A hidden local gem in the district! Super far from my house but close to my jobs:) We went for happy hour after work and it was great! They have great selection of wines. They also offer a full bar. It was a hot day in August so the doors were down... but they open them and it turns into a beautiful outside patio. We didn't get any food but definitely plan on it in the future. What we saw looked appetizing. The server was friendly and quick. We never had to wait for a refill. If I lived closer, this would be a weekly stop to study, meet with friends, or have a quiet date night. Regardless, I will be returning in the future. read more

The Local is beautiful small wine bar tucked in a swanky area of Henderson, NV (Las Vegas). It is part of retail, restaurant, living development called "The District". Although this bar is known for their vast selection of quality wines, I had some awesome cocktails during my time there. We've been here a few times and I'm finally getting around to leaving a review. This a cute little spot within The District to grab a drink and small bite. Post-COVID they've cut back on the seating so there might be a wait. A decent selection on the wine (by glass and bottle) along with a flight tasting. Favorite cocktails: Lychee Margarita Strawberry Fields Red Dragon Green Dragon Food: The two panini's on the menu are good...especially if you're looking for something more fulfilling than cheese/snacks. The aesthetic here alone is worth 5 stars- but the service and menu are equally great. Located at the District at Green Valley Ranch, the space opens at the front with garage-style doors, creating a nice spot for people watching. The interior boasts a long, large bar with a stocked-to-the-ceiling wine display, cool lighting fixtures, wall-mounted succulents, and butcher-block topped tables with metal chairs, in various seating configurations, creating a very trendy "industrial chic" vibe. I ordered the house pinot grigio, only $6, and a great choice if you like white wine. If you don't, the wine list is an entire page! My husband is a lover of craft beers so was delighted there are a few on draft, priced at $7-$9 per pint. We had a meat and cheese board ($18) complete with a variety of cured meats, hummus and toasted bread, and a fantastic gouda, and it also came with apricots-perfect for spreading the generous scoop of goat cheese on top! Great local wine bar! I met up with a few friends to try some food and drinks. Well everything was fantastic! I started with their Strawberry Fields cocktail. From a girl who loves Moscato, this drink was perfect. Moscato mixed with fresh strawberry was a drink made for me. So refreshing and sweet. I had to order a second one. We also ordered a couple different bruschetta as well as The Local Meat and Cheese Board. I loved every bite of the avocado/balsamic/roasted tomato. I knew it would be good with those fresh ingredients. The fig jam/apple/brie matched my delight. These two bruschetta options are a win/win! The Local is served on what I can only describe as a mini surf board. I was smiling from ear to ear by the beautiful spread. The variety was outstanding. 3 meats, 3 cheeses, fruits, vegetables, hummus, feta dip, pretzels & crackers gave the 3 of us plenty to sample. I am absolutely pleased with The Local. This place was a cute little find in the heart of the District in Henderson. We usually come to this area for date nights to walk around, shop, eat, and drink! The drink menu had a huge amount of options for cocktails, wine, and beer! There were even flights available for the wine list - a favorite option of mike to try everything out! We did come on a Friday evening, which can be a busy time for this area. We had our names on the list to get a table (for two,) but unfortunately weren't able to get sat within an hour and decided to head over to another restaurant with more room and food options. If you're coming for a quick drink, this is a cute spot. Just know that on busy nights [and especially with a larger amount of people] that you may not have sitting room or quick service for dinner or a bite (no reservations, only a paper wait list you sign in ok when you come in.) read more

Check your receipts, and re-check it again on your statement. They like to falsify tips! Left a cash tip, entered $0 on my receipt bill, which the server then changed to $40. Complained to the manager 4 days later, proof of my receipt and restaurant's receipt is visibly different, and his response "nope, we are not changing it" and no discipline for the staff either for falsifying credit card receipts. Service was slow and the bartender seemed uninterested. He doesn't connect with new people. He had only had conversation for his regular patrons. I waited almost 20 mins to be acknowledged. It doesn't take anything to say hello and welcome guests especially since I was sitting at the bar. His first words to me were: 'You are only allowed one drink in front of you at a time ' I was shocked because I hadn't ordered anything or said anything. I really couldn't understand why He was sharing this information with me. To my knowledge, Nevada is not a state that requires you provide that information to each consumer or that any Nevada establishment is compelled to regulate the number of drinks served to a patron. However, since I am a person of color, I can only assume that he was racial profiling. When I asked if he carried a Pinot Noir similar to Meomi, he said he had Zinfandel. So, I asked again and he told me he only had one Pinot Noir by the glass which I ordered. He wasn't rude but he wasn't pleasant. I was really excited to try your bar, sadly, I was disappointed. For that reason, I will not come back and I will spend my money elsewhere. read more

