I'm sticking with 4. It's small and homey place. The waitress are always moving, taking orders, delivering food, but always making sure all customers are happy and not in need. The burgers are large, they actually fit the bun, I prefer naked fries, but these were tossed I. A but I'd flour, to give them crunch I'd guess, they were pretty good. The place is clean, the service is quick and the food is good, finding parking can be a problem though.

Nice solid option for breakfast. As others have mentioned there's nothing special about it -it's pretty much whitebread breakfast.

There were many people sitting enjoying their time with friends or family. Other patrons were studying. The staff was incredibly friendly and answered all of my questions. I got a smoothie (yummy), sandwich (tasty), and some pastries. The pastries were very sweet. I tried the cinnamon roll. Significant fosting to roll ratio but was very sweet. I couldn't finish it because it was too sweet. Overall, I would come back and bring my friends too

Any of the flavors of their danishes are a safe bet too, as they're seriously delicious, and we crave them often. We've tried a couple of their lunch options and some other pastries and would probably pass on those next time. Their scones tend to be on the dry side. Their coffee is good, though they don't offer many specialty flavor options if that's what you're looking for. We're still mourning two of our all-time favorites that have been discontinued: the homemade donuts every Sunday and the mushroom toast. Birchwood, please bring them back!

We walked in and were immediately greeted by a couple of chipper teenage hostesses and we were even able to pick our table. Our server seemed a little off at first but he warmed up after a little banter; perhaps he was just feeling us out. Beer menu was great but did not necessarily contain anything rare. I had a foam ipa and a stout from dorchester brewing to follow. I had the smash burger. It seemed like a true smash as it was crispy on the outside and had the right amount of grease. The house made chips were a nice addition as I'm not a huge French fry fan. My wife had the fig and prosciutto flatbread and she liked it. The fig paste was tasty, arugula was fresh and there was even some cheese pull. Overall, it was a nice visit and I wouldn't hesitate to go back based on how this visit went.

The prosciutto and fig flatbread was decent but nothing to rave about. The hostess was bubbly and sweet, however the waiter seemed unimpressed himself. Wish we would have found something more hometown/ local spot.
