My husband ordered supper to go on a busy week night, when we got home we were disappointed in every item (maybe the onion rings being the exception) ordered. Kids Mac n cheese: if I wanted boxed Mac I would've just made that at home, it would've turned out better. Hardly any cheese sauce and mushy noodles. Goat cheese Salad: what mandarins? There were maybe 8 slices. The cheese was also more or less nonexistent. Lettuce was past its prime, wasn't even worth taking to work the next day. Gave jt to our chickens. Rosemary chips: were left out and substituted without asking for steak fries. Steak fries: from the freezer clearly. No seasoning, stale. Onion Rings: still crispy, under seasoned. Three Little Pigs Pizza: husband reported as underwhelming, visually it looked pretty good. Used to be a good place to go. Won't be returning or recommending. read more

I've been to this location about 3 times and I haven't had a bad experience yet, my food is always on point and the staff is very friendly at this location. I normally get a pizza or a the Mushroom melt sandwich but I decided to try something else, I got the Cajun Salmon Sandwich and its sooo good so now every time I go that's what I order, it's so good, the salmon isn't burnt at all it's just the Cajun season that makes it looks as if it were.. but it's delicious, you should try it, only recommendation is to get the Dijon sauce that comes with it, on the side instead of on it, the sauce took a while to get use too because it's sweet, it's good with it, but you may not like it with a lot of the sauce.. Checked out a "new" location to us located in Avondale ... if you don't know where it's located, you won't see it! Vibe - great interior decor ... ample indoor table & booth seating w/ an outdoor patio space. We got here post-lunch crowd on Sat & it was mostly still full of patrons ... several dirty tables being cleaned & more arriving after we ordered. Food - this is one of the main reasons we come! The burgers are fresh, juicy & Big. Fixed any way you want it ... chix is an option along w/ great salads & the pizza is awesome .... fries are the steak fry cut & perfectly cooked... but there's a problem .... too many good choices - lol. Come w/ several folks & split stuff. Oh yeah - great shakes ... everyone else copied them!! Overall - Solid 4 Stars! Good food but sadly not very consistent with getting the orders correct. I ordered a walnut Gorgonzola salad with no onions. Instead it came with the onions and no walnuts! The receipt didn't reflect any special requestsSince it was for take out there wasn't much I could do about it. Next time I will check the orders better before I leave. This wasn't the first time that I didn't quite get what I wanted. Update 8/26/2020: I really want to like ordering from the Loop but the mistakes seem to happen with every meal we order. There are salads and a burger on the menu, and in our experience, the food is good. As we are old and have immunity issues, we prefer to order through a delivery service. We had three experiences receiving our delivery without everything we ordered: a burger patty added to a salad - $5 and the protein for one meal - was missed twice, and on another order, the burger came without the $11.73 salad. We called and were invited to get in the car and come down to fix it, which is not the point when delivery is ordered. This time, I specified pickup and, with trepidation, walked into the restaurant. It was a good thing, since again, one burger patty was missing. As the only masked person in the room in the middle of a surge of infections, I was asked to wait about 10 minutes while the burger was prepared - they have an outdoor area but it was crowded with some large families. While I was waiting, a nice but not very well focused young man at the counter explained that Grubhub orders come to them on an iPad, they transcribe from there to their system, and they "just miss things." It did not seem to register with him how problematic this is for someone who doesn't want to be inside in a public venue, or to hop in a car to come get a missing item. While in the restaurant, I noticed some other things that make me think it best if we just find burgers and salads somewhere else. We will miss the food. read more

The location is perfect, interior decor is simple and farmhouse like (the restroom is totally covered with pink tiles...at least the women's restroom is and it's cute) and outdoor seating is small yet big enough and the breeze from St. Johns river makes you wanna take a nap after eating your food The menu is quite simple but they accommodated my substitute ingredients for my salad and they're quite pleasant about it. Their burger is simply the best (charred perfectly somehow) and fries very satisfying. Cookie and cream milkshake is wonderful and I just love the "extra" you get in the metal container which you can share it with another person! Tomato bisque my dad ordered looked delicious (and is the best according to him) and their pizza was simply done and perfectly baked. Overall we love this place and my dad's puppy was able to join us at outdoor seating (and the waitress brought water for him which was very sweet). read more

