I've been to the loop during their typical restaurant hours and for food and during their late night hours. From a food perspective, I enjoy it. I am a big fan of the salmon rice bowl. I end up getting it nearly every time I eat here. After the kitchen closes and tables are pushed to the side and a dance floor is made, vibes will vary. I've been to the loop some nights where it seemed like it was just me and the bartenders and I've been there on nights where people are paying the bouncers to jump the line and get in. Music also varies between being stuck on the same playlist or being actually good. I like when the sync up the TVs with the music video of what's being played. At night prepare for the bathrooms to not be cleaned, for the garbage cans to overflow and for at least one of the stalls to run out of toilet paper. read more

We hosted a happy hour for our partner for about 70 people who showed up. We arrived a little early and grabbed some dinner before hand so we can make sure we're busy doing business. Cody, Lauren and Aharon were absolutely amazing! Aharon was also keeping tabs on me to make sure I drink enough water while I was working the room! I got the full bride service!!! Shout out to Aharon! You're a star! Lauren apparently makes the cakes for the place and we had an amazing chocolate mousse cake! Cody was very professional and when I lost my copy of receipt he had it texted to me within 5 min from the moment I called. Everyone had a great time, we had so much food left over and Cody promised me they'll give it away to the shelter not too far or some place that helps with that. We didn't want it to go to waste. We ordered drinks and a couple pizzas to share for the table. The pizza was okay same with the drinks. Our server was super cool & friendly. A while after my first experience we tried to go back at night when it turns into a more club vibe but the line was so long and hardly moved after waiting 15-20min so we decided to go somewhere else. I recall the inside being kind of small with a big bar in the middle. So I'm sure it was crowded inside and that's not my vibe anymore. Someone mentioned in a casual conversation that this is their favorite place to eat. I've enjoyed their St. Louis Park location and I work nearby, so I made a point to duck in for a late lunch. It was oddly empty, even though there was some bustle at a competing restaurant across the street. I had super friendly service and a really delicious sandwich, a new tri-tip sandwich with a great pepper sauce. Loved that. It looks like they're really going for the sporty crowd, so I suspect this is a very lively spot when there are games to get excited about. Most of the food we tried was good; the standouts are their chicken (both chicken strips and on a sandwich) and the bang bang shrimp. I love that the shrimp is a good size and it is coated in just the right amount of sweet, tangy and spicy. I also like the cabbage it's served on. My kids got the chicken strips with fries and ranch and their dish was probably my favorite! Flavorful crispy fries and the perfect ranch! I also enjoyed how many flatbread options there are, and to make things better the flatbreads are 50% off on Wed nights! I picked the #10 flatbread and it was just ok; I love the caramelized onions and mushrooms but paired with the goat cheese it was all a bit sour, it could use some sweetness, maybe honey. We used our city pass to eat here. We had a reservation but ended up getting there early with tons of tables available. Since it was happy hour, we took advantage of a few bucks off on drinks. I chose soup and salad for my dinner. My soup was chili. It was just ok. It wasn't very hot (temp not spice) which was disappointing. Salad was the Almond Cherry option. It had a good portion of toppings and was good. For soup and salad, I thought the portions of each were ample. I also ordered the roasted cauliflower. It was good. Cauliflower was crunchy and seasoned well. Not served very hot though. Prices seemed rather high for the quality. We eat out to support our local restaurants and we do see prices rising all over but these seemed above 'normal'. Service was good but we were one table of few occupied at that time. We went to the Loop because the other place we went to was absolutely packed. I typically like the food at the Loop but maybe I'm a little bit more picky since I joined Yelp. . My go to is the French dip or fried chicken sandwich. I decided to go with the chicken sandwich. Fried chicken sandwich: I love a fried chicken sandwich that is thick and Crunchy and is coated with herbaceous flavors embedded into the batter. Some of my favorites, have a little saltiness in the batter. Batter flavor: this could use a little bit more flavor, and it is very light on the taste. 2/5 Chicken: is cooked, thorough and nicely. 4/5 Juiciness: a little dry. I think it's because they pounded it down like a pork tenderloin. On the smart side, it is easier to cook evenly, but thicker and plumper pieces of chicken have the brine and flavor spill out once you bite into it. 2/5 Color: had a nice golden brown color. 5/5 Oil: it was not oily. So I think they drained the chicken over a metal rack or paper towels. Good job! 5/5 Overall; if this had a coleslaw bottom or tomato and lettuce, then I would probably give this a higher rating. I think it needed a little seasoning right after it came out of the fryer. Chef Kenji says you season it as soon as you take it out of the fryer. stopped in for a mid-week dinner and it wasn't too busy but it was also kind of cold. Service was good and great to catch up with Jordan (bartender) but the food was average as I ordered my favorite sandwich, the blackened chicken avocado melt. Plenty of cheese but the chicken was actually pretty small and didn't even fit the sandwich and it didn't seem very blackened plus I didn't have many avocados either. I've had better in the past but maybe it was just the cook that night. The side of garlic fries was decent and lots of garlic. Prices seem to have crept up which is the case for most places post-COVID re-opening. Service gets a 4 out of 5 stars, food is more like a 2 1/2 star (only because the quinoa chicken salad was good and large), value is like a 2 out of 5 but you're always entertained at the Loop based on the clientele and numerous TVs to watch a game. read more

The one thing to know is that It can be very loud which made it hard to talk to some of the people at the opposite end of the table.
