The Long Leash provides the best pet sitting so far for my experience with pet sitters I've had for past 5 years since moving on from boarding. Leanne truly cares about my two kitties. The difficulty had always been one of my cats requiring twice daily heart medication and this time I was going away for 2 weeks. I felt reassured after receiving reports from the first few visits. She got along with my kitties and brought some of her own cat toys to play with mine. My cats went crazy over the toys and the plays ( in the videos she provided). She also made sure medication was given at 9-12 hours intervals. I'm so glad I found her. I will continue to request for the visits in future. read more

I can't possibly write a review that accurately describes how happy we are with Leanne and her staff at The Long Leash. For the past six months, Leanne has helped us with FOUR of our pets, all with very different needs. She assisted us with amazing, loving care as one of our dogs, Carla, was nearing the end of her life. Carla required months of special attention. She is currently helping us with an incredibly challenging (and adorable) puppy. At the same time she navigates the the needs of our high energy lab with grace, and showers our fat cat Miles with love and attention. She is the ultimate animal whisperer. We have moved six times in the last 12 years. Finding a new pet care service is more anxiety provoking than finding a new dentist or barbershop. Leanne erased that anxiety immediately. The Long Leash is THE BEST. They use Pet Cloud that tracks when they come, where they've walked via GPS, whether he's gone poop/pee, and when they leave. On top of that, there is no shortage of photos that show exactly what they've been up to along with some comments about the walk. Fun activities include walking, sniffing around, fetch (Sammy lives for fetch), belly rubs, drinking freshly changed water after tons of activity, and more! The emails that pop into my inbox letting me know when a walk started are a welcomed interruption to my work day. I love seeing the photos of their 15 min+ adventure. Leeanne and Melissa leave the cutest comments about Sammy's unique habits and I love that they notice and appreciate them they way I do. It's not always easy to trust the keys to your home to someone, but I feel 100% comfortable with the Long Leash. They accommodate my special requests which includes no-shoes-in-the-house and a quick wipe down of Sammy with a towel if he's been in our in the rain. I'm a little particular about the cleanliness of my home and Leeanne and Melissa have been so accommodating. Plus, they leave photos and comments to put me at ease! The guilt consumes me when I have to leave my pup home when I'm at work, but the love and attention he gets with the Long Leash helps a ton with that. I don't know what I would do without Leeanne and Melissa. My dog means the world to me and I know that he means the world to them. read more

Leanne took care of my hermit crabs for five days while I was in England. If I can give 6 stars, I would. The ladies of the Long Leash, Leanne and Skye, encompass the definition of the dream dog walking service. The love and attention my dog, Lena, receives rivals that of a family member. Every day I get updates on her walk or hike. Reliably on time, the update includes multiple photographs by the dog walker that day, along with a description of the experience and what my dog was up to. If I need special attention or a last minute request, Leanne or Skye respond within minutes, even on a Saturday night! My dog struggles with separation anxiety, so it's comforting for me when I leave her at home daily, she's in good hands. When Lena has a moment, (usually redecorating my apartment with torn up papers or shredding the sofa) I get a full detailed report of Lena's 'artwork,' and in turn know what I have to take care of when I'm home. They even clean up the mess for me. I can't emphasize how important my dog is in my life, so having a service that helps me give her a daily love and care, is a game changer. read more

I can't say enough good things about The Long Leash! They are so amazing with my Dane/Lab pup Luna. I really needed to have someone give her attention during the day while we are away for over 10 hours at times. You couldn't find more caring and trusting caretakers! They truly love your pets as if they were their own. And it's your pet that will attest to their genuine kindness. It took no time at all for my girl to be giving them kisses. My Cocker Spaniel Cashmere has been going to camp with the ladies at the Long Leash for about 8 months now. He is having a great time and I could not be more satisfied with the concept, service, reliability and most of all the care that the staff have given him. Leanne and Skye initially came over to meet Cashmere and "interview" him - always a good sign in my book knowing that they make sure the dogs will fit in well with their group. Communication is excellent. Billing/payment is easy. Cashmere is fit and happy and the routine breaks up his day so when I get home from work he is in a much better mood. The best part of all is the email they send after each outing, complete with pictures and a wonderful story about the days activities. I look forward to it and so does my family! We started using Leanne and the Long Leash team after talking to our neighbors who also use them. We rescued 2 very rambunctious teen age dogs and were having trouble walking them ourselves. These people are serious dog whisperers! Due to the unpredictable ups and downs of an extended real estate transaction, we needed to leave town in a hurry. With little notice - and no introduction to our dogs - The Long Leash gladly stepped up to help us out with pet sitting.
