I waited for an hour for my meal tonight and when I finally got ice cream, it was uneatable. It was freezer burnt. I'll tip wonderfully somewhere else. We have passed the Diner many times after sons games. We planned to eat there tonight and were excited to try as the menu looked good. Not our best choice!!!! First I thought it was fun that you could get a beer at a diner. I ordered one and it was soo skunked that my husband couldn't even eat. My son tried to go to the bathroom, the stall doors wouldn't close therefore he had to use toilet paper to hold it closed (he is very clever). No to mention the bathrooms are DIRTY!!!!! Our food came and our daughter who is a great eater wouldn't even eat. I think the syrup was half water and half syrup. Next time we are traveling in that area and want to grab a quick dinner we will go back to the collegeville diner instead. read more

I visited this diner for the first time in probably a year, it has gone to the Do Not Eat Here list! As you first walk in the door you get a pungent odor thrown in your face. Smells like an old garbage truck. The cantankerous maître d' sat us in the back by the restrooms and we began to notice bugs nesting against the walls. So we moved across the room by the windows and continued to swat away bugs. We then moved to the bar back room where there were more bugs. I told the waitress twice why we moved. Ultimately, we ate half our meal and left as it was just gross continuing to swat away bugs!! What's worse is the staff did not care or even acknowledge my complaints. Service was really good. Came here with my Dad on the snow day today while out grabbing stuff for his work & decided to stop here for lunch. The Nachos were NOT good. The guacamole tasted so gross. Overpriced, tasteless food. Met a friend there for breakfast. Two of us had eggs, home-fries, toast and sausage. Along with two coffees. Price was almost $17 before the tip! Food was cold and tasteless. Any other diner in the area the breakfast would be a weekday 'special' and cost $3.50/person. Oh, and it would have flavor and be served hot. Will never go there again. Well apparently this place cannot get coffee right. Sorta like warm swamp water with a hint of metal. Service wasn't great, I felt as if the waitress was angry about me asking for home fries well done. God forbid I ask for crunchy potatoes. Somehow eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast costed ten dollars. Oh and by toast I mean four fresh out the loaf slices of luke warm bread, accented well with a stick of butter. We stopped in here after a night of Black Friday shopping. When we got there it was dead and there were about 5 or 6 people working the front of the house, but only 2 were actually waiting on tables and the rest were wrapping silverware. We waited about 10 minutes for our waitress to come over and take our drink order and because of the long wait we were ready to order our food too. We did get our food right away and it was just okay. The manager (middle aged bald guy) was miserable and was arguing with a waiter in front of the entire diner. It got so bad that I couldn't even hear my friend who was sitting right across from me. Our waitress never came back to check on us and we had to ask the manager if he could get our waitress, he rudely responded "one moment". 15 minutes later we are still sitting there waiting for our waitress cause he never went to get her. We had to ask another waitress for boxes and our check. When we went up to pay the manager was texting on his phone and looking out the window complaining that more customers were coming in and he was under staffed. I was going to tell him that we were very disappointed in the service and won't be back, but he never even asked how our food was and I decided me complaining wasn't even going to matter. It's a shame because I really think the waitstaff was very nice, they just have a really shitty manager who makes their working environment very hostile. Moral of the story: they need to fire the middle aged bald manager that works the graveyard shift. read more

