This is one of the nicer places in the area. Recently remodelled , it's just a pleasant place to visit. Breakfast is always great , although I generally prefer natural casing sausages I really do like the sausage patties they serve here. .. Coffee is very good. On a recent visit my daughter declared that the pancakes here could be the best she has ever had, and believe me she as had a lot of pancakes in her life. service is always great . Prices are a little higher than some other spots,, but I know from previous owners of this location the the rent and especially the electric bill is extremely high. Have never been for lunch but can definatly recomend breakfast here. Only suggestion is don't sit by the door on a cold day. Oh andFYI.... Yum! This is a quaint, diner-style café. I was in town for work and had a friend visiting me for the weekend. After our commuter train into Boston was canceled, we looked to yelp for brunch spots and ended up here. The eggs benedict were delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached, the corned beef hash was flavorful, and the hollandaise was rich and creamy. Very big fan of this breakfast establishment. My family and I have been here a few times since moving to the area in March and this is quickly becoming our go to breakfast spot. The avocado toast is amazing, omelettes are great, the home fries are so crispy! My son is a huge fan of the Belgian waffles which he normally does t really like. Prices very good for the quantity and quality...Great eggs, pancakes and grilled corn muffins and the fruit side was delicious too (blueberries, strawberries and bananas) not sure if they planned that with the 4th (red white and blue ) either way nice and fresh... There were some mixed reviews but we decided to give The Looking Glass a try. We arrived about 11:30am on a Saturday, there were two empty tables outside that had not been cleaned off yet. We proceeded inside where there were at least 5 more dirty empty tables. We waited for 6-7 minutes, no one said "we'll be right with you" or "just a moment". There appeared to be 2 waitstaff working. One server filled a glass with ice, made other drinks, then decided there was too much water in the glass with ice, the server took their hand (a hand that touches money, food, counters, & tables) and put it on top of the cup of ice then proceeded to turn the cup upside down letting the extra water escape through dirty hands. The ice and cup are now contaminated. I then watched as the server, who made eye contact with me, continue to serve the contaminated glass to a paying customer. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. THIS RESTAURANT IS NOT FOOD SAFE. read more

This is our favorite little breakfast place. It's sunny and warm and almost every seat is excellent (there are booths and counter seats, as well as tables by the large windows). The atmosphere is relaxed and sweet. The service is always excellent. The waitresses are really nice and engaging. The food is typical of breakfast places and pretty traditional. The specials are usually really appealing - it's difficult to decide what to get. The coffee is always excellent, and we love the home-baked goods on cake stands on the counter. Sometimes it's blueberry or cherry pie, or cinnamon coffee cake, which they also use for the French Toast special!!! The prices are so reasonable. Went in for Breakfast and no one else was there. Ordered belgian waffle and my husband ordered 2 eggs, toast, ham, home fries, She said there were no home fries but there were shredded potatoes,(the frozen ones). We waited so long at least more than 1/2 hour for the food to come and it was all COLD. The waffle was undercooked and white on one side and the butter could not melt because it was COLD. My husbands eggs were cold, toast was cold and the shredded potatoes arrived WHITE and cold not even cooked. Not ever going back because if the food arrived cold and there wasn't anyone in the place, imagine what would happen if there was a full restaurant? read more

Walked in the door and there were a few tables open. The waitress was clearly overwhelmed with the parties she was waiting on. We stood in the door for 10 minutes and were never greeted or told "I'll be right with you". We stopped in on the way home from the dead concert and we're able to sit right at the bar top. Staff acknowledged us right away even though it was super busy. Had never been and had heard good things and was excited to try. We got a florentine omelette that was so thin it was see through, looked like someone stepped on it and was completely flavorless. The " hash browns" however completely over seasoned salt logged, greasy and hard as rocks. The bacon was so over cooked that when you bit into it crumbled into ash. Happened upon this small town breakfast nook. It is small, the staff friendly, the kitchen slow but particular, and food is tasty. If I lived in the area I would be a regular. The Looking Glass Benedict was excellent, with shredded corned beef, carrots, potatoes and onion to make a yummy hash, poached egg, hollandaise sauce and topped with what I thought to be garlic salt. It's a smaller place, as most of the best breakfast places are, so you may encounter a little wait. Don't be discouraged! It's worth it. The food was delicious. Live down the street from this place so I figured I would give it a try. It sits in downtown Wrentham across from the common and is pretty small inside. On a good day there could be a wait but this Sunday morning there was no wait at all. The service started off a little shaky with a forgetful new server who was pretty much tripping over herself. The food made up for it with some pretty good home fries, corned beef hash and eggs. The raisin toast was good and even the kids chocolate chip pancakes was good. The cook needs to change his attitude. Came in for lunch with the family. The restaurant is very small so you can hear everything he and the waitresses say to each other. He complained the whole time about everyone coming in to order food. They ran out of corn beef and he says "too bad." They ran out of chips "too bad." The waitress dropped half of my daughter meal on the floor and attempted to serve us the half that remained on the plate. The natural lighting makes this a small-town place that is very inviting. My boyfriend had the Eric's Benedict which included corned beef hash on English muffins, topped with poached eggs and including a side of homefries. He also had a buttermilk pancake as a side order. Been here countless times (right down the street from my house). I love the Irish breakfast which has two poached eggs over home made hash, home fries, and raisin toast. The hash is great in "Eric's Benedict" as well (which is like eggs Benedict but with hash instead of ham). Great food and service. Had an awesome breakfast this morning here. Clean, bright and friendly with amazing food is a fantastic way to start the day. I had The Looking Glass Benedict which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the Taste of Ireland and she raved about the homemade corned beef hash as well. We rounded out our meal with a fantastic grilled banana walnut muffin.