This Loop has been around for decades. It recently moved from the Fishweir Creek area to Lakeside Drive adjacent to the Sadler Point Marina. Not exactly easy to find. If you know where Chamblin's Book Mine is you're walking distance to this new location. The Loop is one of those places that just always feels right. From their selection to prices to simple dine-in atmosphere, The Loop is always an option and a good one at that. The Loop's been part of my life for decades. I can remember many years ago going to The Loop with my grandfather to get a burger. The food just keeps me coming back. Nothing fancy, just good stuff. It is The Loop Pizza Grill, so of course they have plentiful pizza choices. From pre-selected toppings and sauces to custom, build-from-scratch orders they do it all. And they do it well. The burgers are thick, juicy and cooked to order. They come with mayo, LTO and have the other condiments at the table. Select from the many options they have: Loop & cheddar, swiss and mushroom or the bleu cheese burger and more. The steak fries are thick and crispy. You can opt for onion rings or house-made chips or the healthy, responsible choices (*rolls eyes*) salad or steamed broccoli. :)- The Loop also offers wraps: Asian chicken, or chicken Caesar. They also chicken fingers. Don't sleep on the salads. The Walnut Gorgonzola is fantastic and they have more entree salads if you want something light but satisfying. You can add chicken to any salad if you want something more substantial. If you like to share a starter and love cheese then you must flock to The Loop for the Warm Bleu Cheese Chips. A plate full of house-made crispy chips layered with warm bleu cheese on top. YUM! The onion rings are also a nice shareable as well. The milkshakes are really good and definitely worth trying. Came to find out if we were the only ones with similar experiences recently, and sounds like we aren't alone. We love the loop for two items in particular - the burgers and and chicken fingers. Seems both items have done a 180 on the last week or so. Is this a temporary supply chain issue or have they adopted a new recipe? I must say that the Loop's tomato bisque is my favorite soup, particularly when I'm not feeling well. Tonight, I ordered 2 servings of soup via UberEats with extra crouton which was charged for. I received my order which not contain any crouton. Being disappointed, I called the Loop and spoke with Tae who identified herself as a manager. When told that I was charged for and paid for extra crouton, she told me that they were out of crouton and did not charge for extra crouton. I told her that I see the charge on my receipt. She said that I would have to take it up with Uber. The fact that she, as a manager, seemed not to care makes me rethink where I will eat or order from going forward read more

Trying to support local in the neighborhood tonight. Picked up takeout at The Loop Avondale. One of my favorites is their house Caesar with their Cajun salmon. Like to get a side of honey mustard to dip the salmon in. It's DELISH! Employees were awesome. Young lady and guy at the door were super friendly and helpful all while maintaining our new distances. Food was lovely. Reeeeeally wanted some of their yummy onion rings but just did salad and salmon trying to behave a tiny bit from all this Covid weight gain. Enjoy! read more

Came on a Friday night- which of course was super busy. Waited in line for about 15 minutes to order and then lucked out to find a place to sit. It gets very loud inside and the cashier I guess didn't hear us as we asked for a side of onion rings and it wasn't added on. The line just got even longer so we didn't try to go back to fix it. Had a burger with fries, Thai chicken salad and a kids pizza meal. The kids pizza was a great deal! Wasn't any smaller than their small pizza. As a meal it just gave a tiny cup for a soda beverage. The burger my husband actually said filled him which is always a plus. My salad was fresh and tasty but I wish it was a little larger. All and all can't complain that we were able to walk out of there with only paying $25 for dinner. I noticed after we were getting ready to leav that they had outside seating too and there is a very large family style table in the middle of the restaurant. I give it 4 stars because the method of ordering is just inconvenient and long. It's too bad because it would have been nice to have some dessert but there is no way I would have waited in that line. read more

The Loop has the best burgers in town. Their onion rings are outstanding as well. I actually tried the french onion one day & it was delicious as well. The Loop is always a classic place to go (more so for lunch in my opinion). This location has a very modern look and a nice outdoor seating area. They have a great variety of menu options from burgers to pizzas to tasty soups and salads. I love their crispy chicken salad, their steak fries are always on point, their pizzas are the perfect individual size, and their burgers are juicy and cooked to order. The staff is always friendly and the place itself is clean. My mother loves their milkshakes and can't go to the Loop without ordering one. Usually I have had pretty good luck at the Loop, but tonight was not my night. Went in to get a salad to go after a very long day. I asked for an extra dressing on the side for my Asian chicken salad, because sometimes when you get the salads to go they are too dry with just one tiny cup of dressing. Some locations have put the dressing on the salad already, some don't. I checked when my takeout order was ready, saw an extra cup of dressing in the clear plastic container, and went home. Put my salad in the fridge for a little while so I could unload the car and get settled. When I went to get my salad and opened it, I realized it was packed dry and the *extra dressing* was actually the only one. What could I do? Well I guess it's an Asian salad with the tiny bit of balsamic vinaigrette from my fridge now...Really disappointed. read more

Generally good food. The Broccoli Salad with Salmon is fantastic. Service can be EXTREMELY slow on a Saturday. Also, the Caesar Salad is just lettuce, croutons and a cup of dressing...go somewhere else for a bona fide Caesar salad. Still, I would reccomend most of the food at the Loop. read more