Let me preface this review by saying I'm a generous person when it comes to food in a restaurant. I always tip 20%, even if I get bad service because I figure working in a restaurant is hard, thankless work. And restaurant staff are always working with the everyone else is enjoying time off. I never complain with slow service when I can see the staff is very busy. I'm the benefit of the doubt person. However today I just can't believe what I got. Today, Sunday 1/14/18 and we decided to call a breakfast order in at 11:00AM for pick up. FYI, we never call a breakfast order in, ever...it was a first. Husband ordered a sausage omelet with cheddar, home fries and wheat toast. I ordered the spinach pie, which comes with a Greek salad and a cup of soup. Told us it would be available in 15 min. Husband shows up to get the order. Soup missing, dressing missing, toast missing. He tells woman at register, she said the girl who gets the orders is doing something else at the moment and he waits. Finally we get the toast, soup and dressing. Still, we're cool about it. No worries here, it's busy we get it. Then we travel the 10 minutes it takes to get home from Limerick to Sanatoga where we live. Toast is a soggy mess that we will feed to the birds and they packed my hot spinach pie in the same container as my cold Greek salad. YUM, nothing like wilted, soggy, hot steamy iceberg lettuce. I don't care how busy you are, mixing a cold dish in the same container with a hot dish is just plain stupidity. What did you think was going to happen? Did you think I would open that steaming hot container and say, yummy hot steamy, wilted lettuce, I can't wait to eat it??? Husband's home fries are full of black spots, not just one or two but many. Kind of like they didn't pick the black spots out of the potatoes before they sliced them en mass and just shoveled them onto the griddle black spots and all. I guess they figured, we wouldn't notice the contrast of the optic white potatoes against the coal black spots. Also, the home fries barely hit the griddle. They were anemic white steamed potatoes with nice, gross, black spots. Busy is busy. I get it, but black spots in the potatoes and wilted steamy lettuce is just dumbness, not busy. It's lack of quality control and a who gives a crap attitude about these paying customers trying to order food from us. Looks like we'll have to drive just a little bit further down the road to go the Collegeville Diner. read more

Rude hostess is all we will remember. On Saturday morning, March 9th, 2013 we visited the Limerick Diner for what we thought would be a nice breakfast out. While being led to the very back of the restaurant, we asked if we could have a booth up front. The older lady with long brown hair went ballistic. She rolled her eyes, led us to the front and threw our menus on the table. She then proceeded to go stand behind the counter and complain to one of the cooks about us. We could hear ever word. I laid into her, told her how rude she was, and we left. We will NEVER go back to the Limerick Diner because of this woman. read more

