Well was on a mission to find a better bakery than the OLD TOWN BAKING COMPANY. Well that didn't happen! Walked in, very empty cases, I stood there for abit, then a worker walked up and ask to take my order. Nothing jumped out at me to order so asked for a suggestion. But, I was impressed by her chef's uniform, looked very professional. So she took the order proceeded to make my food. I was sitting on the side walk, that was cool, than she walked out my plate, I saw a breakfast burrito, they called it a "wrap" it was in a tortilla=burrito! no presentation just cut in half with the small plastic to go salsa cup. Although I've been here a few times now, I still can't figure this place out. I was here on Friday, trying to sate a rare sweet tooth moment, and I ended up walking out with 2 things I really didn't want in the first place. I tried ordering my first item, and the person looked around in the display case and said that she didn't have it. I pointed to the label and she told me that the label was wrong and that they were out of it. Strike 1. I then tried Door #2 and was told again that the label was wrong and that they were out of THAT item. Strike 2. Out of frustration, I just ordered 2 things that weren't mis-labled and got the heck out of there. I love this place, I'm an actor and I would come here all the time while doing work for the grove theater in upland. They have the best cannollis and this cupcake called the Ding Dong. I live very close to this baker and I have tried a few things from here, like their éclair's, cakes and pastries. The pastries are so yummy! The cream in the éclair is the best I've had. I want to try their cannoli's but every time I stop in they are already out of them. I'm thinking they must be very good to be sold out so often. She responds very quickly, Im overwhelmed of how beautiful my cake was it was so delicious strawberry cake with fresh lots of strawberries buttercreme also fondant! Do not come here for the pastries. The store reaks of salt and vinegar which is odd for an Italian themed restaurant. Their pastries are not worth the time or money! It certainly looked and sounded like it had prospects. BUT -- coffee was kind of nasttiiie. I love Coffee Klatch coffee, but this place kind of killed it (what's sad is that CK's isn't too far away either). The lattes were also WAY too sweet *yuck*. They do, however, have tons and tons of cakes, cookies, desserts, and more. Large variety, didn't get to try it all. My soup was good and came with bread that was just decent, not awe inspiring. The strawberry coffee cake I picked up was also a bit mediocre--crust had that burnt crusty taste to it. I suppose if I took a chance on the eclair the place would have got more votes. I would go back again though for a more thorough investigation. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served, but I would call it more on the pricey side of the mom & pop store scale. read more

I'm glad that they're in downtown Upland, because that area could really use some stable businesses. However, their high prices and mediocre service set them back a bit. Best fruit tart ever! Ordered for a bridal shower and everyone loved it. They use a layer of chocolate ganache that keeps the pastry from getting soggy and the flavor is delicious! Very friendly atmosphere. I will be coming here from now on! read more