This was our second time at the Local. Again the service was great, the atmosphere bursting with lots of laughter. If you like quiet places, this is not the place for it. It's very loud, but not in a bad way. If you want a little more quiet you can sit outside as well. The wine we selected was SAINT COSME 2022 COTES-DU-RHONE. It's normally a $13 bottle but they charged $45. I get it. Restaurants will always mark up their bottles, some I've seen do a 300% mark up. This is not the reason for the three stars. The reason was because of their charcuterie boardWe selected eight items. The price, again, expected to be on the higher end but it was very disappointing to see the board when it arrived to our table. The cheese was tasty, but they only gave us slivers of it. The meat was good, but again, very little was provided. They do fill it was lots of bread, olives, and pickles. But you can tell they are using the inexpensive food items to mask the small slices of cheese and minimal meat. I recommend skipping the charcuterie board and getting your favorite drink instead. They have lots to choose from! read more

Went here with a friend and had a good experience. Its a nice place with good service, would be perfect for a date night. Loved the atmosphere. My only complaint is the prices which were $15 a cocktail and they charged us $4 for a small dish of pub mix which should have been complementary in my opinion. You can buy a whole bag of pub mix for $4!! Altogether this was $37 for two drinks and thats without the tip. This place has strip prices without being on the strip. Next time I'll just go to the strip or find a cheaper locals place. read more

While the selection of libations is impressive the overall experience and menu was less so. Food seemed to match the atmosphere, rushed and not well executed. I was charged for a large ice cube in an already pricey cocktail which they called "luxury ice". Absolutely absurd!! Honestly, if I'm already paying for two cocktails what I'd pay for a bottle, I'd rather not be up-charged for frozen water!! Give "locals" the local treatment. Came here on 2 occasions to try the old and new world red wine flights. Both are excellent and wonderful value ($15-16 for 4 2oz pours). In total, I tried the pinot, zin, malbec, and syrah for the new world and the gamay, bordeaux, valpolicella ripasso, and tempranillo blend for the old world. The server and bartender were polite & helpful, my colleague and I came here for happy hour on a Friday around 2:00 pm and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and shared the two paninis. The ambiance is quaint and perfect for conversation- it's perfect for all occasions. We sat here for a few hours and wouldn't have left but wanted to give others the chance to dine. I've been a regular at the district for years and am a huge wine lover so I was thrilled to check this place out. First impression upon sitting was odd..server was incredibly cold and unwelcoming. Was super weird when I asked for a couple more minutes as my friend had just sat down. We ordered the 8 option charcuterie which was really great! Amazing cheese and meat options. A little on the pricey end but that's the district. Someone else popped in here and there to take care of us which I'm thankful for because he definitely lightened the mood and seemed way more attentive. Joked with us a bit. Completely kills the experience. The bartender (not sure of his name, has a beard) is incredibly stand offish, uninterested, and unprofessional. We were surprised to only have a short wait on a Saturday night. Easy enough procedure, just leave your phone number and get a text when they have room for you. Service was friendly, though we seemed to be forgotten a few times, as we were tucked back in the corner. We were surprised at the limited cheese and meat options. Considering that seems to be a major menu feature, we would have appreciated more choices. The wine flights (we chose the new white and new red) were nothing to write home about. The wines were pretty average and nothing I would have ordered a full glass of. I should have tried a cocktail instead, as that part of the menu looked quite promising. More than just a wine bar. Many folks I talk to about The Local always seem to say they've been wanting to go in there or that they don't really drink wine. While there wine selection is an excellent representative list that you would find in an upscale restaurant on the Strip, they also have a very thoughtfully curated spirits selection as well. Their Well liquor is most place's top shelf selection. You won't find the typical Jack, Jameson, Tito's, Tanquery, Grey Goose etc. more likely you'll find the Hibikis, Blanton's, Elmers, even the elusive Pappy to name a few of their whiskies. Their Agave spirits are top shelf with Clasa Azul's portfolio and other Tequilas you'd find specific to real tequila bars including a handful of obscure mescals. Many love their Martini's so their vodkas and gins are legit as well. All of their signature cocktails are handcrafted with individual care given to each order. Staff turnover does not exist here and that should speak for itself. The small core staff have been here pretty much since this place opened a few years ago. The staff here care about their craft and their patrons. Head in there for a cocktail or their wine bottle happy hour special. read more

Great place to grab a snack and a drink. We came to the district for a day of shopping and decided to pop into The Local. We had a group of 5 and decided to order and share the the local board. We weren't impressed but also not disappointed. It was an average board, nothing special. We wish we would have known the cheeses and the meats that were on the board. We weren't huge fans of the meat that was on the board, they tasted very cheap. When we asked the waitress she was unsure about which was what and had to go ask the kitchen! The service wasn't the best. I expected more from this place, I really wanted to love it. read more