About a year ago my boyfriend and I were regular customers. I've never had an issue such as the one I'm about to describe but it made us never go back. We always get breakfast for dinner when we go. We both ordered pancakes. No issues before ordering or during, everything went smoothly. We got our pancakes and I took a bite. It tasted like someone put straight up cleaner in them. I took another to see if it wasn't just a weird bite. Again it happened. Same with my boyfriend, he tried his and it tasted like someone knocked over like a kitchen cleaner into the batter. We waited until the server came back and we let her know we never usually do this but these pancakes just don't taste right. She went back to the kitchen to see what was up and informed us the cook has been experimenting and put LIME JUICE in our pancakes without asking. Not only is that gross but allergies??? Like I couldn't believe they did that without consulting us first. And who knows if they are lying or if something was wrong with one of the ingredients or if they really did accidentally put something in them. I will never eat there again! Wow thought this place would be better. Looked ok from the outside ! We are from out of town so we gave it a shot. We are all wishing we hadn't by the way we are all instantly feeling. Place has a lot of seats and we were accommodated quickly . We sat down and waited a few minutes for the server to ask for our drink orders. Orders and that took way to long as well. Should be greeted once you sit and have drinks on table even if still looking over the menu within 5 minutes. The food! Two of us orders bacon cheeseburgers medium well with their version of disco fries and gravy. Both burgers were frozen and lack any sort of flavor. The bun I don't even know what was going there not fresh. Now the disco fries with cheese and gravy. Asked for cheddar and gravy on the side. Well we got something that looked like gravy on the side almost jello consistency and crinkle cut frozen French fries with cheese wiz! Actual nacho cheese wiz! Never in my life have I had this served this way . Sorry but was terrible. The French toast was large potion. Lacked the original flavor that we would all expect. Plain! Another dish! Eggs over easy with home fries and toast . Easy enough right! Nope . Again complained of freshness with eggs. Very pale yellow yolk and funny taste. There were more dishes but I'm just going to stop . We all feel sick now and would not return here. Very disappointed . Frozen food is not the answer and people do know who know food. Place is in need of some maintenance. Missing ceiling tile over the cover station by rear bar. Bare insulation right over cups and food prep items. Not safe! Service not good. The diner itself is pretty cute. It has a bar inside and lots of seating. The wait staff was a little bored, on the young side. The most annoying thing was a bus person, Latino woman, was running around, banging into chairs and disrupting things. She ran by our table bumping into our infant in a high chair! The place settings were all incomplete. Two with just spoons, one with the spoon missing and there were only 4 settings. I would have thought the person seating us would have addressed this. The food was horrible. I got an omelet and it was way overcooked. My kids all got pancakes and for $8 each you would have thought they got a little something extra like bacon or fruit. But it was just a plain plate of pancakes. My husband liked his burger and the fries were good. The bill, for 2 adults and 3 kids was over $55 before tip! My friend and I were starving tonight and wanted something simple. We live right down the street from the diner, but have heard mixed reviews. We gave it a try and my advice to anyone that is reading this is to NOT STEP A FOOT IN THERE. EW. The waitress was a sweetheart but I think she cooked the food by herself because the nachos looked like something that I could have whipped up by myself in the microwave for 2 minutes. But that's not all. The nachos not only came out looking bad, they tasted horrible and the chips were rock solid EVEN AFTER BEING DRENCHED IN MYSTERY CHILI CON CARNE. But since my friend and I are a pair of fatasses, we continued to eat them. Along with the nachos, I got a baked potato that was BURNT and looked like it was leftover from a previous meal. My friend got a side of chicken NOODLE soup. I had to emphasize the NOODLE because there were absolutely no noodles in it. Like who does that? AND THAT STILL IS NOT ALL. After paying a total of $20 for that "meal", my friend and I left feeling sick. She mentioned that she felt like she needed to throw up, AND SHE DID. And with the uneasy pains in my stomach, I threw up as well. THEN I FOUND OUT THEY DIDN'T PASS THE HEALTH INSPECTION!!! How the FUCK are they still serving food. OH!! Lastly, they gave us free cookies at the end probably because they knew that the food tasted like cat piss and a sweaty PIG. The cookies tasted like they were there since the place even opened. That is all! Never going there again but if you are trying to get food in your body, but still look skinny, go to the limerick diner because you are guaranteed to projectile vomit in the parking lot. read more

Ever since the Limerick Diner has gone under new management the place has really gone under. They recently received their Alcohol license, which is great and all but all the drinks are soooooooooooooooo over priced and you hardly get what you ask for. So, my advice is to go to the nearest bar and get a drink. The food is far from being fabulous. The last time my fiance and I were there I ordered the eggs benedict and he ordered the pancakes and eggs with bacon. When I received my dish it was far from being fabulous. Also, when my fiance received his dish the pancakes were not cooked all the way and the other was cold. . The eggs should have been runny and they were not. The dish was semi-cold and barely had any flavor. Also, if you are going to get orange juice, don't! You will be paying out the wazoo for a small. More like 2.50 for a small childs glass of orange juice or whatever juice you prefer. The boothes there are always really sticky and the waitresses just seem tired and do not want to be bothered. Make sure you watch your bill because sometimes you can be charged for something that was included in your meal. Now a days when i want to get breakfast i go elsewhere. I just feel their breakfast is way over priced and not the best food in town. So if you are on your way to visiting the outlets or leaving the outlets just get food at the outlets because it will taste better and won't be heated in a microwave. read more

All around worst food and service. Haven't been there since high school and happened to go today. We were sat pretty quick and the first part was fine. We thought our orders were taken down properly.......50 minutes later empty coffee and no food. When it did arrive it was COLD, and majority of the order was wrong. Being a server in my past I understand getting busy but this was just ridiculous because our server dropped and ran never to be seen again the rest of the meal. One of the managers came over and was nice enough to remake the kids very cold pancakes and bring me the sides that I had originally asked for. Food still wasn't very good but we ate what we could. We got the bill which was wrong, they fixed it, then brought us back someone else's bill. Finally got the right bill and we discussed tip hmmm what do you tip for this?? Id like to leave nothing but that isn't right. We left 10%. We go up to the register and the internet is out so they can't process credit cards. Another manager asks us to leave our card number on a piece of paper and they would run it through later and then shred it up.... WHAT? No way. We had just under what we needed for the bill in cash and the manager was annoyed with us. After that meal and service they were not even willing to accommodate at all. We went back for the tip we left so we could pay for our meal....of course that was already picked up, go figure. We ended up working it out but serious horrible experience. Customer service is key and unfortunately the limerick diner lacks entirely- my recommendation is that this diner needs to hire people who at least care about the public. read more

The pork roll slice on the Eggs Benedict overpowered the whole platter, and the homefries were undercooked. An omelette was very average and not worth the wait we experienced . This restaurant is awful. At first, it seemed ok, we ordered our drinks and everything seemed fine. I spilled my drink by accident, and I thoroughly cleaned it up. Then my friends got into an argument so we proceeded to pay for our drinks and leave. However, I'm not sure if it was the manager or another server, but an employee started to yell at me, my girlfriend and my other friends for apparently trying to leave without paying the bill and also for spilling WATER on the brand new carpets. I told him that we were going to pay and that we were getting the money together. He then proceeded to call my girlfriend a bitch and told us all to get the fuck out of the restaurant. My girlfriend flipped out and left while I fought with this man. Our waiter must have told him that we were trying to leave, but this was not the case. I am infuriated that he had the audacity to call my girlfriend a bitch and disrespect me and all of my friends. I'm trying to get this guy fired because this is just terrible. My husband and I love this diner. The food is excellent. Many of the dishes taste very high end. The place is clean. The wait staff is very good. We always enjoy Ricky. He is very nice and attentive to everyone. The place is open 24/7, and as been around for many years. I've eaten here many times over the years and never had a bad meal. Love this diner! read more

I haven't been to this diner for at least 5 years. Unfortunately I don't think I'll go back. I had an omelet and the bacon and veggies in it were chopped so big I couldn't enjoy it. The veggies were also undercooked. The potatoes were burnt. My kids ordered "kids pizza". They were horrible. Whoever rolled the dough had no idea what they were doing. Half of each pie was so thin it never came off the tray. Also the "kids" size was a medium pizza. If it were done properly it would've been great for the $!!! The service was below standards of any diner. She sat two tables away from us and talked forever. I told my wife to get up and leave with the kids and I'd wait for the check. I asked to wrap up some stuff and she never came back. Just sat there talking. I couldn't stand it any longer and left the food. I still left $8 on a $53 check. Not 20% but it was a $10 before I took back $2. I think it had a lot to do with our timing. 2pm is always a tough hour in the restaurant business. I know because I spent 25 years doing it. read more

Typically, I don't leave reviews on restaurants, but this establishment has driven me to write one. When my girlfriend and I arrived at the diner, we were seated by a very nice lady, but as our waitress approached us, she was unfriendly, and was more concerned about the conversation her other coworkers were having. When we asked for a minute, she blatantly looked irritated and rolled her eyes. She took her sweet time to come back when we were ready. She took our order and when our food came out, one of them was completely wrong and the other was cold. She never came by to check on us if we needed anything. Only came to see if we were done. We go to Limerick Diner at least once a week and it is one of our favorite quick stops for food. My wife gets the French Toast w/Strawberries every time we go and she says it is the best French Toast she has ever had. I always get the beef Gyro platter which I can never finish all of the food since you get the gyro a salad and fries. read more
